All I have to say about this place is they are absolutely awesome. Got a quote over 6 months ago and they honored it. Had car worked on for smog. When it didnt pass they took it back said will figure out problem n call me when cars smoked n ready to go home. When you live 11/2 hours away this is a huge offer. They send you daily updates also. Will use this garage everytime I need one. Above and beyond is how they work in my book. Some good old fashion ethics exist here. Worth every penny

I had another great experience with D and E auto today, took my newly inherited truck in to have some maintenance done on it cause its an older truck and I want to keep it in good running condition. They did a multi point inspection on it and it needed a fluid flush, which I had done and now it runs like a charm.The thing I love best about D and E is that they really care about you and your safety in your vehicle, they are a family owned business and the owner Aaron takes pride in his work and always takes the time to explain in detail just what repairs are needed, why and what the cost will be , before hand so you always know what to expect and thats why I wont trust my vehicles with anyone but D and E Auto. As a Mechanic in the field for almost 22 years rarely am I impressed by a shop or a shops owner. Aaron the (owner of the shop), Kirsten the friendly face at the counter, and the skilled technicians Estabon and Anthony have left a lasting mark on me ! The quality of work is of the highest caliber and not only that , the quality assurance that is standard operating procedure makes sure that all repairs are done right and that the customer is informed on every aspect of their vehicle. Aaron took on a significant job on my 2017 F150. He did the timing chain, tensioners, hub assembly and im sure a bunch more that i dont realize goes with those repairs. D&E Auto is great! Amazing customer service, very thorough in their work AND communication. I am a teacher and I commute to work, so the drop off had to be later at night. I was able to pull in, drop my key off into their key slot, and leave my car there. It was very safe! I was in need of a 90k check in/tune up for my car and was impressed with how communicative they were with everything they found and needed to be done. They can update you through text which was easier for me with my schedule, and they also texted a link to show me everything they found which was also prioritized! I was then able to Accept/Decline whichever jobs I wanted to be done that day. The link with Their findings also came with PICTURES, which was really nice and showed their transparency. I was very taken care of, and will be back if needed!They also have Keurig coffee ready for you if you needed a little boost! :)

Good prices, friendly staff, seem to be solid. However, if I were to come back again, I would want the front desk staff/staff interacting with customers to be wearing masks. This wasnt the case when I visited and would encourage D&E to remind their folks to mask up!

It’s rare to find an honest mechanic these days. I am very impressed with the honesty, friendliness and professionalism that I experienced today. I needed a tune up, oil change and rear brake job. I won’t even tell you what my dealership quoted because it was ludicrous. I walked out of D&E with a bill under $360! The service was great. Aaron and his staff did a great job and I highly recommend them for quality service.

D&E serviced my 2001 Expedition for it 180,000 miles preventative maintenance. The service was completed just yesterday. I havent had time to inspect the repairs but the service was excellent. Aaron found a fuel leak that was very difficult to detect. This is an indication to me that D&E performs thorough service. This was my first experience with D&E and hope to use them again. Jim Hanna

I’m relatively new to the area and wasn’t sure where to take my vehicle for its oil change and anything else I might need. I got coupons in the mail from D&E and after looking online to see their great reviews I decided to take it there. Aaron and his helper were both extremely friendly with helping me schedule an appointment on the day I wanted and just as pleasant when I picked my vehicle up when it was done! I have a 1999 Dodge 4X4 pickup. I had D&E do some work on it. Aaron did a safety check on it also. It needed a little extra work to make sure it drove safely on the road. I approved the repairs. However I never expected to get back my old faithful truck driving like it was new. He rebuilt the front end, had it aligned, fixed the brakes, stopped the oil leak, stopped the power steering leak, tuned it up and it drives great. He did a unbelievable job. I highly recommend D&E Auto. Thanks for the great service and caring attitude!

Aaron the owner of the shop is a great and honest guy and very knowledgeable.I had taken my 2009 Dodge ram into him with an electrical problem he determined it was a relay for the intake heater he took care of that and did my brakes. A few weeks later I noticed the voltage gauge was fluctuating so he did the diagnostics on it came to the conclusion that it was my alternator but upon further examination it turned out not to be, pulled out the new alternator put back in the old one and didn’t charge me at all.if you need a solid mechanic you need to go see Aaron at D&E Auto.

Well that didnt work out due to a complete lack of professionalism, and diagnose issue. We took our 2014 Chrysler town and country van in for oil change.. great job. 6 months ago we had the transmission replaced by a transmission shop NOTD & E auto. With their inspection they found a large leak in the transmission. Took it back to the transmission shop. They would not honor the warranty said it was the cooling hose. Not with the replaced transmission. From now on we will only take our cars to D & E. They are honest !!

Called to get an oil change and was quoted $5000 (he was kidding). He got me in quickly, did the oil change in the time it took me to walk the dog and charged a really fair price for my F150 that takes 9 quarts of synthetic. Thanks Aaron!

Ive gone to D & E twice now. I had the MOST pleasurable experience anyone could possibly have when having to fork out unexpected expenses due to car trouble. I was referred to D & E Auto Repair by CarMax as they were one of only 2 shops in Chico to partner with the CarMax MaxCare warranty. This just meant that anything that my warranty covered could be repaired here at no cost to me, aside from my $100 deductible. And the parts/maintenance that was not included in my warranty (battery/Spark Plugs) was fairly priced. D & E Auto Repair is newly owned by Aaron, who was EXTREMELY polite, has tip-top customer service skills and is a knowledgeable young mechanic! Thanks Aaron!

I had a problem with my 40 year old 1978 Corvette missing badly. It is not easy to find a good mechanic that will work on such an old car! The Manager at Autozone auto parts store said go see Aaron at D&E. Also looked ar the great reviews. I brought it in this morning at 8:30 and by 1pm I got the car back. Ran the best it has run since getting a new engine put in 5 years ago. Aaron explained the process to find the problem and showed me the bad part causing the miss. Very professional.....I highly recommend Aaron and his friendly team.

I went for a temperature light that kept coming on. They told me that my head gasket needed to be changed (and many other things) for a total of 3500$! I went somewhere else, they changed my fan Clutch and the problem was solved.....100$ total!!!

I went in today, because my car suddendly turn off in highway 99, I manage to take it to this mechanic and he told me that the oxygen sensor needed replacement approximately $130 total (pretty fair) but then he called me later saying that I didnt needed replacement it was just unplugged. He didnt charge me and not many people are honest about work. Im super glad there is people like him still. Any other would still charge me the replacement without telling me i already had it.
