They are always 100% honest about what actually needs to be fixed & the work done is completely sound with no further issues. If you ask them they will also make a list for you of needed repairs complete with total cost which is extremely helpful to keep track of what needs to be done. They wont try to pull one over on you with unnecessary repairs plus their prices are not only phenomenal with no hidden or surprise charges/fees but also the prices for any repairs are the best Ive found in the entire Metro area! I just give up from great service to left in the dark. Whats up.? I got a great job when Trish bid and the job got done. Bill I paid $560 for pads and rotors on a Chevy Traverse. No calipers at all. I get single disc rotors not vented ,the cheapest brake and equipment carry . About $160 ,four rotors and pads. $400 labor really. Most shops $100 per axel. I dont ever want Bill near any vehicle. Inconsistency on work . It makes you crazy.

Wouldnt recommend it for anyone, they replaced my brake lines on my truck, they told me they it comes in a kit that includes all brake lines on the truck which wasnt true, they didnt remove the old lines from inside the frame, ran the new lines outside the frame with a zip tie, some line were rubbing against the frame which I dont think it will last long, for $ 900.00 I think they did a poor job, I also was inquiring about replacing my muffler and the lady store manager got so upset because I was asking questions about what Im getting, I will not recommend this place to anyone.

They said $80 and then have me come back the next day just to tell me that its going to be double just because they didnt understand that they had to make new hangers even though the stock ones work fine so i ended up leaving and going to another shopi am fully capable of doing these things myself i just dont have the time anymore, or tools for these tasks

I showed up at 7:30am on a Saturday for an oil change and was the third one through the door. I had always thought that it was a first come, first served place because they dont take appointments. I was told I had to leave the car with them because their first priority is not an oil change. So I said I would go somewhere else.Look, I get that an oil change is probably a loss leader at a place like this but Ive spent more than $2500 on my three vehicles there in the past year or so. Maybe if the guy had said Ive only got two mechanics today and we wont get to it for a while I couldve understood that, even if that were entirely a lie. Next time, tell your customers a lie and dont make them find another place to get work done. I wont be back.

I really appreciated that I was shown the issues that my vehicle had in its exhaust system. The service was reasonably priced and very fast. I also liked that they have been under the same ownership for 30 years... A shop in my community. The waiting space was small, but there was a pot of coffee available and sunshine coming through the windows You dont need a big comfy waiting area when you dont have to wait very long!

My second time with auto zone and as always, I’m so impressed! They always go above and beyond to be helpful - in this case, even when I’m not paying them! This time, I was in to check a battery they’d given me. I suspected the battery wasn’t the problem but since it was under warranty I wanted to check it before I spent money elsewhere. Not only did they check it right away, they didn’t charge me for checking even though it turned out that the battery was fine, AND Tricia offered to drive it to the auto repair place across the street if they did the kind of service I needed (they don’t do electrical at Automax). In addition to that, she was beyond helpful with advice about how I could deal with my car’s problem *without* necessarily needing to pay for repair! And when I came to pick my car up, she ran right out to greet me with my car key. I will definitely be back when I have a problem that requires me to spend money, since they were this helpful when I wasn’t spending any! Thank you, Tricia and Automax.

I thought they were good at telling me about an issue with my motor mount after oil change but my interior was dirty on the top when they finished. I was disappointed. I was able to scrub it out

My truck now has a drone sound. After having the exhaust redone. So I went back for recommendations. All the lady behind counter wanted to do is argue with me. Was unwilling to work with me. She said if any additional work, I would be changed. She treated me like I was stupid. Didn’t have a drone noise before. But does now after they worked on it. So much for there guarantee. 👎 Never going back there!

Was diagnosed quickly and the woman at the front desk was up front with price and didnt talk down to me.They found another problem as they got into the job, but got it fixed in a timely manner and the car is running better than it has in some time. This place has great service for great prices went here to get a new muffler put on my car and it was only $120 thats pretty cheap and I was looking at there other prices for service and an alignment for a small car like mine was between $60 to $70 other shops where I live want $90 and up.

The manager lady was rude to my lady talking I came back to see what the problem is I paid my money she said $59 to my girl I got there $38 I told her she could keep the $40 she threw $2 back at me me and girl are black it seems racial she didnt speak with none of the white customers these behavior is unacceptable

I cannot speak for anyone except myself, but I love this place. I received an estimate from my local shop near my house from CarX and estimate for brake pads for front/rear for labor/installation was $360.00. At Automax, they replaced all of the pads in front/rear for $210, including grinding the rotors. This place is super cheap! Great mechanic and showed me the brakes. Tricia was professional, pleasant,and she is very matter-of-fact. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars. Very satisfied.

Dont waste your time. The coupons on their web page are tricks to get you get you in. There is a $30 service charge to look at it, then of course they tell you have issues with your break system. Rear cylinder for drums cost $30 for my car at auto zone and they are charging $110 for each. Total cost to fix was about $400. I told then no, thats to much. They came back and best they can do is now $260. Big discount from the first price. Scammers. Told them ill fix it myself and just paid the service charge.

This is a very bad, actually the worst, place and they are not honest at all. PLEASE DO NOT GO! AVOID IT IF YOU Can! You will thank me later! Their service quality is very very poor too.Below is my real experience. The old man working there told me the estimate of a brake work is $25, a few minutes later the lady in the front desk said the estimate is $30. They also lied to you over the phone to hook you up and said the pads replacement is $99 but Hide the $30 estimate fee intentionally! And I end up to pay for over $800 on the work because they did a lot of unnecessary extra work and try to make money from you!They said pads is life warranty, but did it tell you the truth: just hook you up and then you end up pay much much more for pads replacement....They can cheat me once, but never twice

I appreciate the time that the staff took to look at my car and gave it a little fix. I came in for an estimate, which is unpaid for a lot of businesses. They kindly inspected the car, told me whats wrong and how to fix it. Unfortunately I have to go to the dealer to get it fixed, but the guy temperately stopped the problem. Just want to say thank you for an extra step this company takes.

Awesome experience! I called for a quote on a brake job, they were the cheapest out of 6 places, in some cases by a few hundred dollars. I got in same day ( first come first serve). When I walked in all I said was I called earlier and she knew who I was, why I called and what I needed. She was still helping another customer, but took my keys back immediately to get the guys working on my car. Very nice, great service, great price, I will be back for all my repair needs!

Muffler was placed incorrectly... in several days after placement discovered muffler was overly leaking... when car was brought back they caused a gas leak and claimed they couldnt fix it... had to get car towed home and they are no in way helpful or accepting responsibility.

Before I rant and bash any company I do have proper proof to back my accusations. I met with Bill,to get a water pump put on. 98 dodge Durango. 360 engine, no check engine,NO ISSUES IN 2020!! Simple job.. I know! I was rushing didnt have time to do it myself and it had to be done! And I just didnt pick any ol shop. Ive dealt here before and had AMAZING turnout. So I was comfortable from my last experience. Moving Forward. Get home and almost immediately, I get a call from Bill stating,I have a HUGE hole in my radiator .Which is impossible, because I drove it to you WITH NO TEMPETURE ISSUES! FROM ST.PAUL TO COLUMBIA HEIGHTS. 2nd call now its diagnosed as officially a radiator issue. I get to Auto Max.. ITS ANTIFREEZE LITERALLY ALL ACROSS THE PARKING LOT! I let my hood up,physically looked at my radiator and you can SEEEEEE,where whoever tried to cheat and remove the water pump,BEFORE THE RADIATOR. You could see a water pump MOLD in my radiator!AN IT CAN BE DONE LIKE THAT BUT ITS NOT THE RIGHT WAY.. IM A PAYING CUSTOMER AN IM BUYING QUALITY ASSURANCE.!! So Im LIVID,on the inside. BUT professional on the OUT until I wasnt receiving the same treatment, as if the services received were a given! Go to my truck get the receipt of the radiator less than a week old,and demanded a brand new one amongst other choice words. And I was met with more garbage from Bill. ONLY TILL THE POINT I ASKED FOR THE OWERS TO BE CALLED,I GOT RESULTS. An the issue is already long enough.. BUT, Called to speak with the owner the next day an was THREATENED with POLICE ACTION. Kid you not! All I have in my corner to make me not seem to be the bad guy trying tomake this company look bad IS AUDIO AND VIDEO! DERRICK OJ

These guys are THE BEST!!! I went to have my muffler replaced as it fell off my vehicle after work and stopped at one of those high end muffler shop Midas and they wanted $750 up front. Needless to say as a single parent I could not afford that. I proceeded to ask that they at least pull up the muffler/wire hanger and they refused service so I drove home....draggin my system loudly and thankfully. These guys, THESE guys replaced EVERYthing for less than half the cost!!!! And thats NOT all!! When they did my brakes/pads; I had consruction in my area. Just after they replaced my brakes I was taking my kids and their friends up to Duluth. We all know thats a bit of a long drive. In any case we just made it out of town perhaps 20 minits on 35 and my left wheel was stuttering. Pulled over at a nearby gas station and the wheelwell was HOT. I knew I should NOT proceed and went directly back to the shop. The crew immediately investigated my issue and it was discovered a rock had imbedded itself in my front wheel well and I knew this be true because of road onstruction happening in my are at the time. They quickly took EVERYTHING apart; re-checked their work and Voila! Stone was found in the roter cup. They removed it within an hour and when I said how much do I owe you they said....NOTHING! They were just as worried as I about the safety and security of the children (my own included) I was transporting. Lovely!!! YOU GUYS A.R.E. T.H.E. B.E.S.T.!!!!!!! I appreciat YOU!!!

I am very disappointed in the non service that I received. I work for Lyft and needed somewhere Lyft and family friendly. I already know that the way I was treated was based on race, and out of anger due to her financial woes of not having customers.I drove all the way from Plymouth just so that I would be turned away and called unruly. There was never any unruliness, I just asked for the woman to verify what type of services that her shop was going to do. I was there for brakes. She basically told me that she was not going to service me at all, and for me to leave after I asked her that question. Precision Auto Care in Plymouth is expensive but at least they are honest mechanics.Be upfront and honest about costs, baiting and switching is illegal in Minnesota, dont market a product that you cant or wont stand by. When youre a commercialized business with a license, you are not private establishment...Based on how I was treated with no effort of customer service, I do not support this business at all, unless you are Caucasian? Its obvious ..

I stopped by Auto Max on my way to work at their 8:00am opening time, hoping that they could get me a quick exhaust repair estimate. The mechanic immediately put my car up on a lift and showed me the problem - bad resonator and rusted-off pipe connection. He quoted a very reasonable price for the repair and said he could start the work right away. I then asked the price for a coolant flush and fill, and added that work to the list. The work was quickly finished and I was out the door by 8:45am. Very happy with the process, and lack of upselling. I will return in the future.

Hey, folks The people at Auto Max Columbia Heights provide the best auto repair service at the lowest prices in town. If you dont agree you are seriously uninformed, I have been going there for close to five years with two different cars and have only had the most positive experience.

Ive had these guys replace a bad hub for way less than anyone else was able to quote me at. They guarantee their work and theyve even given me a free diagnostic where other places have charged $80+. Great place! Fast service!

This place is very unprofessional and the people there are lazy and doesnt know much about vehicles. Theres a lady there by the name of Trish very unprofessional when I arrived Saturday morning just to replace my summer tires for my winter tires. I explain that my hub caps can be screwed on to the rim but no she insisted I was wrong and she was right She became belligerent and also she Became more aggressive and telling me that I was wrong and I dont know anything about cars that shes an expert so I decide to call the police and the end result is I will never do business with Automaxx in Columbia Height, MN ever again and I advise you guys to be aware and do not deal with the lady name Trish.

My experience was totally negative. I had a sales person named Paul . He called me when I was at church. When I explained where I was he insisted on talking that second. Then wondered why I was short with him. Suggesting he did not understand what happens in a church. I was at a garage a week before. Paul said I needed multiple things that were not required the week before. Then when I balked Paul said then just come pick up your vehicle . What, get bent over or nothing? I talked to the next service rep and she said we suggest the best way to do a job then back off. So unless you know your vehicle real well you will get sold services not needed is my opinion of Auto Max. Then, this might be petty but Paul kept saying OK after every statement . I mean EVERY sentence. OK, Ok, ok It really makes you question his abilities. Yet he is a mgr., supposedly
