By far the most professional rental agency in town. Their pricing can be a little higher. Its well worth not having to wait in line when you have a reservation like their competitors.I have also used them for Chico State events since they offer company discounts. I will be requesting them in the future when going through my insurance, too.

They didnt have my car when I showed up, so they upgraded me. They didnt have the upgrade, so they upgraded me again for no charge! Went in thinking I was going to get a Rogue and ended up getting and really nice Infinity! Great customer service! Car was great!

The people were extremely nice. My issue with my experience was that when I got there my car was at a dealership for repairs and had to wait over 45 minutes to get a vehicle. This caused me to be late to pick up my parents at the airport. The next day the check engine light came on and stayed on. I had to return the car and get a new one. A few days of driving the new car, the check engine light came on. It was just issue after issue with the cars.

This was the third time I was to be renting a car from Enterprise. The first time was in 2019 when I rented a car for nearly two months and a cost of nearly $2,000 which established me as a member. Last April I rented a car for 17 days at a cost of $600. as an established member discount. Today I went to pick up a car Id reserved for a week to take care of several doctors appointments this next week. However for the first time they were making me come up with proof of residency and insurance authorization I never needed previously even though none of that had changed. My AARP card is on file and I have a perfect driving record.In the end I wasnt able to meet their new ridiculous demands and missed an important medical appointment scheduled a couple months ago. Staff was cold and rude and this new policy unreasonable. I will be looking for another rental car agency from now on. Enterprise let me down when I needed them most.

I have never had an issue with this location. Theyre always friendly and get me on my way fast and safe. The one time there was a mix up they gladly fixed the issue with no problem and all was well. I wont go to any other car rental place in chico.

I have always been very satisfied here. I have even rented panel vans to do a little local moving. I like to rent for a long trip so as to put the extra mikes on my own car. I also got great service when I had a car accident and they collaborated with my insurance company.

Enterprise was there for me. Picked me up from home, to the local Enterprise Rental office, after my personal vehicle needed to be towed to a service center. I needed a vehicle - California has been ablaze and I was afoot. My vehicle was serviced under warranty and recall. All cost covered by the Dealership. ALL COSTS. Including my Enterprise rental, which was a 2020 Ford Fusion! Great vehicle to use temporarily. 29 days actually. When my personal vehicle was repaired, I was able to drive the rental 45 miles to drop it off and take a 10 minutes ride (with an Enterprise associate) to the dealership, where my serviced vehicle waited. My deposit was refunded in less than two days! Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be the first call I make if I ever need a rental. I tell my family and friends, From start to finish, drive Enterprise, they make renting a vehicle an exceptional experience.

Made my reservation and made sure to ask the requirements for the car I got. But they called last minute to ask for a major credit card which was not a requirement when I had spoken to them prior. What a waste of time with this company, have to reschedule my whole trip due to their lack of communication.

There is absolutely no point in making a reservation for a specific time as to when you arrive they will still have you wait for a vehicle to become available. Make sure to give yourself ample amount of time to wait even with a reservation. I had to cancel an appointment due to the wait time. Not sure if they don’t understand the reason for a reservation in the first place. Never have I experienced this when using the location on the other side of town.

I took a friend there who had a car held for him. I waited for him to go over the rental with the service guy. I got the thumbs up & drove myself back to my city. All went well & I was glad the for my friend!

Quick and efficient service. Ordered the car at 12:30 pm and had it by 1:30 pm. While waiting in the office to get the car (with social distancing and masks), I observed how professional the staff were with clients in person and on the phone. Great car, too. I will rent again soon!

I had a reservation and I had called Enterprise prior to the rental to get picked up at the collision center. I was told to call in the morning so I could get a ride promptly. When I called in the morning I was told by the receptionist that a person was already headed over to pick me up and was told it will be about 6 to 7 minutes. I waited 45 minutes and no one showed. I called again and was told it will be another 10 minutes and they finally showed up. I was upset because I told my boss it would not be a long amount of time and I did what enterprise told me to make sure I got the ride within a reasonable amount of time

Excellent place in Chico to rent a car... employees are super friendly and very helpful... the car I rented was clean and ran excellent... they do charge an extra 200 deposit, but that gets returned upon return... I will be back for future rentals

I made an appointment and then waited an hour until my vehicle was ready. My truck was in the shop and they didn’t have any “like” vehicles. So it was a tiny car or a minivan. All the employees were hanging out in the lobby while people were waiting for their vehicles. The excuse was that they were taking extra precautions to clean and sanitize due to COVID. There were 6 employees in the lobby doing nothing, get back there and help so people can get their rides.

After waiting 2 1/2 hours after our reservation time we were given a filthy dirty vehicle with less than 3/4 full of gas. I mean dirt everywhere. They blamed it on Calfire using the vehicle before us... We returned the vehicle at the same fuel level and was then charged $14.00 for fuel. Way to make the customer happy... Not!

Great place, their service was fast and friendly. I rented a car for 5 months and only had to go in once to change vehicles, I wanted something smaller. They made that happen that day which was also great. The price was affordable, I saved lots of money.

I dont work here anymore but when I did, this company was really nice to me. I was a service agent and sometimes the newer employees above me would power trip, but when I lost everything in the paradise fire, the company gave me a disaster relief check which I never expected them to do in a million years, I think I was just really pessimistic, but overall it was a great experience to work at.

There is nothing special about Enterprise, either positive or negative. Like all car rental firms they train the staff to aggressively hawk a string of damage waivers, most of which cover losses that are already covered by the renters own auto insurance. Check your policy so you do not overpay for the rental!

They’ve always been there for me at the last minute I need a car they come up with one. The only thing I had a problem with was XM radio it would fall off and I paid for the last time I forgot to tell them oh well.The cars are always clean and has a lot of gas in it so I don’t have to stop right away. Everybody’s been kind and helpful

I really appreciate the staff at Enterprise. Ive observed them during high demand/peak hours multiple times at the Esplanade location. And no matter how busy they are, they always maintain excellent customer service! Very professional and admirable. Another positive is the office space is really big, so theres plenty of room for people.A little less positive is the decor, which is rather dull. I could imagine a better overall pleasurable waiting experience if there were more seating made available and travel posters or framed pictures for viewing and daydreaming during the wait time. Enhance the wanderlust!

I would love to leave a higher rating but theres still some issues that need to be improved; at the Esplanade location specifically. We do a lot of business thru this location. We also have become worn at the wait!Seasoned staff is not always nice and pleasant. The office itself is not clean. There is no true greetings at times and in the big waiting room you sit....and sit!!There is no room for confidentiality as you often hear them tell people why they cant have a car after they were observed online...As I was taking care of the last time, the three or four times before the cars should not have been offered as they were in poor road conditions... Very rough rides for our long-distance travels.We were actually surprised when we dropped off the car last time that we were greeted and completed our return within a half an hour!Most times you know you will be there at least an hour!

I dont know what happened to Enterprises customer service. This company used to be my preferred rental care site. Not anymore... Last week, on Monday morning, I arrived at my prearranged time to pick up my rental car (9:00 a.m.). I got there early, about 8:50 a.m. I was not able to pick up my car and get out the door until 9:45 a.m.--and, to add insult to injury, the car only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas! This is the third time in a row that I have had an appointment to pick up a car on a Monday morning and it has taken almost an hour to actually pick it up and leave, and then all three times I have had stop and fill the tank with gas! Upon returning the car, I expressed my displeasure at this delay for pick-up, and I was told that Monday mornings were always busy and chaotic and there wasnt anything they could do about it. Say what? If Monday mornings are always chaotic, how about having your staff arrive early enough to ensure that everything is ready by the time those of us in need of the car arrive to pick up the car (including ensuring there is a full tank of gas)? All three times I have tried to pick up a car on a Monday, I have been facing a long drive and adding an extra 45-60 minutes to pick up the car and then having to spend another 15-20 minutes getting gas is unacceptable. This shows a lack of attention to customer needs and results in very poor customer service. In the future, I will rent from one of the other car rental agencies in town and see if they are bit more respectful of their customers time.

Their employees were friendly and understand that their customers are often in a hurry. I was upgraded to a minivan as it was most readily available with no charge (we really wanted the van but settled for a sedan upon making the reservation, so lucky for us!). Debit customers will be charged a deposit on that debit account. In my case, my deposit was $200 and I received $198 back the day that I had dropped the vehicle off and it was available the next day, although they warn it may take up to 3 days to settle back into your account. They are true to their unlimited mileage promise, no hidden mileage fees. I drove the minivan to Arkansas and back! The vehicle was in excellent condition. The vehicle was at 1/4 tank when they gave me the keys and they asked that I return it with 1/4 tank (no problem!). Dropping off the car took 5 minutes and they even offer a ride, just in case your rental was your only transportation. Thanks Enterprise, Esplanade!

Will never use Enterprise again after being a customer for years. Returned car on Sunday morning to Chico location a day early . Dropped car and keys . Received phone call Monday after 5 pm saying I had damaged the car. I believe car was vandalized on lot. Manager basically said to bad I’m responsible. Will never use them again. I absolutely did not return a damaged car.

Dont ever expect your rental to actually be ready when you reserve it. They are good about upgrading because they already gave all the cars away. But be prepared to wait even if you did every thing ahead of time.

Frustrated that the Sacramento airport location does not accept debit cards unless there is a return flight booked. In my experience so far, all other locations have accepted them. I do not do credit cards. Luckily my colleague had a credit card we were able to use. Otherwise, I’m not sure how I would have gotten back home. Everything else about Enterprise service is great.

Working with an agent that closed my rental agreement out a week later and they billed me for an additional week. Still no correction to my credit card and she replied that it’s an accounting dept. issue now. Why wasn’t this taking care of the morning after I dropped the car off ?

They have definitely improved a lot since the first time I rented from them about three years ago. I have rented cars from this location multiple times now and so far Ive experience excellent customer service. They are very friendly and helpful, Ive never had any issues with any of the employees. The service is fast, Im usually out of there in five minutes with the car. Of course it all depends if theyre having a busy day, even so they try to get you out of there with car as soon as possible. They also call the day before your reservation to remind you and go over what you need for the rental. Ive never had an issues with the cars. Keep up the good work!

I enjoy renting cars from Enterprise Rent a Car. The customer service is perfect. The people are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Enterprise offers transportation from your home to the rental office and back again when you drop off, without any added charge. The service is fast and they always get me on the road when I need to be. I have found the Enterprise Rent a Car to have competitive rates almost always less than other local car rental services.

I am very surprised at some of the letters here. I use Enterprise Chico about every three months and at all times I have been treated with courteous agents. Yes they are busy but that means business is good. It is true you have to have some kind of poof that you are O.K. by the laws of their insurance Company but that is only prudent. Rhodes, Alie and all the ladies were very nice to me. When I have ever been there I never heard any one complaining.

The customer service is always impeccable. They staff is always focused on the customer and works to get you in and out in an efficient and friendly manner. I shop other car rental agencies and Enterprise in Chico on the Esplanade always wins my business.

I love Enterprise Rent-A-Car!!! I love their service, their staff , their efficiency and their cars. The ONLY reason I dont give them five stars is because of their extraordinarily expensive insurance. Otherwise, theyre great!

Being nearly a weekly renter, I can say that most of my renting experiences there have been positive. The team there works hard and is efficient. They really do work at top tier customer service and it shows.My only criticism is that they seem to have out grown that location. Parking is a bit of a challenge there. That being said, the team at Enterprise on the Esplanade is great.

Great experience with Enterprise on The Esplanade! Easy in and out; I had a reservation, and I was on the road after picking up within about five or ten minutes. The car was perfect for our trip (an economy car with great gas mileage), and relieved a lot of stress that comes with driving in traffic in your own vehicle. The staff was very polite and attentive, both at pick-up and drop-off, and dropping the car off was even faster than picking it up. I only use Enterprise for my car rentals, and with service like this (the same quality its always been), that wont change.

People in Enterprise Esplanade site are very professional. Had my reservation online and I pick up the car an hour early yet everything went smoothly. My only request with their office is that every rental should have a full tank when leaving the lot. Easier to return with a full tank than guessing how much to have to put in as much when you borrowed the car. Anyways, minor stuff....still excellent in service.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has always served my transportation needs very well. Their physical location is convenient. The office is in an older car dealership which has been somewhat remodeled. The lobby is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I have found the employees to be extremely courteous and cordial. They always greet me with a smile and inquire as to how my day is going. Since I have an Enterprise account, I always reserve ahead. The check-in process is quick and easy. The employees always do a decent job in documenting any vehicle damage I locate during my walk-around. Typically the employee will try to sell me one of their insurance policies. I have good insurance which covers me on rentals, so I politely decline. The transaction is concluded by signing on an iPad. No paperwork is exchanged, rather a receipt is emailed. My only criticism is small in nature. They dont give you the vehicle with the gas tank topped off. Instead they note the level of the gas and you are supposed to bring it back at that level or higher. Its a bit of a pain. Sometimes the vehicle may have less than 1/2 tank. That means the first place I have to go is a gas station. But this is certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, I am very satisfied with Enterprise and I intend to continue renting from them whenever I need transportation (which is usually several times each year). I am comfortable recommending this business to you.

I travel a lot, locally and coast to coast. I have dealt with MANY rental car companies. I always prefer the excellent service I get from Enterprise. Locally they know me and Im always treated like a friend. Abroad they dont know me, but Im always treated with respect and courteous service. Cars are clean and well maintained. I would rent from them exclusively, but sometimes my work makes deals with other companies when I am abroad.

The car was fine and ran well, it was not ready when I arrived. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the car. It had a broken windshield and factory stickers stuck on the doors and trunk, they had not been cleaned off. I was given a 20 percent discount for the broken windshield woo hoo! It seems they do not ever know how to clean the class inside and out filthy. So much for the customer experience!

Had a car reserved for a noon pick up. There were zero cars of that type available and all the drivers were gone to lunch so we were invited to drive across town to pick up a car that was an upgrade (which turned out not to be a free upgrade). So bottom line... Im not sure they understand what a reservation means. Other than being a huge waist of time the car is comfortable but was dirty. When I mentioned that they said, Well if youre willing to wait we could wipe it down.

The people at the Chico branch could not be nicer. They are patient, kind and helpful. I am always very happy with the service there. I have no idea why anyone would go any where else. Ive used them many times and they are always very quick, friendly and professional. Plus I always receive a nice new car for a wonderful price!

Prices were fair, there was no pressure to pay for upgrades/extras, and no surprises in the bill when I returned the car. Checking in and out was straightforward and efficient. The representative I dealt with was friendly and professional. The car was clean, fairly new, and in good working order.

I was having issues renting that morning as I forgot some paperwork. They were patient and worked well with me. When I finally had everything, they quickly got everything done so I could be on the road with the car. I was on a time-sensitive situation. I had a life changing job exam that I had to get to with the State of California. I was already running later than when I wanted to be on the road driving.While I was only a couple of minutes late to the exam, I still was able to take the exam and scored really well. The car was great. Everything was in order. Great service. They really helped me out when things werent going smoothly that day.

Enterprise is the only car rental service I use. I am there at least once a month renting a car and every experience is a pleasant one. Ive never had any issues with renting or any of the cars that Ive rented. Everyone there is polite, professional and friendly. I think just about most of them know me by name because Im there so much but I appreciate the fact that theyve learned my name.

I have found reading the reviews interesting and accurate. This is a good place to rent a car, and I do so numerous times a year. But I think the problems arise because the staff is ALWAYS changing! Its almost a new group now every time I go in! No chance any more of being treated like a returning customer...and valued. Or you get someone who treats you wonderfully (!) at one time, but hardly acknowledges you the next time you come in.Ive gotten pretty good deals; up grades when a car wasnt available at no additional charge; efficient service, cars in great shape. I strenuously object to a $200 charge to drop off a car for a one-way rental (what a rip-off!) when I drive to Southern CA. If anything keeps me from renting, its that! I would probably be in more often than I am now if it werent for that charge.

Been renting from Enterprise for awhile now and have not seen any improvement on the processing of wait time getting a car or bring back a car. Often there is only one agent behind the counter while others patiently wait to be served. This will require at least 15 to 20 minutes or more...But, when it is my turn, the service is top notch and impeccable !!!
