I have a 22 year old little truck that I enjoy taking proper care of. I replaced (on my own) the inner/outer tie rods, ball joints, upper control arms complete including ball joints, lower control arm ball joints, near everything with the front end. At dropoff the individual didnt simply accept my keys and send me on my way, he asked me questions as to why I was getting an alignment. When I picked up my truck the front desk individual explained as a common practice they will dbl check customer DIY work. Well, it was discovered that I had not tightened a nut well enough. They torqued the nut to proper specification and let me know, all this with no added cost. Truly appreciate the extra care and insight provided by this shop. My pup and I will now travel with a greater sense of security.

Quick service and very communicative. Didn’t charge extra for my tire install even though I had TPMS sensors that most shops would charge more for. Will definitely use in the future for auto repair needs. Also used the goodyear online ordering system to order and pay for new tires ahead of time which was great.

Picked up my girlfriends car after an oil change with a free oil change coupon. Was told I had to pay the difference which was $25. Don’t issue free coupon if it isn’t free. She’s had the car in before with the coupon and it was free. Why was this time different. She didn’t authorize you to use “synthetic” oil either so there should not have been an up charge.

They didn’t fix my a/c the first time .. I had to come back!! I was charged a lot of money the second time! If I had’ve known it would be that much In the first place I would have gotten my insurance involved then I i stead I payed out of pocket for something I could had done for nothing!! Plus my insurance rates went up!! What they did was non refundable!! Not my fault you didn’t find the problem the first time!! Yeah I’m a woman but I’m not STUPID!!

We had to have our tire repaired and tried Heartland Tire. We were greeted by Lyle and Adam. They were very kind and helpful. Adam was kind enough to explain the dangers of fix a flat to me and my daughter. Didn’t use my coupon and charged me full price. Shoulda been $20. When I checked my bank statement it was $35! Sketchy auto mechanic. Avoid. I called to have them make it right, and they called me a liar. Terrible customer service. Cheap shop. I wouldn’t send my grandmother there.

So, I proactively sought a second opinion which was a total savings of $900.00 (75% less than the other quote).Lets start with the entire experience was different than Ive ever had at any auto shop, it was friendly. Adam was gracious to have my business and offered some recommendations for services and provided quotes for these items for consideration in the near future. He even offered a courtesy car if I needed one in the interim. This has been the place I’ve taken my car for years. They have some great deals for oil changes with a Black Friday sale, and they are honest people. I once took my car in because my low tire pressure gauge was on. They filled my tires, told me it was just the cooler weather, and gave me a tire pressure checker all free! Very friendly, dependable, and loyal!

For those of you looking for a great auto mechanic, you need to try out Heartland Tire (formerly Galaxy Auto) in Fridley and Spring Lake Park in MN. My check engine light has been on in my Ford Edge for the last five years. I took my Edge to two different Ford dealers and they could not figure out why the light was on. I took my Edge to Heartland Tire (formerly Galaxy Auto) and they not only figured out why my check engine light was on and fixed it, they also fixed my sunroof that I was not able to open for the last year. Adam and Scott at the Fridley and Dave at the Spring Lake Park location rock and know how to treat you. So if you want out standing mechanics and customer service you need to go to them.

Galaxy on University has been my mechanic ever since I screwed up a brake job, and they had every opportunity to empty my pocketbook. They didnt, and the store manager sat on the waiting room floor and reassembled my brake caliper for me, for free.Since then theyve been honest about the work that does (and does not) need to be done. They dont push needless work onto customers: no nitrogen fill for the tires, trans fluid changes only when necessary, oil changes per manufacturer, etc.As for the brake review, no mechanic will vouch for brake wear. No car & driver combination goes through brakes at the same rate. Its a function of use, not of mileage. Brakes eventually need to be replaced, and it sounds like the other reviewer was looking for a favorable result that would make him money.

I recently moved to Fridley and was in search of a good auto body shop. I received a flyer in the mail and gave them a call to set up an oil change. I went in and their shop is very clean and even smells good too, lol. The wait was not long at all compared to the other auto body shops Ive been to. Heres the thing, I have been to someone previous and wasnt informed of the detailed issues that heartland provided me with. Im glad they did too, because I would have received a couple of big tickets if not addressed ASAP. The knowledge of the mechanics here are up to date and helpful to folks like myself who have very little knowledge on how to fix a vehicle, lol. Since then, I have brought in my girlfriends vehicle as well for brake replacement. Like I said, very knowledgeable and detailed in explaining any issues. I plan on making heartland my auto body shop to go too. Thank you guys! Adam, your the man!
