Huge scam and will charge you $100+ a month for service that works maybe half the time. Called and went into store many times to resolve the issue and had no luck and basically told me to live with the price and pay it when I only wanted the 49.99 with 5 a month for the box that was in the contact but keep charging me $100. Don’t waste your money here go to century link they are pretty much the same price and haven’t had any issues with them yet.

I just closed my account w/ Spectrum after 5 years because Im moving across the country. My bill starts on the 1st of the month, I wanted it cancelled on the 3rd. Spectrum apparently does not pro-rate your last bill. What?! Last day of moving Ill have no internet :( 75$ a month and you guys wont pro-rate? Yikes.

An absolute pleasure walking into Cheyenne spectrum. The employees are outstanding in their performance. I notice the anger and impatience with the other customers, and cant help but feel petty on them for their small minded insolence. Bless those who work at this spectrum because all they face is terrible customers as Ive witnessed every time I have been there. The employees are so helpful and kind even when dealing with outrageous smarmy people,and not to mention they are doing their absolute best to help out even when there is only a few workers. I hope they get more employees to lift the weight off their shoulders. But till then keep up the good work 💪 and your hard work doesnt go unnoticed by people with actual brain function

Well I like charter internet, but they slack in compentance. They shut off our internet by accident because someone else reported their router stolen. So they accidentally turned off ours. And now we have to wait 5 days for them even to send someone to fix it. Absolutely ridiculous. My lady works from home and now she can not because of their incompetence.we are losing money because of them and they think a prorate is enough to satisfy,the amount isnt even what,we would be making. I really hope they work out. Their issues from within

Not saying this exact location deserves one star, but customer service is TERRIBLE at Spectrum. Ordered a modem, it didn’t work, reordered one that apparently never got ordered, and now finally 2 weeks later I got one ordered. Absolutely hate this internet company and I’m not going back once this year is over. The store itself in Cheyenne is nothing great either.

The signing in system was not used. When theres 6 other people waiting with no line, this makes it difficult to ensure people are helped in the right order. Service was good, exchanged my equipment as needed.

User unfriendly. Don’t know how to get to the three guides. If you press guide in the remote, it doesn’t go to the guide. If by some miracle of God you stumble on to the guide, you can’t scroll do on the guide and select your channel. You can’t page down on the guide, you have to go by the guides speed not yours. In plain words you suck. One word for you people, anyone but spectrum.

I would rather leave -100000 stars. It’s awesome that I pay 60 a month for internet that only works half the time! Absolutely love it! And do they offer any solution? No. Internet is a necessity for some people, myself included, in this day and age.You’ll be better off screaming the word “Internet” at your device, rather than rely on their spotty service. I can sometimes get a reliable connection through them; if I go outside during a full moon, holding a crystal and two bags of rice while saying an ancient incantation in a forgotten language. Do yourself a favor, and go with someone else.

At 1:00 they closed the office as I was getting out of my car in front of the door, and would be closed till 2:00.I had a modem to return. I arrived again at 3:10. There was no one in the office, up I was told by the only employee there I had to wait in my car since I did not have an appointment. They have overpriced services, and absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I told them to take their modem and where to put it. I am sure that my next bill they will try to charge me for a modem they possess. They could cut the costs of their services by hiring COMPETENT People.

I have had multiple issues with this company even from the very beginning. Including poor customer services, improper provisioning of a modem, cancelation of services on the wrong requested date .... My list goes on from there. Unfortunately, there arent many other options in the area, just be warned and expect to spend 1-2 hours on the phone with anytime you need to do something or an issue occurs.

For having a severely understaffed store, I respect that they at least keep trying to serve and support their customer base! Of which, their customer base behaves like spoiled children, who throw tantrums if they arent attended to 24/7. There may be wait times, but for their staff size, I get it. People are impatient and entitled, just read the other reviews and youll know.

My mom recently passed away. The immediate finances in my family have been challenging and difficult to manage, and I have been left to personally support not only my family, but the costs of the funeral. I had to cut costs in order to afford to pay for things.One of the first things I did was try and cancel my mom’s $233.72 monthly TV/cable bill from Spectrum.When I called, the first customer service rep informed me that the only way I can cancel is to go to the Spectrum cable store. Since I live out of town in Colorado, and there are no local Spectrum stores, I couldn’t do that. According to her, that was the only option.The second time I called back, the phone just…hung up on me.So I called back. This is what happened:“Hello sir I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you. I can’t hear you. If I can’t hear you I will have to disconnect this call. I can’t hear you so I am hanging disconnecting.” (Item to note: she called me sir. I must have been tagged in their system.)I was never given the opportunity to even say…hello.So to recap…my mom has passed away, and I am not even given the opportunity to try and cancel her account. They’re more worried about keeping subscribers than being human. It was humiliating.I called back, the third operator, just like the first, had no problem hearing me. I was upset, but knew it wasn’t her fault, and took a deep breath while talking to her. She was so much kinder and understood my situation. But the last thing I wanted was to be transferred to another person...why couldn’t I just stay on the line with her and we figure it out together? I begged her not to transfer me. I was just trying to cancel the account. She insisted that I be transferred. I then asked her what would happen if I just didn’t pay the bill, she said it would go to collections.So now, my mom who has passed away, I have to deal with Spectrum communication sending her to collections. As hurt and angry as I am, I take solace in knowing that this is why cable companies are losing subscribers.

When the internet is working it’s the fastest in Cheyenne. But that’s not saying much considering there’s not many options. But that’s WHEN it’s working. I constantly have problems with it going out. And if it’s my router, that was provided by them as well. Oh, and they’re outrageously expensive.

Spectrum is the stingiest and most unreasonable company that I am forced to do business with. Not only have they raised the cost of their plans during the COVID pandemic. But they will also send a technician out and due to it being their issue, say you will not be charged, then charge you for it, and when you call the person says there isn’t adequate notes for them to credit it back. This company needs to be cancelled! Where is cancel culture?

The internet works fine for me all the time and I get constant speeds. The only issue I have is the TV subscription. It cuts out, freezes, and just doesnt work sometimes which is a shame, but it is the cheapest TV option for only the show I watch.

Spectrum raised the internet fee during the pandemic, which is heartless. The staff who greeting customers at the entrance didn’t wear a mask. Also, it is very interesting that they are closed on Wednesday. Plus, they will check your ID when you make a payment.

Ive tried since October 20th to switch my business account from Century Link to Spectrum. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. EVER!!! It took 2 months to get numbers ported over. Both century link and spectrum are awful. They do not know how to do their job and dont communicatewith their team. Ive been on the phone with spectrum a total of 6 hours trying to get this transferred. I know every department. Sad. Now that I am a spectrum customer my phones or fax machine dont work(only has service 2wks) Cant get a tech out here to look. And they told me if they dont find anything. I will be charged. What??! Spectrum is suppose to be working for ME the customer. And try to make my new service right. Only had service for 2 wks and I will looking to somewhere else. Almost 3 months of hell.

The actual internet has been mediocre and overpriced but basically did its job. Its my experience terminating service that has inspired this review, however. I was waiting for my prorated last bill, which the very nice gentleman who helped end my service told me I would receive. Instead I received one for the entire month, despite cancelling 10 days into it. Upon phoning the company, I was told they no longer prorate bills that no matter when you cancel you pay for the whole month. So beware, you might as well cancel on the last day of your billing cycle as theyre going to charge you for it anyhow.

They came to look at it and said there was something wrong and they fixed it, but then said because so many people in building have their service, it wasnt going to be very good. For months the Fox channel (39/539) has pixilated between the hours of 6-9pm. It’s so bad at times that you can’t understand anything they are saying. We’ve replaced the modem and cable boxes, had Spectrum send signals, rebooted, etc. multiple times. Either Spectrum is intentionally pixelating the channel during those times or their signal is not strong enough to support it. Customer service is an absolute nightmare to navigate. Prepare for at least an hour wait no matter when you call. If I had another choice I’d take it. For $200/month I expect it to work!!

My internet was going out constantly for 4 months. The 1st tech came out and said it was my modem and I should buy one from Spectrum. I thought this was odd and explained that my modem was relatively new and the internet was mostly going out in rain and high wind. He insisted it was the modem. So I researched and purchased a new modem which took months. The modem was not the issue. A second tech came out and stated I would need to get a liability waiver signed so he could work on the internet. I requested a form. He said they dont have forms I would need to have my landlord just sign something. My landlord and I worked together to draft a liability form so he could repair the internet. Third tech came out and simply fixed the problem, everything works great now. Called Spectrum about the bad techs and 4 months of broken internet. The customer service guy backed up the decisions of the techs, told me fixing the internet was my responsibility, not Spectrums and that I should have just purchased their gear to begin with. He refunded me $7 for 4 months of broken internet.

Internet works less than 5% of the time, and trying to get internet hooked up in the first place was a nightmare. Unfortunately it’s cheaper to just forgo the internet entirely and use mobile data instead. You’ll be using it most of the time anyway.

Very long wait to fix a problem with my service that Spectrum itself caused--and then tried to charge me for its repair service! Two stars, not one, because when my number was finally called, the employees were very helpful, and sorted out the problem nicely. If and when the U.S. government ever allows free market competition in the cable and communications industry, uncaring monopolies like Spectrum will have to either start providing good service for a reasonable price, or go out of business.

I have never been more dissatisfied with an internet provider in my life! The service was extremely intermittent. Every time we called them out, the guy would replace a coax cable, leave, then the problem would happen again in a week or two. I was finally fed up and decided to switch to CenturyLink, but things don’t end there. First the Spectrum lady berates me for leaving their service, telling me straight up lies about CenturyLink! How much they charge, etc. Finally after 15 minutes of verbal abuse to end their service, they said to send in the equipment when the service expires. I sent it in a day before service ended and the next day they are trying to charge me $120 for unreturned equipment! Just unbelievable. We are EXTREMELY happy with CenturyLink and wish we would have switched sooner! Avoid Spectrum at all costs!

Most difficult process ever that did not need to be. We spent over an hour on the phone with customer service switched addresses and to find out a few days later they didn’t even full do their job and cancel our last address like we asked to move it to our new one.
