This Fox location stands out due to its associates and one in particule above all is Issy, I hope I spelled his name right. He takes extra care to insure that you are having a great experience. He fills out the vehicle condition form as if he is the one actually renting the car, documenting the imperfections and damage that was present before I took possession of the vehicle. And upon returning the car, Issy always asks how was the car, and if there where any issues. He is customer service oriented first and foremost and it shows in his every action, thank you Issy!!!

This place deserves 0 stars. I waited an hour to be picked up at the airport. I tried calling and couldn’t get through. There’s no direct number. I was almost denied renting because the rep misread the message on the screen that I was on black list when I have never rented with Fox and was so rude. I rented and paid for a full size SUV online, the only one offered was one that had dents and scratches everywhere as if got into an accident. The rep and car checkout person were extremely rude when I said I’d prefer a different car. The rep then said they only have that car. I didn’t have to take it and they won’t refund. Then a small SUV arrived and they said I could down grade and take the small SUV for the same cost although I paid for a full SUV. Because of the long wait and the inconvenience, I agreed. The small SUV smelled horrible, cigarettes and other horrible smells you could think of. Again the rep said I only had 2 options, the dented one or the cigarette smelling one. Take it or leave it and lose the amount I already paid. When I saw another small SUV in the parking lot, I asked about it and the rep said he guess I could take that. This car was also in bad conditions but was better than the 2 before. Overall the process was frustrating, took 3+ hours, I didn’t get the full size car I paid for, had to downgrade, had to deal so rude reps and frustration. I was also informed that because it’s a private company, they get to keep all the older cars and their cars can be older than 2017. I’ll never rent or recommend Fox to anyone. Please plan a second option if you decide to rent with them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not on site as they state. They are not at the airport. You have to take a hot and stinky ride on a shuttle, that by the way we had to wait 20 + minutes for. I had a lot of bags and the driver didn’t get out of his seat once to help. After waiting 30 + minutes for a car (even though it was reserved for 2 hours earlier)The car they gave me was not the size I requested and it did not have ac. When I told “ginger” she told me you have to press auto, pressed it and walked away incredibly rude. So then colin finally took over and was great and so kind but it still took another 20 minutes for the trade. Save your self time, money and a whole lot of hassle. Stick with the reputable companies that actually have nice cars and better staff.

Pros: Friendly staff. Nice car with no issues. And cost, obviously!Cons: Wait time to be picked up from the airport. And offsite location.I was nervous after reading several terrible reviews.. we definitely had to wait at the airport to be picked up like others have said. The shuttle driver was nice and helped us with all our bags. There were a lot of us on the shuttle once it got there, so we were all dropped off at once, making another wait to get the car. Reza was super kind and even upgraded our car for free (maybe he felt bad for our crazy kids running around haha)! Our car was great and was clean! The nice man who did the walk through with us was friendly and even gave a food suggestion nearby where we were staying. We didn’t have any issues with the car at all! Dropping it off was super easy and we didn’t need to wait long for the shuttle on the way to the airport. The shuttle driver was super nice and helped us with our luggage as well!

Please be aware that this company is fraudulent. I rented a car for 2 days drove only 20 miles, returned full tank. They charged me $142.95 for fuel. I saw it on my bill when i get home and went back to the place. They said sorry, new girl made a mistake they refunded my money. I never got my refund. Luckily i got a receipt and i took pictures before and after and disputed the fraudulent charges today. Please pay more and go to well known companies. This company is doing shady business.

The absolute worst place to ever rent from. Stay away!!! You can most definitely find a cheaper and nicer car from literally any other car rental out there. They are not at all transparent with their prices and charged me 3 times as much as the initial booking price. Almost charged me even more until I found my initial quote and paid for insurance. Did not explain any of the extra charges. I never write negative reviews but this company absolutely should not be allowed to even be open like this. THEN I left something in the trunk and when I called to ask about, no response. I showed up in person and suddenly the items were missing? Absolutely ridiculous. For the price and hassle you end up dealing with, go rent from the most high end car rental available. Avoid this place at all costs.

I went with fox because no where online did it say anything about a fee for drivers under 25. That’s the only reason I went with fox, it said online that they rent to under 25, NOTHING about a fee. We’re expecting to pay $400-500 for the rental car but ended up paying almost $700. On top of that, the front desk guy “accidentally” added road side service to our car & with the deposit it was almost $900 being charged on my card. The whole process was just messy & he didn’t seem like he even knew what he was doing, the price changed multiple times. Seemed pretty scammy to me. He then said we would be “upgraded at no charge”, our upgrade was definitely NOT an upgrade. It smelled like cigarettes. We literally had to floor the pedal to get on the freeway, the whole car was just super outdated. Definitely not worth almost $700 for 6 days. I totally wish I would’ve went with another company. The shuttle bus driver that picked us up from the airport was super nice & genuine, but the one that drove us back to the airport was totally mute. To top it all off, we accidentally left our $400 bose headphones on the shuttle bus, which was totally our fault, but we’ve tried calling fox the past 2 weeks & have gotten the lost & found voicemail every time with no response back. Do not recommend.

Had a great experience both picking up and dropping it off a SUV. Their cars are a bit older than other places, but theyre just as good, cleaned and comfortable. It is a bit far from the airport, so if youre using shuttle service make sure you have time.

This place is absolute trash -1- not located inside the airport2- one hour pick up3- only one representative at the counter which made it another hour to get a car4- you got outside to get your vehicle and you have to wait in the sun while the sloths they have working there clean and prep your car, another 30 mins ..save your time .. pay a lil more , save your frustration we wasted many hours of our day in this ridiculous place ! Never again ! Turo will have my business from now on

*MELISA* IS THE SAVIOR FOR THIS COMPANY..When we arrived we checked the review we got scared its really low. But when we went ahead and talked to the clerk (Miliesa) she told us the truth about this nasty reviews.. the company WAS that bad but recently its under new mangment which will fix everything to recover this company ..What Melissa did was so nice she upgrade the car for free .. she took care for some policy extra charges as well. She was so nice and she handels our worries in very professional way. The car was clean .. very modern .. we had zero issues..DIFFENTLY COMING BACK SOON ..

The Employees are great. But The policies are poor. They do not have enough cars upon rental .they pull a dirty car up and you have to wait an extra half hour to take. The whole experience took 1 1/2 hours to rent and leave. Not good

Very bad resource for renting a car. Customer Service was very bad. All phone numbers busy always. Only way you speak to anyone is through chat. I never received car rental and money was never restored. I reported this business to the Better Business Bureau. Do not give them any credit card information up front. No refund policy period.

Don’t rent from here! Rude and very slow! Their employees act as if they hate their job. Car was not cleaned even though I had to wait a hour. High deposit even though you have a flight. It is also not in or near the airport. It’s a 10 minute shuttle trip and the drivers are fast so hold on to you’re seats. Cheap rental prices, but heavy deposits $400-$500 it is worth it to go with a popular company.

Renting a car is already stressful. The staff here has been so rude when I was trying to rent a car for a week.$247 plus car Insurance another $60plus $500 deposit.Then refused to let me swipe my card. I feel this was definitely a discrimination issue and its unfortunate that people still treat there customers in this manner. I will never come back.On top of that. I am still waiting for them to give me my money back.

Trent was a great help especially with this being our first time using Fox rental.Make sure you get the card that you requested thats why Trent had to step in and help because they gave me a smaller car than what I was paying for.The car was dirty the for from the previous car rental. Is Gucci stuff on the dashboard. So unless you go through the car piece by piece you wouldnt have seen the the stuff cuz it was tucked in the little compartments in pockets.

Overall not a great experience. Both times I walked into the building, the employee was not wearing their mask and it seemed like they were upset that I was interrupting their day or something. The car smelled very unpleasant, definitely like cigarettes and was so strong that it stuck on my clothes. The car also had quite a bit of damage, so I made sure to take pictures of the car before taking it. Only reason I’m giving two stars is because the shuttle was quick and efficient. Don’t think I would ever rent from them again.

I do not know what I was thinking when I got this rental car company. The lady there was rude, she don’t care at all, I went for vacations 3 weeks ago and she denied me the access to the store just because I didn’t get a face mask (no even 1 other customers there) and I’m not arguing the face mask use, but they do not have them for customers either, if I didn’t find a mask I lose the reservation (and money of course) that’s ridiculous!

Just no, dont do it. . . One of those things that looks good on paper, nice low daily rate estimated charge is far from actual, wait times are stupid long even for Rona wait times, and if youre using a debit card there is a $400 FOUR HUNDRED dollar deposit so the estimated charge of $229.02 I was given when I made my reservation which was why I made my reservation turned into a $731.13 yes thats SEVEN HUNDRED when I got to the rental place. My flight arrived into LAX 1030 p.m after waiting 30 minutes for a shuttle that was jammed packed full of people and waiting in line for another 30 min I get a car. When I went out in the morning to get in the car the car Fob wouldnt unlock the car (dead battery) thankfully the Fob had a key so I could get into and start the car. Called Fox was told I could get a battery for the Fob I said no I wanted to exchange the vehicle so I went to SNA location and it took an hour and a half to get a replacement vehicle. I will NEVER AGAIN use this company ***additional disgust *** got the replacement vehicle less than 9 hours ago and guess what. . . yup the replacement vehicle fob is having the exact same issue as the first one. Will the problems ever end with this experience??? I would say screw it and return the vehicle early but you get penalized for doing that. ****Even more disgust and a tiny bit of good**** when exchanging the vehicles at the John Wayne Airport location I accidentally dropped mymake up bag on the backseat floor (which held a significant amount of bread new makeup and makeup tools in it) once I realised this I tried contacting the location for several days leaving messages but of course never heard back from them finally just gave up didnt have the energy to continue since it was getting nowhere. However on returning the vehicle to the Los Angeles airport location the lady who checked us in was amazing and friendly and knowledgable so kudos to the Los Angeles airport location.

Honestly, I rent with fox a lot, usually no issues, especially at the main airport hubs (DIA, Az, etc) but I’d stay away from smaller foxes. I lost a whole day due to having a dead battery and having to be the person to fix it. This stuff happens, but a dead battery? Feels like a rental agency should check that. It died right outside my business meeting and was useless the whole day. Made the meeting very awkward when we went for lunch and I couldn’t start my vehicle. The vehicle I was given had over 66,000 miles, usually fine also, but again, $60/day for a high miles dead battery vehicle? Pickup was confusing and delayed at airport and I travel a lot, usually have no issues. Was Told shuttle runs every 10 mins to airport and I waited over 30, hopefully not going to have any issues with my flight leaving. I guess you get what you pay for. Discount, means discount I suppose. So far no offer of any rental credit or refund due to day lost day and overall experience, if customer service comes through then I’d bump it a star or two just because things do happen. Overall just be safe and spend the little extra for this location. Maybe try fox at a bigger one or roll the dice if you feel lucky to save a few $$ 🤷‍♂️

Very disappointed.... ended up leaving without a car... they wouldnt honor the prepaid.. some technically. So we left. Had other options... getting our money back somehow. Not paying twice either way! Should have known when there was another person yelling about the price not being what she had online. Dont even try here ... we wont. Better negotiating at a major. Not a great experience. First, when we checked in they didn’t have the SUV we had selected and paid for, so I was stuck with their only non-sedan option which was an older minivan. I was told the SUV we had paid for still had to go through their strict cleaning process before we could get it, which would take some time (which we didnt have). So we took the van, and while on our way we opened up the glovebox to discover a half-eaten reuben sandwich left inside by a previous renter. Good thing we found it before it continued to bake in the sun all day. As much as I enjoy free food, Im going to have to pass on Fox for all future car rentals.The only thing saving this place from 1 star was the shuttle back to the airport. We were able to hop on and head right out, and the driver was great.

Go here when you want to wait between mask less travelers, who do not care about social distancing, for one hour or more. Workers are extremely slow and their process is very inefficient compared to the competition. Only half of the service counters are staffed. Expect to waste your time here, and maybe catch COVID-19 by doing so.[Update:]I am impressed that the generic response to my review was posted at the same day of my review, probably even before we drove the rental car off the lot. Unfortunately, they do not have a similar quick and automated approach in doing the rental business itself.At this point, I want to add to it, that the rental car was badly scratched up. The front window was littered with bug splatters, even though we had to wait over 30 minutes for them to finish cleaning the car, after we already waited more than an hour at the counter. It took us almost two hours from getting in line till driving off the lot. Really bad experience!

Got a very good price on a 3 day rental for a midsized SUV. apologies for not having his name, but a very nice man set up the rental for me, helped pick out a car I was happy with, and explained they had a good price on gas, and recommended I return the car without filling the tank. Appreciated him looking out for my best interest.Don’t expect like higher priced agencies that you will get a super recent model w/ apple car play/ screen etc, but just the next step below. I ended up with a 2018 Mitsubishi SUV w/ bluetooth, so I was happy I could connect music from my phone. Car was clean and in good running shape. Took the car to AZ from CA and it was very reliable. Would rent from them again!

Had a rental from them from 5-12 to 5-19 the worse experience ever was given a bad key fob that was defect had to pay out of pocket for a new one at hyundai also the car battery wire pop loose ended up paying a 1000 total for my rental experience roadside was no help and also trying to contact the local office was waiting for paint to dry i’ve been trying the past month to get a follow up but still no contact every-time I’ve tried to get to someone on the line if i’d known this would happen I would of payed a bit extra just to go to enterprise or one of the airports rental agency didn’t even get my full security deposit back plus I wasn’t able to used the car for 2 days this place is bad just avoid it usually visit the oc area daily in the year but im never going back to them for a rental

Whatever you do dont do it! Youll have to wait in a 2-hour line, to then get to the front desk, be integrated, told that there is not an available car that you reserved, but you can pay extra for a fancier one, to then have to stick to your guns and demand that you dont have to pay extra, to then finally get the paperwork for your car, and then step outside in the blazing sun, and wait an additional 35 minutes for your car to be washed. I will never do business with them again.Im now responding 4 days after having the car - when I had to wait a half hour for my car to be washed, it was also heavily sprayed with air freshener. At the time I thought it was odd but a few hours later after driving away I became aware why.... The car is from Nevada and REEKS TO HIGH HEAVEN of cigarette smoke. I have now been driving every day with all four windows down. I dont understand why you would have a policy that says no smoking in a car and then rent a car to your customers that reeks of cigarette smoke. I never thought this rental agreement could get worse after driving away and it did. Never again. And Im in town to work (12 he days) with no chance of returning it.

When I arrived at the counter there was one other person being serviced by Missy-Melissa. I waited 25 minutes. There were many cars in the lot but I waited another 30 minutes for them to clean a returning car. The gas was 1/4 full. The air conditioner was on. The next day I understood why it was running. The smell was a horrible smoker musty smell. I had to bring a hospital grade cleaner with disinfectant to clean the car. I covered and soaked all the seats overnight with disinfectant and cleaned the interior of the entire car. I left the window open overnight and the smell was gone the next day. During a pandemic I expect a returning car to be disinfected and gas to be full. I dont know if it was racially motivated or this is the normal practice at fox car rental. I rented the SUV for work 5/9-5/30.

Long wait time even if you book ahead. Extreme extra fees like only allowing local drivers the first 100 miles free. Additionally, they will charge if you bring the car back EARLY. All the staff seemed upset and unhappy to be working. Would not recommend to a friend. Pay a bit for great experience elsewhere.

Rented an suv, dodge journey or similar and arrive at facility to be told we have an old van for you. If you want a 4 runner or jeep like you reserved it will cost more. Place is a joke. Credit card deposits indefinitely held. Closed out a transaction on the 26th of March. 18 days later $500 credit card hold (not debit card) still in place. Customer service says its a billing problem. Ive been on hold for two hours with billing...Still more than 10 people in front of me in the que. I reserved a rental for an employee for a business trip. Be aware that If your flight is after 10am, your rental will be released to someone else. Our employee nor I received a phone call from Fox Rent A Car. Our employee said that everyone in line with her had lost their rental. Although, they were able to rent a car for $300 (instead of $100-) due to only have larger vehicles. In addition, they placed a $600 hold on her credit card to cover possible toll fees. Unbelievable. I will never reserve a car for any of our employees with this company again.

It would be nice if they new what they were doing. I set up and paid for my reservation, spent $30 to uber there just so they could tell me they cant rent a car to me because my commercial license is expired. I am from Texas and the DMV isnt even accepting appointments to renew commercial drivers licenses. I flew here using it. I have rented cars several times after my license has expired from the same company using it.get a clue!! Maybe you will get a real job some day!!

I have booked a Jeep compass and I end up getting a Kia Sportage with a strong odder/Smell of Marijuana and cigarette.When I complained they said that is what we have and they just sprayed in it, which the bad smell was back within 30 min . At the time of return I asked to get some compensation as I got a headache every day and they said they will let the manager knows and so far nothing. I called and I was on the phone for an hour to complain and nobody responded!

Twice I have been here & was not able to rent a car because they require a $400 credit card deposit. For snow reason I thought it was because of how many days I made the reservation for & so the second time I made it for only one day thinking the deposit would be lower but it did not change. Normally, I would be upset because it doesnt state that clearly on third party apps like priceline for instance But the lady behind the counter, I cant remember her name, she has short hair, she was super nice & actually helpful. She gave me the card to another place down the street that only requires a $150 deposit with a two day min rental and she even called them & had them pick me up. I hope she doesnt get in trouble for this. But I thought that was pretty awesome of her to do that.

Low rates but u get what u pay for. The Ford fusion i almost got tires were bald so i had to refuse to drive. I finally got a Mitsubishi highlander sport with a dinged in rear hatch. The real problem is i left my garage door opener in vehicle called the lost and found 5 times still havent gotten a return call. Called the customer service department i was on hold for 2 hrs and still havent got thru. I learned my lesson dont use fox car rental!!!!!

Rented a car from Fox Rental car in California, and let’s just say the process was a nightmare. Took 1.5 hours from standing in a line, and processing me a vehicle. I received a dodge caravan that was FILTHY! So much for sanitizing a vehicle during Covid. This car was covered in dust in the vents. Dash board beyond gross, and smelled moldy and smoky. Wish I could have received a refund, but at this point, I can’t wait to drop their vehicle off, and get out of this germy vehicle. The van rattled as we drove it back to Vegas. I will NEVER rent from FOX again. I rather pay more, and know I’m in a clean and safe vehicle. Shame on you Fox rental car.

I thought Fox did a great job. Nice clean car, the staff took care of me, and the shuttle was great. Itd be a good idea to call ahead and find out when the shuttle runs because they only seem to have 1 or 2 running at a time. I had questions about damage to the rental which were answered immediately and I didnt have any problems with the previous damage at check in. No hidden fees that I wasnt expecting (gotta pay the stupid tax man, unfortunately).

We fell for the temptation with the price but upon arrival we waited 90 minutes to get to the counter and another 20 minutes processing; We prepaid so it should not have taken that long. They didn’t have the car we reserved and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the car. This place was a nightmare. I rent cars every week. And alot at SNA. I prepaid. They took a 500 dollar deposit days ahead amd did not have a car ready. When I did get a car it was dirty. Very disappointed. Would not recommend despite the cheaper price

When I walked in the lobby, there were several customers having difficulties. I felt that the staff at Fox was behaving as professionally as possible. The customer issues involved trying to rent a car using a debit card instead of a credit card, which I understand is generally not accepted. Another customer was having trouble with their credit limit on their credit card, which is again not the fault of Fox. My experience was good. The check-in process was smooth. I was able to get a Ford fusion at a very reasonable price. The car was pretty new, less than 20,000 miles. It was in great condition. I know some other reviewers mentioned smoky smelling cars, but my car was fine. There was one issue with the cruise control, but after doing some research, it seems like thats more of a Ford issue than a Fox issue. Overall, I feel like I had good service had a great price! My daughter rented a car from Fox at LAX. Not good, dirty and smelled bad. However my wife and I have had good experiences with FOX at Orange County. So we went there. They gave us a replacement, clean and did not smell. The crew there obviousally likes their jobs and likes helping their customers. You do have to make sure and have the car back pretty much on time but that is a corporate rule. We like Fox in O/C

I had reserved a SUV with a advertised price. I came to pick up, but Fox didnt have it. They offered the upgade to 4Runner or Jeep Wranger with the extremely high price. I refused to rent car from Fox.From my previous expriences, Fox has older and high mileage vehicles comparing to other rental companies. This is the second time, Fox failed to provide my reserved vehicles.Please be aware Fox might not have the reserved vehicles and double check the total cost of agreements before picking up. The may add other taxes which were mentioned in the itineraries.I would rent cars from ther companies to a peace of mind.

I didnt have any issues at all it was a very pleasurable experience. Reza checked me in and it was super friendly, didnt try to push her up sell the insurance or anything like that when I said I was just going to use my own. It actually was a joy to work with him he made me laugh!It was mid-afternoon on a Wednesday and my car was ready and it was the car that I had reserved. It was not a brand spanking new vehicle and it had a few miles on it and it did have a broken front fog light glass, but we simply noted that on the form when we checked it out.The vehicle itself was clean and I enjoyed driving it around town for 3+ day and the check-in upon return was quick and easy with no hassles!This was my second time renting from Fox the first time was in Phoenix... didnt have an issue there either everybody and everything was great!My skepticism about renting from here with all the bad reviews is now totally gone after this second time. I wont hesitate to use them again!A special thanks to Reza and the gentleman who checked me in and out you rock!

I would give ZERO stars if I was able. Save yourself the time, trouble, and headache and just pick another rental service. I waited 1 hour and 37 minutes for a car to become available to drive. The staff was less than helpful during the process. I ended up receiving a car I did not want or request, and they gave me it with the tank absolutely empty. After waiting 1.5 hours, I had to immediately go get gas. A terrible, terrible experience.

I had never booked with Fox and after reading the reviews I was so nervous! I called ahead of time, based on the reviews, to let them know I couldn’t be downgraded and didn’t have time to wait since I was traveling with 2 kids and an infant. My husband probably waited 20 min for them to clean out a car (which was slightly downgraded) but didn’t have to wait for a shuttle either time! Bob, our shuttle driver, was amazing and so friendly. If you book with Fox, I will say this, they are not in a hurry. So if you can spare a few minutes of time, it’s worth the savings in cost!

Car return via email...return in terminal. Actual car return location...10 minutes of driving and trying to find it...NOT at the airport. Return was fast. Shuttle was quick. If I had known the return was off site, no problem. But dont tell me to return in the terminal and then be at a different location. My info was very specific for picking up the car. It should have been just as specific to return it. Or at least have included an address for the return location. Will not be using this company again.

Do not rent from Fox. The vehicle was not clean and smelled. I made sure to return the car with a full tank of gas and they charged me still. I have tried to reach out to give the company the benefit of the doubt to make right but you cant contact anyone. They dont reply to their emails either.

30 minute wait with only 5 people in line to get my reserved car. Told it smells like smoke so need to pay more and get another car. I said I smoke so its fine. I was late for a meeting. Go outside and wait another 30 mins for them to bring the car 30 yards to me. I get in and go. They failed to mention the car smelled like marajuna and I was stuck with that smell all weekend long. I called and asked for a discount or something, they said I can take it 50 miles and pick up a different one. What a joke. Avoid this place at all costs.

I had a rental reservation and there are no cars here, and no guarantee when they will have one. There are 2 people a head of me waiting.The manager is gone for the day, no one can help me. Yet there are over a dozen cars on the lot but they can’t rent those to me. I am here for my mother’s funeral and need to get things done. The lady behind the counter does not care.Extremely frustrating situation and very disappointed in the terrible service.

Extremely poorly managed. First off, it’s offsite from the airport. Good luck finding the shuttle pick up. If you call it will take an hour for somebody to answer. It took 30 min in line to get a car I didn’t order because they said I was late, even though the car was paid for. Waited another 45 min because they had to put gas in it and clean it. Got a janky, dirty, broken seat Kia.And Last month at LAX, it took almost an hour at midnight for me and my kids to get on a shuttle. There is a reason why it’s cheaper...I won’t be wasting my time ever again.

Worst customer service ever... Tried to extend the car for 2 weeks over the 30 days I rented it for and they wouldnt budge. They woulda made an extra 500 off me for 2 weeks yet they wanted the car back to re rent it for half that. Very ignorant for a companies business plan like that. I would spend the money for the national brands before using this company. They really are un cooperative.

Scheduled vehicle pickup.Came on site, been ignored for 30 mins, after been delayed for another 30 mins so they can wash the car...After complaints I realized this business have no service awareness, and as a business owner i belive that if you cannot get your customers happy you have no existence rights.So I left, went to A real rental company and was super happy.So spare your time, stay awayInstead of replying every review with nonsense, replace your employees into good ones.Obviously you didnt get any better since the first 1 star review, seems like the opposite

What a very pleasant surprise! I have never used Fox before and honestly have only stuck with the main car rentals. Pick up was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Car was exactly what I picked, drop off was less than 5 minutes and a smooth quick shuttle back to airport. I only regret it took this long to find them.

Worst experience ever. Rented a vehicle at the SNA location for business trip. My flight out was at 6:30am. I called the location, the night before the flight, it sends you through a chain that seems to be designed to keep you from actually speaking to any live person. I hear that the location opens at 6:00 am, which wouldn’t work for me. Then I hear that the shuttle starts at 5:00am, so I arrive at the location on the day of my flight just prior to 5am. No shuttle operating could be found, so I call the location again. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I get someone unfriendly and rude. She told me the location doesn’t offer after hours drop off and I would need to wait until the location opened to returning my vehicle. Which would for sure cause me to miss my flight. When explaining this I was told it’s not the companies fault for me not knowing that the location doesn’t offer after hours drop off.

Fox rental car was the absolute worst experience I have ever had picking up a rental car. I got there at 6:15 for a 6:30 reservation and I didn’t leave until 8:00. First they told me they didn’t have a standard SUV and I would jade to take a smaller car. I refused and insisted they give me the type of care I reserved. They found a car but it was being washed so I had to wait. Finally got the car(it was not clean) did the walk around and left. I didn’t even get out of the driveway and I heard a clanking noise and rattling. I turned around. They took it for a test ride and said the car had no breaks. I waited for another car. Just about to leave and they said I could not have that car because they assigned it to another customer. Now I am waiting for a third car and the bring me one that is filthy and smaller than the one I reserved. I did not take it. They then bring me a fourth car. I just took it because at this point I am exhausted. I get home and start putting my stuff in it and there is paw prints and dog hair all over the back seatOn top of all that they kept telling me that I should never book a car through a third party and that I should have called them to make sure they had a car for me.

Stay away...dont waste your time... they will turn you away after prepaying your reservation. And then tell you theres a cheaper company that accepts debt card. Left without a car. Whats worse was the money spent on an uber to pick up the car. Just stay away dont come here hoping to be the exception. They will purposely turn you away to another company to charge you at regular price.

This is the most horrible car rental experience that I’ve ever had. I will definitely not choose Fox Rent A Car anymore in the future.First, I reserved hybrid sedan in order to save fuel expense. However, what I received was a Jeep SUV. They are totally not at the “similar” level. Moreover, the vehicle is in high mileage and very difficult to drive.Second, I made the reservation and pre-paid the entire car rental via Priceline in advance. I was charged $150 security deposit hold during checking in. However, the deposit was not refunded after return and I was charged another $4.71. The charges doesn’t make any sense at all.Third, I picked up the vehicle with less than half tank of fuel, and I returned the vehicle with more than half tank of fuel. I should not be responsible for any fuel charge. However, I received a receipt including full tank fuel charge.In summary, what I experienced at Fox Rent A Car is totally unacceptable. They need to significantly improve their service, vehicle condition, and billing process.

I recommend going to another rental agency. Fox is not located at the airport. Shuttle service is slow. The car was not clean and was delivered with a gas tank less than half full. I was pressured to pre-pay them for gas and was charged even though I returned it with more gas then I started with.

While on the less expensive side of rental car places the wait times and customer service left lots to be desired. Its also not particularly close to the airport which further increases wait times. The car itself is nice and in nice condition. Overall would not recommend if your time is a resource you care highly about.

Worse experience at this location. My flight landed at 2 pm and I reached to fox location using their wan at 2:45 and then I waited in line for 45min to reach to an agent with 4 people in the line and once I was assigned with the car then they took 50 min and I give me the car which was more frustrating. I am not using this location any more. My flight travel was 1 hour but to pickup the car I waited almost 2 hours.

The worst rental company I dealt with My work needs to deal with leasing companies for three years. A fine of $ 25 was imposed for each day late for the delivery date, knowing that I tried to call the bad customer service phone that takes 55 minutes from your time and no one answers and I was out of town I cannot reach the office and there is no customer service and the manager of this branch is badly treated and did not help me Finally, I explained to her that I could not reach them because they did not answer the customer service phone
