Living here was one of the best experiences! The staff is helpful, friendly, and they were quick to respond to any needs we had. The apartments were quiet and family friendly. If we didn’t have to relocate for work, we would be living there today. We were beyond impressed, and would recommend anyone to live here!

I have lived here almost 2 years now - recently my tub was constantly dripping and vendors came out - said they were going to replace something within but the vendor I guess quit or something so it never got finished. However, my a/c also went out recently and at one point it got extremely hot in here keep in mind I do have dogs especially one with a lot of hair - so I informed the property mgr Derek - He got Marcus to work on it - Marcus came over to see what the problem was and immediately called a vendor to come ASAP - he even went as far as getting me a swamp cooler since I work from home and have multiple furry friends - thats when I brought up hey Marcus when is the vendor coming to fix the tub - Marcus found out that vendor had quit like I previously mentioned - Marcus called and next day someone was here to fix my tub - Amazing amazing amazing on Marcuss end !!! I have to say Marcus is 100% the best when it comes to helping out the tenants - he really does care - and you cant say that about most properties. I would 100% recommend this property - the only thing I can say about this property is I WISH we had more gym equipment haha but its a nice view of the mountain so that makes up for it :D

Great place to live! I moved here from Texas blindly into this apartment community and was not disappointed! I love being so close to the mountains and downtown! The staff is great to work with and are always understanding to my needs! Maintenance has always been respectful and quick when I have had them in my apartment! Having a garage at an apartment is rare and it definitely pays off having one! They also have some of the biggest floorplans I have seen at any apartment community! Would recommend (;

So far our experience with Bonterra has been great! The management is very responsive and decently quick to respond to work orders. I like that they make an effort to bring the community together by throwing activities like the Easter Egg Hunt. I have no complaints regarding the management. The only reason I didn’t give the 5th star is because the apartments themselves don’t have built in lights in most of the main rooms. We thought that was weird but have solved the light problem with lots of lamps. We do love everything else about the apartment, especially because we can walk to Quail Lake!

Beware that the photos of the apartments are very deceiving. We talked with a couple of the aparment managers and they were very helpful and friendly with helping us move in from out of state, but when we moved into these apartments about two years ago and were disturbed at how disgusting it was and how little light comes into the apartments. (Literally what apartment doesnt have ceiling lights in the bedrooms or living room??)When we moved in our stove was out in the living room and everything in the apartment needed to be cleaned. The apartments are very old and the carpet that was in our living room and bedrooms was torn up and filthy. We needed to vacuum and mop the floors before we felt that it was somewhat acceptable. We also had a few nights that we were woken up by homeless people rummaging through the dumpsters.Even though there were a good amount of bad things that we experienced, there are a few good things about this apartment as well. Such as having a really nice and deep pool, the view from the apartment is beautiful, the decks are huge and were really nice to have during COVID times, it was really nice having a garage included with our rent, and the apartment had nice amenities like the workout room and fire pit.

Do not move here! Worst apartment experience of my life. The staff who come over to fix maintenance issues are extremely rude. I’ve had several issues living here including my heat not working, my water turning off (for several days!) and turning extremely hot randomly in the shower. Today I got my car broken into in my garage, and I called to see and ask if I could get a new garage and the man on the phone was rude and impatient with me because I called several times until they answered. I would rate zero stars if I could. For the price this place is NOT worth it.Update 3/21: went to my garage and it wouldn’t open at all with the button. One of many issues with living here

Overpriced for what they offer. The apartments are from the 70s and they only renewed some of them for pictures (also the appliances seemed to be from that age). When we moved in we got an old apartment which wasnt really cleaned thoroughly. The cupboards looked horrible from inside, they just painted over dust. Holes in the walls and doors, water damage on the floors, melted stuff sticking in the carpets. But instead of ripping out the whole carpet, they just cut out the parts and replaced them. They got vents but no proper ventilation for the dryer. Said they couldnt do anything about it cause the vents are blocked. We also once had either a squirrel or a rat in the dryer vent hose so they couldnt be that blocked. They doggy park isnt kept up properly, always poop everywhere cause the bags are frequently empty and maybe once every month somebody picks it up. Their pool most of the time is either closed or when its open, its blocked with kids. The only upsides are that you got Quail lake right nearby, the staff is helpful and friendly and they got a little gym.

These are nice apartments with attentive employees, respectful tenants, and good maintenance. I really enjoy living here. A couple improves I’d recommend:- Parking lots are in desperate need of some love. Potholes everywhere- make the change over to a heat & A/C system that allows you to have both turned on all year. This is Colorado, where the weather has the potential to change drastically at any point in time. It could be sunny and 75 one minute and 30 degrees and snowing the next, I’d like a system that supports this.

If I could give this property 0 stars I would. I lived in building 998 for 2 years and when we first moved in this property was amazing, when they were owned by Griffis Blessing. When they were bought out shortly after it turned into a slum. It was a constant fight to ever have heat and hot water in our building. We had constant leaks to the point we had a stream of water coming down out of the lighting fixture in our bathroom. Our apartment became infested with mice, and it took 2 months just to get pest control to come in and help us get rid of them. By the time we moved we caught about 10 mice, and we are sure there was more. The mice were so bad they ate through the padding in our carpet to get in the walls. Overall the staff is horrible, they do not care about taking care of their residents. The property manager Derek released our personal information and billing information to our neighbors when they requested information about the utility payments. They also try to screw you on your damage deposit, and are trying to charge us for damages to our deck when the wood boards were already rotting out when we moved into our apartment. We never used the patio all we kept on it were a grill and some potted plants. They are also trying to charge us for water damages to the ceiling that was caused by leaks from the pipes upstairs. Do not move into this property as it will be a waste of your time and save you the frustration.Edit: The management will lie to you about their privacy policy. If they did not release all our information without our permission to our neighbor. Our neighbor would not been able to come knock on our door, and quote us line from line about our billing information. Talk about fantastic management. I will be taking a trip to Fort Carsons housing authority this week to report this property to be considered for blacklisting.

These apartments are horrible we had no heat in the apartment for months we even constantly had someone fixing it and for some reason still had no heat and their only solution was to give us a SPACE HEATER for a 1160 sq.ft. apartment. It would constantly get down to 50 or 60 degrees in the apartment in the dead of WINTER while my wife was PREGNANT and all they can offer us is a space heater. There were so many leaks that never got fixed everytime it would rain water would leak through the front door and every work order that was put in some how disappeared or never got looked at and to top that off this was the renovated unit I would hate to see how the non renovated units look. I wouldnt ever recommend living here and anyone coming from base please beware they will steal your money to live in this trashcan of a place.

Will not renew my lease. The space is good but things had to get fixed when I moved in that should have already been fixed before they put it out to rent. I don’t like the fact that I am paying for my use of water and others use of water so water bill is always high, so I will be more careful when moving somewhere else and pay more attention to the lease I sign and the percentage of water they want us to pay, Seems like my rent is always 200 hundred dollars more because of the water which is crazy when it’s just you or just a couple living here to pay. It’s not far from Fort Carson post (gate 3) and close to downtown but the total rent is not worth It to me. You can rent a house instead of paying here to live in a 3 bedroom for those who have kids. POOR. I moved in and had a good experience for the first two months. Since then I have had many frustrating experiences with this complex.1. Their online payment system was down for a a few weeks and they failed to notify all tenants before rent was due. At this complex you can only pay on the 1st of the month, not a day earlier or a day later. When their system was down I was out of town and the woman I spoke to threatened to call their lawyers if I did not pay that day with a check. I have always paid my rent on time a so I thought this was extreme, especially since the problem was on their end not mine.2. 60 day notification for ending the lease. This is very unusual in my experience. It was challenging to ensure I had a place to live 60 days before moving out of the apartment.3. Noise violation. I recently received a noise notification from the apartment management. The neighbors complained of too much noise, but we were both out of country for the days they claimed we were loud. When I called they were combative and said that something was making the noise and it must have been us.4. The apartment management will give you 30 minutes notice that they are entering your apartment for maintenance. This is very inconvenient if you plan to sleep in, or miss their call and they catch you right after you shower. In my experience I have always received 24 hour notice.5. The walkways from the parking lot to the apartment doors are very dark. The parking lot has a lot of light, but once you get to the sidewalk it is poorly illuminated.6. Speaking of light, these apartments have light ONLY in the kitchen and bathrooms. There are light switches in the bedrooms, but they are not connected to an outlet and there are no overhead lights. Be prepared to purchase many lamps! The living room does not have any overhead light as well.7. Coax cable outlets. When we moved in we were told there were coax cable outlets in the bedrooms and living room. This was true, but they were not functioning because the cable had been cut (most likely from work done when upgrading the apartment). It would have cost a fortune to have the cable company out to fix the problem and the apartment complex responded that, as tenants, we would have to pay to fix it.Overall I have found management to be combative and disrespectful to tenants when trying to solve a problem.

This is our second year in our appartment. The first year was great, large apartment ,pool, small gym, management WAS always helpful so, we decided to sign another year even though rent went up $80...shortly after they changed management and are quickly becoming slumlords! Came home today before the clubhouse was supposed to be closed and they were already locked up and gone. I was going in to complain about the bear bottle that was smashed in the walk way directly in front of the club house, also to complain about the pool being closed for about two weeks due to its green color Im assuming...the over flowing trash can by the community grille, the lack of walkway lights by our apartment, and the nasty amount of dog poop all over the place! Im normally not one to complain but, this place sucks now! Cant wait to move.

I feel that when criticizing an apartment complex you have to take into consideration that you know what you are going to get because you see the facilities before you move in. My review speaks only to the way I was treated as a tenant.Lived there for a year before purchasing a home. Martina, Brian, and the maintenance crew exceeded my expectations of all of the previous apartment complexes I have lived at (which has been many). Any time I had a repair or concern or got locked out they took care of it VERY quickly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If I where to critique anything I would have to say that before you move in take note if you are on the bottom floor and if you are above a boiler room. It gets very warm in the summer but Its nice in the winter because the floor almost heats itself! Another thing I would nit-pick is it would have been nice to have more notice when they applied pesticide to the grass. More than once I took my dog out only to realize that on the FAR FAR end of the lawn there was a sign that said keep pets off, pesticides have been applied (or something of that nature) even in the dog park area.

This apartment complex takes advantage of soldiers. There have been charges with threat of late fees. When this was pointed out to management we were promptly refunded. Upon management finding out that I was notifying other tenants of this charge the management I was asked to cease and decisis. This was a very nice apartment. The units were spacious and well maintained. The neighborhood was great with a short walk to the lake and a shopping center with target, petsmart, lots of places to eat, and a movie theater. The pool, community center and gym were nice to have. The garages were amazing and we loved having them for spare storage if needed. The units themselves had excellent amounts of storage as well. I really wish I could have stayed there but the negatives outweighed the positives. The downsides were noisy neighbors, yelling and fighting into ridiculous hours of the morning. Peoples misbhaving dogs who would sit on the back deck area and bark all day. The customer service was terrible. It was next to impossible to get someone on the phone in order to request maintenance. Even at normal business hours it was rare that anyone would answer the phone. While I was on vacation I had them fix my sink and when I came back I found that my door was unlocked. Who knows how long they had left my door open after the work was complete. I could not control when I wanted heat or AC in my own apartment!! Colorado weather is stupid and flucuates wildly. I was told that the heat and AC was on a calendar and can only be activated certain times of the year. Im paying my own damn utilities, let me use my AC when Colorado decides to be dumb and have 60 degree days in February. The worst thing about the apartment was the UGLY mirrored, sliding closet doors that cover an entire wall in both bedrooms. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs some serious professional help. The final nail in the coffin for me was after living there for a year as a good tenant, I wanted to resign a lease but I was told my rent would go up 200$ a month! This was already on top of the high prices that I was paying monthly. Absolutely absurd and the management wouldnt even work with me to negotiate.

This is a horrible company and the management is full of crooks. There is lead in the paint, they charge you two separate utility bills, and the water doesnt stay on one temp for even 10 minutes. They are dishonest dealers and they do not respond to concerns. I had a problem with pigeons on my porch, one died and I asked them to take it away. They never did. Eventually they laced the porch with poison and glue and then wouldnt clean it up when it attracted about a dozen birds. It was disgusting and unsanitary. They also verbally would tell me different things than what was in the contract and then charge it last minute and there was nothing I could do about it. There drop box for rent was broken into repeatedly and the first time it happened they tried to charge me for late rent until I showed them the copy of the check I make for each rent. These guys are crooks. Do not stay here.

However, a new management company has recently taken over and the customer service has gone down fast! We complained about our neighbors constantly partying below us and were told, Theres nothing we (management) can do. Call the cops in the future. We have also contacted the management regarding other issues and it takes on average 2 weeks for them to even acknowledge our concern and even longer to do anything about it. Also, the company has promised apartment upgrades (new windows, doors and toilets) and we have not received a single one of these even though weve followed their directions. Moved in a year ago, crazy how things have changed, absolutely loved the place, everything seemed nice and it was very welcoming for the first few months. After about 6 months it all started to become more of a slum, honestly counting the days till I can end my lease and find a new apartment. I strongly advice against moving here, especially if they put you on the West end (closer to the lake, further from the street). The parking is a joke, lines are faded and painted in multiple areas so people park wherever they please, to include in the grass, on top of rocks, in fire safety zones, and most recently, just in the middle of the parking area. The guy who parks on the rocks also kicks up a bunch of rocks into the parking area so theres an added benefit. Also, dont worry about bringing this to the management, they give you the standard answer and send you on your way.Vehicles get broken into constantly, so I hope you have a great lock or good insurance. Some tenants dont know how to put pants on higher then theyre knees, but hey, part of that slum feel is getting the gangsters right?Maintenance is terrible, gurantee stuff will be broken and will stay that way or youll get the half ass fix, love my issue I had with a microwave, told me to deal with it or theyll just take the microwave away!In summary, if you want to experience low teir living at a high teir cost or want to witness an area lose value due to one apartment complex, this place is amazing, otherwise, there are a ton of great apartments within 5 minutes commute at much lower costs and much higher standard.Dont take my review as law, just look at all the ones in the last 6 months.

My wife, daughter and I moved in here November 2016. Since being stationed at Carson we have had the... Unfortunate experience of renting from several properties throughout the area. Weve only had two experiences that were positive. We rented from the previous owners of Bonterra Lakeside prior to moving in here and our expectations were set pretty high. It did go as we had expected until the property was bought by the current owners. Things were pretty rocky in the latter part of 2017 and January of this year.During the handoff there were several issues with the management my wife and I tried to address as quick as possible. Even with something as simple as attempting to resolve issues with the new lease was emmediately brought up to a lawyer by the thens management. The initial management was replaced within a couple of weeks after I had attempted to resolve this issue and has not since been a problem. There was a second Stand-in manager who was helpful and was very prompt on answering some issues I had with a potential PCS coming up. The current management, however, has their hands full. I say this not because it is any of their doing or that they are not doing their job, but to the contrary, they are cleaning up a mess that was left for them. There are several things that I understand can be seen as issues, but honestly, they are doing what should have done [before] they stepped into that office. Theyre doing their job and for the first time since the handoff, I trust the management. Though I havent had much interaction with Kristi, Katrina has always been more than helpful and friendly with the three of us both in the office and out. Some other things of note are:RENT-Rent is comparable to other properties in the area. After the several places weve been in the past 4 years, this is the best bang for your buck. Im not one to give free advertising, but, Ive not been able to find another place closer to Ft. Carson with comparable sq footage, price, and the quality of the property itself.Community WiFi-Ill admit at first, we thought this was going to be a royal pain. But, its better than the company we had been getting Internet from and its 40 bucks cheaper. Not to mention weve had minimal issues compared to said company, especially with being on the 3rd floor.Over all, if the current management are in charge when it comes time to sign a new lease, wed have no problems signing again. I also have no problem recommending this place to others.Hope this helps.

Pricing is comparable to anything around here you want a nice safe neighborhood thats what you are going to pay its Colorado if you have a pet that is a service animal no pet fees or extra costs. I would recommend this place to anyone! Also just a little tip Ive personally never had this problem with noise or other peoples pets but I see people in the reviews complaining about noise and pets so my tips are this 1 if you are not wanting to deal with noise and other peoples pets you should probably invest in a house and 2 if you do decide on apartment living and dont want to deal with loud people or partying on the weekends pick a complex that isnt right next to a major military base... they like to have a good time and pay thier dues to be able to do such..those are my two helpful tips

Apartments are decent on the inside, but way overpriced for what you get. The model is MUCH nicer than the actual apartments. The floors are completely different. The explanation on how the utilities were charged was not clear when we signed our lease. We WERE told that we had to pay utilities with our rent, but that we had to sign up with Colorado Springs Utilities .... What was not explained was that they were two separate bills. So when they say your utilities are about $70, thats only one of these charges - what you pay to the utility company separately,The balcony in our apartment is scary. Its leaning and not even connected to the building. Unfortunately, we were not able to see which apartment we were getting until after the lease was signed, even though we had asked several times. Had I seen the balcony, I probably would have looked for an apartment elsewhere. We were told that theyd fix i in the summer. This does not help us now. I feel unsafe every time I go to our storage closet out there. The 2 bedroom 1 bath has no door on the master bedroom. We were not told this at all, and didnt find out until we got the keys on move in day. The layout on their website show a door, but they say that theyve never had doors. THIS is a HUGE inconvenience since Im living with a roommate. Every time they go to the bathroom, they go into my bedroom basically. I put up a curtain, but this is hardly a private bedroom as one would expect. The parking here is awful if you live in certain buildings. I have been injured in a car accident, and now have temporary tags for handicapped parking - which there isnt any handicapped parking near my building, only near the clubhouse. Where we are, there are a little over a dozen open spaces for several apartment buildings. Yes, you get a garage, but ours is three buildings away. The only place to park a second car - is to cross your fingers for an empty spot near the building, or to park completely out of the complex, by the houses. There is a big lot near the clubhouse, but its further than the street parking. So yes, when we were told that there is plenty of parking technically there may be. But, we didnt realize until move in day that our place was not even close to all of this parking. This past month, I went to pay the rent on the date it was due, at 5:30. Website says they close at 6:00 yet there was nobody in the office, and it was locked - door said they would return the next day. I put a note on my check that we were there before closing, yet we were STILL charged a $50 late fee. I WOULD have paid online, but they charge $40 to do so.I still give two stars, because the apartments are decent, and the pool/clubhouse area are beautiful. Too bad we moved in after the pool closed, and will be gone before it opens.

Maintenance lies about job completion and contacting management is like pulling teeth. Its been over a month and we still havent had anyone fix our grievances from when we moved in. I know adjusting the towel rack is a job that takes like 10 minutes at most.Super disappointed on all fronts.

There are a lot of horrible reviews here. The owner’s/management’s thoughtless boilerplate responses only add insult to injury.
