I cannot recommend Smith Muffler highly enough. I have an older car that has required some maintenance over the past few months and theyve always worked with me to find the best quality solution for the best price. Louie, specifically, has been super helpful. Im selling the older car now and just started leasing a new car and Im (almost) sad I wont have a reason to bring my car in anymore (knock on wood). Plus the chandeliers in the warehouse are surprisingly chic. 10/10 recommend!!!

Had them quote a custom exhaust for a vintage car. It was one of the simplest custom exhaust jobs, and they were planning on reusing most of the old parts, including a few hangers and the tailpipes. It would’ve been $800 and it would’ve taken a week for just 4 feet worth of pipes and hangers, I even brought in my own mufflers. long story short, If you’ve got a nice custom or classic car you’d be better off finding a more passionate shop, rather than a place of slimey businessmen. I’m glad I walked away.

Id give a lower rating if possible. They were diagnosing a flashing check engine light. Truck ran okay, but wasnt quiet right. They did theyre minimal diagnosing of finding the random misfire code and not knowing where to actually diagnose the problem just gave me the useless advice of new coils and plugs. I will recognize that its a good place to start. but after I had replaced those truck wasnt any better. I return thinking after I paid a 100 dollar diagnostic fee that theyd be able to check out what other issue may be wrong with it. Guy at the front desk tells me to pretty much stick it. I later come to find out after testing that the geniuses didnt even bother checking the fuel pressure. I tested it (which was easy considering it is an older vehicle.) turned out I had half of the fuel pressure I was supposed to have. replace the fuel pump myself. If youve read this far then you might have been screwed by these guys too. The guys have no problem fixing the cars when they know what the problem is. So, if the problem you have with your car isnt plainly obvious then take your car somewhere else, because these guys arent any better at diagnosing than you and me.

DO NOT TRUST ANY WAIT TIMES THHEY GIVE YOU!!! I called 3 days before i brought my car in to make an appointment. they said not necessary to make an appointment and to bring the car in Friday at Noon 12:00. I Get there and I have to wait. No big deal. Waited almost 3 hours just for a simple O2 sensor bung to be welded in. They shouldnt say no appointment needed and keep me waiting almost 3 hours. So beware its a guarantee long wait even with a appointment. Lost 3 hours of my day and never got the work I needed done.

It was a great experience. It was my first time getting service here on my brand new car and it was everything I expected and more. Lewie got me in same day and had my parts same day as promised and Tim got it done under the time I was told. I was told maybe 2 or 2.5 hours and it was under an hour. Yesterday, going from Tenn to Michigan my 1500 Ram EcoDiesel electrically died and I was towed here not knowing what kind of shop it was. An EcoDiesel alternator could not be found in the whole area and knowing my situation did everything they could to get me going. My service guy, Rick Buechel got it rebuilt this morning and got me back on the road right after lunch. They even let me stay in my camper overnight that was towed here too. I sat watching them for hours. They were all very professional and helpful and never a negative word. I also had a smart professional lady tell me when I 1st came in, she’s been coming here for 20 years and “never had a problem. Don’t worry they’ll take good care of you” Generally I do my own repairs, so they showed me to my satisfaction exactly what was done. Also spoke with the owner and thanked him in person. Excellent service and a great group of guys!

Needed a repair/replacement for the exhaust pipe just past the exhaust manifold on a 2005 Toyota Highlander. Dealership wanted to replace from that point all the way back to the exhaust pipe, including the catalytic converter. Would have cost over a grand. The repair was under $200. Much better deal for a 16 year old car.

I had the exhaust system checked at Smith for my 05 RAV4 thinking the whole system would need to be replaced, since the engine pipe to muffler had a break. Waste of 3 hrs to try and get my exhaust finished drove a hour out of my way in the impression that it “ was no problem “ from calling in on the phone had to waited 2 hrs for them to pull my car in and tell me that it would take to long and they didn’t want to do it . They already had signs begging to leave a good review before your car is finished to get 5 dollars off your bill so save some time and go somewhere else

I took my Ford in because my check engine light was on; they changed me $99 and some change for a diagnostic that they claimed would be better than autozone test that I had. They told me the problem was the purge valve, so I told them to fix it. Well long story short... my check engine light is still on and the same codes are showing from autozone after they changed me $297 to not fix the problem which I was over changed for and I was also over changed for my muffler that they fix but at least they did fix the muffler. At this point I will not be getting anymore work done by them. $180 for a part that only cost $42 at autozone and $118 at max anywhere!

The gentleman I dealt with was exceptionally nice and helpful. I believe his name was Todd?I recommend taking your vehicle to Smith Muffler because they do very good work at a fair price! They are three times better than Firestone will ever be.

The most friendly and kind people work here! I don’t know much about cars which I explained to Lewie at the front desk. He and the mechanic(unsure of his name) made sure that I understood what needed to be changed on my car and why. I’ve been here several times and both times they went above and beyond each time. I’ll absolutely be back!Side note: I brought my giant dog with me and he loved both of them!

After being charged 750 from another local mechamic to play a guessing game at my expense... I am now taking my car to Smith Muffler n brake in the morning. Im hoping its just the brake hoses (wheels are locking up) because ive replaced callipers and rotors and pads and still having same issue. So right now all I can say is the attendant over the phone says I wont be charged for brake diagnosis which is a huge blessing! He took his time and listened to me ramble hysterically and was very professional and actually listened to what I was saying. So im excited to see me back on the road again after a year that my other mechanic had my car. We will see though.... To be continued.

I had a strange rattling under my car and kept meaning to make an appointment somewhere but couldnt find something to fit my schedule. Smith doesnt do appointments but rather a first come first serve model. It works because they have lots of bays and tons of people working. Took only 30 minutes and only $50 to fix the loose panel! I no longer have the embarrassing rattle and dont have to worry about something getting worse! I have a fairly new Honda Fit and they had cars from lots of different ages, makes,, models. They are super nice and not judgemental. Highly recommend!

I will never do business with them again! I asked for them to install a flowmaster 40 series muffler and they sold me a knock off autozone muffler that cost $35 but charged me flowmaster price! The muffler paint started burning and smoking on my way home that smelled really bad and will fill the inside of vehicle when I was stopped at a red light. The mechanic that installed muffler did not make good welds and now has exhaust leaks and now the muffler hits the driveshaft when I go over bumps in the road. Took the vehicle back and basically got the run around with excuses. This is susposed to be a reputable and professional shop and if I knew that this is how they treat their customers, I would have saved over $200 and did the job myself. I will never go back or refer anyone to them! They are shady at best! Customers beware dont fall victim to smith muffler like I did!

I called them on very short notice to get my exhaust worked on because it had a leak and my hangers were breaking and they even did the tips to make it look nice and they did the tire rotation I didnt even need an appointment they were very nice and professional to me I will be a returning customer.

My Dad died and I got his 2003 Ford Ranger. This truck has been really good for me! I was driving it the other day and I heard a popping sound and the brakes hit the floor. Smith Muffler fixed the problems the next day! Their customer service is outstanding!!

Smith Muffler is a very honest and reliable place to come for car care. It’s a first come first serve operation and with 33 bins you can imagine the wait time, with 1 mechanic working on your car the entire time giving your vehicle the attention it deserves. I won’t go anywhere else, as a woman I highly recommended this establishment.

I have been a couple of times and will definitely be back again. I had them replace all my breaks and rotors. It was $300 less than all the other places I checked. Everyone has been professional and efficient. They also were able to do extended warranty work. I recommend them to anyone who asks for a good shop to have work done. Update. I went back so to have a passenger side window motor replaced. They did the work for about what I would expect. Except... They also added an $89 diagnosis fee. I feel like this is an unreasonable fee to add for an obvious problem with the car. I did just drop it off with a note saying fix the window and my wife was who talked with them on the phone about what needed to be done. So I didnt argue with the fee. However I will not be having them do more work without actually talking about what it will cost and why.

These people are professional and on top! Recent snowstorm had my car trapped on 2 occasions trying to park. Car started to sound like maybe tie rod or ball joint or a bearing going out. They took a look at it, turns out the snow or something had loosened my tire, they cranked the lugs tight and sent me on my way, pro bono. Will be coming to them when serious repairs are needed from now on!

I priced many other muffler shops. Most quoted me twice as much than smith muffler. These guys know their stuff and are very professional about it. If you want the job done right and dont want to drain your wallet doing it. Then this is the right place.

Pretty fast service, very good prices. Staff were reasonable friendly, though a little gruff. Doesnt seem like they try to upsell you. Had to make a trip back because the initial repair wasnt completely finished, but they took care of it quickly.

After calling around town to get answers to my questions regarding my check engine light coming on recently, on my VW Eos....several calls later of getting no answers, Darren, at Smith Muffler, took the time from his busy day to discuss various symptoms my car was experiencing and made me feel at ease about that being the place to have my car towed to.I will post after the repairs are made and keep you updated of the process, but, I am confident that I will have continued outstanding customer service.

I ended up with a flat tire entering the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge and quite literally rolled into their parking lot. It was pouring down rain and close to work so I decided to leave my car there overnight since it was late instead of trying to figure out how to get my spare tire on in the rain. My tires were under warranty at a large retailer so I had to get it to them to get my tire replaced. The folks at Smith Muffler helped me get my spare on the next day at no charge, knowing that I would not be getting my tire replaced with them. Big shout out to these folks for helping a girl out in need (and quickly)! Their customer service was outstanding.

Probably the best auto shop in the area. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are always good. I take my car here anytime theres an issue or even just for a simple oil change.

This is the place to go when You are having car troubles. They work with you, patient with you when you are trying to explain what is going on with your car. The guys at this shop definitely know what they are doing. Early morning is best time to go whe. You are trying to get in and out.

My tailpipe unfortunately broke right in half and was dangling under my truck a few days ago, so I took it into Smith and they had it finished and ready to go in an hour! Unreal turnaround time - really fantastic place. Customer service was quick, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Found out they do any kind of other work too, just not body work.

I tried to speak to them on behalf of my father as he doesnt know much about vehicle repairs. The work was questionable at best. Upon a rqueat for a conversation on said service I was told why I was upset and this led to a seriously poor customer service experience as well. Perhaps they should focus more on talking to people with respect and less on their chandeliers.
