This is my first time using protech and honestly they were quite professional and kind. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, they also were able to fix the problems that I had. And for the problem that they werent able to work on they gave me ideas and tips on how to get it fixed. I really appreciated their work and I highly recommend them. Their prices were also quite Fair too.

I’ve been using Pro-Tec for 8+ years. Every repair has been quality and lasting. The service and interactions are always professional and personal - never rude or irritable. From my perspective, their service charges always feel appropriate. The price for parts are probably double what you’d find on Amazon or the like, but that is somewhat expected in this business. Appointment was booked here for me through my Carmax warranty. When the warranty information wasn’t sent over properly, they called for me and got everything taken care of on the financial end. The parts they ordered for me arrived quickly and were installed the same day they arrived. Overall, excellent service and would recommend.

Was driving through town when my car started making weird noises so decided to stop by and get it checked out. Staff was super helpful and quick to resolve my issue. Prices were reasonable and I was out within 30 minutes!

These people are honest. If they say you need it, you do. If it can wait a bit, theyll tell you. In a business where the customers often dont know tail pipe from oil pan, integrity is rare and really important.

This is one of the best car maintenance companies that Ive ever had the fortune of running into. The staff is super polite and efficient. They didnt know me at all, but offered to look at my tire pressure issue and refill pressure for free. If they couldnt fix a problem, theyll refer you to another company without charging you for the time they spent diagnosing.

I liked the way they solved the issue with my car, but I do not know if that fixture was worth 200 dollars. However, the AC is fixed and running and they did it in a couple of hours. I will give them a try again next time to give a more informed opinion.

Fantastic, quick and fairly priced service, another shop quoted me $500 to diagnose my a/c system or otherwise they couldnt do anything when it was only missing some freon. Pro-tec emptied the system out, refilled it to the proper amount and only charged me for the service and the freon that wasnt already in the car! A/C works perfect in the texas heat now, definitely coming back!

Came here to get A sensor replaced last week ended up with a broken dipstick tube they claim it was already broken however when I contacted other shops they said if I wasnt leaking oil that they had to break it instead of them trying to make it right they wanted to charge me over $400 to fix what they broke ended up taking it another shop and they charged me $130 and there was no problems I have been here more than once for my cars but Im definitely not coming back

I called ahead to see how busy they were; they said, Not too, so I drove in. A/C compressor wasnt running, so I asked em to check it out, and sat down to wait. Less than 30 minutes later, they let me know it just needed additional freon -- I told em to go ahead. Altogether, I was in and out in under an hour. They also mentioned the car running rough (I knew that), and suggested it might benefit from a tune up. I agreed, but now wasnt the time. Absolutely no pressure to get additional work done, that wasnt requested. Ill go back there soon, for the additional work, for certain.

This shop is awesome, used them several times. Just brought my truck in for an oil change and to check the ac. Had the ac repaired with them along with another issue on the truck 3 months ago, they diagnosed the issues quickly and repaired them with no problems. My ac failed again and they repaired it at no charge!! Unfortunately a fitting failed from the first repair but they where HONEST about the failure. Thats why I return to them!! They couldve said it was another failure and charge me, but thats not how they operate. Great business ethics guys!! Thank you very much. Happy returning customer!

Went here because of a coolant leak. Lenko helped and correctly diagnosed the problem. They ordered the parts and everything went smooth during the repair. Reasonable price and follow up by lenko. Would recommend.

They dont overcharge their services. I dont call it a deal either. I dont have any issues with them until last time when my car was left there overnight, my car appears being broken into. I didnt notice it until I was waiting for a red light and found broken plastics scattered here and there. When I returned, they denied any involvements in any of that (of course, and I cant prove anything to the contrary either) and they thew me a few bucks and asked me to go.I dont know what happened. But my theory is that they either left the windows open or didnt lock the doors, and kids got into it and did some damage inside. I have no idea. If you have to leave you car here overnight, do take a picture of the condition of your car and check it before you drive off their premises the next day.(Thanks for the quick response from the owner. It was an incident from 2 years ago, and I am also using my friends Google account now, since I dont want to be pinned down personally. I have since graduated and moved away. Thanks anyway. I lived near by this shop when I was attending A&M. Kids around do nasty things. My roommates brand new car was once scratched all around, along with another car.)

Contacted Pro-Tec from my house 6hrs away fro College Station, after my sons (whos attending school at A&M) car started acting up. Never needing a good mechanic in the years my son has lived in College Station, I read many of the online reviews (both good and bad) to many of the local shops. Called several shops and one never returned my call and the other didnt sound to interested in earning a new customer. Spoke to Linko at Pro-Tec and explained the cars issue. Dropped off the car a day later and within hours he contacted me and explained what they had found. He did listen to my concerns and we both agreed on a solution (I have years experience working on cars). Labor, parts and diagnostic were all performed for a very reasonable price. Payed over the phone and my son was able to pick it up. So far so good on the work done. I hope never to need Pro-Tec again but nice to know that if I do, they seem to be a honestly run shop.

Discovered this place on Google Maps when looking for a decent shop to get brake service. After getting them done for a fair price in a quick amount of time, Id definitely recommend. They even had toys for my 2 y.o. in the waiting area. The young lady that checked me in was thorough and the gentleman that handled the transaction seemed incredibly knowledgeable. Excellent Service! Honest and friendly staff. Prices are very fair and reasonable compared to three other shops who quoted us over a $ 1,800.00 for somethings that did not even need replacing or repaired. They did it for a fraction of the price. Their diagnostics has been spot on and so far we have had no problems with them.. Linko the gentleman at the front desk is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help. He has always kept us well informed while the work was being done .Thanks to all the staff for the wonderful job they have done on our Mercedes Benz E 320 diesel cars (4) We are happy that we finally have a repair shop here in College Station since we moved from Sugar Land last August due to our daughter attending Texas A&M University. Thanks also to the owner Donna who gave me a ride home while our MB car was being repaired.I highly recommend them.

The diagnostics fee is a little high, but is average in comparison to other places. The people are helpful and I really appreciate their honesty. Definitely recommend.

Great mechanics

Had my car towed there because it was highly recommended. There was a belt broken and no power steering. Dropped my keys off at 3:30 and car was fixed by 5:30!! They were very nice and respectful, too! Definitely recommend this place!

Excellent service! Was visiting College Station for a tournament, when my check engine light started blinking. I took my car to Pro-Tec Auto Repair and they were extremely helpful! Very friendly people! However I took a 2007 Corolla in recently because the check engine light came on again. They apparently missed the new problem a few days earlier when they said it was just an ignition coil. They said now they would have to keep my car for two weeks because a second diagnosis (that was not picked up the first time) showed that the valves were damaged and it would cost between $1,500-2,000 to fix. I took it to another shop in Bryan for a second opinion. The new shop (a family owned shop) ran a diagnosis that showed no such problem. It was another ignition coil. Check engine light is off and it is running fine.

Schedule an appointment for 4pm. Drop off the car at 345pm. They tell us theyd call is when they were done. They said the job would be done well after 5pm. 530 still no call. Show up at 545 and the shop is closed and they kept our keys. We were from out of town hoping to get some quick work done. And alignment and a rotation and balance. They didnt even work on the truck at all. Worst customer service Ive ever seen. I didnt get a single call or a single message/voicemail.

Great service told me what my car needed now and what could wait. Honest and friendly gave me a ride home and had my car ready when they said it would be.

I have a healthy respect for the professional and friendly service.

I have been a customer of Pro-Tec for some years now. Initially I started going to them for refrigerant refills as they offer a very competitive price for that service. However, over time I have gotten other small repairs from them as well. Usually before doing any major work on my car, I would at least talk to a few different shops to get an idea of the market price and I have rarely found them to be overly expensive.Very recently, I had a broken stud and lug-nut on one of my tires and they did it at almost half the price of what Aggieland Automotive was asking. In most of my visits, I have had a very speedy service as well.The only reason for taking off one star was one very bad experience. I had a full engine diagnostic check done by them to investigate my check-engine light. They concluded that a leaking gas casket was the reason behind it and repaired it for about 200 bucks. But the engine light came back on within a week. And all they could offer was to rerun the engine diagnostic again to investigate.

Brought in my own part and they fixed my AC Solenoid for 1/8th the cost of the other mechanic who wanted to replaced the whole condenser and refused to take my part. The AC system has worked like a charm since I left. Thank You. Wish I would had remembered to bring my coupon though

They are nice people, but there is a huge issue with diagnosis. I towed my car to the facility knowing AutoZone had said my battery was working just fine and charged. My car wouldnt start to after auto zone checked it out we narrowed the problems down to either the alternator or starter. I told them when i arrived i had gotten the battery just tested and it was fine and it might be the starter. They went ahead did their own diagnosis and said it was just the battery and i needed to replace it. A professional technician should know what possibilities it could be. They tested the alternator and it was working just fine but did not have the mind to try to rule out the starter so now 2 days later I have the same problem with the car not starting and have to tow it to a mechanic once more to now get the starter replaced.

I have come to Pro-Tec for 4 years always the best price - get me in quick and these guys know their stuff. Always helpful and honest about my truck.

I have taken my truck to Pro Tec for 5 years now, since moving down here for school. Everyone is really nice and professional, the prices are great, and they provide great service. Today, my serpentine belt broke and they picked me up and fixed it at no charge because I recently had my oil changed there. Lenko is my new favorite person. I recommend all my friends to go here.

I feel i was treated well, no appt needed, i went in on a Sat. and was out about 3 hours. My AC was fixed. did cost me a pretty penny, but however i noticed my passenger window no longer operates correctly, not sure what happened there.

I was in town for a conference and noticed that one of my wheel bearings sounded like it was going out. Pro-Tec was recommended to me by OReilly Auto Parts and Im thankful that they did. I live about 4 hours away on the other side of Dallas and was needing to get back home by that night. When I called and explained my situation the staff was very professional assured me that they could get me in and out the same afternoon so that I could make it back home that night. I cant thank them enough for their help, and I was blown away by the level of customer service that they showed. It is hard to find companies these days that realize the importance of customer service and the affect it has one their business. I would gladly recommend using this company for all your auto repairs simply for the fact that they care about the customer, but they were also very reasonably price. ( nearly $100 cheaper than Brazos Valley Automotive with 3 times the level of customer service )

If I could give this place -10 I would. Most people are skeptical about going to the mechanic and sometimes with good reason, well this place is that reason. I took my car to get the AC fixed and was quoted with compressor included, I asked if I got the part cheaper and brought it to them and they agreed. Long story short they installed the new AC compressor I bought to tell me with a fresh face that I bought a faulty part stating thats why you buy the parts with us. I took my car to Christian Brothers (excellent honest people) and they informed me these animals had broken a connector rendering the part useless. They did this because I didnt purchase their over priced compressor ($230 more) so they could end up charging me AGAIN to install it. Worse car shop experience in my life, these are crooked dishonest people. Think again before walking into this place.

Took a car in with an intermittent problem. They kept it, drove it, and came up with a solution to the problem. Communication was good, and I believe the cost was fair. I will be taking my other vehicles to them.

Great place... originally brought our van here 2 years ago, based on dealer recommendation and was pleased with Pro-Tecs communication, costs and responsiveness...so, we bring our truck here for service now, too...today, I witnessed awesome customer service from Pro-tec owner resolving problem for a super stressed customer (his starter had been stolen, and he was waiting on insurance and running late for an appt)... professional approach was most impressive!

Called on Monday and given a price for alignment, plus schedule time on Wednesday. When I showed up Wednesday the price had gone up and the employee told me that things have changed since the weekend (even though I called on Monday). Bad business practices.

Never take your car here! They were extremely rude and they gave me my car back in an even worse condition then it was before I took it there. They gladly took my money and gave me a car that died the next day. I would give this place negative stars if I could.

Pro-Tec first serviced my 07 Camry for free-on, on April 18th for The Corner Lot, where I bought the car, they said everything was good. I bought it May 31st, and two weeks later my AC wouldnt get cold. I took it back to Pro-Tec, and they found the evaporator leaking, said it would cost $1,000. I worked out a deal with The Corner Lot. My AC works great! But as for the dirty floorboards, torn mats, bug in radio, mistreated documents, and my two front speakers dont work! First car, first repair, and this is my experience? Glad it is over with. Will never go back.

Had issues with clutch hydraulics and they were fast and honest about what was actually wrong from what I was guessing and saved me money

Changed parts with consulting the consumer first. Didnt fix my mechanical issues, they just replaced parts by guessing which I could have done that. They marked up a $30 part from autozone and charged me $91 (raped).

Our daughter goes to Texas A&M and she had trouble with her car. Pro Tec is honest and reasonable. They called me twice and they were very pleasant over the phone and treated my daugher with respect when she arrived. Thank goodness for these guys at Pro Tec.

My Nissan Maxima has been having problems starting for almost two years now, and my parents were always hesitant to take it to a mechanic because it would start... sometimes. Unfortunately, about 2 weeks ago it stopped starting altogether, and when I got the OK to go ahead and take it to a mechanic here I chose pro-tec. This was my first experience with them, and once I entered they were clear, direct, and very very friendly! I dropped off my car for diagnostics ($90... but at this point I was desperate!) Linco (spelling?? Im sorry if I spelt it wrong!) was the one who called me later that day to say that it was my security module. A day later, it was fixed. Im so happy right now to have a car that I can assume will always start now, and a big thank you to all of the mechanics that helped make that a reality!You should go here if you want great service and timely phone calls with progress updates.

We recently moved to this area and needed to bring our vehicle in for servicing. We were very happy with the service and the cost, in fact, they didnt recommend work that we didnt need and were honest.

Messed my car up Gave it for repairs charged a huge amount. The car stalled on the I -10 from overheating. Had to be towed back to College Station to another repair shop and they saw that air intake.hose was missing and the wrong temp thermostat was installed Told the guy at the front desk he just looked at me and said get the receipts. We will never again go to them

Got my oil changed in my suburban and was amazed how cheap it was!! Other places I had priced were outrageous, just because it was an SUV...I will continue to come get the oil changed here in all my vehicles!
