Knowing that I truly wanted more space she was intentional and creative with finding properties that gave me options of a den/study, loft and still saved me money. I was referred to ROU in hopes of making finding an apartment easier! Not only did Janet find me an apartment she found me an apartment that I loved! It has everything I was looking for in an apartment. Location, price & amenities! I’m excited to actually move.

Started my apartment search back at the beginning of March for a move in around the end of May/beginning of June. I know it’s a bit early to start but due to being pregnant with a due date in June I wanted to be as prepared as possible. Raymond Garrido and I were supposed to have a call at 12:30 on March 8th but he was running behind and said he would text me when he’s done to see if I was available. Never got a text. He tried to call me a few times on Tuesday apparently but for some reason my phone labeled the calls as an Unknown Caller. On March 15th I let him know that I found an apartment by myself and even though he didn’t help me whatsoever I would put him down as my locator as long as I could still get the concessions that were being offered when I originally contacted him. He checked with his manager and confirmed that I would still get the concessions even though it apparently stopped on the previous Tuesday. After reaching an agreement and being guaranteed the concessions we applied for our apartment and put his name on our application. We got approved and he became aware of the approval on March 17th. Initially I had given him a move-in date of June 3rd. I confirmed that move-in date for him in May 29th and asked him how we redeem the concessions. It was a Saturday and a holiday weekend so I didn’t expect a response till June 1st. He actually responded on Sunday and completely ignored my question, just asking if we had gotten our keys yet. Since our move-in date was scheduled for June 3rd I thought it would’ve been already known to an apartment locator that we would get the keys the day we were due to move in.....but I reminded him anyways. After we got our keys and had gotten somewhat settled in I texted on the day of our move-in and let him know that we had moved in. He read my text and didn’t reply. Didn’t hear from him Friday or over the weekend. Not really an excuse for not hearing back from him on Friday, but again didn’t expect to hear from him over the weekend even though previously he has texted me over the weekend. It’s now June 7th and I reached out at 9 am this morning to reiterate that I was still waiting on an answer to my question. When it came to getting me to put his name on our application he had no problem replying within seconds, but now that it’s come down to claiming the incentives we were promised it’s basically like we’re being ghosted. Extremely unimpressed with Raymond’s terrible customer service skills and feeling extremely taken advantage of since he essentially did no work. If Raymond’s behavior is an accurate representation of how ROU locators operates then I would steer clear of the company as a whole.

ROU locating seemed like it was too good to be true. I got in contact with a locator and toured a bunch of apartments. After touring I realized that I should probably wait a little longer before moving out so I would be comfortable. When I did move out I contacted my locator to let him know that I was planning on moving and I got no response. Even after that I listed this person as a reference to complete my end of the deal and still heard nothing. I am frustrated with the company and the locator. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

If you use Rou, you won’t be disappointed. Ashley is quick and very professional. We told her our preferences and she sent over a list of options within a week! We picked our favorites and she set up tours with each one for us the following weekend. We even moved faster than we planned because of the great deal Ashley was able to get us.Rou is also currently offering a rent back program that originally pulled us in. We’re also getting a premium move in gift for using them! Hands down, 10 out of 10 service. You won’t regret it.

I had never used an apartment locating service before, and was having an extremely tough time finding what I wanted. Genna reached out to me almost immediately after I put in a request to speak with someone and I am SO glad she did. My list of needs was long and very specific within a certain budget and boy did she deliver!! Im not too familiar with Dallas area, so I decided to use this service, and was I impressed! I gave all my picky apartment needs to Alexus Johnson and she provided a detailed list. Bryon contacted my apartments to see if there were any specials they may offer, I got to select from a lovely list of gifts that you can actually use & enjoy & the best part is the rent-back program they offer! Gabriel was awesome the first day we met I found a beautiful place and it was practically by accident! We went to one complex and they advertised the wrong price it was already late afternoon but he asked if I had a brief moment to go look at another place down the road. Mind you we are still mid-COVID so we didn’t have appointment scheduled but we still winged it. That place happen to have an unseen deal before on a first floor unit so it was grace! I wanted to try ROU because of the incentives they offered (welcome gift and rent back credit), but I kind of felt left out on my own with a list of properties to sort through.My agent did listen to my needs and provided me with a property report which included specials, but then it was up to me to calculate the effective rent for each floor plan to determine which floor plans fit within my budget. While this isn’t a huge deal, it was time consuming. It made things a little overwhelming as I had to do the majority of the search on my own. The agent did not do much following up afterwards.I ended up using a different locator that essentially did all the work for me. Again, I really wanted to like ROU to take advantage of the incentives, but it didn’t work out this time.Edit: ROU did reach out to me and expressed that since they are a new and growing company, they are doing their best to learn from experiences. I will say everyone I have spoken with at ROU is kind and very friendly. They were accommodating and sincere, and I do hope to use their service again in the future.
