Went there today with kids 9 and 10 yr old - perfect weather, not too hard to paddle upstream, lots of wildlife, kids loved it

Did a 1 hour rental - two double kayaks and one single. We all had a great time, and saw some AMAZING wildlife for the middle of the city! Staff was friendly and helpful!

Really bad experience, waste of time and money, worst customer service ever experienced, very disrespectful, raised voice, lack of skill on explaining what to do and where to go. I waited 1 hour to pay and get my stuff ready and only went on a ride of 45 minutes and still payed full price. Don’t recommend!

Best place to rent a canoe or kayak and see Chicago from a different vantage point.

A great way to see a part of the city you normally drive right through. Incredible and surprising range of birds and other wildlife: we saw ducks, geese, heron, turtles, and frogs. Great pricing and friendly, helpful staff, too

Called ahead we were told our 4yo can ride with me once we arrived it turns out only 5yo and up. Other places around the city allow younger than 5.

Did a two-hour guided paddle with my 5-year-old, we both had a wonderful time. Jessica and Ryan were our guides, they pointed out some neat sights and made us feel comfortable paddling the Chicago River for the first time. Well definitely be back.

Great experience. Staff very helpful picking out boat and equipment. They will give you as much, or a little instruction as you need. Experienced paddlers can just pick out a boat, PDF, paddle and hit the water in 5 min. Chicago river is NOT the Bahamas, but some cool waterfowl sightings and interesting architecture. This North section of the river has very little power boat traffic so youre free to explore both shores without worry. Equipment is top notch and offers different sizes and designs for every experience level. 2 mi. trip North & back takes about an hour with some exploring along the way.If you go for an hour and get back and hour and ten minutes they wont pop you for an additional whole hour, just the prorated time. Facility is clean, accommodating and well equipped.

Had an excellent time. Guides were great, seemed very excited to have us with them. River was dirty , but we expected that. Views were great though, and we had a very good time overall. Would definitely recommend.Pro-tip: if youre using a double kayak, let your wife be the one to steer.

Absolutely love this place. I lost my GoPro right off the dock last year. They let me come back a few days later and walk on the bottom of the river. Found lots of sunglasses and cell phones but no go pro. This year I have a floater for my new GoPro cant wait to go back and try it out This year!

Melissa, Nate, Chris and Jessica-what a fabulous staff, this place is a MUST. They give great instruction, professional, friendly and knowledgeable-all around great time. If you havent gone for a self guided romp down the river go do it and see Chicago from another viewpoint.

Great place to kayak on the North part of the river. Saw a few birds but the water is pretty polluted.

Website clearly states rentals available for 3 year olds and up, but upon arrival informed that it is actually 5 plus. Please update the site. Disappointed kids.
