I switched to penske a long time ago since theyre so much nicer than uhauls, and I use their commercial rentals as well. At this location the trucks have always been clean and things pretty easy. They have some parking if you need it for a day rental but its limited. Pickup times are the notable thing here as there was only one person working the counter the last two times I visited. For a morning pickup with commercial rentals it can put things behind schedule if one isnt careful.

The service here is terrible. The maintenance here is terrible.We regularly rent 3-4 units on a continuing basis from Penske. This location happens to be the closest one to us. Just recently, we rented an additional unit, and when we received it there was no AC at all. It blew nothing but hot air. We take it back, and they tell us they don’t have a replacement for 3 months, and that it will be several days to get it looked at and get repaired.Fast forward a week, I have to call to get an update, where they tell me it’s been done for a day or two already. I pick it up. No ac at all. Again. This time it doesn’t even blow at all.I take it back, get attitude from the service staff, and am told there is still no replacement unit and that it would be repaired in one-two days max. I specifically ask for a call as soon as it is ready because I am losing money for every day that it is off the road.It took another week to get it fixed. I didn’t get a phone call at all, had to call myself. Plus, when I arrived to pick it up, we could see the service staff sitting through the window talking while we waited 20 minutes to be assisted.Ridiculous.

Reserved my truck with a lift gate ahead of time. When i arrived to pick it up, after an hour I was told they did not have my truck and that i would have to drive to another location. My reservation was for 7 am. So when i arrive at the second location they dont open till 930. So i now am 3 and a half hours late to my job. The second location does not have trucks with lift gates. When i call back to the goodnight location to get some help the person i was speaking to was rude and then hung up on me. Absolute trash company.

It would be nice if this place was accessed a bit easier. Also, road work and/or other construction should be accounted for when attempting to reach this or any other facility.

The lady at the front desk named Ella was not only unhelpful and rude, but it only gets worse from there. She told me card declined and after apologizing and trying a different card (my first card had the money, but I figured it was just getting flagged) she said that card was declined too, after that I asked her to try that card again, and it was still declined she even told me she triple checked to make sure she was putting all the information in correctly.... yeah right. We called chase bank and they informed us that there were some pending transactions and they weren’t being flagged for fraud, but the person manually typing the card information in was putting the cvv code or the expiration date wrong. After telling her this she got somebody else to try and they did it right and just let us use a chip reader rather than manual entry. She didn’t apologize either... she just gave us a whole bunch of attitude got us the truck and stormed off. If I didn’t absolutely need the truck right at that moment, I would’ve just gone somewhere else. I recommend going anywhere else for everyone else out there.Oh and on my receipt even my name was spelled wrong lol she typed Davaid and when I told her she blamed it on the person who helped us run the card right.

I found myself in need of a cargo van and decided to call Penske. They set me up with a cargo van within the hour I was behind the wheel. The van was clean, comfortable, had working AC, and very affordable, and the whole process was very easy. Thanks guys for helping me out in a bind. I will call on you again!

Complete service failure. Sent my driver to pick up a tandem axle sleeper tractor on Monday 11/16 that we had reserved a week ahead of time and also confirmed with Emma on Friday 11/13. He arrived and there was no tractor available. Multiple calls to Emma proved to be quite frustrating, along with her promises to call me back with updates. Not one call from Emma all day, and at one point she said she was about to call another location after she said she was calling them earlier. When queried about why she was doing it now versus when she promised she would do it earlier, her response was that she was busy. It appears that Emma completely failed to secure a tractor for us when we made the reservation and her lack of attention to detail and customer service blew up in her face when it all cme down to producing the vehicle. This should be a textbook example in business management courses of how not to take care of your clients/customers. Perhaps Emma and the staff at this location can take part in some retraining that may help improve the quality of service and make for a better overall customer experience.

Awful place. This location & Carrollton.They lie about having trucks just to book reservations.The admin lady Ashley or whoever she is has a bad attitude and no manners. Upper management is blatantly discriminatory. I wouldn’t recommend. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Trash company, at least these locations are.

We had to have my husbands company truck worked on due to ECM problem and we were told we would have to exit the cab and going into drivers lounge and wait nor my husband and myself had any rest and were dog tired and upon entering the drivers lounge we noticed seating was backless old tractor themed seats which were very uncomfortable so we went up to customer service entrance and sat in more uncomfortable seating , the lady at the desk offered us coffee and water and was so pleasant she really went out of way to accommodate us . she even offered to find us a sleeper cab so we could could get rest while truck was being worked on due to insurance reasons we werent allowed to rest in our sleeper. Stacey your doing an outstanding job , i listened to her treat ever customer like a king .phone and in person . she really is in the right line of work . Thank you Stacey. You deserve a raise lady your terrific..

If I could give 0 stars I would. Have been trying to lease a unit for the past week. When I first went in I was greeted by Frank who gave me information that I would need to call for a credit check. I called the number on the flyer and guess who answered the phone? Frank! (Why could he have not gotten the information while I was standing in front of him?) OK so that was done then I was told that a finance manager would call. I have called back 3 times and told the same thing. Still awaiting a call from the finance manager. Yesterday I called and spoke with Frank yet again and was told that he would call me at 730, well it is 2:03 and still no call. I guess they do not need the business and enjoy paying there staff for sitting there twiddling their thumbs. And when you the company reply back to my review DO NOT tell me to please call to discuss. I have been calling!!

I dont lease the truck, I just drive it. I feel fortunate my company leases from Penske. This is the 4th time in 4 States I had to stop for a repair. Each and every time from the service desk to the technicians, they were fast, professional and had me back on the road in no time. Couldnt possibly be any happier! Thanks!

I have been to many Penske shops to have our tractor repaired. And this location has to be the WORST Penske shop! They dont communicate and fix things that are supposed to be repaired. I wish I could give them ZERO STARS!

Sucks, this people never do anything the right way, they tell you that the truck you need is ready but in not & when they work on some trucks they dont fix it the way it should be so youll end up taking it back the next day.

Confirmed a reservation on August 10th for a September 22nd pickup for a 26 box and a car carrier unit. Was told all trucks contain e-track cargo securement. I scheduled truck pickup one day early, and came on the 21st to pickup the truck. The only securement was wooden slats, no e-track. The truck also had mismatched rear tires, with the inner mounted tires being severely scalloped, and I also found a rivet punctured 3/4 into the tread of one tire. I waited for two hours for the shop to do an inspection, which ultimately ended up in a different tire being replaced due to low tread. The car carrier was not there, so I said I would pick it up on the 22nd. A small discount was offered to me in exchange for the inconveniences.When I arrived at Penske on the 22nd, approx 1530, the rental office was closed and the sign on the door says closed at 1200. Google maps shows closing to be 1700. The Penske website showed 1600. I went back to the shop and found one rental agent in a hurry to leave. when I told him I had come to pick up the car carrier, he said that there were not any there and that he did not know that I was renting one. he quickly told me that a nearby Home Depot had a car carrier unit and sent me there, and then rushed out to his car to leave. I arrived at that Home Depot, they had to car carrier units, both of which had the wires sliced for the trailer lighting , and those issues had already been reported to Penske.After spending another hour on the phone with someone at the corporate care center, we found another Home Depot location near the tollway that had a car carrier unit. At this point I was very frustrated, and the agent offered to waive the charge for the car carrier. I also ask them to waive the toll fee due to the fact that I was being routed to a location which was right off of a toll road. My vehicle toll tag picked up and charge me directly for the tolls, which I dont mind paying.When we finally got to the next Home Depot there was one car carrier there and it was in good shape and we ended up picking it up. An extra day was also added to my contract which I did not need, because I turned the truck in early on Monday the 24th.. I just received a reimbursable on the partial refund they offered for the initial problems, but nothing has come through for the waiver of the car carrier fee.The entire experience was very stressful, despite the fact that I had things planned way ahead of time , in an attempt to alleviate as much as I could. We ended up getting caught in the rain for the entirety of the trip due to the extensive delay we had before finally being able to leave town, as well as having to stop and spend money on a hotel for the night. attempted to come to some sort of resolution on these issues by being in contact with multiple people, but I always end up getting redirected to someone else.

Company rented me a truck for mine being down in the shop. They gave me a ran down 2013 freightliner cascadia with almost 600k miles on it, it was leaking oil, not cleaned, not washed and the mechanic that brought it around for me. I told him its dirty his exact words were take it or leave it. That is not customer service! Will never do business with the penske in Dallas on Goodnight Lane.

The guy name Dallas, he is the worst manager here.He doesn’t even take a look for stuff, make you wait 2-3 days, whenever i see the other guys, they would look at the problem and try to fix it right away or tell you what u need to do but Dallas guy, extremely rude, always sarcastic and give you attitude.Doesn’t even care about fixing anything, he looks like just here to make his hours and go home kinda guy.This type of guys makes the business miserable, always.
