I was told to be here at 7:30 to get my brakes changed and when I got here , the open sign was on but the door was locked . I called multiple times and no one answered and no one is here . I’ve been waiting for a bit and nothing . If you say you are open at 7:30 then be here at 7:30. Otherwise change your hours . Definitely not how to run a business but 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the best place to go if youre having car problems. When you get there just ask for Brian. Hes the best mechanic in the surrounding counties.

Was told the day before to come at 7:30, and that JUST changing out the pads was going to be around $60. So my spouse shows up at 7:30 and waits for 40 minutes before leaving, because no one opened the store. She calls and says that it will cost $400 to basically replace the entire brake assembly. And tries to upsell her lifetime brakes. 3 strikes, do not use.

My brakes are still squeaking and scrubbing the same thing As to when I brought the car in for at first. They are just taking peoples money and not fixing it. They are using cheap brakes and equipment but are charging high prices! I was supposed to have new brakes and rotors got the work done on the 29th of March and now my brakes are back squeaking and scrubbing waste of money and all they want to do is keep on experimenting on my car! Waste of time and money i wouldn’t suggest this place at all! The manager will not return any of my money I’m literally out of $410! I have went to this place twice for the same work to be completed but it never got completed! They are getting over on women!

Professional and timely service

I will not be going back and would not recommend. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I dropped my truck off at 1pm. The guy told me he would have my truck pads replaced and an oil change in 1.5 hours. After two hours I called. He said to come at 5:30 and when I showed up he said they still were not done and they’ve had a “busy” day. So then I waited there for 30 more minutes before it was done. No communication. I had to call the first time. Then I came when he said he would have it done at 5:30 and had to wait longer. He was sitting around in the office until I showed up and then he went out and started making it happen. After 30 minutes of waiting I went out there and all the mechanics were playing with a boat in the back parking lot. The mechanic told me it would be another 30 minutes and when I told him I had already been waiting 30 minutes he snapped at me and told me wait and he would get to it. So I will not be spending my money here any more.

Brian is literally my favorite person! I’ve been going to him for the past 2 years i believe. He has the best prices in the city. & does amazing work. I can count on him for anything and i love Being able to trust someone with my car . Brakes for less is the BEST

Go in for ac compressor for jeep, my air blew out of my vents at the time. Charged 950 bucks for parts and labor, they put in the compressor and air only blew out of defrost. It blew perfectly out of the vents before repairs were made. They let me know it was only blowing out of defrost and the part I needed to fix it was close to 600 more dollars.whoch just blew my mind because it was blowing completely fine out the vents before the repairs. This was a second chance because a couple of years ago they burnt my wife on an 800$ tube up which 5 months later I was changing burned plugs. Smfh

My wife took her car to get her brakes worked on at the Hwy 31 location in Decatur. She was told that it will be lifetime warranty on the work. Recently she has had some issues with them so she has been by the place several times ans every time she is given a excuse. She is tired of rhe excuses and will not be back

I dont typically write reviews but my experience with Brakes For Less definitely deserved a 5 star review. I went in thinking I needed new brakes (they have better prices than all of the competition in the area) but when they put my car on the lift they told me that I only needed my pads to be cleaned and that there was a piece of metal rubbing my rotor. They cleaned my pads and fixed the rubbing problem. To conclude, if youre looking for an honest, reliable mechanic who isnt going to try to sell you something you dont need this is the place to go. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

The most honest mechanic I have ever met. Someone quoted me $900 to fix my ac, moving the engine, etc. I went to Brian, he ran some dye through the system and charged me $3 for a ripped hose. It was completely fixed! In the past few years, both of our cars have needed some work, he has always finished quickly and honestly. He has fast ordered some parts and reordered when that part came in broken. I trust him completely and will be coming to him as long as he is open!

The guy who did my brakes was fast and efficient . They give you a lifetime warranty on your brake pads and a 1yr warranty on your rotor. Got in and out of there in a good decent time .

Overcharged for parts by double when I told him about it he said horses**t. He is a jerk he put one caliper one the car and before I was 2 miles away the other one was smoking. He charged $84.+ for the caliper I had already checked pricing at OREILLYs auto parts it was 43.99 with the core. I bought my own and paid him to put it in another mechanic said his wholesale price is $28.00 all the other brake parts, pads rotors were also double the price of the parts store. My brake job cost $440.+ that is in no way Brakes for LESS Maybe BRAKES FOR MUCH MUCH MORE.... I hope this review keeps someone in the Decatur Alabama area from making the same mistake. If you really want them to work on your car find out what parts you need and go buy them and let them install the parts. It will save you a fortune.They claim the owner will call he wont he wouldnt even show his face when we picked up the car. Hes a real jerk.Also he has a sign in the office I find very offensive it says MY SHOP MY RULES.

They were very busy when I stopped in for a brake check on my Ford Ranger. They asked if I could wait or possibly come back in 30 minutes and then they could get me right in. I left, came back and Brian took me right in, got the truck on the lift and within 20 minutes told me what was wrong. Rotors, pads, drums and shoes were all good. Just needed the front calipers replaced. My fear of a $400 brake job turned out to cost $140. No pressure to buy anything, no upselling, just heres what you need. I was on my way in about an hour after the new calipers arrived. I think these guys are honest and want your business. No tricks, no gimmicks. They can do most any type of auto repair work, not just brakes. Ill use them again in the future.

Went there to get my car work got the car back with oil all over my door panel, seats, stirwheel, and carpet on the floor. took it back to have them clean it out and the young man that works there had a bad attitude like someone did something to him.
