This dentist is really nice, i broke my rear tooth, he got me in the same day for a quick check and then set appointment to have 2 teeth pulled and 3 cavities drilled and filled. It only took an hour to do all of that work! Really impressed by the price, plus he gave me a discount! Very happy with his work.

Dr. Z did a wonderful job of making feel welcomed. He was able to provide me care when other providers in the area would not take me on as a patient due to my insurance. As a disability advocate it is very important to have provider that will see patients and not discriminate based on socioeconomic status. We as individuals have the right to choose our provider. This does not seem to be the case with marginalized populations, as fewer and fewer providers are accepting new patients that fall in this category. Dr. Z understands that each individual has obstacles that they need to overcome and is willing to work with patients in order for them to have dental care. If it was not for Dr. Z myself and my family would have been able to get dental care. I highly recommend him as a provider as he does not discriminate based on insurance and will do his best to accommodate each patient based on their needs. Side Note: He is also pretty funny and made me laugh multiple time during my appointments.

Dr. Z shared more information with me about my teeth and my x-rays than any other dentist I have visited. His explanations were thorough and very helpful. I really liked being able to see my x-rays as he pointed out what was going on with my teeth and offered various options in how to move forward.Dr Z is not only very knowledgeable in dentistry, but he also understands what is covered and not covered by insurance. He works with you to be sure you understand what your insurance covers.He is very personable and is your only contact within the office. I felt he really understood me and my teeth. He took the time to get to know me. Plus, he makes sure all your questions are answered before you leave his office.I highly recommend Dr. Z.

Dr Zarei is awesome! So friendly and funny and makes you feel at home. He fixed the chips in my front teeth and I almost cried because how great they looked. He even checked in a few days later to make sure I had no sensitivity or problems. I trust him fully with my teeth, he is amazing at his job! I will be going to him for all my dental needs from now on.

Unfortunately, I had an operation at this dentist. Before the operation, the surface of my front teeth was smooth. The first night I left this dentistry, a whole piece of my front teeth fell off. Later I want to transfer to other dentistry. I have asked this dentist many times to give me my X-rays and medical records, but they all evaded me in various ways, and even refused to answer my phone. This dentist has two faces and they looked so rude after the accident. I will sue them！I know what country this is. I have lived in this country for 7 years. You don’t need malicious racial discrimination. My front teeth are broken in your dentistry. You don’t need to quibble anymore. Let go of your hypocritical face. I kindly asked you to send me a copy of my X-ray before, but you refused. Why is it so friendly now? What are you hiding? what are you worried about?

I always come here to clean my teeth, and I have to say Zavash is the most friendly dentist that I have ever met in America. He is not only professional but also very patient. Whenever I was in trouble with my tooth, I send him message and he always reply me with professional suggestions at first, and then arrange me an appointment. I am leaving here to New York, and I seriously doubt I can meet any dentist like Zavash.

Words cant describe how wonderful Dr. Zarei is. He is caring, passionate, and extremely professional. My teeth were hurting really bad recently that keeps me from sleeping. I have to see a dentist, so I’m here trying to find out what’s going on. Doc. Zavash was really good at finding the problem and explaining solutions to me. We went through many tests and finally found the problem, it’s the wisdom teeth that make me so painful. At first I wanted to get teeth cleaned and clean the cavity, but Zavash said he didn’t want my pain going further. I’m grateful that he can be so patient and friendly. And he also taught me how to correctly brush teeth which could be a major thing. I mean I really had a good experience here. BYW, I really like the decorations here, it relax me a lot.

First time I came to this place I felt valued and was taken very good care off. One of my front teeth was broken and he fixed it. This was such a great moment cos I finally got my smile back but I was advised it could break from chewing bones or cutting open boxes. So my took eventually broke again after about 2-3wks during Christmas and new year period. But thank God this man was very understanding and fixed my teeth again. Now I am very careful with my teeth so that it doesn’t break again. More to that, I would definitely use his services again

By far the absolute BEST Dr. I have ever seen!!I had 3 infected teeth, one was broken also!I got in THE DAY I called, he also scheduled me to come back a couple days later ON HIS DAY OFF to fix what would normally take multiple appointments anywhere else. I cannot be any more happier that I found a dentist that actually cares! He took time to explain every step of the way & what he was going to do. Do not hesitate to schedule an appointment here! My old Dentist wanted to put braces on my daughter when she was 7 and didnt have all her permanent teeth and I didnt have insurance at the time. Doctor Zari pulled her fangs and gave her a spacer and all her teeth turned around and she never needed braces!!! So much cheaper!!! I started bringing my Daughter to you about 25 years ago and now my Sister, Brother, my Niece and Myself and even a few of my Friends even come here now!!! I was able to be seen quickly since I was overdue on a cleaning. Dr. Zarie was very patient with me, asking me plenty of questions and genuinely thoughtful of my dental health. He wasnt quick to rush me out and move on to his next patient like most doctors are these days. He even gave me a cash discount since I was paying out of pocket. Friendly and professional, I highly recommend.

Let me start by saying this man is an amazing human being. I started calling every dental place in Coralville, Iowa City, even Cedar Rapids around 8am needing an emergency extraction. He was the only one that made me smile on the phone .. after multiple clinics rejected me or appointments were too far out; something told me to call Afsie back because I felt somehow safe going to this dental office so my boyfriend spoke for me since the pain was unbearable to even talk. I felt so relieved when he told me to come on in because I needed serious help. Before we began he gave me crackers and juice and told me I should eat so I don’t have a stomachache after the extraction. I felt like a kid in the dentist office :) Seeing the way he treat his patients put a smile on my face. This man is high in spirit! We got the extraction done and I caught my self saying, that’s it? It’s out?! I 1000% recommend this place and I never thought I’d say this but I can’t wait to go back to the dentist!

I have been to very many dentists in my life and probably haven’t had the best experiences related to high prices, long waits, or even getting cavities drilled/teeth reshaped without novocaine. Dr. Z made this the best dentist experience I have ever had! Definitely a genuinely caring dentist! Even with COVID-19 pandemic, I felt very safe being there as they took all the appropriate measures and then some. I personally have an immune deficiency disorder and would recommend anyone to go there even right now during a pandemic!

After living in the Coralville/ Iowa City for a long time, I can confidently say this is the best place for dental work in the area. Dr. Zarei is such an amazing dentist, he makes all his clients feel so welcomed and heard. I had to have an emergency root canal and Dr. Zarei fitted me in the same day! A year later and my root canal is still in great shape, his cleanings are also amazing- it is impossible to leave a cleaning appointment and not feel like you have a fresh new set of teeth. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

Dr. Zarei is an amazing dentist! I had not been to the dentist in a while and he took care of my teeth. He taught me the correct way of brushing and informed me about the role of flora in teeth. Couldnt smile , couldnt have a real conversation with out feeling self conscious. Dr. Z put in a partial on top . He gave me a root canal and got some roots out that had broke . I gave one star, because they were able to get me in quickly or else I would have gave zero stars. I had the male dentist and he acted as he was in a hurry. My first appointment was x-rays and a cleaning. I was in and out the door in 15 minutes. My second and last appointment, he re-did 6 fillings. He did not wait for the pain medication that he injected to kick in, he right away started to work on my teeth. I had to tell him that I still felt it multiple times. Instead of giving time for the pain medication to kick in, he kept giving me more medication and then right away started working on my teeth. My bite is off and I told him that. He said he couldnt see it and that I would be fine. I had my teeth done 2 weeks ago and I am still having tooth pain and my bite is still off. I will not go back. I will have my records sent somewhere else and get my fillings fixed there.

Dr showed me the progressive relaxation,by taking deep breath thru nose,hold 4 second exhale out mouth,repeat several times, definitely helped with my procedure ,awesome doctor!

Im very scared going to the Dentist. I went to Dr. Zarei at AFSIE DENTAL..I was scheduled for an 8am appointment. He couldnt even get the needle in to numm my mouth. Apparently my anxiety level was thru the roof☹‼ Dr. Zarei, stop the process and brought me juice & crackers time calm my the nerves. He sat and talked with me for hours, informing me on how important it is to be (calm/relaxed) since anxiety is not good on the heart. Today was my 2nd time going to afsie dental. I had to get a lot of work done this last month. I had gotten 8 metal fillings as a child between 8 and 10 years old. I am now 34 years old and, started going to this dentist and, he was very informative about them which I really appreciate it because no other dentist ever said anything about them and, I like that he was up forward and honest about things. I had a total of at least 14 teeth work done and some of them had to be filed because when I was younger I had braces and, there was damage from those. he made my teeth look really nice!The whole time Dr. Zarie was making sure I was comfortable. Was very careful and, he did his job pretty quick co sidering all the work he had to do! I definitely recommend this place. Theyre really good at making you feel as comfortable as possible and, ask if you have any questions afterwards.If you are looking for a new and good dentist i recommend Afsie dental! My husband and, children go here too. They have a different dentist and she is great with them too!

The best dentist. We always walk in and are greeted by the whole staff which are so nice. Dr. Zarei personally walks us back and is so funny and welcoming. The whole staff treats you like family. In fact, I had an appointment yesterday and couldnt find a babysitter for my kids so they had to tag along. The whole team was all pitching in to help giving them toys, stickers, juice, and crackers. He never tells you what to do, he gives you all of your options and lets you make an educated decision. When my kids have their appointments, they go above and beyond to make sure they feel good about going to the dentist. Could not say enough about them, they are great.

My experience with Dr afsie was excellent.. at first I was a bit nervous but he talk to me and I forgot all about I was at the dental. He is wonderful!!!!!

When I expressed concern about payment she told me they have payment plans and not to worry about a thing. She even took my info for my insurance over the phone to save me time. I am so glad I found them! She is an angel! Hold on to her.

Ive been coming to this dentist since I was a kid. One of the nicest staff in town! Very professional in every aspect. Great social skills, will make you feel secure and will do whats best for you and youre stinky teeth! If he tells you to take ibuprofen, you should probably take it. If you dont like needles then youre out of luck because a pinch or two that will make you numb does feel a lot better than getting youre teeth worked on without it. I would highly recommend Dr. Zarei!

I had the female dentist here. The staff is friendly so Ill give them that much. She was very rough. I was previously given a referral for my wisdom teeth removal from my orthodontist which I failed to used in a year. I asked her for another and she swore up and down I had more than enough room for my teeth. They started growing in and now Im in excruciating pain because my wisdom teeth are pressing against my jaw. Today, the doctor was disappointed and surprised she said I had enough room because its very clear I dont. Im not happy about this.

I started going to Dr. Zarei when I lived in Coralville, because it was close and convenient. My wife had to have some dental work done, and she was really impressed with his skills and his pain management. Dr. Zarei told me that dental work should not hurt. If it hurts, they will find another way to do it. Ive since moved further away, but I keep coming back. He is good. He knows his stuff. He is up to date on all of the latest techniques. I would highly recommend Dr. Zarei.
