I really wanted to give this place a good review, and my opinion may change when my car actually gets repairs. It has been over 3 months, and my car has still not been repaired. The only time I get any communication, is when I am the one to call, and all I seem to get are the same scripted excuses. If I knew the repairs were going to take this long, I might have tried to go somewhere else for service.

I needed my windshield and door trim replaced. They ordered the right pieces and switched them out. Now my truck looks like new! After a couple weeks of driving slow so my trim wouldnt fly off I can finally do the speed limit!!! Thank yall so much

I had been having issues for the last couple of weeks with one of my tires slowly losing pressure. With the weather changing back and forth, I thought it was just the normal cold/warm weather fluctuation. However, that one tire was always the first to set off my TPMS sensor.I took my Jeep to the dealership and they “inspected” the tire and could not find any nails or obvious signs of issues with the tire. They recommend having it inspected by an actual tire shop that could patch/plug any holes... BUT they don’t do that there at the dealership. They “are only allowed to sell new tires, not repair them”. A new tire for my Jeep costs about $300!So I stopped by Golden Rule Automotive, and they were more than accommodating. And what do you know... they found a nail in my tire! They fixed it at a reasonable price and I have had zero issues since.Thank you everyone at Golden Rule! I will use your services again.

Do not go to this place. My mom took her car here and they did all unnecessary repairs and charged her over 2,000 dollars and car still did not work. Read the bad reviews because it will save you some money and time. We will be putting in a complaint

When I initially took my truck up there they said they could fix it and they were going to call me back with what the issue was and how much it was going to be. Several days passed and I did not get any phone calls. I had to go up there personally three days in a row after that asking them for an update, they still dint know anything and kept telling me they would call me back each day I went. I told them the date when I needed it by and they said yeah it’ll be done no problem. So I go back two days before the date that I told them I needed my truck by & they STILL dint have any answers or anything whatsoever. So I ended up taking my truck back & wasting alot of valuable time for nothing.

I had my car towed here when it broke down in Buckhead late at night, mostly because of the good reviews I saw online. The next day the fun started. First, I had to pay $73 for a diagnostic (this is WITH a AAA discount), which was frustrating, but not unheard-of. I got a little suspicious when, 2 hours later, they told me that the engine was blown and I needed a new one. I mean, how predictable can you get? Instead of having them put in a new engine, I moved the car to my regular mechanic, who quickly determined what was ACTUALLY wrong with my car (big surprise: NOT the engine. The AC compressor pulley. NOT hard to find). Its now running fine. Dont get ripped off! Dont bring your car here!

Truck broke down on my way back to Texas from Fort Lee, VA during the week of Christmas 2019. They told me itd been done within a week, so bought a plane ticket home, then flew back up the next week when they said itd be finished. Still not done, didnt even have the parts. Then asked when it would be done and they promised within 5 days, so I flew back home, and then back again when they told me itd be done for 2nd time. Guess what?! Still not done... And each time, I was the one calling in for an update. They never once called to update me, it was always me calling in trying to figure what was happening. Finally 2 days after they had told me itd be done for the 2nd time, they finished. Did a terrible job, as the second I drove away, it started making noise. I had to report to my new unit by Friday, so I wasnt able to leave it there. Now have taken it in twice to a shop in Texas since then, as theres still issues with it.

I was having trouble with my Check Engine Light coming on. Got different answers as to what the trouble was. Took it to one shop who found the problem, but said they couldnt fix it, referred me to the dealer. As a AAA member I called Golden Rule, took it in. They ran a diagnostics test, found the problem and fixed it. And it was something so simple as a loose connection on a hose. Boom, fixed. My car is finally running like it should. I am a happy camper! The employees are friendly and helpful, and I even enjoyed talking to other customers while waiting. Will definitely be returning.

Golden Rule Automotive doesn’t follow the golden rules of business. I took my 2005 Tahoe to them because of a check engine light and a noise I was hearing in the engine compartment on a Tuesday morning . I advise the lady in the front that I needed the truck for the weekend and if they think it was impossible for them to get to it then I would go somewhere else. She took my vehicle and reassured me. I didn’t hear from them on Friday so I called. She told me she would give me a call back but she didn’t. I called again on Monday morning and she said they are still running test. Really, just say anything to get me off the phone. I didn’t get another call until the following Wednesday and she said it maybe EVAP canister and it would cost $450 to replace. As a professional mechanic shop I need you to know exactly what it is and what about my other issue. She said well you can just pick the truck back up and I did. Meanwhile, I had to rent a U Haul truck for the next weekend. RUN not WALK! This shop takes in too much but, cannot handle the load!

My recent repair was done fast and affordable. They diagnosed the problem a couple months ago, but I wasn’t able to afford the full repair. They offered me a temporary fix which got me by for the 7 weeks I needed to save up for the repair. They are very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

Very nice, were very thorough. I had a fuse problem,and before releasing the car they made sure to show me where the fuse box was and which fuse had blown, so I could replace it if the fuse blew again. Plus they gave me a spare fuse just in case, so if it did blow, I could drive it back to the shop. Cant beat that kind of service and professionalism. They also give 10% off to AAA. Would highly recommend.

I have never been so impressed by a car repair place. The quality of service is incredible, prices are resonable, and they give a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on repairs!My wife loves to take her BMW there as well. Saves hundreds of $ over the dealer!

My niece and I were driving home from Conyers back to Greensboro last Saturday afternoon when we noticed her rear passenger side window was open. We were unable to get it to close and so we stopped at Golden Rule. The technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. They were able to diagnosis the problem and repair it to the point where we were able to drive home (a part had to be ordered to fully repair the window).They were fair and honest in the cost involved and even had someone take us to a restaurant so we could have lunch while they fixed the vehicle.Certainly, above and beyond.

Rip off and thieves. They took parts off my car that were missing after leaving it to them to fix for over 3 weeks!!! The full tank of gas was left on empty, they removed a seltbelt and casing to the front dash for no reason. Then they charged me for a jack that was Rusty and used with a junkyard tag on it as if it were a brand new top brand jack. They didnt fix the check engine light (the reason I had it up there) but messed up a lot of things that were fine on the car. To say they were a rip off is too kind. They literally stripped my car while it was in their possession. Theyre lucky I didnt sue them.

This is the third vehicle I had work on done by this shop. If I get a hundred more vehicles, thats how many more of my vehicles these guys would work on. Did an excellent job on my 93 Geo metro and my 650 horse 93 mustang. It had been 6 years since they last worked on a vehicle of mine and even after all that time, they were th FIRST ones i came to. These guys deserve ten stars. If you live on the east side of town, you wrong if you aint coming here. Elaine, Greg, especially Billy...all beyond 1000% professional. And their prices are second to NONE!!! I am a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER

I was told that the shop would order and install a brand new alternator for me Oct.2017. May 2018 the new alternator failed. They replaced free of charge, but took almost 2 weeks to get to the car! So here it is Nov 2018 and the alternator has once again failed. I will get the alternator replaced somewhere else. But this company needs to stop ordering USED parts at new part prices. Thats fraud.

I had my car repaired there for running hot and so far after a full day of being on the road, it has not ran hot. I am grateful for that problem to be gone! I did not like being stranded alone side of the road.

I was in Covington from out of town (i live 200 miles away) when I had an issue with my brakes. I was annoyed, frustrated, and scared of what it would cost me but thanks to Golden Rule I was able to get in and out of the shop that same day without the repairs costing me an arm and a leg! Do not go there! They are a fraud operation. They do not diagnose the real problem with you vehicle only tell you what they think is wrong. Then they over charge you using used parts. In a all honesty they need to be closed down!

My car broke down about 7 hours into a 12-hr drive in Covington, Ga., and AAA brought my car to Golden Rule (this was late at night, so I had to go to a hotel and wait for the next morning for them to start work on it. By 9am, the garage staff had learned that my engine needed to be completely replaced (totaling the car), and I was stuck 5 hours away from my home. Paul and the rest of the crew were incredibly generous to me while I was figuring out how to get my car and myself back to my hometown the cheapest way available. Paul gave me his opinion and his sympathies, and didnt charge for the crew looking over my car and putting multiple quarts of oil in it to see if that was where the problem was. I am in total gratitude to Golden Rule Automotive for their hospitality and generosity
