This is my 2nd time here. I feel very safe at this facility and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is decent and the counselor and staff all worked together to help meet my needs. And they do allow you to smoke which helps.

What a scam. Did more damage than good in the week I stayed. Got mail from them today claiming I owe them thousands of dollars well after we’d paid off the tens of thousands they shilled from us. Absolute scam. Stay out of my life.

My child wash here for 6 days , during the stay she was exposed to covid the whole unit as of 3 days ago was under quarantine but they still were making kids leave the unit (all about the mighty dollar, make room for new patients) which puts families at risk of this deadly virus. They only did one therapy session with my child in 6 days? Arent they suppose to be there to help these kids get in a better mindset? Again just worried about money it seems. They didnt return all of my childs belongs upon release. My child is now sitting covid positive while the rest of the family is doing our best to not catch it also. ( months ago we buried 3 family members due to covid and most the family caught it and has some health struggles even now. This company has no care for families, they only want your money. If I was able to get a do over I would go to Nationwide Childrens they do care about you and offer your family their best from treatment and therapy to aftercare. Avoid this place if you can and take your child to Nationwide. If I could give zero stars I wouldve! Complete letdown to our child and family!

Great place to be to regroup and get a fresh start. Very clean and food was nice. I would recommend to others and I would use again if needed. The staff was kind and very patient.

Im glad I landed here. This place has been reassuring respectful and calming. Ms. Helen, Mr. David, Ms Char, Keys, Jan.i also chose to do the php program. I appreciate the atmosphere . I recommend this place to anyone that loses themselves.

Fantastic service and staff on 4 South, made me feel welcomed in my time of need. Actually decent food and that comes from a picky eater. Listened to my needs and made me feel valued, they all helped create a great community within our unit and it made the time fly by while I was getting the help I crucially needed to help begin to combat my PPD and PPA

Nurses completely ignored everyone anytime myself or any of my friends in there asked for anything. It took 40 mins just to get a pair of socks. They constantly were yelling at us for stupid things and treated us like complete pyschos when we were only a couple of very depressed kids. The nurses were so rude and it was very hard to understand most of the staff and specifically the doctor through their thick accents. Overall the only reason I got better there was because of the people who were also hospitalized with me.

They have a great staff awesome service. Ask for 4 north. Stacy, Chad, Vic, Jan, Marry, all are great staff. Take advantage of the program it will help I time of need.

Go to Nationwide instead. There was a fight in the courtyard when they combined 2 wards together. They never consulted me for a safety plan for my child, yet they put on the forms that they did. They were rude and dismissive. Do not go here if you have a choice.

I had a great educational experience for my mental health. Staff members like John Allen, Nikolas, Jan, Maurice, and so much more helped me a lot for the week I was here.

Going to this place was the worst experience of my life. Its like a prison and I took HUGE steps back in my mental health. I would give it zero stars if I could. I now need therapy just to process my time there. I would never recommend this place to a single person in my life. Not even to my worst enemy. The staff was completely inept and the communication between doctors, nurses, and staff was just nonexistent. I was traumatized by my experience there. Not to mention that there were signs saying that masks were to be worn in communal spaces and it was not enforced, and most of the staff members either didnt wear them, or didnt wear them correctly. What a disgrace of a place that is supposed to be a place for people to get help.

My experience at Sun Behavioral was excellent. The 8 days I was here didn’t even feel that long. The staff, in my opinion, that I’ve met were all amazing. There was Will, Lilian, Michael, Rony, Debby, etc that I really liked. They have made an important impression on my health and how I’ll view the outside. All of them are my favorite because they are all so sweet, loving, caring, above and beyond, all of the above and more! I love each of them so much. If there were visitation, I would for sure come to see them. I hope they all have a great time when I leave but I will really miss all of them. This really helped me see myself in a new light. I thank everyone who participated in my arrival and my discharge.

I have been to this facility twice now and both times have been very good. There are multiple workers that I truly connected with and they’re very good at their job. I have recommended to other people and they have also had a good experience. Don’t be afraid to get help if you need it!

I am safe here, i am loved here. i would recommend this place to anyone and everyone suffering from trauma. the staff was more than helpful and guided me into the right direction. i was out in FOUR days, and i walked in sobbing begging for help.

I definitely give this a 5 star... all the staffs and nurse were amazing and a very clean facility.... I have no complaints... food is great too! And the programs here are awesome!....and miss Keysa is wonderful

I was a patient for 10 days at Sun Behavioral Health. It was the absolute worst experience I have had in a psychiatric hospital. I have never seen so many staff members yell at the patients. Foul language was used by the staff and many patients were ignored if they needed something. There was a water machine that did not work. I was constantly thirsty because you had to ask staff for water and you were given a small cup. The food was inedible. One patient was very upset because he was diabetic, had not eaten in 18 hours, and he was unable to eat what he was eventually given because it was not diabetes friendly food. Instead of staff getting out of their chair to find a patient or staff member, they would yell for that person. There was no way to get any sleep due to night staff whistling, talking loud and banging doors. It was almost impossible to understand the psychiatrist because his English was weak and he had trouble expressing what he meant. This place was worse than the State Hospital. Don’t waste your money or time. I saw no one leave better off than when they got there.

Great for immediate help in a crisis situation

I have loved my experience here at Sun! I have been here 2 times and everybody here has always been super nice to me! My favorite person here would be Mrs. Kisha! She has always been super nice to me and treated me with respect!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. The care is terrible and there was only one competent nurse who didn’t judge everyone or brush everyone off. Amber The blonde nurse on 4S was the ONLY nurse that listened to our needs and showed compassion. The food is disgusting and we get yelled at by the guy in the kitchen when asking for anything. The staff was talking about their personal life in front of patients with extreme detail. The therapists are non existent, The nurse assistants brag about hitting patients when they act out. Never again.

Chad and Jean are amazing they helped me through a lot when I was here.If you go there chad and Jean are the ones that help the most.They are really understanding about everything

The staff is really great. Food food is surprisingly good. The group meetings are very helpful. The people here are so friendly and I’ve made a lot of new friends. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs help.

Definitely an experience I will never forget, I will say that the weekend staff is absolutely terrible other than Edward on the night shift. Everyone else on the weekend staff doesnt really care about your progress and will honestly hinder it. However once the regular week staff arrived everything got 110% better with Chad and the therapists actually doing their jobs and helping with getting better.

I really want to thank Josh, Keysa, & Jan. they were really sweet and nice and gave me good advice and great listening ears.

Bogus place. They dont care about people they just want paid to not help people. Its a shame cause i could have made them famous ;) they had to let me out cause it would have been a malpractice lawsuit. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for treating me wrong cause i was born differently. Fortunately have extra DNA doesnt make me crazy it makes you guilty of comitting a hate crime...

I spent almost a week here so that I could get my attitude right and my head straight. The staff there was very helpful. They taught me better coping skills and was patient with me. I felt safe there. Anyone that is frustrated with life and you dont know where to turn please dont give up because sun hospital is here to help. I would tell everyone to seek help from this place.

My opinion: Sun Behavioral is a medicaid scam. My son has a 7 year history of severe mental illness. When sent here because of insurance preferences by Dublin Methodist Hospital, he was never seen by a psychiatrist despite the fact that he had discontinued medication and threatened to kill himself or others on multiple occasions. On his 4th day, the patient called his mother to inform her that he was being released (no explanation). Being as I am his mental health guardian, I had expected to receive a call from a doctor to discuss his condition or course of medical treatment. That did not occur.Calls to the facility are unanswered, prompting leave a message instructions. The messages are never returned. I think a zero rating should be available, particularly considering that lives are a stake.

The therapist Heather did an excellent job coordinating care with the outpatient provider. She set up a Zoom meeting for the patient to communicate with her outpatient team. Heather was receptive to feedback and was very helpful. The patient said she was very nice and did a good job.

I was inpatient at Sun for 6 days. I had a really good experience there and I got help that I needed. Like everything, there were definitely things that could have been better. The only HUGE thing that happened to me specifically while I was there was that I was having a pretty bad panic attack and I was yelled at by the nurse on duty. She chased me into my room and screamed at me that I was on unit restriction for 2 days. My friend, another patient, had to pull her aside and calm HER down. A patient seeking help should not have to tell a staff member how to do their job. Also, there was a tick cooked into my chickpea at dinner and the only response I got when I pointed it out was a very sarcastic throw it away from the cook. OTHER than those instances, I did receive help from many other people and a lot of the staff did a superb job. Miss Erika, Amber, and the lady that did music therapy were amazing. Thank you for being brilliant humans.

My stay here was very very interesting. Staff would often ignore and disregard me, I was frequently told to do tasks I had already done, and when I expressed problems with a fellow patient who made inappropriate physical contact with me nothing was done. I’ve been to three other facilities for inpatient psychiatric treatment and not in my wildest dreams would I recommend Sun. Not to mention the food is basically inedible, there is hardly anything to do but watch 10 basic cable channels on a television behind a glass cabinet, look through the books covered in coffee or markers, or play Monopoly. I wish this place has been better, I really tried to give it a chance because I wanted to get better and I am better, but i got better on my own. If you need psychiatric treatment under 17, go to Nationwide Children’s. 18+? Ohio State Harding.

A wonderful and caring team that’s knowledgeable and dedicated to listening and providing exceptional care to the needs of their patients and families.

While it looks nice on the outside, dont be fooled. We took my daughter here for a 72 suicide watch. She ended up staying for 2 wks and it did nothing for her. The staff slammed doors which is a trigger for many and did trigger many from what I was told. The staff only seems to care about keeping patients medicated over actually helping them. Everything that she learned there she had learned already on her own so it really done nothing for her but help her make a few new friends. She herself told me she never wanted to come back there and if god forbid something else ever did happen, she would find a better place to seek help.

I was at SUN for 6 days and on 3s I miss miss.bri a lot and she helped me find hope while I was there. The staff there were very nice the only thing was the food wasn’t the greatest. I also wish there was a way I could thank miss.bri on 3s one last time.

I spent a few days here and besides my first 2 days everything was fine there were very few staff that actually cared about my help. the therapists group were pretty great and enjoyable.

They don’t listen and they don’t care about you.

Weekend staff doesnt seem to care about anything but their paycheck. Week staff cares a lot more and once monday came I was treated much better. I love Chad, hes the best. Jan F is very kind and has a positive attitude. Edward, the nightshift nurse is the bomb as well.

Communication lacking to nonexistent. They could never locate a supervisor in charge. They medicated my 12 year old against my consent and it wasn’t medically necessary. I would not send anyone here. Ever. Never ever.

The nurses here are very helpful aswell as the tech crew it took a couple of day to settle and be comfortable but its really nice when you settle in also nurse Mary and tech guy Chad are very good

I posted this but realized it went under my friends names. But this is my review. This place has saved my life. I was unable to detox from fentanyl going to an outpatient facility. I knew I needed inpatient help and detox. Sun behavioral is an amazing place. They have staff that really cares and makes sure that your needs are taken care of. From the Nurse Amber J who listened and solved any medical issues I had to the patient care techs especially Keysa and Meson it was absolutely the best care I’ve had at any detox facility I’ve been to. If you are an addict or need any mental health help this is the place you want to come.

Amazing staff, they treat you like a human being not like you have something wrong with you. Actually about to head there myself for the second time this time Im willing to go on my own terms because of the amazing experience I had my first time going. Would absolutely recommend, its worth the drive from Dayton, OH because the care is top notch and they will make sure you are ready they dont just send you home they help you find solutions and the actual root of the issues you are having with your mental health. They will make sure you are stabilized before leaving.

Patient care was top notch. All of the staff was extremely helpful. I highly recommended Sun for anyone seeking help.

Everyone was very helpful with my panic attacks and over all health mr. Josh and miss char and ms.keysa was always there when needed I highly recommend this place if you need help
