I really enjoy this Club Fitness. I have not yet visited other locations for comparison, but I worked out at this club for a couple of years before the renovation/expansion then moved away for a while and came back within the last year and joined the club again. The expansion greatly improved the gym. Staff is always very friendly and welcoming, the gym is kept neat and clean, and there is plenty of great equipment for lifting and cardio. Cant beat the price, quality, and convenience for the area.

The equipment has had better days. Sometimes the weights can be pretty disorganized, otherwise the facility is relatively clean and generally free of clutter. Also open 24 hous so thats a huge plus.

Comfortable and convenient. The classes are good. No extra bells and whistles like some locations.

Predatory business practices. They make you cancel by mail or in-person only, in the hopes that people will be too lazy to cancel their membership. I plan on raising a case with the Illinois Attorney Generals office over their anti-consumer behavior.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They have all the equipment needed for my needs. In response to a 1 star review posted by King IRL. You write that you have been using the gym for years, yet call it a poorly ran business. They are obviously doing something right if you have been a member for years. You complain about your 24/7 access being less than expected. Like any other business, Club Fitness has to comply with the new protocols set forth by the state due to the pandemic. Im sure if you look around at other gyms youll find that they too have had make changes to how the business is run during these trying times. Just as ALL businesses have had to do. Ventilation is up to code in the restrooms and works fine as does the hot water in the faucets. From reading your post it would seem you are more upset from the fact that the pandemic is infringing on your life.

Been going to this gym for several years, they charge you full amount for an all access membership but will take away access when they feel it necessary. 24/7 access has not been the case. Cant even get proper ventilation in the bathroom or hot water just to wash your hands. Poorly ran business.

Yeah, its not as big as the OFallon CF, but the trainers at this one are cool and the staff are good. Theres enough equipment for you to do a range of strength and cardio activities. They could use some upright bikes.

Everyone is friendly, polite, and helpful. Someone is always cleaning and disinfecting even before Covid. I enjoy working out at this location.

First off, I would like to say the everyday staff is great at this location. If you work out at this location, I would advise that you be vigilant about your safety. This location let someone randomn person in without badging and this individual stole my keys and then my wallet out of my car. I ended up having over $2,000 stolen from me. The individual was even chatting with the front desk personnel and they let him wander around without even inquiring what he was doing there. Management could care less about this and said it was my fault. Thankfully this individual did not have a gun.

Cool staff, equipment is up to date. Good atmosphere.

Large amount of workout machines

We didnt like the gym, we ended up moving to a different state, they cant cancel our membership, and they proceed to keep charging our account. We arent coming back. I guess theyll keep charging our account until the day we die? What a joke.

I was a member at this location for 6 years. Equipment was great, busy evenings but otherwise a nice gym.Unfortunately whomever is in charge allows an I’m guessing homeless lady to basically live there and work there.She’s in everyone’s businessShe’s fake friendly ,obviously no fitness guru, and parks in the middle of the street if someone is closer than her.

Exactly what you expect. Little busy in the afternoon and evening but otherwise I rarely have to wait for equipment. The ladies who watch the kids are great and my kids never balk at going. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. I would recommend.

Decent Gym, equipment is a bit dated. Noone cleans their equipment. None of the weights are where they belong. Only 2 showers, and locker rooms are fairly small. They do have good pricing, and their 24 hours are pretty good. They do have better equipment for weight lifting than some of the other similar gyms. Staff seemed nice.

Love going to Maggies classes.

I frequent Club Fitness four to six times a week. Since the expansion of the fitness center. I have had no issues with being able to use the equipment in a timely fashion. Overall this club has the basic amenities needed to get and stay fit.

Not a Military friendly company. I currently am serving in the Army and recently came home for a few days to visit family and friends. I was looking for a place to workout for the few days I was here; I saw online Club Fitness offered a free 7 day pass, so I signed up for it. When I went to use it I was approached by a member service consultant and he refused to honor my 7 day pass because when I explained to him my situation he realized I would not be able to sign up for a full-time membership, and that the 7 day pass was only for those wanting a membership. He told me, just because youre a veteran doesnt mean you can do whatever I want - and all I was wanting to do was continue my fitness as its an important part of not only of my job but my life.

Was a long time member, loved the gym and the people. Unfortunately, because they are not staffed 24 hours a day, I was approached and harraased by a random drunk man who was also a member (asked to kiss me and touch my butt). When I told them what happened and why I was there to cancel my membership, they still tried to keep me for 30 days and charge me once more. Corporate is saying they will waive the last fee (my literal only request, I just want to put this behind me), but I felt dismissed at this particular gym.

Complete scam now. I was a member for years. Decided around a year ago to stop goin. Didnt renew my contract. Called corporate to cancel. Was rudely told i had to go to a local club fitness in person to cancel i did twice. Was told it was cancelled. Now a year later they are turning me into collections sayin it wad never cancelled. I havebt been there in well over a year. They also let an ex girlfriend put herself and het daughter on my account even tho i have nothing to do with them or never allowed that. You were warned. They also will not have a supervisor deal with this. Very rude novody will handle this just like a year ago.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I moved away and wanted to cancel. The guy on the phone said that I can call on my last month and cancel without having to pay the $60 fee. I called them to do so and they are now telling me i have to be there in person to cancel the membership. AND they are going to charge me an extra month too. SUPER SHADY COMPANY. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!!

The people at the Collinsville club are extremely helpful and really are focused on getting you to reach your goals.

Hard to cancel an account. Make sure you understand completely with no questions on how to cancel if you ever want out. More obstacles than needed to cancel.

Love the space and amount of free weights, but the machines are lacking and cardio equipment is in need of repairs or replacement. Not nearly as nice as other CF locations.

My overall evaluation, besides the mens locker area. The Staff seems really nice and very helpful and understanding. There was one person that did not go well with me there at the time. Going into a gym for the first time I knew what plan was right for me. Of course going into a gym for my first time was very frightening they made me warm up quite nicely. I am still shy going in everyday and insecure, but I have to remember we are all in for the same reason or another! The place is CLEAN and SMELLS clean. Ha, I thought all gyms would stink and maybe some do. There is a guy that goes around and cleans all the equipment plus you can clean them yourself before and after using them. Its just polite because no one wants to sit in your wet stink.

I came to try and test out the gym what they don’t tell you is they aren’t fully staffed until 8 am so I had to wait an hour outside and then they give you a hard time when you want to test the gym out. Would not recommend

Their contract explains all detaills surrounding cancellation, suspending the membership, hours, and what not. Most of the negative reviews on here seem to be from people who apparently cant read. The prices are fair and the gym is what would be expected for its location.

Very spacious, nice workers, decently clean environment and lots of equipment.

I was looking forward to,joining this gym. But,I was lied to when I was signing up. I was told one thing then another all of a sudden. I talked to the manager and even went to corporate with my concerns. I felt basically ignored and like they didnt care that one of their team members lied. But oh well ill just go somewhere else.

My wife and I recently started going to get in shape and get ready for our honemoon in Jamaica. When signing up we dealt with Kellin, he was very nice to talk to and made us excited to start working out. We have been going everyday since we signed up and I feel great. My wife is excited to start taking some of the classes as she is not a huge fan of using weights. Overall I am very excited to be going here and look forward to seeing some good results for my wife and myself.

Be careful. Ive been out of contract for over a year, yet when I decided to cancel my membership, I was sent a bill for two months service. I called to figure out why, and was told that there is a 30 day cancellation notice. It was explained to me that since I cancelled on 12/6/14, I owed for the month of December. BUT, I also owe for the entire month of January because Januarys bill goes out on the first of the month, and that just happened to fall within the 30 day notice. If I had canceled 1 week earlier, I wouldnt have been charged for the 2nd month. That, and the girl I spoke to on the phone sounded like I was bothering her by asking for a clarification on my bill. She basically said sorry, thats how it is, and no, we wont pro-rate. I will never use club fitness again, and I have recommended to everyone I know to choose a different gym.Overall, I enjoyed the gym, but I have received very poor customer service, even poorer service from the corporate telephone line, and I will never step foot in a club fitness again.

Equipment is in good shape and its only really busy during peak hours. I wish they had 1 more squat rack in there, though.My only REAL complaint is the cleanliness of the restrooms, specifically, the showers. They could use a good deep cleaning daily and a sign in the room that tells people to PLEASE SPRAY THEM OUT WHEN FINISHED. I also wish theyd get someone in there to scrub them out before people show up for their pre-work training.Overall, decent place to workout. Never had experience with the trainers, but the classes look full and fun.

Always clean, has all the equipment Im looking for. Wish it was bigger because there is always a lot of people and wish it had a sauna like the one in Creve Coure.

The problem with this club is that there is no responsibility or accountability. TWICE Ive updated my credit card and TWICE theyve somehow messed this up and failed to bill me causing me to have LATE CHARGES which were unfair and gouging. They referred me to an email to their CORPORATE OFFICE to handle this both times. Both times I never had my email returned. I am not going to pay the late charges and will probably just go in the day time for the rest of my life as no one even cares enough to ask me for my membership card. HEADS UP CORPORATE! TAKE CARE OF YOUR CRAP!

Great price, recently expanded with decent equipment, and love the 24 hour gym availability. Doesnt have all the commodities or perks as other gyms, though, including some of the other Club Fitnesses.

The mens locker room has inadequate ventilation. The smell from people going to the bathroom lingers in there for quite a long time. The fart smell is so bad sometimes I wish I had brought a toothbrush to get the smell out of my mouth. Really nasty in there quite often makes me want to vomit. They should put in an exhaust fan.

Best workout ever

There are plenty of ways to workout at this (Collinsville) club. But the management mostly ignores customers when they suggest changes. The music is almost always played too loud, as though its for the management and employees to listen to, not those who are working out. In the mens room, areas that quickly get dirty are often not cleaned and therefore reek. The shower room walls in the mens locker room - outside the shower - were not tiled up the wall, so water has leaked through the drywall to the adjacent room. It looks bad. Its been that way since it was built. I still work out here, and will change this when see changes.

Watch out for what they tell you and what they actually get you suckered into. We were told that we could cancel anytime, with the promotion special they were running at the time....but when we cancelled after 10 months, they charged us for another two months worth of memberships saying that we had to put a minimum of 12 months in. Very aggrivating when they dont follow through with what they tell you. Our friend had the same problem, he kept getting charged month after month even after he had been told that he could cancel at anytime too. Called the customer service center and they said there was nothing they could do since they guy who signed us up told us wrong. Will never be signing up for a club fitness again due to poor customer service and them not resolving the issue.
