I went in for a rack and pinion and not only did they do a good job but they also went ahead and fixed some suspension noise free of charge. My car feels like new again. Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust in Chicago. But I can say with confidence that these are good trustworthy guys. Went in for an electrical issue and turned out to be something ridiculously simple, and the guys gave me a very reasonable fee and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in a half hour. No price gouging or excessive fees. Will be taking my car here from now on.

Im glad I discovered this shop. Bought a new used car and I came here to inspect since it’s pretty close to my house. At first I came for an oil change and billy took the time to examine car for free and let me know what I needed. Showed me what to order without breaking the bank. Luckily he cared enough to ask me about the timing belt which I had no idea when was previously done. I decided to replace it and turns out it was just in the nick of time before it snapped and cost me thousands in repairs. Instead of paying over $2000 Billy’s recommendation kept my total at $750. They’re both very nice guys who truly care about your car and money. It’s doesn’t get better than that thanks again Billy and Kamil see u guys in a month or so.

Kamel owner/mechanic is an amazing guy. he been taking care of my cars since 2012. I jumped with him from shop to shop until he got his own location. very honest guy. and if you dont live far? hed personally drive you home while your car is being repaired.hed escort you inside the shop and show exactly whats broken on your car. he doesnt have tinted windows to block the shop. you can see your car from the waiting area.

I dont usually write reviews online (might be my second time ever), but I feel compelled because Kamel and the guys at 22 Auto Repairs are just great. Fast and friendly service. Brought my car in for some issues and they had it fixed within a few hours. Definitely would recommend taking your car there for any problems.

Went to a different mechanic, they told me i need to change the whole front suspension. They quoted me 1200. I came to this olace amd they quotes me 500 and told me i only need to change one part. They also fixed my window, oil change and transmission flush.

My dad’s toyota camry has been having problems with the engine and we took it to 2 different mechanics for inspection and a quote. We were told the engine needed to be replaced completely and it costs roughly $4,000 to fix. They said it wasn’t worth it but we couldn’t afford to buy another car neither fixing it with that price. My friends referred us to 22 so we went in hope for something better. They were really helpful, thoroughly explained and showed us everything that was wrong unlike other places. Seeing we were in a difficult spot, the owner did lower the quote and I’m forever grateful! The car took about a week to be done. They even fixed the trasmission seal leak, which I was told was leaking during the inspection but decided to wait on fixing it another time, free of charge!!! They said since the car already all opened up might as well fix it or else it would have cost an arm and a leg in the future. Now we only go to them for oil change and car inspections. Very good service!

My car over-heated today and when I stopped by my long time mechanics found out they had retired and now under new ownership. I cant say enough about how happy I am with 22 Auto Repairs. First of all let me just tell everyone these guys are amazing at what they do!! The owners are amazing at explaining what is wrong with your car or what work needs to be done, they show you on their computer what needs to be taken off to get to that specific part how long it will take, most of the time it’s done quicker than they say, they will bring you to your car while it’s in the shop to show you what they are doing to your car and show you your old failing parts, they get straight to the point! I’ve gotten an exhaust done with them and a bigger turbo upgrade and they allways call me before they start doing more work if needed, my car needed to sit in there shop for a few days while I order an extra part I didn’t know I needed and they were very nice about me keeping it there a few extra days while my new parts arrived in the mail, there work is very professionally done! Had no problems with my car everytime I bring it to them and if I do they tell me to bring it right back and assist the situation very fast and efficiently! Really recommend the shop wether your just doing an oil change or performance upgrades! This will be my go to shop anytime I need work done on my car! I recommend anyone to go here there prices are way way better than any of the competitors in the area!!
