I am not from the Cincinnati area and a close friend recommended Robin James to help me with my wedding band needs. I had a very elaborate ring in mind, using two rings that belonged to my grandmother. I wanted a ring jacket, so a ring above and below my engagement ring using my heirloom diamonds. My engagement ring is not a typical shape, it is curved, so my ring jacket would have to be molded around it. I wasnt sure if I would find some one in Cincinnati for the task. Boy was I wrong!!I went and met with Jim to discuss my idea and he drew out a rough draft. It was AMAZING SERVICE, I was so impressed!! First they did a CAD design (which was great to see all the details), then a 3D wax mold was made so I could try it on to see how it would fit around my engagement ring, finally they sent it to be fabricated. I was reassured that my grandmothers rings would be taken care of. The process took a couple of months, well worth it, Jim made sure to get down to all of the details with me so it was what I wanted. I was aware ahead of time the cost, and it was really honest and a reasonable quote. I was very happy, they were doing a lot of work for this piece and it was within my budget.When the fabricated ring came back, I still wanted a little tweaking done to the ring. I was a little nervous to ask about doing some changes but Jim was so understanding. He wrote down my notes and immediately sent my ring to his shop. They are absolutely incredible. He kept in close contact with me the entire time and genuinely cared about my happiness in the end.I picked up my ring today and I was floored. It is absolutely incredible, a little unusual, but uniquely my design. It is exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend going to Robin James for any custom made jewelry. They were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond my expectations. They are amazing at what they do. If you are considering resetting stones, go with Robin James Jewelers! Robin gave us a really fair price on a repair that was done fabulously. That made us come back. My girlfriend then bought a nice watch for me from her. When I decided it was time to ask my girlfriend to be my wife, I spent several weeks with Robin patiently and expertly helping me pick the right setting and the right stone. She never asked for any payment up front, and didn’t make me haggle over prices. My now fiancé loves her ring. The watch she bought me was having problems with the band. It had been six months since she bought it. Robin tried several times to have it repaired, after the third time, she just told us to bring it in and either pick out a different model of Citizen watch, or she’d give me a brand new one of the same model. To say we’re satisfied customers would be an extreme understatement. Neither my fiancé nor myself would EVER consider shopping for jewelry from anyone but Robin. Obviously we’ll be getting our wedding bands there as well. Robin James Jewelers is a throwback to real customer service and warm friendship. 10/5 stars.
