They were excellent.Did not have my replacement tire. They ordered it and within 3 hrs my new tire was delivered.We were from Queens NY so we truly appreciated their help.

Tallmadge Tire has been my saving grace this past year. I’ve needed multiple things done on my car and have been so impressed with how they have been able to manage scheduling that has been so convenient, on top of being diligent in following the plethora of state and county guidelines regarding the pandemic. Each time I visited every staff member had a mask on, sanitizing stations were available, and the furniture had been moved strategically to promote social distancing. Thanks for making getting my car fixed a stress free process!

I was referred to Tallmadge from a local dealership and I wasnt mislead. My daughters car broke down in Cortland where she attends school and I am hours away. It was a huge relief to find this garage, they are professionals in every sense of the word. They got the car fixed in a timely manner even after dealing with parts issues that were not any fault of their own. I would recommend this place to everyone. Glad I was pointed in their direction.

I got in my car last Friday only to get a low tire pressure warning, not just a few PSIs but 20 Psis lower than the three other tires. I stopped in Tallmadge and explained the problem and all the technicians were busy with scheduled appointments and I had a meeting in Ithaca in less than an hour. They were sympathetic to y needs and jumped from behind the counter to the parking lot to remove and repair my tire. I am so thankful for their fantastic customer service. This Place is great. found no one was available or willing to change one single tire on my Subaru without changing all four. This place was fast fair and priced well the should be a go to stop in cortland dont waste your time or money on the other shops come here.

Tallmadge really helped me out today. I had an inspection and an oil change appointment and while I was there I also asked them to “check out this weird noise I was hearing.” Turns out they checked the whole car over and discovered I needed a new wheel hub. I am thankful they were able to help not to mention the prompt service and attention. I’d recommend them 100%

We got a flat tire while on our way to NYC and had called and stopped at several places and found no one was available or willing to change one single tire on my Subaru without changing all four (I’m aware it ruins the wear but we didn’t have the extra time or money to spend.) On our last effort we called Tallmadge and they not only agreed to change the single tire, but had one in stock and got us in immediately. It was quick and a fair price and it made us only slightly behind schedule for our trip. They really helped us out and couldn’t recommend them more!

If I have to take my car somewhere I would take it here. They don’t try to talk you into fixing something if they know you can fix it yourself, pricing is fair and work is good.

If I could give zero stars and still do a review you bet I would! Trying to charge me $790 for some BS repairs on top of my $1500 warranty work, which the warranty company is one of the easiest to work with and they did get instant approval, feel sorry for all the people you have and continue to rip off! Never will we bring our vehicles back to you!!Back to your response; there was absolutely no miscommunication, it was unavoidable according to your employee. And power steering lines for my vehicle dont run over $200 for the more expensive ones. Thanks for trying to rip me off, and again I feel sorry for whoever else you take advantage of.

Not friendly at all do not accomdate people with disabilities or handicap at all I would recommend going just down road to Mavis and Cole muffler cheaper all way around and will help you with any your tire or automotive needs ask for Justin you do not have any handicap parking just look at your place my wife and mother in law are both handicapped for you to say that totally inappropriate as far as your service I have sent many people down to Mavis to visit my son who quite capable of making them happy say what will about my family pretty low of a business owner

Had 4 snow tires mounted in the fall. I had to go back because one was out of balance- the truck shook when going any faster than about 30 and it definitely did not do this with the previous tires. But even after they fixed it, the tire was still out of balance. I just decided to deal with it for one winter.Just swapped to my summer tires & rims yesterday and I could barely get the lugs off with a 2 breaker bar and every ounce of my 170 lbs. So 170 lbs x 2 = 340 ft. lbs of torque. The manufacturer calls for 84 ft. lbs. Its a miracle they didnt warp my rotors. I do my own maintenance with the exception of mounting / balancing tires so I know how much it usually takes to get the lugs off when they are properly torqued, even after theyve been on for a while. If I had a flat and had to get them off on the side of the road with a tire iron, I dont think I would have been able to do it. Oh, and no more shaking now, so I know for sure that I had a tire balancing issue with the snows which Tallmadge mounted.Also I have a dashcam in my truck and I decided to watch the footage of its time at Tallmadge. Whoever test drove it after the tires were mounted was driving way too fast down small residential streets near the shop. You would think at that speed they would have at least noticed the balancing issue.I wont be back.

My daughter is a student at SUNY Cortland and has had very good experience here. I have 30+ years in the automotive / service business so I am very familiar with automotive repair. Any time she has had a concern with her car, they were able to squeeze her into their schedule. If it was a $20 repair, they recommended a $20 repair, not $200. I never felt the need to intercede to make sure they were not taking advantage of young girl who is clueless about auto repair. I have found Tallmadge to be very reputable, honest and reasonably priced.
