I loved living here! The manager was very caring and supportive. He made sure he could help you when you had an issue. Aaron is very straight forward and what he says is what he means. If I didnt have to move do to school district issues, I would still be there!

PROS: The management is great, very attentive and diligent on trying to get things addressed. Parking is a little tight but its gotten better as the complex has cracked down on the parking policy. As long as visitors park where their supposed to, your guests will be fine. Management communicates great with the residents and the complex is kept clean. maintenance is very helpful and courteousCONS: the biggest issues ive had are with security; year round there is a problem with people robbing unlocked cars, so dont leave valuables in your car and double checked that they are locked. And plumbing, from last spring till now ive had one instance of a pipe bursting and flooding both my bathrooms and the hallway, and two instances the people above me overflowing their bathrooms and the water pouring down from the vents into my apartment.

Maintenance has a great response time to any issue, complex is clean, and grounds keeping is very well. When snow, all is plowed and salted. Management is great, handles all my issues personally. For the most part quiet apartments....I highly advise getting a second floor unit. Living on the bottom has been amazing. Neighbors stomp feet and you hear every step they take. !!On a positive note again. Management is working with me to let me out of my lease early!!

You will never get your deposit back... They claim you have to give them 45 days notice to move out but will not inform you that your lease is up until you are passed the deadline... they will not send it through the mail because that will have a date of when it was sent so instead they leave it hanging on your door and good luck if you get it... it used to be safe but now lower level apartments are getting robbed in the middle of the day and the best they will do is change your lock. If you dont mind losing your deposit then good luck

They kept everything very clean and the complex felt very safe with paths to walk around in warm weather. Like everywhere in Columbus there were geese roaming around but unlike most complexes the groundskeeper made sure every day that all areas were still clean and that they werent blocking the roads or walkways. The staff here was also absolutely amazing (especially the property manager Aaron). They always worked with you and they were incredibly polite. Whenever we needed maintenance they were there right away and they actually fixed things as opposed to throwing some duct tape on like other places. When we moved out they also didnt try to charge us for anything they possibly could as many places do. I have actually never had a more positive move-out experience. Even when we werent their customers anymore they still treated us with kindness and respect. The only reason I moved was because we needed more room, otherwise I never would have left.

The complex is beautiful pulling in. Honestly they should hold the tenats accountable for their pets poop all over the grass! Its a really big issue.

Having lived here for over a year, we are now subject to the month to month fee. I have never heard of anything so stupid in my life. Parking is terrible. You know what i like when I come home from a 12 hour shift, walking 2 blocks from my car to my front door. The office staff has changed 3 times in 15 months. I once asked a question, to have it answered incorrectly and the result blamed on me. Every month we have paid the rent on time, every month, but we also have been threatened eviction every month for various reasons. They range from 1) we need you to make a decision to leave or go. Lets kick you out just in case. 2) parking again and 3) make sure you pay your 50 utility bill or we wont accept your rent check.

I took a tour of Fountain Place on a Saturday. Everything seemed great, the representative was friendly and seemed honest, and we liked the general atmosphere. Just to be sure it was as good as it seemed, we walked around and talked to a current resident to see how they liked living there; the one man we talked with had good things to say about it, and the online reviews werent awful, so it seemed like a good choice.I applied for a 2 bedroom unit in December since I was informed that the winter special meant I could get a 2BR for the same price as a 1BR ($650). I was informed by the employee that had given me the tour of the apartment that I had to apply quickly if I wanted to get the last spot available for the winter special. He told me that there were only five spots, and right now four of those spots were taken. I applied ASAP, and got verbal confirmation from him on the phone that I was the fifth applicant and that if my background check came through I would get the winter special. I had to pay an application fee of $49 and a holding fee of $100, in addition to filling out a lengthy online application.I left the country for vacation for three weeks and informed Fountain Place that I would only have sporadic access to my e-mail while I was away, no phone, and they agreed to contact me via e-mail. It took weeks to hear back about my application (apparently they had called and left me voicemails), and they kept saying they needed more extraneous information about my rental history. I provided everything they asked for. Finally, after a month of waiting to hear back on the status of my application, they informed me that I had been approved for the apartment, with a security deposit equal to my first months rent.So that will be $650, then I said.No. Responded the manager in a bitter, unfriendly voice, That will be $735.I was confused, since I had gotten the winter special, and when I inquired about that, they informed me that I had not gotten the winter special, that I had somehow misunderstood when the representative had told me that some other guy had gotten the fifth slot and that if he didnt get it for some reason, THEN I would get the winter special. Excuse me, why would I ever pay you $149 if that is what you had told me?! I did not. They offered me one month free of rent and told me that it was Practically the same thing.I did not appreciate their lying or dishonesty and refused to do business with them. They apologized for MY misunderstanding, and refused to refund either my application fee or my holding fee. I will never do business with them and would recommend that someone looking for an honest landlord look at Roundtree Rentals. They have been fabulous, and the rent is FAR more reasonable. Stay away from those trying to take advantage of you in a difficult situation.

Ive lived here seven months. On the whole, I like it a lot. Maintenance is very responsive and takes care of most requests within 24 hours. The manager and staff are pretty great, too. We were told up front they dont do month-to-month leases. Its 12 months minimum or nothing. I like having a garage. Personally, I think the area is pretty quiet, but thats relative to 12 years in Chicago. On the other hand, Im partially deaf, but even I can hear the trains as they pass through this area. Ive never had an issue with parking. My immediate neighbors seem like awesome people. But here are the drawbacks:1. The area surrounding the adjacent complexes is not pedestrian- or bike-friendly.2. The corporation that owns Fountain Place doesnt offer a grace period. If you pay on the 2nd, its considered late and they charge you $25.00. I knocked a star off the rating for this. This policy is ridiculous and a bit mean.3. The owners require your electricity account number and you pay separate for your own water (the complex sets up the water account for you with Buckeye Utility). I felt like I was giving up some autonomy with that.4. You either have to take your laundry to a laundromat OR pay to Select Laundry for a washer and dryer rental. There are no laundry facilities onsite. The rental is comparable to taking your laundry to the laundromat, but still. You have to check which person in the front office of Fountain Place recommended the rental. So... it feels a little like a scam.5. Apartments dont offer porches or balconies.Keep in mind these policies arent the fault of the people on the ground.EDIT TO ADD: One thing I think the management could do a better job at is proactively letting residents know when recycling will be picked up on weeks when a holiday falls on a Monday.
