I reserved a vehicle 30 days in advance. I called again 1 week before I needed the vehicle. I get to the desk the vehicle they want to give me has a hard hold. They attempt a second vehicle with the same result. The only vehicle they have left is a large SUV. They did give it to me at a reduced rate due to no vehicle available. 2 days later I get a call they want to exchange it because they have a reservation for it. I just put 15 gallons of fuel in it because I had a trip planned for Saturday. They promised to bring me a car with a full tank. Not o⁹nly did they not fill the tank I had to fight for a refund on the fuel I put in the vehicle. The vehicle they brought me was a Echo Sport. Huge difference in tank size. I do them a favor by letting them take the vehicle because of their issue and this is how you get rewarded. I do not recommend this business.

Its out at the airport which is close to me. The guy at the counter was great. Car was terrible for a long trip. Nissan Versa. Lots of road noise. Didnt corner well. Almost blew off the road a few times from the wind. Never offered me a free upgrade like other car companies do. Car wasnt deep cleaned. Mirrors were spotty. Found a hanger inside the car. Will not rent from them again. Unless they give me a better car.

Over the phone, to reserve a car, customer service is just awful (soooo $@# slow, just painful!) but the guys where I went to pick up the car, theyre just great...very efficient!

The only reason why I did not give a 1 star is because they instantly got me a rental last minute. However, when I received the car, it was a total mess. It was obvious that they did not wipe down or clean the inside of the car... I was in a hurry so I didnt have time to complain and have them clean it.This car was a mess! I mean its ridiculous because hello, covid?!

I have rented many cars through my employment and this place was terrible. The employee was not professional at all and did not seem to grasp the transaction to be done thru the insurance company. I most definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

They lied to me about returning my vehicle and overcharged me. On going process full of lies. I will remove this review once they settle my bill correctly. I may raise it a star or two accordingly to their service. Do not support these crooks. I’m planning on reporting them to the better business bureau if nothing gets settled correctly.

I have worked with the Chico Hertz on a professional level, the company I work for sets up rentals using this Hertz location. All of the staff at this location are super friendly and accommodating. Especial Chelsea, she is such a pleasure to do business with. She always does EVERYTHING she can to see that our customers are taken care of. We dont see this level of customer service in the customer service industry anymore. I hope to see her promoted! She is the valuable asset any company would look for!

My wife rented a car for a 4 day trip, paid, day she was leaving they would not let her take car because she only had a debit card and not credit card. Enterprise rented to her with no issue, and was very helpful. Woman at Hertz who assisted my wife was extremely rude, and short with her, would not recommend them.

I was Referred by my insurance. My first rental was unprofessional. The staff at the front desk did not greet other customers and myself. She had a attitude and talk in a unhappy tone. My second rental was due to the check engine light on so I had to return the car. That was when staff Shelby assist me with my second rental. She greeted me and was friendly. If I had a choice I would not recommend this rental location as I have heard of rude services. But overall thanks to Shelby, she was helpful and sweet.

We rented a car for 11 days for our road trip. We picked the car up at the Chico Airport Hertz and dropped it off at the Hertz near the convention center in New Orleans. We had a bit of a wait picking up our car (which we had reserved in advance) because there was only one person working at our pick up location. The car was great (a Buick Encore) and had no problems. We got a discount with my partners USAA account, which was nice. Drop off in New Orleans was quick and easy. Will definitely rent a car from them again.

Staff was outrageously helpful. Chelsea and Angelina went way above and beyond the call of duty to help me get the vehicle for my needs I had an emergency out of state and didnt have a lot of time to plan, but the staff pulled through and met my needs. kept me from having to worry about transportation.I would like to thank the women of Hertz for making a bad situation a lot better.

Call in advance to confirm the vehicle you booked is actually in stock. I booked 2 different vehicles and neither were available the day i was scheduled to arrive. CHELSEA was very rude about the situation. Work on your customer service or do something different. Try Avis, Budget, Alano, etc.

This was a very nice experience and very calm. The staff was very helpful and nice. I think we were in and out of there in about 15 minutes. Dropping the car off it took them no time at all. Maybe 5 minutes at the most.

The two employees were very friendly. They were able to give me a ride home even though I had neglected to request the service in advance. They recommended which nearby station would have the best gas price after I forgot to fill up.

My overall experience with Hertz was good. The type of vehicle was different from what we reserved, as room for five was important. The car we did get was comparable and adequate. We found that the first time I had to brake hard, it felt like the front end was coming apart. I would rent from Hertz again in the future.

Honestly it was a bad experience. We came in to get a car they said they had and reserved for us then gave us a smaller car on top of that the car they gave us had dog hair all over it. I asked to talk to their regional manager but the store manager told me she cant give out her number so all in all I think its a bad practice also bad customers service i would never refer anyone to this hertz unless its the only for insurance purposes.

The Chico staff is awesome! We fly our own plane into Northgate Aviation and they always have our car waiting for us and no need to return it because they come and pick it up. Its an awesome service!

Rented through Priceline (third party) and our payment went through (with our debit card). Showed up to pick up our car and they said their policy is we can only prepay with a credit card. I know this is common with companies but it wasnt anywhere on anything and our payment went through. They couldnt even rent us a vehicle because we didnt want to use a credit card. Also stated they tried to call my husband and the phone number that was correct but said the phone was out of service. Its not. We drove over an hour to go pick it up and left empty handed and frustrated. The woman who helped us was very sweet and I know she was only doing her job. If Priceline accepts the payment and pays it out (it says Hertz on our bank account) then they should not accept payment through them since thats the majority of how people pay for things. Wont be going back.

I was given a vehicle that pulled to the right, the exchanged for vehicle that had blown speaker. I returned both cars with full tanks and was charged over $16 for fuel. They wont get my business again.

My wife had gotten sick and we were cancelling our reservation, so while we were in the place they said they would refund our money, but a day or so later they sent me a email saying that they would not. Also do not use a debit card to secure your reservation on line, the agent said that it is in the Fine Print they wont except it but still charge you for using it.

Horrible experience at Hertz in Chico. Joanne at the front desk is incompetent and so are the managers. I had a rental car provided to me by my car insurance company after my car was totaled by a drunk driver. The staff at Hertz insisted that I purchase their insurance package even though they were aware that I had current car insurance. you can use your own insurance for a rental car and dont need to buy the rental car cos expensive packages. Long story short, they charged me $600 for a car that I had for 2 weeks for the additional insurance that I didnt need. They are a bunch of scammers! And I swear that Joanne is not mentally apt to do her job, she couldnt even print me a receipt of the charges, she wrote it on a post-it note. I was infuriated and called to talk to a manager and even the manager couldnt answer my questions about the charges. He gave me the runaround on the phone and would not apologize for all the inconveniences they put me through. I will never give Hertz my business again, Enterprise Rental is a million times better than Hertz, I highly recommend them if you need a rental car.

Its Saturday Aug 25th, I called told the lady I was in Hamilton City, Ca on my way to Hertz in Chico and Id be there shortly after noon and she said she would wait for me, I got there at 12:16 and no one was there, thanks HERTZ!!! Ugh, I had friends come get me 20 mins away, then drive me all the way there, why cant ppl keep it real

Ive never had such poor customer service in my life. We were the only people in the entire building yet not only were we treated rudely but couldnt even get straight answers. They told us they couldnt even get us the class of car we wanted until we paid for the car in advance and then they would check. One of the women kept interjecting over the person helping us in a brash rude tone. When I took a picture of the Hertz rental car sign to submit a review she threatened to have me arrested for taking the picture from a distance. If theres some rule to not taking a picture of a business its news to me! Avoid this location. It makes me want to never do business with Hertz again.

Initially when I called the location the attendant was rude because I wanted to pick up a car later in the day. When we went I to the location she was still rude and un profesional did not state to me over the phone the stipulations she needed and when we got there the cars where not even ready for any with booked appointments! So sad they just need better staff!

Poor customer service and communication between their own company. Their call center called me stating they have my reservation and to call an hour before pick up and they will pick me up. Called and Robert answered he took my reservation number and stated I could hold for 10mins or he will call back. An hour later he called back stated I should have made this reservation weeks ago and he isn’t sure what car I will get due to it being the holiday weekend. I stated when their call center left a message for me she stated to just call an hour before I need to be picked. And I did have a reservation since I had the number and it was made a week a half ago. He was very argumentative and kind of agressive with me. If I didn’t have to use this company for a rental I wouldn’t. Worse more uncomfortable experience ever!

Very disappointed in the service and the car. Apparently Hertz recently reclassified their cars, and my intermediate car that I reserved turned out to be Nissan Versa Note, which was too small even for myself and supplies I was taking to a wedding. If I had any passengers, it would not have been big enough. The car ran rough, the weather was not idea...had rain and the wiper blades were bad. Made for a stressful trip and my feedback to the counter person were not taken with any desire to make me want to use Hertz for future rentals. Renting a car was not a necessity but a luxury which was a waste of money.

I have rented from every major rental car company and some not so major, I always get top notch service with heartz. If your going to rent and your not a member of their loyalty program STOP! and sign up for the program, it is worth your time. With the program I show up at any heartz and they have my car ready, hand me the keys and I an out on my way in less than 5 minutes. Drop off is just as easy. Todays rental went just as smooth, the gentleman that helped me provided excellent service. The lady at drop off was very professional and had me on my way in about 2 minutes. The only service we have left at our chico airport terminal is heartz, so there are no lines or wait times.
