Appointment was made for the day right after I called, which seemed really quick! Then I got a call to let me know they were on their way 2 hours early. They were able to make it out to me next day despite being incredibly busy. The only thing that would have made it better is if they could have told me before they came that it was unlikely that they would be able to get my pipes thawed and what it would cost if they tried bc then I would not have had them come out. Donald was readily available in the evening after hours when I needed him, he was very courteous and friendly when he was at my house, and the prices were reasonable. He even took a business card coupon that I had. I had called another plumber who was highly recommended before I called Mr. Rooter and that plumber was not available for emergencies that night. I went with Mr. Rooter and was very happy with my service. He had to clean out a clog in my main line and then ran a diagnostic camera to show me the roots growing into the line and used a metal detector (in combination with his camera) to find the problem pipe areas in the yard. He was at my house for two hours, didn’t leave until after midnight, and never once made me feel like we were putting him out or annoying him for keeping him there so late. He even stayed to give us an estimate to repair the pipes in the yard. Highly recommended!

Unclogged the drain- very professional but friendly..

So I called on Friday with a floor drain issue at a rental property. They can’t be out until Monday at 10:30. They called on Monday and said they were running behind. Because I didn’t answer the phone they decided not to come out. When I called later that day they explained to me what happened and then wanted to reschedule me for Wednesday.Sorry I’ve been using you for a number of years and this is the best service you can provide? Was very satisfied on first 2 jobs. The third time I used him he had this special program he used for pricing. Charged 1838.81 to replace. Water heater . checked with home depot they would have done it for almost half this price. Be careful rooster plumbing has completely changed pricing. System. Totally out of line.

The technician was quick to respond at 11pm when I made the first call. He was kind and caring of our situation. He arrived a bit early and immediately took care of the situation (rooted our mainline sewer pipe. His camera malfunctioned so he returned the next day at the pre-determined time and used a different camera. He showed me the problem and gave me an idea of cost to repair. I called them on New Year’s Day expecting to be charge an extremely amount of money for it being an emergency call. They didn’t charge any extra money and were extremely pleasant for the circumstance. I called them at 2:30 (the man who answered the phone was so polite and helpful) and someone was at my house by 3:00. Lance came into the house looked at the problem and had our main house drain cleaned out, cleaned the mess up like he wasn’t even here, gave me my invoice and was gone by 3:30. When I called and found out they were based in Columbia I was afraid of a huge trip charge. They had a plumbing tech come out within a hour of my call, he did a great job. Knocked holes in the walls to the basement. Told us that the sewer line had collapsed and would cost $4500 plus to fix. THEY NEVER OPENED THE MANHOLE COVER IN THE YARD! Bottom line: we were charged $300 to have our property damaged, be stressed about a huge bill, and brushed off when we called to complain.WALLACE PLUMBING sent the DRAINCLEANER to video the line for a second opinion on the repair. Lifted that manhole and IT WAS A CITY ISSUE NOT OURS!At least Mr. Rooter only robbed us for three hundred cash and some plaster work not the full $5000 plus they were after.

Lance gave an estimate to do the gas line installation the day before he did the work.He arrived at our home at the time he said he would be here and did the work quickly. His work was done very well and the bill was as estimated.We are very pleased with how Mr. Rooter installed the line.

Yes, work was well done, appointment was well kept, people very polite, etc, etc, but cost shocked me. We have a sewer cleanout in our front yard, super easy to get to, electrical outlet nearby, 30 minutes for setup and to unplug without complications, then peek with a camera for 1 minute, talk to me about it for another minute, total cost $230 was unexpectedly steep. I understand plumbers rates are approaching those of dentists and you dont want to anger the person who unblocks your sewer, but this surprised me.

Amazing service. Had Chris as our technician. He was polite and very friendly, and very good about dealing with the insurance company who was giving all of us a hard time. He had to come back the next day because of the insurance company taking so long, and he showed up right on time ready to work and just as happy and polite as the day before. I had some shower issues and as a result had some of my family try to help me fix the problem. In doing this, the situation became worse, so I then googled and seen Mr. Rooter. This problem occurred on Easter Sunday and I knew that no one would be able to help us out. Mr Rooter works on any day and even on holidays and there is no monetary difference!!! They sent a technician out named Lance. He worked on the problem and realized that we needed a part that and said he would search for it. The following day he called and told me where I could get the part, so I proceeded to get the part. When it arrived he came as promised and fixed the problem!!!!! No one likes needing a service like Mr. Rooter, but if you ever need help theyre the ones Id call. I called around a few places, and I felt that their prices were much more reasonable as well.The office kept us informed of when the technician was en route to our house, and let us know again when rain would delay our dig a day. I appreciated the updates and communication.The technician who handled our work - Chris - is probably the hardest working dude Ive ever met. I got tired just watching him work. We had to have a section of our sewer line replaced and though the job kept getting more and more complicated with every turn, he worked like a dog in mud and filth for 13 straight hours to make sure we were fixed up. Toward the end of the job when he was filling in the two GIANT holes he dug by hand, I kept telling him to just forget about it and I would deal with the holes later, but he was insistent that he finish the job he started.

Outstanding Service! The service specialist was quick with fixing my two toilets, a problem that the previous repairman from another company had said was coming from my drain pipes and was unable to fix. Lance explained the true source of the problem was my toilets, and fixed both in under 45 minutes!

While Mr. Rooters technician repaired our water heater which needed a hot surface igniter, the total price for one hour labor was astronomical. The part can be purchased for $45, but the total cost of the replacement was $260 including the part. Thats $215 per hour for labor. YIKES! Wont use them again.

For several years weve had on-and-off problems with sewer backups on one side of our house, whenever we have a guest in the guest room and using the bathroom on that side of the house. Other companies would roto-root to solve the immediate problem, but never managed to really solve it all the way. Brock from Mr. Rooter told us his suspicion that the problem lay with our Orangeburg pipes that made up the sewer connectors from our house out some distance, and he found where a choke point was. He dug up the pipe and found it literally falling apart. He replaced it with PVC, all 30 feet from our house to a connector further out from the house, where it joints with a clay sewer. He installed two vertical sewer cleanup pipes and explained to us how each one curves in a different direction, so that a plumber dealing with any blockage in the future will know which way the rooter tool is pointing. He also answered several questions of mine about other plumbing matters, that he probably thought were really stupid, without a trace of condescension. He took time to educate my husband and me, who know very little about plumbing.Brock from Mr. Rooter was:1) Prompt and quick to get our problem solved, even when the city had to get involved due to the digging in our yard2) Polite and informative - did not get impatient or talk down to us, but explained what was happening in an easy-to-understand manner. Good at communicating when decision points were reached; did not leave us hanging.3) Knowledgeable about local conditions, common pipe and sewer issues in houses of our age, and about things that are usually NOT problems. Knowledgeable about code requirements for both Columbia and Jefferson City.4) Effective at solving our nagging, ongoing problem once and for all.5) Neat. Even after jackhammering and digging in our backyard, the place did not look torn up at all, and of course there was no trace of our old, disintegrated sewer pipes by the time we got home from work that same day.6) A good advocate for us with our insurance company, which keeps telling us that to get better insurance Missouri law supposedly requires us to update all our plumbing in order to get good insurance. Brock (as well as other contractors weve spoken with) thinks this law is nonsense, and he is doggedly pursuing the question with our insurance company.I like that Mr. Rooter uses a book laying out the charges for each job by the job, not charging surcharges for night or weekend work or even charging by the hour. I dont know what others would charge for the same work we had done, so I cant judge whether the $2300 we paid for the cleaning, digging and replacing was high or low, but to us, the work was absolutely worth it because it gave us what we think will be a real and lasting solution. We will certainly call on Mr. Rooter again and recommend the company to others.

Update 11/2020: EVERYTIME I use Mr Rooter, I get excellent and timely service. If I could give 6 stars, I would.Both times Ive used Mr Rooter has been excellent at solving the problems in a timely and costly manner.

The technician (Jimmie) was very prompt and polite and took care of our dripping faucet. However, the service was EXTREMELY overpriced. $240 for 45 minutes of work and very few parts.

The individuals making appointments need to be aware that the technicians cant work on Culligan water softeners. I mentioned I had a Culligan when making the appointment and it wasted my time and the technicians when I found out he could not work on it..

Mr. Rooter has been our plumbing service since we moved to our home in February 2014. The do excellent work and are very professional and very knowledgeable.
