Extremely disappointed! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!! Pictures are from after getting them fixed, so you can imagine how they were prior to that. I usually go to TRACY Nails & Spa - Dekalb, but there was a long wait and I was in a time crunch. I decided to go to DK nail salon since it was up the street. I went in for a No - Chip manicure, Jeni, the older lady did my nails. First they let my nails soak in a dish of acetone to remove the color for way to long. My fingers were super tight afterwards. It was not until I was standing in my driveway in the sunlight when I noticed how terrible they were. DK was closed at this point so I could not go back. As soon as I walk in the door - the first thing my boyfriend noticed was the horrible nail job. I decided to go in the next day to see if they could fix them. I walk in and the older lady “Jeni” is at the front register. I told her that I was not happy with my nails. The younger lady came up to me and took a look at my nails and proceeded to tell me she did not see anything wrong. I told her I was not looking for a refund, and all I wanted was for them to be fixed. The color was not even and I had nail polish all over. They proceeded to tell me that it was because of my nails, amongst all these other excuses to why they were bad. The younger women attempted to fix them by completely removing the polish from ONE nail - the worst one and redoing it. For the rest of my hands she just pushed and cut my cuticle down and removed the skin on the side to remove the polish. At the end of it all she said that is all she can do for me. Again the pictures I took were after she “fixed” them. I am truly disappointed with this place. I paid $45 dollars for this horrible job. I will never come here again.

Eh. This place had the doors open and flys everywhere. The pedicure was nice and relaxing but the paint job was terrible. It’s cracking off and some of the paint is still not dry after 3-4 hours. Everyone was very nice and professional tho!

Got a manicure and a pedicure. They dont look bad but they dont look great. They looked good straight on but then I noticed the second coat wasnt painted fully over the first coat and the sides of all the nails look unfinished. Had friendly service and 10% off for paying with cash. There were safety precautions because of covid which was great. Appointments only.

Have never been so satisfied with my nails. I wish I would have gotten the guys name who did it. He was very good. Will definitely drive 2 towns over Just to get my nails done by him!

Came in for a full set and had no idea what style I wanted. Jimmy help with explaining everything along with matching the right nail color I wanted from a photo! He did such an amazing job and wasn’t rushed doing my nails either! 100% recommend ask for Jimmy. I’ll be back along with my daughter in 2 weeks!!

I usually don’t write reviews but I had to because I can’t stop looking at my nails because they’re so bad. They guy was just rushing doing my nails he didn’t even clean around the nail or anything and it’s overly priced for no reason. Do not recommend at all

I always have a good experience when I come in. It’s a family run business and they’re all friendly. I came in an hour before closing and he took care of me. Will be back soon.

Love this salon. Jimmy is the best with Gel hands down and the lady that does eyebrows is a magician!! My daughter has DS and all the techs here are patient and kind with her when she joins me for a Mani/Pedi.

I had such a great experience at this nail spa a couple weeks ago! I called in advance for a pedicure and scheduling an appointment.This salon is VERY sanitary. They have plastic shields between customer and employee, they take your temperature when you arrive. The techs are great, the place is clean and the prices are fair in my opinion. This will definitely be my new go-to nail salon, I highly recommend it!

When I came back to my surprise my old salon was no longer, I was DEVASTATED. But I needed to do my nails. So I decided to try it out anyways and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is so friendly and they treat you just like family! This salon is my stress free home away from home, it’s clean, cozy, and quiet! Jimmy has been doing my nails since the first time 5 years ago and he has never once disappointed me! He always does exactly what I ask him too. I work full time until about 730 everyday but he’s always willing to stay open late if call let him know I’ll be coming, and he never rushes and always makes sure I’m happy before I leave! First time getting my nails done since before covid. Before covid I religiously got my nails done and Im very picky with my salon. Since I moved to the area i had been going to a place in yorkville until a friend recommended I go here. I searched their reviews online and saw they looked like a viable option. Upon arriving the staff was very courteous and made sure my friend and I were both safe. they provided sanitizer and took our temp. Once I was seated to get my full set the gentleman was very kind and ensured that we were both on the same page about size color and shape. Of all the times I had my nails done I have never seen someone work so hard at making sure each detail of the process was perfect and to my standard. He was very thoughtful and I loved the end result. Its safe to say I will continue to come here with my friend and recommend this place to my friends and family.

I absolutely LOVE this nail salon! I refuse to go anywhere else. The entire family is super friendly and they will ALWAYS do your nails how you want them done. Just like any nail salon they can be busy at times, but if you make an appointment you can always get in!

At first I loved this place, walked in, greeted immediately. But the woman doing my feet immediately got upset when I asked for a basic pedicure. After my toes were done drying my heels were still crusty. I had to come home and fix them. On top of that the polish lifted immediately

I went in for a pedicure and was pleased with the service and the professional job. I thought the ladies providing the service were kind and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. My nails came out pretty, I was relaxed and felt like I had been pampered when I left. I would recommend them to others.

Its ok, dont think Id recommend this place to friends. The lady that did my toes was very nice and everything but the guy who started my nails just whipped through the process and didnt even clean then up, the cut off my nails are uneven and he didnt even try to clean up the edges. I dont tip when you dont take some pride in your work.

I came in just to get a filling and was told that there would be an 10 upcharge because I have long nails they said it was going to be $50 and that if I wanted to change color it was going to be an additional $30 which if you ask me is crazy as soon as I stepped in and asked a few questions it was more as if I was a burden to them more than anything. If you want somewhere to go that gives you a fair price and has excellent customer service I highly recommend VP nails they were not bothered by any of my questions and were fantastic DK nails not so much..

I went here to get a refill on nails I got done in Chicago. I got my nails done by the man here. The entire time he did my refill, he gossiped about another nail technician that does nails 10x better than him, saying he could to the same nails. He half way painted my nails. as I reached to pay, I messed my polish up on my wallet, the niece polished over my matte white polish and made it worse. I got my nails done on Friday, one of my nails came off on Sunday. Worst nail shop ever! I will never get my nails done in the area again. Also, as he was doing my nails, another customer came in and said her nail came off after two days and he told her there was nothing he could do about it.This shop does not put the client first a t all and the man here sucks at nails!

I havent gotten my nails done in years. This is the first time I have gotten my nails done in the DeKalb area. At D K Nails, I got a no chip french manicure. I walked in 30 minutes before close and the guy was still willing to do my nails. He was patient and did great work. I will definitely be getting my nails done here again.

I had the best experience here today, they were so kind and got to us as quick as they could, I came in to get a pedicure, and was sat in a very low lit very relaxing atmosphere, my technician was very thorough and took her time, I surely will be back.

Love this place. The owner always does such a good job. My natural nails are horrible and last time I went in there I needed a new set of fake nails.My natural ones were so bad that they were bleeding after I tapped them on a table. He managed not to hurt me at all and make them gorgeous with a new set.

My nails are crooked and uneven. The polish job is very poor. You can tell where each stroke of the brush was. I go to DK all the tome for my feet and they do a good job and I’ve gotten my nails done there multiple times but this time they just neglected me nails and what I said I wanted done I said I wanted coffin and they slightly filed the edges so they just look like bad square nails. Will not be begging acrylics here again but will be gettinf me feet again.

Just walked in to get my nails done for a wedding and the I was asking questions about pricing and other questions. I was indecisive of if I wanted no chip or fake nails and didnt know the difference in price. I chose to do fake nails so she started to take my nail polish and I told her I wanted to switch to no chip and she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and then started talking in another language.Ive never walked out of a nail salon and I will never give them my business.

MOST PLACE EVER!! the woman ripped half of one eyebrow off and left the other round. So now one is straight and VERY thin and the other rounded and thick! A day before my school is back in session. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I had to buy over $30 in products at Ulta to at least draw in the eyebrow. DONNOT GO HERE FOR WAXING!!

When I got in they had me sit down and wait while a middle schooler came and took off my nail polish so I was obligated to stay and wait an extra 15 minutes to get helped while they had an extra nail technician sitting there doing her own nails. This lady then proceeded to help a different walk in client who was getting the same service I am.

Ive only gone to DK nails to get a No-Chip manicures if other places are booked or closed. They do a Great job with every manicure that they have done to me! They are very nice and if you have an appointment, they will take you before walk-ins which i like in a type of facility. Would reccomend if your just getting manicures!
