My sons first time there and they were excellent. Shop is very clean , modern , and professional. My son saw Tony , I highly recommend him .

Its not even a competition, this is the best barbershop in the north shore. Ive tried everywhere from Revere, Lynn, Peabody, East Boston and no one can compare to the quality these barber hold themselves to. Save yourself the trouble and call for a cut, you wont regret it.

Dana is awesome! He did my sons haircut to perfection! My son is 6 and looks amazing! He had school pictures the next day, and everyone was ranting and raving about how awesome his hair looked! Super professional and all around, very friendly! I totally recommend this place!

Lets put it this way, I moved to NH 4 years ago and I have yet to find a Barber anywhere near as talented as the guys at Messinas. Ive driven 1.5-2 hours for a cut and shave even though there is a barber 5 mins down the road. You could sit in any chair at Messinas and know that youre going to get top notch service so dont hesitate to snatch up any available time. 10/10 would recommend to a friend (if all my friends didnt already go to Messinas)

First cut since the lockdown, they were awesome! Tony is such a nice guy, hes hilarious and so down to earth, it was a great experience. Im glad theyre doing well since they opened up a few weeks ago. With sanitary precautions in place you send a message on Instagram to reserve a spot.

Good environment to be around. Reminds me of the movie called “The Barbershop” haha the guys are always cracking jokes. Definitely my favorite barbershop I’ve been to.

My all time favorite barber shop. They put expert work into all of their cuts and shave. No matter what you ask for youll look good. The shop has a cool vibe with new pop art paintings that they update fairly often. New music plays over the speakers they have there and sports network is almost always on the TV. Youll never be bored waiting as every barber engages in witty banter.

Was my 1st time there and I was with my 12 year old nephew and hes been going for a while but the barbershop was great if you are 54 12 year old theyll make you feel right at home great place to go

This is the spot to go for a haircut. All of the barbers take their time and make sure your hair is perfect before you leave. It is a popular place so you should probably show up early but well worth the wait

Try to be one of the first ones there when they open haha not to long of a wait but I have my barber a picture and he was able to replicate my hair to it perfectly. Ill definitely be going there as my #1 barber now. And also the prices are very very good.

Friendly staff. I got a design on bottom half of my hair. It looked really nice at the shop but I went home and showered and clumps of the long hair on the top half came out. So much that I went back to have them fix it. They said they didnt see anything wrong but I got back home I could see in pictures that it was uneven. Great guys cuts but maybe go to Canons in Lynn if you are a lady with an undercut.

I brought my one year old in to the shop the other day. Tony cut his hair. I was expecting my son to flip out but Tony was interacting with him and joking with him, his customer service skills were great. I have definitely found my sons go-to barber

This barber shop does the best bald fades. Ive been to many barber shops being active duty military and I would say Im the most impressed with Messinas. Tony is the man btw.

Ive been to multiple barbershops in the area and this place was the first to give me a true bald fade. Ask any other place for a bald fade and you will get a zero instead. The price is a little bit more expensive than other places ($20 - 23), but I believe its worth it. They put more time and effort into their haircuts than any other place Ive been to in this area.

The guys are all really good barbers and the atmosphere is good but they need to figure out a better waiting system.

This is the first review I have ever written for anything because I think people should know. Been going here for about 2 years and have had a pretty good experience, but I went in on a Saturday and they were suppose to close at 5 and I showed up at 2. There was only 2 kids cutting so they were ready to leave for the weekend and the young kid I got on the fair left cut my hair and decided to close shop early and then rushed through my haircut.I Have seen his haircuts and they are good but he finished me in 20 mins and gave me the worst fade I have received in 10 years. It looked like someone put a bowl on my head and shaved me bald around the sides. There were random hairs everywhere with bald nicks. I have received a better haircut from a friend with clippers in there backyard as a kid. It was so bad that I had to call my life barber shop in Salem and have them fix me. they took me in at 5 fixed me up and stayed late past close to for my haircut. So I ended up paying for 2 haircuts that day. I will never go back to messinas again, and if your in the area I would go to my life barber shop instead.

I came in looking gorgeous and I came out looking like I had a piece of poop on my head. Very dissapointed. Asked not to cut from the top and I now am half way to being bald. Unacceptable

This shop is a JOKE! Sat and waited for a haircut for over an hour. Was never greeted by the staff when i entered. The employees cutting at the time. They all had customers in their chairs and 6 people waiting. The employees openly talked about banging girls and the crazy vacations they took and how the people on the trip couldnt hang. Meanwhile the 6 people waiting foolishly wait. The staff has no sense of urgency. A fourth employee walks in to deliver the coffee and then cut hair. Doesnt announce hes available to cut just allows anyone to jump in the chair instead of looking/asking to find out whos next. As someone who is from out of town, this was a horrible barber shop to go try and get a cut at. Not to mention ALL cursing and im from NY. So that must tell you how bad this service was.
