I needed a suit for my dream job and I needed it in two days, in fact I need several more. I called and spoke to Beau, explained how drastically I needed help. He said come down and we will do anything we can to help. I walked in and was completely blown away with how well and professionally I was treated. They took the time to really explain each option I had and the pros and cons of each one. They really wanted to make sure the suit would be perfect for what i need to do while wearing it. Beau made this an amazing experience. And PRICE...now you would think with the atmosphere and the way they treat you its gonna be seen in the price. WRONG...I couldnt believe what a great price I got on a VERY stylish very awesome power suit. If its important to you to have a suit that fits and looks sharp as a razor, if you want the best customer experience with top notch experienced attendants, then please come down. I would say ask for Beau however, all the employees are spot on.

Looks like a seriously cool place! Excellent service, with problems solved respectfully and personally. If I could get my hair cut while mulling over what kind of artsy cool jacket to get, I certainly would.

We originally were renting our suits from a different location that ghosted us following COVID-19. We had never been to Formal Education before, but they were highly recommended to us! Thankfully, their team came through!!! We loved our suits, and everything was perfect!!! We will only do business with Formal Education moving forward. Thank yall!!!Special Shout Out to D.L. Bryce Velasco really made my first experience with Formal Education AMAZING!!! I came in to check out their suits for my wedding pictures. I didnt know if I wanted to buy or rent and he gave me the complete rundown on what was available, pricing, shipping expectations during this COVID-19 time, alteration time requirement. He was very thorough. I had my wife with me and we were talking to each other about colors for my suit, accents, cost budget, and the ENTIRE time he was listening to us and making modifications based on the details we were discussing with each other. If we were talking about purple ties he was already getting them out before we asked, and when I was talking about needing a haircut for the photos he was already looking up their barbers schedules. WHAT I LOVED is that he is a person who loves fashion, so when he gave me his opinion it WASNT because he was trying to push a sale but because he was very passionate in wanting to make sure I got exactly what I envisioned and and that I would look good for my photos. They have nice and different clothes here, everything is just really over priced. Some of the items might be worth what they are asking but others are just too much for what it is. The shoes are the only items that seem to be priced right.

I had an excellent experience renting suits for my groomsmen and myself. They have ton of different options and the customer service is impeccable. Aveed always makes me feel like his number one customer whenever I come in the store. When I want some high quality wears, Formal Education is my only stop.

I went to Formal Education to rent a tux for my prom. Aveed set me up from my bowtie down to my shoes with the perfect look. All the night of prom i walked around and would catch a glimpse of myself in the window, and i thought, wow I am the best looking guy here!

Great haberdashery!!! Finally Chico has a gentlemans store. Every employee I have talked to has been exceptionally professional, honest and kind. They barber now too!!

My father, who is over 80 years old, thought these guys fitted him for a tux. It was the most ill-fitted tux I have ever seen. At least 2-3 sizes too big. Unfortunately, my father did not know better and I live 800 miles away and could not help him with this crook charging over $200. Unbelievable!Do yourselves a favor go to Mens Warehouse, even though it is a chain, they can actually fit a tux and only charge $100. It was too far for my dad to drive there.Disgraceful!!!

I would definitely recommend coming here before going to Mens warehouse. Very professional and friendly. The price was even cheaper than Mens warehouse. Support local Business and shop here!!!!!

Not only did they help my husband and his groomsmen get suits for our wedding - they all happened to look exceptionally handsome in them - but they offer barbers and tailoring in home as well. The quality of their products is top notch and the friendly service each time we went in to the store help made us feel so welcome every time we visited.Their in home seamstress/tailor works magic behind the scenes! I had an alteration on my wedding dress elsewhere and the gal RUINED my dress. Karin was not only able to fix the mistakes and cover up the cuts in my dress but she sized it to fit me (it was fairly large but the last of its kind) and it was absolutely perfect on the big day. I worked with Aveed and Beau at Formal Education to take care of my tuxedo rentals for myself and my groomsmen, and the suit rentals for my father and father-in-law. The experience was absolutely perfect.First, let me start off by saying that Formal Education wasn’t my first choice. I assumed that they would be expensive since they were a local boutique, so I checked out Men’s Wearhouse. On top of being ignored for nearly 20 minutes, they quoted me nearly $350 for my tuxedo rentals when they finally acknowledged my existence. When I mentioned how I was ignored, the guy told me, “Maybe you should make an appointment next time if you want immediate service.” WHAT!? I complained to a friend about my experience, and he said his wedding experience was the same, so they chose Formal Education and were surprised at how much more affordable they were.I visited Formal Education the following day and met with Aveed. I told him about my experience and his response was, “I’m sorry to hear about that, John. I don’t like to talk badly about other businesses in town, but I’ll be glad to make sure your wedding is as stress free as possible.” Bonus point for being an ethical businessperson.We went over options and of course the ones I wanted (Michael Kors) were the priciest. Even so, everything top to bottom came to $217, nearly 40% less than what I was quoted at Men’s Wearhouse.Aveed and his store superevisor, Beau, worked with me over the next few months to make sure everything was perfect. My wife and I had a couple color changes along the way with her dresses and they acted like it was no problem at all to change the groomsmen’s colors. I texted the change and they texted back telling me the change was made on their end.Two weeks before the wedding, they sent me pictures of each outfit we were renting to make sure everything looked right. It did. The outfits arrived Tuesday before the wedding, and one groomsman had put on a bit of weight since his fitting. They called in the change and he had a new shirt and pair of pants in the following day.The wedding went off flawlessly and we couldn’t have done it without Aveed and Beau at Formal Education.Do yourself a favor and check them out before going anywhere else. There’s something to be said for working with local guys who care about you and the service/experience they’re providing. I, for one, won’t be in a friend’s wedding who chooses to go anywhere else.

I had the best experience with Formal Education! Going into wedding planning, I had heard from friends that their experience with big suit retailers was overly expensive and having poor customer service. So when I bought/rented from Formal, I was pleasantly surprised by the more affordable prices and the one on one service with Aveed. Aveed met with me multiple times as I decided which suit I wished to purchase and gave me some great advice. What made the renting above and beyond was the suit fitting party! Aveed closed the store down on a Sunday for a private hang out with my groomsmen while they got their suits fitted and had some drinks! I have honestly been recommending Formal Education to every guy I know getting married!

The entire staff has changed since I was in there last, but I had a great experience with the former crew.

Aveed made this process as easy as it gets! He and his staff were knowledgeable, courteous, and made the whole process fun! One of my groomsmen lived in a different city and was unable to come in to get fitted, which was no problem. His suit, shirt, shoes, and everything else needed were sent to him so he could try them on, to be ready for the wedding. A different size of pants were needed, and Aveed was on it! Absolutely stress free! Aveed was more than willing, and capable to answer my questions as well as assist with any last minute changes that were needed. I highly recommend giving Aveed a call if your wedding is coming up, or if you are in need of a suit. This place is professional, and exceeded my expectations!!!

Not only were the suits exactly what we were looking for, but Aveed went out of his way to provide the best experience possible.My groomsmen and I work late and were unable to make it in during store hours, but we didn’t have to worry - Aveed opened the shop back up for a personalized suit-fitting experience. In addition, two of my groomsmen were flying in for the wedding from out of state, and Aveed made sure suits were ready and waiting for them when they arrived. He even offered to deliver the shirts to our wedding venue on the day of the wedding.Incredible business, incredible guy, great products. I rented my suits from Formal Education for my wedding last week, and all I have to say is WOW. These guys are the pinnacle of customer service in Chico! From the day my wife and I walked in to get pricing all the way through our wedding, there was always someone at Formal Education to help us along the way.We first met with Aveed, the store owner, and he walked us through all of their options. We also visited Mens Warehouse. Formal Education was almost 25% less expensive and had way more options. We made a number of changed over the months before our wedding as my wife ended up changing our colors. We spoke with Beau at the store and he said it wasnt a problem at all to make changes.Two weeks before my wedding, Aveed texted me with pictures of our wedding outfits to make sure everything looked right and gave us a heads up on when the rentals would be arriving which was nearly a week ahead of our wedding. It gave us plenty of time to get my groomsmen in and fitted. We had one size change for one of my groomsmen who had lost quite a bit of weight since our first fitting months earlier. Aveed ordered the alteration and his new pants arrived the next morning. I had two groomsmen who got their measurements out of town and Aveed offered to ship their rentals to their homes as they werent arriving for the wedding until the night before.We couldnt be happier with the way our wedding turned out or with the service we received at Formal Education. We even got haircuts and shaves at their barber shop on Friday to get cleaned up for the wedding. These guys do it all. I would give them six stars if I could.If youre trying to decide where to go for rentals, check out the local guys before corporate. Not only will you save money, but youll receive a level of customer service unparalleled in Chico.
