The most amazing service we could have had! Afraid our brakes were going bad and knowing we had some mountains to climb they checked them out immediately and reassured us that they were in tip top shape. It is nice to see friendly, honest and caring people willing to help out in a pinch. Highly recommend anyone to stop in if needed while passing through Cody.

Amazing service and hospitality. John diagnosed our suspension issue immediately. Rachelle fitted us in as soon as the parts arrived and got us travelling again. Highly recommend if you live in the area or are travelling through. I would have given 6 stars if possible.

On a cross-country road trip and hit a giant porcupine on the freeway outside of Powell at 11pm on a Saturday night. Busted the radiator and AC. Had it towed to another spot, but their best estimate ended up being a day or two later and hundreds of dollars more than these guys. Huge thanks to John and his crew for helping us out in our time of need!

We had car trouble on our way to Cody, during our vacation. Its not a good feeling being from out of town and trying to find a dependable mechanic. We were blessed in finding Mc cue auto repair! They were able to fit us in first thing in the morning and have are brakes done by noon, at a reasonable price. What could of ruined our vacation turned out to be just a small bump in the road.Thank you so much!!

Johns team does some amazing work! They worked quickly and had my car done before other shops even took time to look at it. I hit a porcupine coming out of Powell and damaged my radiator beyond repair - John got me a brand new one by the next morning while salvaging for other parts I needed from the same car/model I have to keep my bill economical! Great job guys.

Hate is a strong word, I dont know if I hate anything. However, this shop left me pretty disappointed. After having a rip in the outer CV joint boot on our vehicle while driving through the Big Horn Mtns, this is the first shop we arrived at the next morning. Having worked on vehicles my entire life, I didnt think we would be able to get in right away. I was right, they were full for the morning and that was fine. I told the lady what was wrong and what needed replaced. I was not really heard, she told me she may give me a call when they have an opening and they didnt look for part availability in case they would be able to get my vehicle in? Pretty common practice with our situation and need to get an appointment scheduled. When I asked when they had a spot open she told me she would call and would probably be able to get me in this afternoon. She had my voicemail and would call. Still no attempt to hear me or locate a part. So my girlfriend kindly asked, is there anyone else in town you would recommend? I added, maybe not recommend but is dependable or reputable. Her answer was no. Thats where the disappointment came in. She new our situation and the need to get back on the road. I worked at a auto repair shop in a town of 6000 people and we always had other shops that we worked with to accommodate our customers needs. I cant imagine how disliked this shop must be in the town of Cody, if they are unwilling to give a nod to another shop because they want the business. After heading to R & P Auto Repair, and having them be so helpful and accommodating, Im happy that our business did not go to this shop. Character says a lot about a company, and character is something that this repair shop lacked. They did not work on our car so I cannot say anything about their workmanship. Around 3 pm, while we were driving to Yellowstone, we did get a call from the shop, however it was only to look at the vehicle. Had they looked to see if they had the parts available earlier that morning, we could have brought our car in and had it fixed, and on the road, rather than having to waste another night waiting for this shop to preform the repair. It just seems like bad business, you should be customer oriented, not downgrading other businesses in your area so that you can make a buck!

I have to echo many of the reviews I read posted by broken down travelers. We limped into Cody on a Sunday evening with a seized rear brake caliper on our RV.I called McCue Auto on Monday morning. They diagnosed the problem, laid out the optilns and put a price on each. We chose to rebuild the brakes on both sides due to the mileage and wear on the existing parts. The parts had to be brought in from Billings Montana and wouldnt arrive until approx 2 p.m.. Johns guys preped the RV and were ready when the parts arrived. We were back on the road by close of business. We finished the vacation without any further brake issues.Overall; quick, friendly, quality work at what I consider a fair price. The price was good, especially considering the distance parts had to be brought.

Heading home from Yellowstone Park in Aug 2015, our front passenger wheel started making a horrible noise. We suspected that it was the wheel bearing and did not think we could make it home so we stopped at several of the auto repair shops in Cody, WY including dealerships, and the standard response we got was ... we can get it to next week. We then stopped at McCue Automotive and they diagnosed the problem right away (yep, it was the wheel bearing), found the part at Napa Auto Parts, installed it, tested it, and had us back on the road in less than 2 hours. We feel like they were honest, did quality work, and charged a fair price.

We were on a long trip when we had car trouble. We limped into Cody on July 5th and went looking for McCues based on a recommendation from a friend. The shop was closed for the holidays but one of the mechanics was there working on a personal vehicle. He took the time to talk to us and to call the owner about our problem. The owner (or his wife) actually met us at the shop on her day off to take pictures of our problem to make sure they ordered the correct part. We scheduled our van to be repaired the next week on our way home. (We didnt need it much during the week.) When we showed up in town the next week, they had the part and had us back on the road in just a few minutes. Also, we had been told that we would have to replace the radiator, but McCues found that we just needed to replace a connector which saved us hundreds of dollars. We were so thankful that they went above and beyond to get us home. Thank you!
