Coast Dental are the most caring providers I’ve ever experienced. They always make sure you understand what is being done and want you to be comfortable. Top notch!!

When I visited it, they had no doctors, unprofessional and they didnt explain you well about your medical needs, in short, little recommended

They just more than doubled their prices overnight. I understand that theyve lost a lot of business due to covid, but thats not a reason to take advantage of existing customers.

Complete horror show! This is the most unorganized place. The orthodontist and his assistant Tasha are the worst workers ever. They do the absolute bare minimum. Constantly rescheduling appointments, wait in the waiting room an hour after youre designated time. If you have to cancel, then you get cancelation fees which is ironic since they are always behind. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER DENTISTS AND ONES THAT ACTUALLY CARE

This company is a complete utter scam! My daughter is being rescheduled for the 4th time in a row!!! Don’t come to this scam of a company, they will take your money and just reschedule you!

My daughter has been rescheduled now 5 times!!! Im not sure as I am not an orthodontist but I am pretty sure braces have to be adjusted to work properly!!! They have no back up to see their patients when the orthodontist is out. After 3 months of rescheduling you would think a corporation as big as they are would figure out a solution. Dont even try to call the corporate office to get help or complain apparently that department is like the new Little Cesars commercial referring to complaint depts. After putting a sizeable amount down we are stuck with them or take that loss. Its sad when youre relying on professionals to do their job but have no business ethics!!!! If I could give them NO stars I would 1000 times so no one else gets dumped on like this!!!

The manager at this office was great with helping me to get my refund! Just keep in mind that the refund process for this company takes a few months so I would recommend you pay on the date of your services. Other than that I have always had a wonderful experience with the staff at this office!

I’ve rescheduled my ortho appointment about five times by now due to the orthodontist always calling out. One of my brackets fell off about a month ago and gaps are starting to form between my teeth. I finally got another appointment today and waited in the chair for about half an hour to be only told that I have to reschedule again and the doctor had left for the day. I am very frustrated on how this company and dental office is being run.

Absolutely terrible.Worst experience from scheduling an appointment, to the office visit, and them trying to charge things we never discussed. Office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. 0/10 do not recommend. Don’t waste your time or money, we ended up leaving and scheduling another appointment elsewhere for the same day.

What a scam! You go in for a cleaning and you walk out with a bill $200.00 and a electric toothbrush. Didnt even do the cleaning and after waiting 25mins. Never spoke to the dentist.

If I could review with no stars, I could. From staff committing fraud by not submitting claims to insurance requesting coverage to no appointments for orthodontic work until August. Save yourself time, GO ELSEWHERE!

The bathroom was dirty and has you can see in the photo, there equipment is hanging in the trash can. When they took me back for my appointment, very short on explaining the charges and also want additional chargers which were not covered by my insurance. Man my wanted me to sign the paper work and move on. That was it for me. Stated I would pass and went to the front and Ask for the manager, no answer, asked for the supervisor, no answer other than she will be here at 11:00.Very dirty and bad place. Do not go here, been to coast dental before and had an alright experience so I thought to come back for an exam and have my teeth cleaned. I waited for over an hour and the hygienist seemed to be annoyed with her job. They “probed” my teeth and told me I had gingivitis. I was shocked, they told me that because my gums were bleeding after probing that means gingivitis. Well yeah, your gums will bleed if you’re sticking something sharp in them!!! Anyways, they gave me a treatment plan that included a special cleaning for gingivitis. I was kinda of skeptical about the situation but I went along with it. After my exam, I checked out and left. Couple days later, made an appointment with a different dentist. I had my teeth cleaned, X-rays and an exam, they told me I DID NOT have gingivitis and even if I did, it was gone. Please don’t waste your time going to coast dental, because they misdiagnose patients to get money. Highly unprofessional and a joke.

I brought my 16 year old son in for an exam and cleaning and received great service. The staff is friendly and attentive. I was exceptionally impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of Noel Proctor, my sons dental assistant.

Noel. the dental assistant is a very nice lady who helped me a whole lot in this procedure . I dont know how I could have did without her. Thanks Noel thanks Noel so much you are the best!

This place is very unprofessional with a front office that is disorganized on a regular basis. On top of spending what we spent on braces, which did do the job for sure. When we came in for a cleaning (it has been a long time) they wanted between $290.00 and $350.00 for the exam and x-rays and cleaning. I felt that this was highway robbery considering the cost we have already spent on the braces. The patient has been out of town with work for a long time and that is why they were over due for a cleaning. Very overdue.I just really object to the pricing structure, every little bit charged, and telling me that cleaning is separate from Orthodontics even though they are run by the same staff and same main office. Its just more corporate hog wash to explain high prices.Yes, the teeth were straightened but honestly I do not like how this business operates and the customer is not first. The buck is first!! That is what I have objected to the whole time the braces were on. I do not run my business in that way and anyone who is business savvy knows they should work with the customer.

Noel the dental assistant, Rebecca the office manager and Dr.. Sykes were all very caring with my situation being disabled and taking care of my dental needs. Noel has a sense of humor which makes the entire experience go easier yet she takes care of things professionally and Rebecca took care of some Financial issues that Ive had with billing errors. The doctor took care of my extraction with ease and professionalism. Five star office and thank you all for your caring and professionalism.

Noel helped me with a smile makeover and I am very pleased with it. She was very caring and kept me calm. The experience was not nearly as horrible as I imagined.

I called my dentist office to verify my doctors name and correct spelling because I had only been there once. The receptionist put me on hold immediately. When she came back on the line she had a terrible time even finding me in the system. When she finally found my information she told me the doctors name but due to her thick accent I couldn’t understand her unfortunately. I asked her if she could please spell it out for me. She told me that she had a patient in front of her and to hold for a second. After three minutes I hung up and called again. She answered and I asked her why she kept me waiting so long and could she please just spell his name. She then chastised me and said that she is busy with someone and that she had already told me his name once. She then said she is busy and I needed to hold. I really liked my dentist when I went there before but I will never be back. I was in the process of verifying my insurance coverage for my entire family. I am just so upset by all of this. Unbelievable.Edit to add*Why did you respond to my review giving me thanks? Did you read it? I will never be back to your office. I deserved an apology. Once again, I’m appalled.

The service and staff are wonderful and their work is impeccable. Ive had to have a new bridge and two crowns and you would never know they werent my own teeth. Highly recommend the team to take care of your teeth!!

The staff was amazing and very friendly. Everyone was super professional and loved the warm welcoming feeling and being treated as a human and not as a patient. Nelly took care of me today, she was amazing, professional, understanding and comforting. I would highly recommend coast dental to anyone! Im actually excited to go back next week for the work to be done.

Dr Makaryus and Samantha are very quick and make any excellent team. Samantha is super sweet and everyone at the office is very caring and understanding. I have never been in and out so quick with such quality work. Normally Im very scared and sensitive, this experience was one i had to tell someone about. Thank you everyone keep up the great work.

Front desk staff members are not truthful with information given to patients, as we as completely lack of efficiency, and decency for their patients . If a referral to another office of Coast Dental is needed, you can count on them telling you they sent it, and made appointments, however it takes calling the district manager to get this offices employees to comply, and then they still drag their feet.Horrible experience all the way around!

Ive been going to this location for the past year, the 1st time I went for a regular check up and cleaning and had to retake X-rays and after the X-rays they tired to sell me on getting surgery since my teeth are crowded and would need to space them out i said no since i have no pain and never had any issues. Next they tell me i need to pay over $100 for a detail cleaning plan before they can do any cleaning, so i feel forced to pay in order to do the cleaning. Then i go ahead and schedule my next cleaning which when the time comes they had to reschedule, so had to waiting again and then I go in and everything was fine i got my cleaning and check up and no issues. I go ahead again and make another appoint, and again they call to reschedule and again I wait. This time the come in with a 150 cleaning plan which I say i dont need, and then they check my teeth and tell me i need to pay 50 extra to do a deep clean on two of my back teeth and with out it they cant do the cleaning, but the funny part is i had no issues from my last visit and I have been fallowing what they told my from the last time i paid them, what they are doing is using sales pressure tactics and scare to make more off your visit.

I waited for one hour before being taken in. Then it took another hour to get my x-rays, see the dentist for 10 minutes only, and then have a consult with the hygienist. I could NOT wait to get out of that chair. Staff was unprofessional, office was outdated and not very clean. I definitely will not return.

I just had a root canal done and it went amazing! I never felt the stick for the novacain and the procedure went smooth and painless and staff was friendly. I was in and out and feel great now that my smile is back!

We all love the dentist, right? Well, this is the best office I have been to yet. Friendly, entertaining, generally on time, and get the job done as painlessly as possible. My children and I have been going there for at least 9 years now.

Nokia is the best! She made me very comfortable. She took her time to give me all the information and to discuss my options. She talked me through my cleanings to give me a stress free environment. I can’t wait till my next cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its really sad to see how they change all the staff, sometimes changes are good. I loved the new team. But since Jenny is not at her desk everything has change. I just sign my records to release my info to another office. I loved her energy and enthusiastic, me and my husband with my kids unfortunately are leaving this great office. I sad that the new manager has not answer the phone for me ONCE. I have called to talk to the manager, Rebecca, and she NEVER EVER is available for anybody. Its frustrating to try to have the manager on the phone for a simple question. But again ThankYou jenny for everything, this 5 stars is for you. Everyone at coast dental Clearwater is so nice and professional. I haven’t been to the dentist in years and was afraid to come. I needed a lot of work done but they did a great job and educate me on everything I will definitely stay on top of my routine cleanings with them.

Noel, Elena, Jenny, Cassy and Dr. Rafieian were among the most amazing and professional dental team I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My fiance had an emergency issue and they not only treated him with kindness, but they rushed him back to Dr. Rafieian when there were no appointments available. From start to finish this was the most friendly office I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. If you ever have any dental needs, they take care of them all. They are a bunch of wonderful people who give it to you straight!

Amazing staff and work. They removed my baby teeth (top front canines) that never came out (Im 38), and I didnt feel a thing. I received a flipper to put in place of the baby teeth as a lot of orthodontic work will be needed eventually for getting the adult canines to come down as theyre still up in my guns. But Ive met with the orthodontist and the plan is ready for when Im ready to start that. The dentist is super friendly and the techs are super sweet. This place is awesome.

Today at coastal dental. The staff and service was amazing as usual. I never feel like the patient or client i feel like im visiting family, because of the warm feeling i receive on my visits. The best part is my hygienist Nakia. She is the best at her craft and i always feel safe under her care.

Had to wait 3 months for my first patient new appointment. Called yesterday morning to confirm - I was told they were closed. No one called to inform me. Said they will not be opened until late May. Now it says they are opened? Dirty waiting area. Im looking for another dentist.

Front office stuff needs to be replaced with professionals. People come and wait to be treated like theyre paying money, not like they came to get free services. Doctors are good, great location.

I have been going to Coast Dental for about 10 years. Ive been a patient at the Clearwater Branch for a while now. My last cleaning was yesterday and the service was great. Easy x-rays, and quick smooth cleaning. My favorite part was getting a text message notification a week ago to confirm. Great technology!

The visit was like an assembly line. each step explained and all questions answered. Lots of up sales but that is the nature of a business. I would not have rated a 5 star if it wasn’t for the excellent service from booking to leaving. Nakia did an amazing job cleaning. Very educational and thorough.

I dont really know how good or bad the dentists are here, but setting an appointment with the call center was worse than getting a root canal! I spoke to the call center to get an appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction consultation. After 30 minutes of repeating everything I was telling her, and insisting on the Clearwater location instead of the Tarpon one (because it was closer to my Dunedin zip code but not my house), I finally had an appointment.I showed up this morning for this consultation and there is no oral surgeon on Thursdays. Of course there isnt. I canceled the appointment and Im going to Tampa Bay Jaw in Dunedin instead, in 5 minutes I have a consultation and they have my insurance info.

Staff is always polite and helpful. The Doc is professional and polite, he gives you all possible options and isnt condescending. Ive had some bad dentists and I am happy to have found a doc I can trust!

Dr. Rafieian DDS was outstanding - straight shooter and definitely knows the ins and outs of effective dentistry (with over 25 years of experience). The ladies up front(Noel & Elena) allowed and made room for me to come in as a walk-in when I was in serious pain regarding a broken tooth that was infected. I was literally in and out in under 20min (ex-ray, prep, & seen)..... Noteworthy work COAST DENTAL of Clearwater!!!!!

Im 78 years old. Have been to many dentists. The Drs and staff at coast dental are excellent. They take time to answer questions. I would HIGHLY recommend them

This morning had an appointment at 8:30 got there at 8:15 knowing that im new patient and let some time for paperwork, I was stunned to notice that there wore 193 questions that one had to answer to see a dentist. Got them filled. Also noticed that there wore other 13 people who also had the appointment scheduled at 8:30 at the same time as my appointment,, waited 45 minutes no one called me. went to the desk complained and got my paperwork back ripped them and walk out after the awesome office supervisor talked to me with respect and understanding but that was not enough, walked out and never to come back...... since we the patients should care for doctors time but do they care for ours ??????

This is regarding impacted wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Dale Salomons attitude towards patients is completely uncalled for. He gets annoyed at the first sight of pain and will bluntly tell you that dramatics dont go well with doctors. He has no compassion or patience whatsoever. Pain is mental is what hell say as he walks out of your appointment (which was already late due to the staff not having the Valium prescription ready days prior). The whole staff, mostly female, walks on egg shells around him. I will never go back to this place - if I wanted to be treated like an animal I couldve just gone to a third world country. I will be reporting his statements and demeanor to the board. Imagine if he had to deal with a child? Not acceptable.

Great staff! Patrice scheduled my appointment which was an emergency and was considerate enough to call me when an earlier appointment opened up. Nelly and Dr Makaryus were so nice and helpful and made me feel right at ease.

My daughter had dental work done and they required it to be paid rather than waiting for insurance to come in. She did not have the money so I paid for it. When the insurance paid the bill it said we had overpaid in the amount of $934.90. I met with the manager and she said she would look into it. It has been 8 weeks and she does not return my emails or phone calls. I asked the reception for the regional manager email and it didnt go through. What kind of business is this????Update: _________________________________________Called their quality assurance number twice and all you get is a recording to leave a message. No return phone call after 3 weeks. Is Coast Dental really out there or you just dont care..Another Update_________________________________Filed a complaint with BBB. Coast Dental responded to the complaint by asking for HIPAA form filled out since is was my daughter. I responded that we already filled out HIPAA for at their office when I met with the manager. They then responded that that was not acceptable and closed the complaint. See, they really dont care what people think. Will be going to small claims court next.Another Update__________________________________They did not respond to the Better Business Bureau complaint other than say they needed the HIPPA forms to respond. They had the HIPPA forms at the office and also sent them again to the BBB. Apparently they dont care about that. If you read the reviews about them from the BBB, you will not use Coast Dental.

Staff was nice Dr was nice but seem to care more about making money than about what I wanted. Only basic cleanings are covered by my insurance but they refused to give me one until I paid for a deep cleaning. NOT COOL!

I’m going to tell you if you go here beware. They lie and say you have gum disease and need a deep cleaning just to make money off you. Then there staff and Female Dentist which is also rude. Plus be ready to wait a hour and half for your appt before you even get in the chair then another 30 mins waiting in the hygienist chair. I have changed Dentist. This was the worse experience ever in my life with a Dentist office.

I NEVER write reviews, but i was truly dissatisfied with my visits here. Went here for an emergency visit after a tooth broke. Was a hassle getting a follow up appointment afterwards as during the summer the phone constantly went to voicemail and I had no returns to my calls. Now that I’m finally back I felt like the dentist was super salesy and had no interest in helping me, but was quick to suggest I order more x rays and get more work done, although I had x rays from my previous dentist available and explained I was only there to get that one tooth addressed. It felt like I was going to the dentist for an oil change and the dentist kept suggesting a brand new car. The assistants were attentive and made up for the dentist’s tactics . Definitely taking my money elsewhere. Medical professionals like this one, are the reason why I’m wary of them just wanting money or really doing what’s in the patients best interest.

They have an amazing staff. Truly willing to work with you. They all go above and beyond to make sure your needs are being met. Wonderful job 💯💯
