The mechanic himself was very knowledgeable and good at his job. It was the business itself that lacked the integrity to be called a professional establishment . They had called me saying that my car was ready and then when I pulled up, my vehicle was locked inside the garage. They had given me that call 30 minutes before the place closed and even said if they were closed they would leave my car outside with the key under the tire. So everything being said screw Kwik Kar!!!!!!

This is my favorite place to go to for oil changes, inspections and any random issues I’m having with my car. They’re nice and really quick. Most importantly, they’re honest and have never tried to tell me additional things are wrong with my car like other places I’ve gone to before. Mixed experience. I was repeatedly ignored and treated rudely by staff members. However when it came time to pay, they suddenly decided to become very pleasant. I will acknowledge that they were very fast.

Prices are reasonable and service is fast. I only go for small things like windshield wipers, headlight changes (less than 5 minutes) and inspections (maybe 15 minutes). I had my oil changed once there and it wasnt full synthetic, which is what I asked for and what my car has to have. So now I only get my oil changed at the dealership. But other than that one time, always good experiences.

Very professional and prompt service every time. I have been a client for over 5 years now and I wouldnt change a thing. Never spent more than 20 min there, even on busy days.

Did not return vehicle in same condition after oil change. And didnt want to fix it. Not sure they checked fluids or other checkpoints during service.

Frank was awesome! I pulled up for a state inspection and he was able to get me right in! I was on my lunch break so I was in a hurry and I remembered I needed an oil change as well! The guys made it quick and I was in and out! Great experience!

I visited this location because it is locally owned. I visited on the morning of 3/16/20 to get a state inspection and have an oil leak assessed. The mechanic told me that it would be $45 to have the oil leak diagnosed. After inspecting the car, he told me it was actually a power steering fluid leak and that the pump and lines that would all need to be replaced, which would cost more than $750. After declining the repair, I was told that they could not pass the car on the state inspection. I took the car to a nearby Firestone for inspection and did not tell them about the leak. After completing the state inspection, they told me that I had a slow oil leak, which could be diagnosed with a dye test if I wanted. Both Firestone and another mechanic have identified the problem as a small oil leak, so I do not think this mechanics assessment was accurate.

I just moved to Texas and didn’t know which place is the best to look at my car. I called around and Juan answered the phone. He was super nice and answered all my questions. Juan was also very professional & did not rush me. Right when I got to the location he greeted me and helped me out of my car, I had a lot of things to get out from my car. Lorenzo was so great! I bought a new headlight from autozone and the attendant said he couldn’t install it for me. Lorenzo overheard and told me to follow him to his shop Kwik Kar down the street. He had one of his service guys install the light for me free of charge and it was done in less than a minute. They also added air to my tires which was something I had needed to get done as well! Definitely amazing service! Thank you!

Went in for a quote as I was passing by . Found a pretty good mechanic and seemed knowledgeable based on the conversation we had.Never took my vehicle in as the price was not too different from a quote I had received from a specialized mechanic shop.In my opinion, you are better off taking the vehicle to a specialized shop unless you want simple maintenance work done like oil changes or break pad replacements.

This is a great business. Top-notch professionals who think of the customer first. I had a misunderstanding with service prices over the phone and later realized, and they fixed. They did not have to do this, but they did. As long as I live in Dallas, this will be my place I take all of my cars.The service provided was top-notch, as well. I have used them a few times before and never have any worries with their work ethic and quality of service.

Monday, October 21, 2013This past Saturday was my second visit to this location. Each time they could have easily taken advantage of me, but did not, they helped me and guided me instead, and saved me money.I would give this place and its crew 5 stars without hesitation. They are professional, efficient and honest. I have been totally impressed by their honesty. I had to have my rotors and brakes replaced, they not only did excellent work, and they gave me every possible discount. On top of that, the job was to take 2 to 3 hours, they did it in 2, amazing work, so efficient.This is my go to place for sure, and I would highly recommend them to.

I came here to get an inspection, and turns out I needed new windshield wipers. I asked them how much it cost, and the guy told me 19.99 each. When I came to pay, apparently it was $27.00 each. Their explanation was that “it started off at 19.99 each depending on size” but I did not ask how much they started off at, I asked how much mine would cost. What was suppose to be 60 something turned out to be 80 something.. I don’t think it’s fair that they told me something and charged me higher. Really want a refund

GOOD service with a smile is very rare at mechanics. In addition to that, they seem very honest with what they do to your car. Its usually great service with a smile that you will get here, Im happy I came.

Theyre open on Sunday and are dog friendly. Its the most painless part of my life thanks to them. They even have a bowl of water on the floor for the pooches. The people that own/run this place know how to take care of customers! (Human and canine.)

I’ve been bringing my vehicle here for years; no more after today. The service man that handled my vehicle had an unprofessional and poor attitude. When I arrived I told him I needed a right turn signal replaced, oil change, and tire rotation. Once I told him, he gave me this disjointed look like it’s a burden to request the service. After changing the oil he calls me to the vehicle saying that he needed a special wrench to get the hub caps off for the tire rotation. I said, “it should be in the back of my Jeep,” he then, said abruptly, “we’ll I am not looking for it.” Again, disjointed poor attitude. Finally, as we were checking out, I asked, “were we able to get the right signal fix; no he didn’t, and he then replaced the turn signal and I left. I was just glad to leave because it made me feel like I was a burden to bring my vehicle to their shop. -Bryan

I called two days ago and asked if they did tire rotation, and they confirmed they did. When I arrived this morning and asked for an oil change and tire rotation I was told they couldnt do the rotation today. The place did not look at all busy. Jeep recommends rotating the tires at every oil change, so I left with no services performed, just wasted time. Guess when Ill go back.

I went here for the first time today for state inspection, since the last place I used was very unsatisfactory. They were friendly, polite, and FAST! I was in and out in 30 minutes. Awesome service. There was an employee who talked with an elderly woman in the waiting room, and he was very patient, explaining things to her. Ill be back!

Went for an oil change and they disassembled my glove compartment and part of the dashboard to remove the cabin air filter to show it to me and ask if I want to replace it. I strongly disapprove of this! Ask me if I want this checked before disassembling my car!

I just visited there for oil change because it was on my way.Usually another kwik lube ( at beltline ) changes the oil for 65$. But those guys asked me 75$. I told them another one is changing 65$ they told me to go there. Good custumer service, maybe they should first learn how to talk english instead of robbing people

Mechanics did the most expensive oil change possible without consulting me first and then when I asked to speak to the mechanic he claimed that my oil type was only made in synthetic which is inaccurate. I will never go back again.

Went to Kwik Lube today for an oil change and state inspection. Got there about 4:30 pm and was done by 5. Very personable and professional. Being new to the area I am trying to learn the places to go for routine services - these guys are now my go-to oil change specialists.

Beware! Unprofessional thieves work here!Maybe they think they can get away with this because they are located in Highland Park and people have more money to burn than the average Joe, but I dont like being stolen from.I came in for a full synthetic oil change after work on Thursday. I brought an 11.00 off coupon from The Fitzhugh location. The teenage girl working the front counter practically never said a word the entire time I was there. I asked her before the work started if they would accept the coupon. She didnt say anything but took the coupon and asked for my keys. The shop guys started the work about 15 minutes later. Finished the oil change and Rigo , The assistant manager recommended a coolant flush. I asked him why. He said you need to change it every 30000 miles. That is a lie. The 2012 Ford Focus requires engine coolant change at 100k miles due to the type of coolant. I didnt argue and said maybe next time. I went inside to pay and the girl up front told Rigo I have a coupon. He would not give me the 11.00 off.I told him that it is very unprofessional and blatantly stealing to not homor the coupon. I even told Rigo If I was told they wouldnt accept it ahead of time I would have went to the other location off Fitzhugh. He said no way. I have never seen such an unprofessional shop. I was a service manager for years and would have never fathomed such blatant unprofessional carelessness for customer service. Trying to sell a not needed coolant fluch, well that took it to another level. This place may be conveniently located but they are trash.

Stopped in for an emergency on the way to a job south of Dallas, Im north of Dallas and couldnt make it all the way with the steering acting the way it was. When I stopped here Oscar suggested I get the alignment done somewhere else because they dont do it themselves, because he could guess it would be a few different things that would be more expensive. Afraid to drive it much more, he said he would eye ball it when I asked to be sure it wasnt something that I could get around on. Top tier service, customer in mind. Immediately wrote this because I dont expect good service anywhere anymore.
