Quick and easy to work with

My experience with Michael Page has been anything but helpful, as I’m not sure that the staff does anything other than collect people’s information. I received maybe 3 calls from them in 3 months & they’re never able to take my calls nor do they ever call back. I’ve also never received a scheduled call back.I’ve had over 10 interviews in the last month that I gotten myself. Not even one job lead have I gotten from Michael Page. This begs the question “does Michael Page give more of their time & effort to one specific group over another?” Who must I be to deserve they’re attention?Kris Piet, Recruiting and Staffing Consultant at Job Giraffe is who you should call when seeking employment. Kris always returned my calls, text & emails. Kris always went so far as to personally edit my resume. This single person “Kris” probably does the amount of work that 100 Michael Page employees do, if they do anything at all.

I would give them a 2.5 rating, 5 out of 10 if possible, which is fair and accurate, not flaming or praising them. I have 1st hand experience with them over the last 4-5 years, plus a few others I work with have experience with them.Pros - its a big company, they place a larger number of positions, theyre good with entry and mid level positions, overall a standard recruiting firm.Cons - enough turn over to cause a lack of understanding among much of the staff, dont know markets or skill sets as well as they could or should, theyve been known to post faux job descriptions w/higher salaries to get people in (1st and 2nd hand experience with this).Overall, the economy is good now most companies are trying to fill positions, so if youre looking for an entry level position call them, mid level position consider them, higher or specific position look elswhere...

If I could give this place no stars, I would. JL is the worst recruiter Ive ever dealt with. Unprofessional doesnt even clue you in to what its like dealing with this guy. He told me I was asking for too much of a raise and it just wasnt possible. Well, little guy, I got $60k more than you offered me. I wrote a note to your client to tell them about your behavior. It was always all about JLs time. Bottom line is, come to the table with the base salary I need or you lose. I do not recommend Michael Page. They hire bottom of the barrel college grads with zero work experience.

Jen reached out to me to discuss a position she had not only for her client, but also within Michael Page. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable of her client and we spoke about my experience overall and what I was looking for.She asked me to come in and meet with her and other teammates at their office in Chicago. Jen is defiantly a fresh of breath air in the agency world! She takes a real interest in her candidates and her cleints . I have 4 years of recruiting experience, and it was very refreshing to see someone who takes pride in their work as I do.Even tho it didnt work out with Michael Page position since I decided i wanted to get more into account management and fully on the client side, Jen did a fantastic job keeping me in the loop during the interview process with her client and giving me great encouragement.I HIGHLY recommend Jen if you come across Michael Page and want to work with an amazing recruiter and staffing sales guru. I was extremely disappointed about their customer service. I understand how busy they are, but come on, 7 phone calls and 4 voice messages and still no call back. This is outrageous. And if you are foreigners, you will not get so much help from them. They focus on local locals.

This is not an E.O. Employer. For three months now I have been going back and forth with various representatives of Michael Page on finding me some type of employment in the warehouse supervisor/ manager role. I have 8 years of warehouse management experience via the U.S. Army and each time that a position becomes available thru Michael Page, I am told that I do not have the experience because there so called clients are looking for people with private sector experience. Im still trying to understand whats the difference. If anything, Im trained well above anyone with my experience in the private sector because I am trained to operate in fast paced and dangerous environment. If youre a veteran, Michael Page does not hire us so stay away, do not waste your time.

Profound lack of integrity and disregard of basic business practices. One star does not begin to communicate the low esteem I hold for Michael Page as a recruitment service. As an employer, we contracted with Michael Page (and others) to provide us with talent recruitment services, for which they are paid a hefty fee when they successfully place a candidate with us. We hired one individual through MIchael Page, and continued to review resumes and interview candidates they submitted when we were looking to fill a position. A stipulation to this type of contract is that Michael Page agrees to not contact our staff to place with other firms that they are recruiting for. They breeched the contract while it was in force by contacting our employees and presenting opportunities with our competitors. As a firm that highly regards the values of integrity and partnership, the severe a lack of integrity and disregard for contractual agreements displayed by Michael Page is why I would give them minus 5 stars if I could. A shoddy way to do business.In response to Mr. Ginzburg below: I know for a fact when our contract was terminated as I have an email trail, I also know for a fact that a specific breech occurred prior to termination with a specific employee as that employee decided to stay on here rather than accept the opportunity presented by Michael Page. You may think your recruiters are abiding by the contract requirements, but I know for a fact that they do not. You may have set a high standard, but your recruiters are not meeting it - not by my experience anyway. I never post comments in a public manner, and this is a rare instance where I felt it was warranted, and I will note that I have not hidden behind anonymity in doing so. If you were really concerned or interested in learning more about this situation you could have contacted me instead of posting your response publicly - as a former customer, you have my contact info and every opportunity to address this directly with me, but you didnt. Hmmm... I wonder why?

Got contacted by one of their recruiters on LinkedIn yesterday. As I am not looking for a job right now, I first refused to have a further discussion on the phone. She then persuaded me to do so at a time set beforehand. Result: no call, no message, no apologies. I believe this is very unprofessional and dont like when my time is not respected by others.
