For bed bugs if present. Get some tea tree oil. Spray around bed, feet of bed and sheets. You can mix with half olive oil. Should spray a small spot first to make sure you have no allergic reactions.

Very supportive and friendly staffs, a huge campus and diversity get ready to be challenged. But if you keep doing the right things, keep your head and hope up, things will go the way you expect. I was the only immigrant who lived far from home, I was lucky enough to find the right people to learn and grow both personalities and academically. Staffs know the culture and respect diversity.

HR is a joke and it’s a lot of favoritism there; especially with the Directors and Managers. They allow staff to break COVID rules just because they like them without being terminated. Place is a mess and going down hill. There are hardly any students there and staff quits every other week.

I gave them a honest try back in Summer 2009 when I signed up, went to Paul Simon because I lived on the East Side of Chicago and my mom would pick me up or bring me stuff on the weekends no fuss. I had just turned 21 when I started there. It was fun for me, while I was enrolled they sent me on an 6-week internship to Washington DC with the Department of Labor at their HQ. Total fun in my book. They had me staying at the Potomac campus. DC was great, even had fun in Maryland all at their expense!I got sick so I couldn’t complete the CST program but I did get my GED through them, so that was cool and I met so many interesting people from all over the country. Never noticed bed bugs or mice per the other reviews but the gang and sexual activity I did see for sure. It’s a mixed bag going there, I do believe that in order to make it through whatever program you signed up for, you MUST avoid getting too personal with other students and staff, and study your chosen field religiously. I wasn’t super popular but was liked by most of the people I met there. One of my sisters went to their Greenwood, Indiana campus a few years later, she actually completed the program. I also have a cousin who did the same at another location, so you can make it if you put in the work! All of the negative folks need to stop bashing the place. They don’t have to take you in, and can kick you out just as fast as they do. It gave me the confidence to go anywhere and work with anyone, cross country and all!

The most amazing place to get ahead! Stay focused & don’t get into drama. Always be true to yourself. The staff is great! They are hard on you because they actually care. If I could go back, I would. Staying on campus wasn’t so bad! I met great people & I’m still connected to them including staff! It’s the perfect place when you feel you have nothing left! Go there with your game face on & take advantage of every amazing opportunity they have to offer because there are plenty!! For those with negative comments are the ones that failed themselves, not job corps doing so. It is up to you to want greater. It’s your life not theirs.

I thought it was going to be amazing that I get to start my first three weeks. But no, the staff wont let you go anywhere. During the day they wont let you go anywhere. It feels like a trap. The food is greasy, fried, and not fresh. You have a choice to become vegetarian and vegan. But it still not healthy. If youre planning to stay residencial, lock your closet, buy a lock for your bed drawers. Your roommates will steal from you. The trips to the stores are limited only in that area. Its like a playground, but for grown ups. If youre determined enough, you could get out of there quickly within just a few months.

Job Corps is not really a bad place.. To be honest I actually love Job Corps I have met some wonderful people there. Everything is given to you for free, so why not take advantage of this free opportunity all you really have to do is stay to yourself and follow directions. Plain and simple 💯💯

Im currently enrolled in Paul Simon Job Corps and its a horrible campus. The school itself is a good program but the dorms and campus are the complete opposite. The South dorms which is for girls are infested with mice. You will have to fill the holes yourself with your own socks and what not. Theres mice droppings in your beds, on your blankets, pillows, and clothes. The North dorms are for boys and has ants. While the West dorms which is both male and females is infested with bed bugs. The staff know about these issues but do nothing about it. If one person in your room doesnt clean or get in trouble, then you would have to pay the price, too. The guys just want to get in your parents and the girls just want to start rumors and drama. You will need to provide your own hand soap and a lot of other supplies, too. The RAs and other staff members are completely rude to you even when you do nothing wrong. The food is awful, dog food would taste better than what they serve you. Word of advice, if you plan to go here dont be residential. Youll be very disappointed and depressed.

I went here for a certain study, the computer service tech. It was completely awful, teachers do nothing, staff are rude. On top of that my ps4 was stolen while attending, i was promised a new one and they even showed me they had the money. But still, a year later, they dont return calls or acknowledge the fact i tried to get my stuff back after they said they replace it. By the way, i know a few of the reviewers and they are all right to give this place the 1 start, it should receive lower but google wont allow 0 star reviews

Its not what people say it is. THEY ACT AS IF BECAUSE STUDENT RECIEVE ROOM AND BOARD WITH MEALS, so they dont have to provide anything else. Its all about keeping high enrollment for the numbers so they can keep a high budget. I wouldnt be surprised if some of the money was being used for personal reasons.

I graduated in this program on November last year. During my enrollment taking CST (computer service technician) it was terrible. All my peers in the classroom had one thing in common and that was lack of hands on experience; we were learning from a book that you can purchase. The instructor, Mrs. Murks, did everything she could to teach, but Paul Simon Job Corps dont have the equipment we needed. If you are reading this and want to take CST, do not bother because its a waste of time.

Locked down dumpy place... I originally went to this facility to gain some education about the computer field. The classes were excelent but the center life was horrible and it felt more like a jail than a so called campus as the center director put it. theres fights there every night after the classes and thefts are extremely common. sexual activity in the dormatories as well as gang activity was a norm and spread of bed bugs and sexual transmitted diseases. I stayed for seven months until I found out that my instructor fell ill and was not coming back. the north and south buildings are really really bad the west building where i resided was the better of the three. I left wen they started warning us that there were bed bugs in our building.
