I contacted Riverbend hoping to schedule an appointment and learn about the process as this is my first time looking to get into therapy. I left a message after calling multiple times and not reaching someone directly. Someone contacted me the following day. After returning their call I was almost immediately put off by who I spoke to regarding the adult services. I was cut off while speaking and the first thing out of her mouth was, were booking at least 3 months out and it will be by zoom. I started to ask if they know of anywhere not zoom and before finishing that sentence was cut off again by her response of, thats how it is everywhere and youre not going to find anywhere not doing zoom. I ended up responding with, never mind and ended the call. Reaching out can be really hard already and when the person makes you feel like a burden/ annoyed to be on the phone it is very discouraging.
