Havent had to go outside of regular cleanings/checkups (so no review of major procedures), but the dental hygienist was the best, most attentive, and thorough Ive ever experienced. Highly recommended service.Update: Rating was updated (improved) after resolving a billing issue. Reason for 4/5 stars is due to the automatic billing system, which is frequently inaccurate. Any patient should carefully cross-check statements from their insurance company with billing statements to avoid being overcharged.

10/10 recommend Dr. McBride and the team! He made my routine cleaning quick and painless. Scheduling online is also super easy. I didnt know I would look forward to a dentist appointment!

Theres nothing bad I can say about my experience at this office. I waited far too long before deciding to go and get my teeth looked at, but the staff was extremely comforting and never made me feel guilty about having waited. The hygienists were very knowledgeable and transparent, making sure to explain all of my x-rays and imaging. The receptionist was also fantastic in helping with my insurance. If youre looking for a dentist, definitely dont hesitate to go here!

I am new to the Iowa City/Coralville area and was looking for a dentist. I am so glad I chose Midwest dental in Coralville. Dr.McBride and Thao are amazing and so friendly. They truly make you feel comfortable and get to know you. Thao did a thorough cleaning for my teeth and throughout the entire process was always asking me how I was doing and explaining everything she was doing. If you are new to the area and are looking for a dentist, definitely give Midwest dental in Coralville a try!

A special recognition for Thao, a dental hygienist that cares for your health and overall well-being. Her kindness and expertise at every appointment are appreciated. Absolutely phenomenal office! Clean, friendly, timely. My hygienist, Thao, is fabulous and highly skilled in her craft. She explained every step of the process, and I felt confident in my treatment plan. Dr. McBride has a warm, calm, and kind presence. I feel cared for under their care. I reaaaally don’t like going to the dentist. After coming here, I now look forward to it!

Just a great place. Jen is tremendous with the billing and scheduling part. She is a very friendly face to see when you arrive. Tao (not for sure about spelling) is a wonderful Hygienist, very conscience and thorough. The dentists are top notch as well. This dental office is by far the best one I’ve ever been to. They scheduled my appointments without having to pay upfront, unlike a lot of other dentists. The quality of work is top notch as well. I recommend going here! Much better than anything else you’ll find in Coralville!

Dr. William McBride is my dentist. You will never find a more CARING, GENTLE, knowledgeable, compassionate, dedicated, professional, kind and patient dentist AND human being than Dr. Will McBride. As a patient of Dr. McBrides, I have always felt HEARD and cared about. Because of Dr. McBrides patience and willingness to explain in detail, what needs to be done, I have always been sure of what the treatment plan would be. There were no surprises along the way. I always knew what the costs would be and there’s never ANY pressure to do anything you aren’t up to doing. My dental work has been SUPERIOR from Dr. McBride! He’s spent the last 11 years re-doing a lot of the work I had done years ago and he’s done a fabulous job!I’ve never felt rushed, pressured, ignored or unimportant. Dr. McBride cares so deeply for each of his patients. I’ve had multiple dentists in my lifetime from living in different cities and none of them have even come close to the level of care I receive from Dr. McBride and his staff at Midwest Dental.Dr. McBride is the BEST dentist I’ve ever known and I’m so grateful to be one of his patients! I hadnt been to the dentist in years but still imagined that my teeth would be pretty solid. I was wrong! But everyone who works at the office is kind and positive, and I never felt shamed or bad about how Id let my dental care lapse. Instead, I felt cared for, and its inspired me to take better care of my overall health. Could not recommend more highly!

Midwest Dental Coralville is wonderful! Super friendly and supportive staff that has made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process of going to the dentist. My smile is my least favorite feature but it has been pretty incredible seeing a noticeable difference after our initial cleanings. I FEARED the dentist for YEARS. I haven’t been to the dentist in 10 years. I had originally told them that and they were more than happy to help me. They walked me through everything they were doing. They showed me x-rays and pictures of my teeth and explained what we’re the problems. They were super nice and patient with me. Can’t wait to see them in 6 months! They even showed me the correct way to floss (I didn’t even know there was a wrong way to floss, but leave it to me to do it that way!). They never made me feel dumb for waiting to go to the dentist so long or flossing wrong! I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Amazing. I hate the dentist but these guys were awesome. From the friendly front desk staff to the thorough and educated hygienist and even the dentist spent over 10 minutes with me - every part was awesome. Im actually excited to come back, and one of the doctors offers botox! Honestly such great customer service and attention to detail.

I have HATED and feared dentists my whole life. So much so that I put off my dental care for years until I broke a tooth and couldnt ignore it anymore. Walking into this office - i was fully ready to have those same cold and harsh experiences that made me fear the dentist in the first place. I cannot stress enough that my experience with this office was exactly the opposite. The office manager Jennifer is so kind and welcoming. The dental assistant and Dr. McBride put me at ease, explained what would be happening, and gave me so much piece of mind. They often checked in on me during and even called to check in on me after my procedures. These people care so much, and it shows. I am very grateful I found this office and recommend it to anyone who needs dental work!!

My visit to the new Midwest Dental in Coralville was a pleasant experience. The office is comfortable, beautiful and modern, and the people are great. I liked Dr. McBride. He is caring and took the time to explain everything well. He replaced one of my fillings. It was painless and quick. Recommended.

Lovely experience at Midwest Dental Coralville. Dr. McBride was knowledgeable and friendly. I did not feel rushed through the exam like I have at previous dental practices. The office staff are friendly and helpful, the location is convenient and the facilities are very modern. I visited shortly after the office opened following the Covid closures and was impressed with the thoughtful safety measures taken to keep patients safe. A well-trained hygienist provided a thorough cleaning that was comfortable and went quickly. Would highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, complimentary masks and wonderful humor

I had a wonderful experience at Midwest Dental in Coralville. There is plenty of parking space, check in was easy, and the front desk staff were very polite. This was my first visit to this office so my hygienist took extra care to explain each step of the new patient process to me. I have pretty severe TMJ issues and she was very perceptive in checking in to make sure I was ok. Dr. Teahen was excellent and took extra time to answer my questions in a very friendly and professional way. I highly recommend this dental practice.
