COLOR WAS APPLIED APPROXIMATELY 1 AWAY FROM THE ROOT IN VARIOUS PATCHES AT THE CROWN , HAIRLINE AROUND FACE, SIDES AND BACK OF HEAD).My highlights looked like something that would be expected from Great Clips or a student in hair school NOT SOMETHING THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM AN UPSTANDING HYDE PARK SALON.Client for over 5 years ...COLORIST (KATIE) WAS OUT OF TOWN AND INSTEAD TRIED ALBAs RECOMENDED COLORIST (Tam) for a full foil.I had never experienced a problem with Katie as my stylist in the past so I paid for service (with an assurance that they would make it right) and I was asked to return.I arrived at the corrective appointment (1st available 10 days later) to learn they did not book enough time to fully correct (would only do part and hairline around the face; and could not correct the dark patches throughout my scalp that were not colored to the root)I was told I would need to make an appointment for a third trip of corrective color. I expressed my frustration and disappointment to the manager (Sarah) who was to perform the corrective color as I was disappointed with their lack of courtesy for my time and their disregard of their responsibility to correct their error. I spent another 2 hours while she partially corrected my part and hairline on sides of face. I was then called the next day and told I abused the staff and made clients uncomfortable; that they would not correct color...refund money.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! THERE IS NO COMMITMENT OF MAINTAINING A HIGH LEVEL OF SERVICE AND NO LOYALTY TO LONG TERM CUSTOMERS!!!

I went to Alba for my first ever facial. I got the signature facial and have never felt more relaxed! Taylor was awesome and gave me fantastic skin advice. My skin feels amazing! Will absolutely be going back.

I just moved to the area in June and got an awful (like REALLY bad) cut from a different salon that fall,and also had a dumb idea to box dye my lighter brown hair black. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Well I came here to get it all fixed, and with the condition of my hair, I really wasn’t expecting much. But WOW. Emily did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job and I cannot rave about her enough! Not only was she extra attentive, she thoroughly explained the process and what she expected. She was very honest, up front, and professional. I really felt that she went above and beyond and I felt so pampered. She was really sweet and easy to chat with, too. My hair looks and feels better than I could have even expected! Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else, this salon (Emily!) is your best option!!! For as long as I’m in this area, I refuse to go to anyone but Emily!

I received a full balayage, toner, and cut from Jessica on 2/24/21 and I could not be happier with the turn out. I have never loved a cut or color more than I have after this experience! Definitely on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and the salon was very clean and organized. I loved the modern decor and color schemes. Overall, incredible experience. Cannot wait to try their other services! Highly recommend Jessica!

Alba is such a cool space- super clean and sanitized as well. I made my appointment with Tam and she gave me the best haircut! It’s taken me awhile to find a hairstylist in the Cincinnati area and now I won’t be going to anyone else.

Tam was wonderful and professional! She styled and braided my hair just like the Pinterest pic I showed her. Got my makeup done by Sarah I think, sorry! But she was absolutely delightful and made me look beautiful for my wedding anniversary. Highly recommend.

I always enjoy my appointments at Alba. In these days of COVID-19, I felt very satisfied that the salon is taking all available precautions. These included: waiting in car until stylist is ready for you, masks required for entire visit, temperature check at the door, mandatory hand sanitizing upon entry, stylists wear masks the entire time, reduced number of stations used, barriers at checkout. And everyone was still so friendly and provided the same great Alba service were used to!

As the Mother of the Bride for our daughter Sarahs wedding, I couldnt have been more pleased or happier with the service, professionalism and perfect outcome we had for all of us! We all had our hair done for the wedding (October 5, 2019) and many had their make-up done. We really enjoyed our time there. The stylists are all kind, engaging and respectful of what we wanted done. THANK YOU! We all felt and looked beautiful thanks to you all. Highly recommend them!

I love this Beauty Studio because all of the staff is so friendly and helpful. I love that everything they use is natural and organic. It makes it easier to get my hair done only using cruelty free and vegan products. I always go to Sydney C, to get my hair cut. We always have the best conversations and I always leave feeling my hair is healthy and perfectly cut. Ive also gotten my eyebrows waxed here multiple times, they do an amazing job to make sure they are perfect and that I am happy with them. On top of getting my eyebrows done, I also got my nails done and they look amazing. My nails are still in perfect condition after 40 days of having them done, besides my nails growing in. I come here for all my beauty needs, and I absolutely love it!

I have been struggling with my skin lately and decided I deserved a facial! Sarah Dean did an AMAZING job with making my skin look and feel so soft and so beautiful:) the ambiance was very relaxing as well! I will definitely be back very soon and book with Sarah!

Fantastic Bridal Experience with Alba Organic Beauty Studio!!I booked Alba to do my bridal hair style as well as style my bridesmaids. They did an amazing job! I chose Alba because I am also a loyal customer and think their salon is one of the best in Cincinnati! I regularly see Ruth who gave me the best hair color treatment of my life!! So, of course, I will continue to go back to her!!The bridal experience was really excellent! I went in to Sarah (my stylist) to do a trial run about a week out from my wedding. Honestly, my vision come to life really was not what I ended up wanting/liking and Sarah and I talked through the process together and she told me she would change and tweak the things I didnt like.On the day of my wedding, Sarah gave me a perfect style that really fit my personality and managed my EXTREMELY thick hair! She was able to do an updo and not make my head look like it was wearing a hair helmet.Overall, the salon and stylists couldnt have been nicer, more professional, and/or accommodating to me as I prepared for my wedding. I had full faith that Sarah was the BEST and she totally delivered! I love ALBA and will continue to be a loyal customer long into the future!

Lashes! Been getting lash extensions for years. And totally stumbled upon Alba. Taylor the anesthesian who I go to Ive decided is the very best. She loves what she is doing and it shows. Because when she is finished. My lashes look beautiful!!!!

Honestly, Im really sad I have to write this review. I met one of the nicest hairdressers here, Sydney. I am going to miss seeing her! But after COVID shutdowns, I called before the salon had reopened to make an appointment for a partial baylayage and a cut before my wedding on June 6th. Space for appointments was already tight, so I had to take a spot during my work hours and ask off for the appointment since it was important to me to have this done before my wedding.Well, four days later I get a call from Alba telling me the company made a mistake in scheduling me, and that there is no availability on the day I was scheduled, and furthermore there is no availability at all until after my wedding. I had already asked off of work, and now I am left scrambling to find another hairdresser that has availability.I dont think it is right at all that Alba continued to schedule appointments for customers who called after I had, and then called me to revoke the appointment they had given me at a point where they had no other dates left to offer me. Alba should have taken care of this issue themselves instead of forcing me to lose four days that I could have spent looking for a different hairdresser. Wont be going back here again, unfortunately.

ALBA CAME TO THE RESCUE! My wedding day would have been a mess with out the help of these wonderful women...on my wedding day the hair and make up team I originally scheduled ( not ALBA) didnt show up. Some how they had the dates mixed up. One of my bridesmaids suggested I call ALBA to see if they could help. THEY SAVED THE DAY! ALBA sent two stylists to help with our make up! The women were super friendly asking me all about my big day, they worked quickly and were very professional. Because of their quick response I was able to stay on schedule and get my pictures completed on time! It as extremely hot and muggy and my make up stayed perfect the entire day! My wedding party looked beautiful and I am so thankful that ALBA was there to help!

Alba is amazing. Ive been going for 3 years now. They give great cuts, styles, and color. Ive done everything from blowouts, full color/highlight, and more and everything is great. Amazing products also! Totally recommend.

If you want a stylish men’s cut for a good price, ask for Katie. Nice location, and they serve drinks and coffee while you wait. I can’t speak for their women’s cuts, but judging from their Instagram page all the stylists do a really nice job.

Issue Resolved! I have spoken to the owner regarding this issue and have been given a refund. It has been easy to deal with Anna and I do appreciate her concern regarding this issue. —Unreal experience. Paid big money for hairstyles for bride and bridesmaids. The stylists Chelsea and Brittany left before finishing the brides and mobs hair. They then claimed they checked with me(MOB) and I told them to go. That did not happen. When called to come back, they refused then began sending my daughter text after text of unapologetic text blaming the bride to her phone ON HER WEDDiNG DAY!! 12 people witnessed this event that day. I have no clue how some people can live with themselves. I would only use them if you’re okay being screwed over and finding a last minute replacement. I can’t believe I paid that much money for them to screw over my child ON HER WEDDING DAY and then give an attitude about it !!

I see Benny for my facials and I’m SO impressed with the gentle kindness, the peaceful environment (literally, I have fallen asleep), and healthy results! I love this place and love Benny! Thanks again Alba!

Amazingly unique experience. Everyone is SO sweet and helpful. Great taste... in every aspect of the word!! The decor is fab and you can purchase one of a kind alcoholic beverages while saloning.

Im so beyond upset with my haircut cut. ITS NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WANTED!!!!!!!!!! I had a picture and its Not even close to what the photo is. Its WAY to short and the back is shorter than the front and thats not at all what I wanted. I just hope when I get home I can do something with it. Its a mess I just want to cry!!!! The girl that cut it was very nice but she just didnt follow directions or even ask questions and didnt even show me the back of my hair. I had to stop and my daughters to try and do something with it before I can even go to the store and it still LOOKS REALLY BAD!!!!!!! I Will Never EVER go back or tell anyone to go to the salon!!!! I just want to cry because my hair is nothing like what I wanted, paid way to much for a haircut that I HATE!!!!!! And now have to let it grow out again to get it the way I want it.Wanted to add that one of the owners called me and was very nice. They had me come back in to see what they could do to help me with the cut. They did adjustment on the cut that helped a little but it still isnt laying the way I want but will live with it until it grows out some. Cant say I will go back. They still wouldnt say that the haircut clearly wasnt what I wanted and that part I didnt like, but have to give it to them for trying to make thing right.

LOVE LOVE this place! Its an all organic hair salon and spa! Im super picky about who does my hair, coming from LA, it always scares me to go elsewhere. Well there are so many awesome stylists here! I started going when I was pregnant to get my hair done and then discovered they have Organic GEL Nailpolish! They also have an organic spraytan made from walnuts- no chemicals! This is now my favorite place to go for hair, nails, spraytan, and facials!

I LOVE this place! I was looking to find a non-toxic salon because of some health issues I have, and searched on google and found this salon and have been going there now for months! I have had pedicures, manicures, facials and a massage, all by Abalene and shes FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend any of her services to anyone. I always look forward to my appointments there!

I got a spray tan, I got the medium shade, costs about $50 which is done by a person.It came out horrible! It was so splotchy, not blended everywhere, and half my body wasnt even covered. I have gotten versa spray tans in the past and I havent ever had any problems. Very disappointed in how it turned out. Cost way too much for this horrible outcome.I got it with my sister who had the same issue, it would be under her name Christina Ide on 3/17/20.

I visited Alba 2 weeks ago for a shellac manicure. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and offered a drink from their drink menu. My nail tech was Jyana and she was above amazing! Not only was she professional and kind but my nails looked awesome. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Sarah is amazing! Love the products- but pricing is always iffy.... If you book a cut and they dry it the price apparently goes from 60 to 75... Becuase it’s considered “styled”.... Both times I’ve been this year I’ve been overcharged.

This is the perfect salon to get away for a while! You can order drinks before, during or after your appt. They have plenty of seating areas to relax in, and its just calming when youre there, like you want to stay and hang out. I had seen Benny at his old salon, and when they closed I saw he moved to Alba. Benny is awesome at waxing and facials! He is professional and friendly at the same time. I never felt awkward or uncomfortable in the room with him. I even told my friends to ask for him when they needed services and they loved him as well!

I booked with Josette for the makeup for my wedding, along with several in my bridal party. She did EXCELLENT work! We had a very diverse group of woman, ranging of different shades and skin tones, and Josettes skill made every single one of us look fantastic! So grateful to have her magic a part of our special day!

Street parking is the only reason this cute salon gets 4 and not 5 stars, super great staff, good vibes and drinks while you wait! Highly recommend

Bad haircut. She took 5min cutting my hair with no shape, 7min washing, and 20 min giving me a bad blow out and then flat ironing my hair. No hair stylist flat irons if they know how to do a good blowout ... ive never had a haircut be under 40min

To celebrate a friends pregnancy, I scheduled three pedicures with additional massage time. I worked with the office to schedule, because a pedissage was not available for three people at one time. The owner agreed to provide a pedicure with additional massage for $60, compared to a pedissage which is slightly more. This was scheduled at least a month in advance. I then re-confirmed my appointments and the additional massages a few days prior to the date. Upon arrival, we realized that there were only two available employees to provide the pedicures. Thus, one person had to wait alone while the two of us got pedicures. There was no additional massage provided, and because they had to complete the first groups pedicures, and then an additional person, we were there double the time planned. The women completing the pedicures were very friendly and sweet, but unfortunately, the experience was soured by not living up to the expectation of the reservation.

The flowers were a minor issue that was resolved within an hour and of no concern to the stylists, and it was literally just chick fil a without plates that was just a side comment made, so Im not quite sure why youre trying to detract from your own faults and blame us for the chaos when the only resulting chaos in the day was a result of your salons actions? At no point were the stylists left alone for 90 minutes, and no one was made aware they were leaving. There was absolutely no sympathy or kindness shown from the salon from the faults made, and my mother received a call from you asking her to retract the COMPLETELY TRUE reviews left. So sorry to ruin *your* day after you screwed up my wedding hair - extremely self-centered. Had the situation been turned around by apologizing immediately and someone coming back to fix my hair, I would have been pleased with the outcome, but all Ive received from your salon is detraction and defensiveness. The text I received wasnt even from Chelsie on the day of - it was a completely random number sent AFTER you all had left. My mother has discussed in length with you our issues, and you still choose to find fault in us for your error, despite having 12 witnesses. Additionally, your rude, petty email response to my coordinator telling her she was bad at her job, and that my wedding was the most chaotic and unorganized (maybe not the best thing to say to a customer — the wedding was actually great, by the way) was very telling of how you treat others and reflected poorly on the business as a whole. Strongly encourage others to not patronize this business.BRIDES BEWARE!! I booked Alba for my wedding day hair for my 7 bridesmaids, mother and I, and it was the worst experience ever. After getting the structure of my hair finished and the initial curls done, it was pretty explicitly agreed that I would be coming back for help getting my veil in, touch-ups, and help showing someone how to put my hair clip in.After I left the room to go get my makeup done in another room, and then to go get pictures so that my photographer could keep us on schedule, I headed back to get touch-ups on makeup and hair, only to see I had a TEXT from the salon stating that the hair stylists had left because they said they had received approval from my mom (which NEVER happened), and my bridesmaids said they liked their hair. Regardless of the fact that my mom never said that, WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE WITHOUT ASKING THE BRIDE?! To summarize their text, I was basically told that they had left for those reasons, and they would not be returning for any touch ups because other appointments were happening, and no other stylists were available to make the 15 minute drive to correct their error. To make this even better, both my and my mom’s curls had fallen out at this point (only about 1.5 hours later for me).The bridal assistant to my wedding coordinator had to call the salon, and was left on hold, then told she would get a call back. In the end, she was put on a surprise 3 way call discussing the varying points of view from the stylists and, you know, all 11 witnesses (including my makeup artist). I am/was by no means a bridezilla... but why would you ever leave without approval from the bride?! Also, texting to let me know you left on the busiest day of my life instead of calling is completely unacceptable - pick up the phone and call!In the end, I had to fix and touch up my own hair, and then have my cosmetologist cousin come early to my ceremony to fix the frizzy mess that had resulted from my hair not being fully finished. We received a little under $300 for our refund (after paying $800+ for the entire bridal party). I am happy we received a refund, but that in NO way will ever make from the incredible stress that was put upon me on what is supposed to be the happiest day of my life when the details were discussed days prior. I will never patronize this salon again.

Unwelcoming and very uncomfortable environment. The way the girl (katie) was touching and looking at my hair was very rude. Looked like she did not even want to try and do what I wanted, which was a balayage. When I showed her the color I want using a picture in my phone, she kept showing me a different picture in her phone and suggesting that I go for that color (dark brown) instead . She mad me feel like as if I didnt know what I wanted and kept repeating loudly (mind you there were a few customers around) that the picture Im showing her looks like her hair color which was not true. Her hair is full platinum and what I wanted was a half balayage. Even if a platinum was what I wanted, she should not have made me feel like I shouldnt/couldnt have a platinum hair as it is not her place. There is more I want to say but..... ...she was low key a bully and I was not a fan of that at all!Anyways, she called back 30 min after I left to let me know that she couldnt do it on my hair. My overall experience wasnt good and I wouldnt suggest anyone who doesnt have a blond hair to go there!!

After having a negative experience for over a month with a Groupon purchase. I decided to find a place with professionals who really care about their customers needs. My friend reccomended Alba Studio so I thought for sure my experience was going to be wonderful. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I made an appointment for cut and color with Jossette and the most convenient day for my appointment was on a Saturday. Later I found a 20% off for the first visit. However, when I looked at the coupon it said it could not be applied to Saturday appointment.I called back and talk to the receptionist. I told her my ordeal trying to book a hair appointment for the last month and what happened with Groupon. I ask her to consider honoring the 20% off and ask the manager or owner if I could use it? Julia came back on the phone and said They could not accept my request because Saturdays they are just too busy I was very dissapointed.What did she meant?I was going to be charged $110 for cut and color not including tax and tip so if they took my 20% coupon I will have saved $22 and Alba Studio would have got $88 plus tax and tip which still a lot money it is a whole day of work for me to make one hundred dollars.The bottom line is that is not how you treat your customers. One time savings would have meant a long time loyal customer. For this reasons I do not reccomend your salon to anyone. I hope the owners realized there are better business practices.

Stated online they offer acrylic nail services, when asked girl at front desk said yes, until looking at me a little longer and said, “actually, we don’t do acrylics.” When I had just asked her if they did. I feel judged and obligated to leave a review stating: this is a yuppy establishment where people who don’t look like them aren’t welcome. Couldn’t tell you how the services are because apparently I’m not worthy of them.
