Was very hesitant to buy a car from a used car dealer. However Action Auto had a pretty rare vehicle for sale that I was interested in. After my first conversation with Pat I began to feel more comfortable about looking at the vehicle. It turned out the vehicle was in impeccable condition. Pat is a real stickler about the cars he acquires to sell. I drove 2 3/4 hours from NJ to look at the vehicle and a had to drive up a second time to finalize the purchase of the vehicle. I purchased a Ford F250 truck and asked Pat to acquire some add on items for the truck like a bed cover, etc... Pat quickly got the items and installed them for me without charging any labor. Ive never see something like this before. The day I picked up the vehicle Pat spent over two hours going over all the technology configurations and detailed every aspect of the truck inside and out. Excellent experience from start to finish! Pat was very prompt in responding to my initial phone call and quickly provided all the info requested including extra pics, details and vehicle history. As a car guy, I was a very picky buyer and new exactly what I wanted and what to look for on the vehicle having looked at many through the process as well as being a current owner of an older model of the same vehicle and trim level already. Pat was able to satisfy all my questions, provide clarity on the picky details and assure me the car was all that I expected ahead of time so that I had the confidence to trust and move forward with the purchase without being there in person. The car was beautifully detailed and they even applied an extra coat of wax before we picked it up to protect the finish from bugs on the long trip home! Customer service was outstanding as we are from Michigan and due to my work obligations, my wife volunteered to make the trip and fly from Detroit to Syracuse, NY to pick up the car and Pat picked her up from the airport, drove her to the dealer and took care of everything quickly so the drive home could be underway. I purchased a vehicle from Pat and his staff at Action Auto last month and couldn’t be happier. I did most of my shopping on line and a lot of sites did not do a very good job with providing detailed photos of their vehicles. Action Auto’s photos covered just about every angle of the truck inside and out and made me feel comfortable enough to drive out of state about 3 hours to see the truck. Pat and his staff were very polite and helpful. They weren’t pushy or aggressive and negotiations were pretty straight forward, no playing the numbers game. After we agreed on the price they walked me through every aspect of the purchase. I thought the car was in great condition when I saw it, but they insisted they detail it again before I left...lol. I was originally set on only buying from a ford dealer thinking it would be a local trade in or they would have the vehicle history, but everything was bought at auction from all over the country. Action Auto does the same thing and judging by the cars on their lot they only pick clean well maintained vehicles. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to them for another purchase.
