DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT. This company engages in legalized pimping of licensed professionals. The facts in support of this are as follows.LOWEST PAY: They pay you $23/hour. Almost every other agency pays more than these people.DISGUSTING/SWEAT-SHOP-LIKE WORK CONDITIONS: During trainings, these people do not even have chairs for you to sit on... we have had to sit on flipped-over trash cans. (No exaggeration). The room we worked in, AT 17 N. State St. in room 890C, is filled with cheap Costco-looking picnic tables with tiny computer monitors to work on that make your eyes feel fuzzy even if you have 20/20 vision. The temperature was usually too hot in warm weather or too cold in the winter. There are no windows where we worked and no source of natural light. If you propped open a door, management would get angry and a reprimand would be issued. If you needed to use the rest room, you would have to take your key with you because the door locked behind you. Attorneys that worked with you at this location were usually coughing and hacking all day long inside a closed sweat-shop like room. These attorneys usually came to work with carpel tunnel casts on; or are nearly deaf; or they are in some other way manifesting their psychological pain in their physical condition.YOU ARE TREATED LIKE A 4TH GRADER RATHER THAN A LAWYER: We routinely got mass emails that said Please do not bring pungent food for lunch or wear fragrance that is too strong because it bothers your neighbor.SOCIOPATHS IN POWER: The project managers and team leaders present as sociopathic childhood bullies because they take their perceived power far too seriously while they like make $0.50 more per hour than you. One team lead actually stated to a different reviewer loud enough for all to hear: If a reviewer is not a team lead, their opinion does not matter.LEADERSHIP LIES TO MAINTAIN CONTROL: This agency also said that the Big Law Firm that is their client refuses to let us bill more than eight (8) hours a day and also cares what time we clock in. All of these are verifiable lies because I have worked on other projects with this same Big Law Firm client (many times simultaneously while working this project). That same Big Law Firm client at a project through a different agency magically does not give a care when you clock in or how many hours you bill as long as the work gets done. (Seems like common sense).COMPLETELY UNCONSCIONABLE INDECENT TREATMENT OF ATTORNEYS: A few days ago, these people fired 90% of their workers (who were there since at least March 2016) with approximately 2 hours of notice VIA EMAIL. Some of those workers were aged attorneys that are not used to having to hustle for projects on 2 hrs notice. One woman was even crying at her desk. They do not treat you like a licensed professional. But they have a vested interest in you working because for every hour you work, they make probably $200 and give you $23. This is institutionalized rape/abuse in the professional sector.KNOW THAT THERE IS BETTER OUT THERE. Every other agency I have worked at pays more than Special Counsel does. Many places will even give you free food while you work there and let you come and go as you please since you are a lawyer and you may have a hearing or other professional work to do outside of a temporary doc review assignment.WORK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE... AND IF YOU WORK HERE THEN FIND A NEW PROJECT ASAP AND DROP THEM LIKE YESTERDAYS GARBAGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
