On day 1 of our cross country trip at 8pm my car broke down on the highway. After a long hour and a half back and forth with my insurance company (who also provides roadside assistance) S&A were dispatched and subsequently cancelled by said insurance company. Instead of adhering to incorrect instructions from insurance company, they called me and verified that we still, in fact needed assistance. We decided to to see if our car would start while we waited (we were trying every 15 mins) it started and we drove about a mile down the road to safety. We informed S&A towing and instead of checking us off and staying home, they still came out to check in on us and offer any insight.What a great experience considering the unpleasant evening we were having. Would highly recommend!! and we made it to California without any additional issues ! (it wasnt the alternator ;))

Driver Mason was wonderful and helpful. When I told him I was out of heating fuel for my house and had the cans in my trunk he offered to stop at a station on the way and let me fill them up. He was very kind and helpful. Very respectful man. Thank you so much.

I rode with the gentleman (I believe the owner) who towed my car 45 minutes to the repair shop closest to where I was staying for the evening and he was so kind and helpful. Offered to drop me off closer to my destination and then continue on to drop my car at the repair shop which was even further away. I really enjoyed our conversation. He made pleasant a stressful situation breaking down on a long rode trip in an unfamiliar town. Especially for a woman traveling alone. Like they say, you never remember that road trips that go well, but you always remember the problematic ones, and Ill always remember this one especially because of his kindness!

Just another bunch of a-holes who would never be considerate for you. I can’t get my parking sticker due to the closed property management office, however even after I explained the whole situation they still towed my car, TWICE in a row! In my opinion they are just bunch of greedy motherfkers.

Pleasant and timely folks. They go over and beyond to help. I had a flat tire at a campground in Hillsville Va, after my insurance called many “local” companies with no success, S&A agreed to come out even though it was slightly out of their service area. Can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to help me.

I was broken down late in the evening after work around 7:15. It was 27 degrees. My road side assistance sends the tow through an automated system. No one was picking it up because my destination was 55 miles away. S&A took the tow, were to me within 30 minutes or less of accepting it, and drove me all the way home safely. I would highly recommend!

What a top notch company. I called for towing service after a the Night of Destruction event. The driver had to wait out the traffic, then find me in the parking lot. He was able to determine the issue with my vehicle and did it all with a smile. I would highly recommend S&A Towing to anyone and everyone who needs a towing service.

Ive never felt physically threatened in my entire going to school at VT. Regardless of what might have happened to the two large drivers of the tow truck, I was approached in a physically and verbally threatening manner in my own apartment complex by both the drivers of the tow truck.I thought this was a safe environment. But after this random instance, I am seriously re-considering the safety of Blacksburg.Keep in mind; I have a registered parking permit, go to school full time for an MBA, and work two jobs. The last thing I need at night when I am trying to go outside for a breath of fresh air is for two grunts to come and physically threaten me.

They sit on my street and loiter all the time. It makes us uncomfortable and they are very disrespectful to our guests. We forgot to put a pass in our car and they tried to tow our car (understandable). After letting them know about the situation, they said “We’ll be back”. I feel sorry for whoever has to deal with these people.

Billy was dispatched late into the evening to help me with a tow service. Not only was he kind and expedient, the service was thorough and everything was explained to me at each step. No one hopes to get stranded, but Billy made getting back on the road easy. Thanks!

Was outside with my boyfriend on our porch sharing a cigarette. The tow truck randomly slammed its brakes and both drivers came out and started threatening my boyfriend you wanna get your a** beat?. We were completely caught off guard and felt unsafe in our own living space. He lives in the apartment complex and has his own parking registration, completely dumbfounded as to what made the drivers hop out and get feet away from him threatening physical harm.

I would like to thank S & A towing for all of there help last night. If it was not for them my 6 yr old daughter and I would have been stranded on the side of the highway and being pregnant does not help. They worried for our well being and kept things at an affordable price. Thank you so much

Place was kinda run down and creepy and ya know they towed me, but all things considered they were very polite .

I wouldn’t use this company for anything. This company tows cars in areas that do no say anything about towing or spots being reserved. They are just trying to make money off of people who are not in the wrong. On the plus side, you can easily pay the P.O.S tow truck driver to put your car down.

Excellent service! I had a flat along 460 between Giles and Montgomery and it was dark. Billy arrived within 20 minutes and had me back on the road in no time. Friendly, and efficient and I am grateful!

One star is to much towed a car with ower right behind them tryiny to fix to get moved towed off of someone else land just b/c they got a call about it and not even 5 min away charging 135.00 for towing never call them they want money and dont care how they get it

I called the company after getting a new car and gave them a description of my vehicle along with my home address. After not having my vehicle towed for a week and seeing the tow truck confirm my vehicle the decided to tow my vehicle mid day on a Saturday. I called them and described the situation and they refused to cooperate along with denying ever having talked to me. Absolutely unethical money grabbers.

Worst towing experience I have ever had. Waited over two hours to come and have my parking lot cleared so I would have a place to park. After 3 calls, come to find out the person I was talking with was 2.5 hours away and was shocked to find that no one had showed up yet. Instead of calling his coworker to come right away, he informed me to park in a spot to which I was unauthorized to park in, which normally I wouldve been towed in, and that he was calling his coworker then, only to tell him NOT to come out and tow anyone just so that I would not get towed. All at the same time, neglecting to inform his coworker to actually come out and do his job, when he was originally supposed to have been informing him to do, in the first place.

Basically stole my car and held it for ransom. I was forced to have them tow my vehicle because the police and rescue squad wouldnt let me have the people I wanted tow it. Instead of towing it to my home, which was about 8 minutes from the place of the accident, they took it all the way to Christiansburg and told us we had to pay $500 to get it back. They took my keys and claimed I had taken the keys and that they didnt have them, and the tow truck I called to take it off their lot only cost $85 compared to their $500. Also, they didnt mention at any point that it costs an additional $50 for every day you leave it there. Dont call S@A unless you have around $600-$1000 to waste.

They stalk parking lots in Blacksburg . Beware if you are parked where u dont belong, even for a few minutes. They dont use a flatbed, so they will damage your car

They tried to tow my car before it was even hooked up and charged me 160.00 drop fee. The driver was hateful and rude even though i was nice to him. Thieves and bad service. If i ever need my car towed it will NOT be from this company

Would leave a zero if possible..VERY overpriced and pushy. Tried to trick us into giving title to wrecked vehicle to knock 200 off of huge bill. Went out of way to cause more property damage and run bill up. Shady characters...have connections with local emt dept...so be careful not to wreck or be prepared to be scammed...
