The best choice Ive ever made was joining this family. Mike and Barb are super amazing human beings. Strong as heck, but also very supportive and great coaches. I have nothing but positive things to say about CIES MMA. If you are looking to receive quality training from Instructors who have legitimate credentials, then you definitely need to validate it yourself. It is the only gym in the local area with a Womens only BJJ team! I have really enjoyed the training, the culture of the gym, and the instructors =)

This is the place to be in Colorado Springs for MMA! Coach Mike is a legend and he can teach from experience- the BJJ he teaches isnt just for sport but can be applicable in real life or in the cage. Solid team, solid training partners, lots of classes to get work in, just show up and you will get what you need. Training with Coach Mike, Ive became mentally and physically tough, Ive gotten to push myself and see what Im made of. Anytime I come back to Colorado Springs, Im making a point to train with him and his team!

Where else can you learn from someone with the skill level mike has? And he teaches all the classes, I don’t have to learn from a second rate purple belt, however, the blue belts here are a product of his teaching. All tough tough rolls, I’m glad I stopped in and I will be back to sign up because of this. You shouldn’t look further, mikes the type of person you could be chill with but he’s literally been in a UFC octagon. Best there is hands down

I talked to Barb on the phone and she was very professional, I came in to check out the gym for my daughter and I am very eager to sign her up for the Women’s only membership. I think it’s great they have this option, as my daughter is new to this sport and it will help ease her in. Great people, great environment, and wonderful customer service.

Excited for Fight Team try outs, these guys are monsters on the mats. I watched the fight team train last week and they are killers. They have a great boxing coach working with them alongside mike. Matter of time before these guys make it big

When I first started coming to this gym I had no prior experience. I first decided to join to learn self defense, little did I know that this gym would become my second home/family. Mike, the owner and coach, is one of the coolest, most dedicated coach I have ever met. He is highly respectable and demonstrates an extensive knowledge on BJJ, MMA, etc. He runs a safe, family friendly, and elite team. I fell in love with the sport of BJJ due to the awesome people and environment. I even began competing and did fairly well due to the high level coaching and all of the team members. This gym changed my life. I am forever grateful for all of the experiences and friends that I made while being here. Highly recommend!!

CIES MMA10/10 - Best MMA gym in Colorado.Mike Cies is legit Coach has years of experience underneath his belt, Great quality team through and through, BJJ and MMA.For any experienced fighters , or inexperienced.This is the gym you want to check out.To my own personal experience they treated me like belonged as if I was part of the Family.The gym also offers some of the best quality gear Gi, gloves, shin pads etc.

I appreciate the way this business is handling operations during COVID, yet still welcoming me in to learn something new. They screened me, took my temp and after the waiver was signed guided me through my first jiu jitsu lesson. I’m beyond excited to keep learning. Ive trained and learned from Mike C (Owner of CIES MMA) sporadically over the years, and I anticipate to make a trip down Colorado Springs (from Canada) to spend a couple sessions at CIES MMA while visiting some great outdoor places. This place is an outstanding training facility. It has transformed me from day one. Coach Mike is the real deal. His credentials are super legit. A Sergio Penha black belt and a Miletich Fighting System product black belt. Best place to train in Colorado! Come try out a class and see for yourself.

Started out great. Come to find out total rip off. Paid for a month up front for 2 people and explained I was from out of town. Proceeds to tell me it’s cheaper to sign a contract that can be canceled anytime than to pay without one. So I signed up with both parties knowing I was going to cancel and go home at the end of the month yo AZ. I canceled ahead of leaving town and we were on the same page. The following month to my surprise my account was minus the fee for his gym. I called never to receive a call back. I had to call from another number to get him to answer. I explained what was going on and him keeping his word to cancel. I heard the sob story of his wife leaving him and how she ran the books. I said a deal was a deal. I asked when he could refund my account for his mistake and he proceeds to tell me he couldn’t. Well what a hassle to change my account info and have my bank report the fraud which they did in a heart beat after seeing I paid up front. To this day I still have his gym sending me to the credit agency, adding a monthly fee, and saying now it’s 1600. All while I live in another state and trying to buy a house. This guy is a joke and a fraud. It’s now been months since I left and he has yet to cancel any agreement to get paid. Well I have news for you if your reading this. You won’t get a dime ever in your life. And the credit agency along with the bank reported fraud. Meaning your all talk now and waiting your own time. This isn’t effecting me at all anymore. I will tell everyone and anyone this experience in hopes they too don’t get taken advantage of!

Love this place! Changed my life in positive way when I started coming here. Ive never had any previous experiences in any type of martial arts, but the people here are very helpful in helping me improved from the ground up. To top it off before I started coming to this gym I wasnt able to jog for more than 10 minutes without stopping to get a breather, now after 3 months I can go close to an hour without needing to stop and I lost some of my gut!

Best gym Ive ever been apart of that is saying alot because Ive been in combat sports most of my life and trained prior to training at Ciesmma. From day one everyone welcomed me and my girlfriend with open arms as if we had been training together for years. Our coach Mike Ciesnolevicz has trained with and been apart of the whos who of MMA and Jiu Jitsu. He is the most down to earth coach that doesnt sugar coat anything or sell belts it is earned that is truely rare to see now a days. If you want to get in shape learn self defense I would recommend this gym to anyone women, men, and children. There is no age discrimination CIESMMA excepts anyone willing to learn. When you sign up you are not just signing a contract you are becoming apart of our family. If you do not believe what Im telling you see for yourself.

I cant say enough good things about Mike C. Hes been there, done that, and made a major name for himself with his craft. Yet, with all the things hes accomplished in the MMA and BJJ world, hes still one of the most down to earth and humble dudes youll ever meet.Mike has always been willing to give advice, answer any questions I had while trying to break into the business, and never asked for a thing in return. After my son spending 2.5 years dedicated to Ceis mma I must report mike ceisnolevicz’s highly un-ethical and questionable personality. Believe he will talk negatively about you behind your back. Believe he is politically motivated. Believe he cares more about his self image than any of you or any member he has. He will allow bigger kids to slam and contort your smaller children younger children. If you do not rank highly in his political oligarchy you will be thrown under the bus in any situation. He will not be present for your children’s competitions nor support them in down right nasty situations of controversy. He will stand there deer in the head lights and protect his image. Mike is a fraud. If you watch his fights where he finishes a guillotine and does not release it when the ref stops the fight but cranks it harder (fight pass) you will get a perfect image of mikes passive aggressive un- ethical personality he will try to impart onto your children. He will Then not stand behind them in their time of need.Do yourself a favor and Find a gym run by someone who is upright in character.

Great gym full of great people. Came in knowing no Jiu-Jitsu, and a few months later Ive already had fun at two tournaments and have won two medals.If youre even slightly interested in BJJ or Kickboxing stop by!

CIES MMA is the best gym to go to for MMA, Muay Thai or BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) in the Springs. I had originally joined CIES through a Groupon and was amazed at the level of professionalism and family-like welcome and culture of everyone in the gym. After my Groupon ended, I decided to stick with training at the CIES MMA - other BJJ gyms I had been to in the Springs paled in comparison.If you want to go somewhere where you can get a great workout, learn self-defense and feel as welcome in the gym as you would feel welcomed by your family - CIES MMA is where it is at.Mike Ciesnolevicz (coach and owner) is both professional and works to enhance every students abilities (whether it be in overall fitness, BJJ, Muay Thai or MMA). Mike also is incredible at understanding every students goal and helping them achieve it. He is truly a wonderful coach. His leadership and care for his students is very apparent from the moment you meet him.The students under Mike are also very welcoming and will help you out if you dont fully understand a concept in class or, if you just need help figuring out a new move.
