Unreliable!I needed a new FOB and key for my car. I went here because Ive had other keys made here with no problems.They didnt have the FOB and key for my car, but said they could order it. The employee took down my information and said the manager would order the FOB.I received a call about a week later to verify my information, and they said they would order the FOB and call me when it came in.Its over a month later and I havent heard, so I went into the store to check. They couldnt even find a record of my order!Unreliable!UPDATE:Im bumping this review up to 5 stars because of the rapid and completely satisfactory resolution of this issue by Ace Hardware.Within a few hours of writing this review, I received a call from the store manager saying he found my paperwork, the FOB, and to come in to have the key cut and FOB programmed. I now have a working key and FOB!All businesses have things that occasionally go wrong. A sign of a great customer-focused business is how they resolve issues when things go wrong. Ace showed they are a great customer-focused business in the resolution of my problem!

Mark helped me yesterday with three items I needed. He had experienced advice and recommendations for the specific product that would be best for my situation. That kind of customer service is why I like local stores. Very grateful.

I live on the east side of Colorado Springs and I will drive to the west side to the Ace Hardware on Uintah from now on. They are the most consumer friendly store I have ever worked with. I had a problem with a gift from an Ace Hardware out of state. They completely welcomed me without delay or lengthy explanations. They said no problem at all just bring it in and we will make it right for you! They most certainly did that and more. Uintah is my go to Ace hardware store. They are CONSUMER friendly!

Fantastic Experience!I walked in, in my workout clothes, on Saturday and was immediately greeted and assisted by Adam. Cant tell how many times I have been in Lowes for example - even in dress clothes - and am ignored. Clerks will pass me by and go up to the man just down the aisle from me, not knowing he is my boyfriend, and ask if HE needs assistance. That happened twice at Lowes!So, being greeted, especially in workout clothes, is 1st positive.Told Adam I am actually a vendor, and would like to speak to the person in charge. This is where Adam could have blown me off. But he did not. He called Travis, the manager, and re-iterated with accurate detail, rare and impressive, what I said to him.Travis said, absolutely, and came out to greet me.WOW. That was INCREDIBLE.Also spoke to Kyle who was very friendly and helpful about Key Fobs, then checked out by Tara who was again very friendly.I have shopped in this store before, always a positive experience.Another time I have always remembered, and I wish I remembered the clerks name - He was extremely helpful on ensuring I was getting the proper furnace filters given I had 3 dogs and was on a budget. I remember they didnt have enough in stock, I need 2 filters at a time for my furnace, so he helped me with a second filter and gave me a coupon.Thank you so much.

Huge Thank You to Ace!!! Over the night I had frozen pipes and was waiting at the door when they opened up so I could get some help on what to do to hopefully get my water going again. Sean was a huge help and got me everything I needed. Thanks again for taking the time and making my Valentines Day not so bad and hopefully I can make my wife happy again...;)

I will NEVER EVER walk into this store again. I’ve been here a lot and purchased a lot of items here. It’s -4 degrees outside. I get there right when they open at 9:00am sharp. Front door is open. I will say again- the door is OPEN. I walk in and some old man gives me attitude and tells me it’s not 9 yet. He looks at his watch, and I can see his watch, and it shows 9 on the dot. But he says it’s not 9 and here comes the cashier who says in a snotty tone, “I show 1min to 9” So I walk out and wait outside in the freezing cold. After 5 minutes an employee throws a cigarette where I’m standing and walks in without a mask. They never say anything to let anyone in after I’m out there way after 9am in the freezing cold. There are better places to go. Avoid this store!!

I really like this hardware store! They have an amazing selection! Their customer service is fantastic! They make fresh popcorn for customers to eat, while they shop!They made keys for my Subaru Outback! Their key making department is amazing! They have so many choices and can make keys for cars, houses, etc! They make the keys to the newer cars with the electronic buttons and the prices are much better than the dealership!They didn’t carry the key to my car, so they special ordered it! Julie was so friendly and worked to ensure that the key worked perfectly, she checked it and then double checked it! Travis helped, when my car decided to be fussy! I left a very happy customer! Thank You, Julie and Travis! 😁They have hard to find cleaning supplies! They carry all the nuts and bolts, nails, etc. They have cabinet pulls. They carry plumbing and electrical supplies. They carry stuff for the garden and everything to winterize your home! They carry Yankee Candle products. They have cooking supplies.If you can’t find something, ask! If they don’t have it, they can probably order it!You must really come in and look around! This is the hardware store of years ago, you will not go for minutes after minutes without seeing an employee. This is the friendly Ace Hardware Store that you went to years ago, with all the advantages of modern check outs and rapid special orders.

I used to be a trainer in providing legendary Customer Service for North America. So I know good customer service when I see it, which sadly is not very often.Travis, the store manager at the Uintah Gardens location is an example of providing Customer Service that quite frankly excels any of the other Ace hardware stores that is owned by Kirby & Nick Kuklenski.To begin with, he answered the phone within two rings, as you should and most don’t. He answered with a happy, upbeat tone of voice but not fast and rushed which communicates a level of being inconvenienced and a spirit of “what do you want… I don’t have time for this“.Next, he PHYSICALLY confirmed that he had the last available item in stock I was looking for that the Ace store closest to me did not have in their inventory. As a matter of fact, they were not even able to give me the phone number for the Uintah store, nor offered to look it up. That was after I had to ask the store to look up in their store network to see if anybody else had this item. I had to ask. (A potential loss in revenue BTW. Store associates should always be trained to cross sell.)Next, I explained that I was attempting to place the order online to do a curbside pick up because I have massive spinal nerve damage, but The coupon I wanted to use was for in-store purchase only. Travis expressed empathy and had an immediate solution. He could place the order for me at the store and enter in the coupon number manually.Then I explained to Travis that my $5 dollar ace rewards credit was no longer available to me due to a botched online curbside order and after contacting Customer Service (who were not empowered to provide the very name of their department) gave me a coupon code number to correct the error. He tried to enter it and it didn’t work – shocker! But no problem for Travis, he had handy a five dollar coupon code that he could use and completed the order.Lastly, he Let me know that he understood my physical limitations and to call the store when I arrived and any store associate would be happy to bring it out to me. Wow!Dear owners: Whatever Travis is being paid is not enough. He should be training other managers and how to provide exemplary customer service because I guarantee you they are nothing like Travis, especially the store nearest me.You are not receiving this kind of candid feedback most likely because you, among other reasons, are not employing the invaluable feedback of mystery shoppers. If you don’t want to participate in a full blown program, I would be a good candidate to help you with that because I know what I’m looking for. I’m not looking for money, I would do it pro bono just to get your stores up to speed like Travis’s since I deal with your local Ace stores frequently.Nevertheless, this is not about me this is about Travis. He is shockingly good and I’m sure you know dear owners what a gem you have in him. The staff at this store are awesome! I recently had a problem with an item I ordered online for store pickup that came with missing parts. They went out of their way to make the situation right for me, at their own expense. This is good customer service and will keep me coming back.

At Ace Hardware this morning. All employees wearing masks and gloves per gov.s order. My goal was to get parts to repair a table lamp. Quinn, a store employee, not only helped find the correct parts but did modifications so that it would easily go together when I got home. Par for the course at this hardware store. Helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, employees and a can do attitude. High five to Quinn and to Ace Uintah Gardens!!!

Surprised to see so many good reviews. I will admit, the men in the paint department are helpful... but the employees cant even tell the difference between a reverse threaded and regular threaded screw. arent very helpful. never know where anything is and cant give you any sort of educated advice or suggestion on anything hardware related. The manager has worked there 12 years, and she is actually pretty cool and seems like she knows whats going on. just wonder why for the 20 years Ive lived in springs this ace has always been the worst hardware store in town.

Wow! Lived here my whole life & Im in my 50s, & disabled.... walked in yesterday to look for gloves & shelving as I was looking for items walked by 6 workers standing around not one asked if I could help you find something but they helped 2 other people asking them if they could help, they were white I was of color totally shocked being living here for so long ! Disgusted

They say on there website that they are a lawn mower repair shop and when you call they say that they dont do repair. So why have it on there website

Mac who works here was very helpful. He greeted us as we came in and helped us find what we needed right away! They also have coffee and popcorn ready for you to enjoy while you shop which I enjoy.

We all know that matching paint can be a huge hassle but Jason with the long beard helped me match several paint samples and was patient and pleasant to work with. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a hardware store! Highly recommend this place.

Cool they give you $5 for downloading the App but you cant use it on anything at the store.

This Ace is hands down the best in town. I wont go into details but the service is above and beyond. The employees here make sure that youre more than taken care of and they do it without asking. They just take care of you.

My first time going in here was excellent. Right from when I walked in the door every employee I saw or that saw me said hi, welcomed me to the store and asked if I needed help. The first person I was walking by asked what I was looking for and then walked me over to that aisle. Then before I left I was tinkering around looking for neat stuff and 2 other employees that I passed offered their help, we had friendly conversation and laughed. The cashier lady was so nice too. I will definitely be back. What a great experience.

This Ace is so convenient to my home, and being in the middle of several projects, I stop in frequently. But after several terrible customer service experiences with Deb, I will find another hardware store. Deb is one of the rudest cashiers I have had the displeasure of having to work it. Today was the last straw. I was purchasing an item that had a large sale sign in front of it. When it didn’t ring for that price, she told me I grabbed the wrong product. She refused to go look at the sign and when I went to go take a picture of it, Sean, another employee, told me that was the correct item but an old sale sign. Since they had forgotten to take the sign down, he would still honor the price on the sign. He then told her that it was the correct item and to give me the sale price. When I got back to the register, Deb again proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and had the wrong product but for whatever reason Sean decided to honor the price.It is not the customers fault that an old sale sign was left up. It is not right that I had my head bit off because Deb was too tired to go look at the sign herself and then again because she didn’t agree with me getting the sale price on the item.On a side note, the other staff have all been helpful and friendly. I really hope you can figure the Deb situation out.

Recently purchased a scooter for my broken leg. The bolt holding the steering mechanism got lost. The attendants here went out of their way to assist me. Ive never had such great customer service. This store is amazing!

I can go to almost any Ace and find the most difficult items from grommets to buckle to a pot or a plant they will have it. Theyre prices are a little high sometimes but they aim to satisfy in customer satisfaction.

Excellent service and selection. I just wish the ventilator worked better. I am allergic to some chemicals and the smell of fertilizer is overpowering in the store.

The store is clean and well organized, but management is incredibly rude (in fact, Id rather drive to the Stetson location than ever step foot here again).I bought an inexpensive tool earlier in the day and, upon arriving home and trying to use it, found it wasnt suited for my needs. My receipt said returns below $50 were accepted, so I went back with the tool, my receipt, and the packaging it came with. I was told that the tool was damaged so it couldnt be returned. When I said it couldnt possibly be damaged because I bought it earlier in the day and I never actually used it, the manager got into a huff and said, Well, we dont take tool returns anyhow! and actually stomped away. I brought the tool to another location and was able to get my $12 back with no problems.

Great group of people at this Ace Hardware the management and ownership take responsibility for any actions Tina is absolutely wonderful every time I go in there I slummed it for a couple of days going to the bon center Ace and will never go back there again after receiving such treatment from their employees and manager as well as the owners obvious lack of consideration to their customers. I drive all the way across town just to go to Uintah Gardens. Every time I request help to my car somebody is always there to do it for me happily it with a smile if I have any questions Im never spoken down to yelled at in a negative tone you went to Gardens you are the way Ace Hardware supposed to be

Our neighborhood go-to Hardware Store, and not just the DIY locals like myself - but contractors who are working on projects on the West side as well and who, like me, hate driving across town to a big box store. Always get Exceptional Customer Service, and the ACE Rewards are really nice perk too. Great place to shop. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Very clean, considering the amount of traffic that passes through everyday. If you are looking for something and cant find it, they will order it and its there in a few days. If its something you really need that day, they arent afraid to send you to the right place to get what you need.

Great place for those items that you just dont find at the big home improvement stores. Friendly people as well, with the exception of one of the female employees, who is always having a bad day. Avoid her and youre good to go.

Went there for a propane refill , they were rude from the start . I brought the tank inside the store. The lady at the front yelled at me said no tanks allowed in store .. I put the tank outside the door and looked around for a sign that said no propane tanks inside. I did not see one .I said there was no sign that states that .She got even more rude and told me it was a federal offense and lectured me . Then the guy who refills the tank came out had a smart ass statement and said well we cant fill up it here so you better move it . Then I said I think it has propane in it still , he grabs it and says you still have propane in here , like I didnt know. Then he hooks it up to fill it up , and it obviously has a leak he argues with me about it then he becomes even more rude and lectures me about line pressure and leaks. I was frustrated by this time and said some choice words then I walk away and left behind the tank they even had the nerve to send out a young employee to watch me like I was going to beat him up .. Wow ... no There staff is extremely rude , they think they know it all . I have been going there for 8 years now I am going to make the extra drive to there circle store just so I can get decent service .This all happened on 05-17-15
