I lived here for 16 years. I made some wonderful friends. The apartment is a good value. You can’t beat the location. Rachel and John are tremendous and go the extra mile to help out. The grounds are like a park. I will miss my friends and the lush greenery!

Move-in conditions were not up to par with what they should have been. We had to re-clean the whole kitchen as there was food in the drawers/cabinets and bathroom. I also had to put in about 10 work orders in the first week.John, one of the maintanence crew members was VERY helpful and quick to complete every single work order I put in within 24-48 hours. I was very pleased with his help and his professionalism. I also did reach out to the property manager who very quickly and professionally talked with higher ups to get this figured out and come to a fair agreement for this happening. We talked about how the professional cleaning company they used needed to be changed and how the conditions should have been double checked before we moved in.It has now been about a month since our move-in and everything is going a lot more smoothly now. We are still working on some things that needed fixed and paint being touched up and minor problems, however, the way it was handled was what mattered most to me. I know I can go to the staff here at the Avalon with concerns and make sure they get fixed in a timely and appropriate manner.

I have been living here for almost four years, as of February 2021. I like the location and price of this apartment. And this apartment had been great until one of my neighbors had his/her dog defecate near my apartment and refused to clean up. I contacted the management twice for this matter via email and through the apartments web portal, but there has been no change so far. So, I finally called the management today and spoke with Michelle. After talking with her for about five minutes, I told her to hold on because I needed to find something. But she just hung up the phone, which I think is very rude. I requested her supervisors (or someone she reports to) contact information because I wanted to contact her supervisor if she couldnt handle this. She refused to give that information--she said she is not allowed to provide her supervisors contact information. I doubt whether the management has the will or ability to resolve this issue. So, my main complain is about the managements effort to make this a good place to live. Other than that, I have no complaints.

The Avalon was our first home. We couldn’t have made a better decision on where to first live! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the maintenance personnel responds to requests in a timely manner!We’ve always been very impressed by how clean and tidy the ground has been kept. It makes walks around the premises enjoyable! Also, there’s a nice little park right across River Valley drive from the apartments!The parking situation is good! We almost always find a parking spot right in front of our apartment!The appliances function well, and the HVAC not once has failed on really hot or really cold days!The location is awesome! We have quick access to 64, 364, and 141. Getting to the city is a cinch. Heading west to my parents house is quick and easy.If you’re looking for a high-quality apartment complex with a good location, LOOK NO FURTHER! 👍

What a spectacular choice we made. Our apartment is beautiful and spacious. The location is perfect. We are 10 minutes from our school and our jobs. The new manager Samone has taken great care of us, and John addresses our work orders quickly. Move here. You won’t regret it.-A satisfied tenant

I wanted to leave a review about the excellent experience I had while visiting family who recently moved to The Avalon Apartment Homes. The property manager Samone was wonderful throughout the entire process and went above and beyond in helping them get settled. Besides the beautiful apartment, the community is well kept with great amenities that are aesthetically pleasing. Each time we visited the gym or pool areas the spaces were clean and neat. Overall A+ for The Avalon.

DONT CHOOSE HERE. All they care about is money! As a current tenant who lived here for almost two years, I will move out soon. I plan to move out as the lease end date said, but they charge me an extra month rent, and the rent is 150+ higher than the current rent. They said its in the lease that I should provide 60 days written notice before moving out, but none of the agents remind us even one time before the lease-end date! OK, I understand. However, now they want to charge me an extra month rent and then the price is higher than the current rent? WHY?? That doesnt make sense. Is that a robbery? Even you want to charge an extra months rent, that should keep the same price as our current rent??? I like here before and considered if i should stay. Under the COVID situation I cant make decision soon, but from their emails responses, I will definitily move out, and dont recommend any of my friends to stay here.

John the maintenance manager always takes great care of the apartment. Anything that needs fixed he always makes sure it’s done right. It’s actually pretty impressive and he’s nice guy with a great attitude

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I am a current tenant who has lived here for one year and a half (not sure why am I still here). They never informed me before or after we moved in that we need to give 2-month notice in order to move out.(it never happened in the previous apartments I stayed) And they will not remind you to do so because they just wanted to wait until everything is too late to charge you extra rent. They will not even consider keep the same rate of my current rent even if I have lived here for a while and behaved myself, especially considering this COVID time, which is difficult for everyone. They are cold hearted and all they think about is how they can charge you extra money. Also, be careful to the level of noises here: the ceilings and floors are not well-soundproofed. I cannot go to sleep sometimes because I can hear my upstair neighbors snoring loudly. I also woke up everyday at 7 am due to the noises of car running on Olive.Update: RENEWAL OFFER DOES NOT EUQAL TO A FRIENDLY REMINDER OF MOVE OUT NOTICE. It is true that I was never reminded in any way to send out an move out notice - I consider not accepting renewal offer equals to move out notice.

I’ve been living at The Avalon for right around 10 months now and my time here has been less than pleasant to say the least. I have placed just about 15 service call which does include a service call on my first night at The Avalon. The first service call placed was on the bathroom in shower due to it being so hot it gave me 2nd degree burn. This issue happened on a Saturday which not only crippled my lifestyle for the weekend, the issue wasn’t resolved till Monday since living at The Avalon a resident health isn’t a priority outside of the hours 8 Am- 5pm Monday through Friday. I placed 3 other service call on the bathroom for the shower after that incident as well. The bank right across the street got robbed and the robber ending up being a resident of The Avalon, no memo was sent out just police officer asking residents questions. About half the cars got broken into on the property and no memo was sent out then either but don’t you worry you can count on The Avalon to send you pointless memo regarding decorations for holidays. The treadmill in the gym only works about one day a month, the area for laundry smells like manure just about every night. The 2 most recent service calls I have placed one was on the dishwasher that I do not use and it was leaking black water on my floor Friday night, I ended up wasting serval hours cleaning the mess and getting rid of the smell since no one came to resolve this issue till Monday. The second most recent service calls I’ve placed was on thermostat that is not working after being told that I didn’t know how to properly set the thermostat ended up being that The Avalon has restrictions on what temperature you can have your home depending on time of year. Lastly, my neighbors pipe busted in the apartment damaging a majority of his belongings, there also was an incident where a resident was out of power in their home for over 48 hours. I have lived at 3 other apartments in 2 different states and The Avalon has by far given me the worse experience. If you are considering The Avalon, I would suggest taking the time to look at other properties in the area that will value you and revenue you are providing to the property.

The manager on site, Andrea, is very nice and was pleasant to work with. The company that owns this apartment complex is awful though and will not respond to your emails or calls. Be very careful when reading your lease agreement and seeing what you are signing up for. I also wouldn’t recommend living here if you have a family, there are a lot of drug dealers and there was a day I came home to over 10 police officers surrounding my complex in bullet proof vests.

The apartments are in a nice location and I appreciate having smart home features like a smart thermostat. Maintenance was also very helpful; John came within a day or two every time and even updated some appliances to prevent the problem in the future.

I love living at This Avalon. This property is a great place to call home! Ashley the manager is very sweet and kind always well dressed and the maintenance guy Mario is always on time with work orders whenever I call he come the same day.If you looking to live here don’t hesitate I am sure you will love it as much as I do!

I have been here for 14 days now and so far I love it. My kids love it, and they love they new school. I havent really met any neighbors yet. Its a really good place to live. So I recommend my friends/family or anybody else to come live at the avalon place or come check them out.

First I would like to thank Ms.Ashley H. for working so hard to get me approved to live at the Avalon Apartment Homes. I love my new apartment and the pool is my favorite. I only wish I had a washer and dryer in my Apartment other than that everything is great here!

I’ve lived here when it was River Valley apartments and continued to live here during the switch to Avalon Apartments. I miss the old management. Whoever is running the show now does not care about the apartments, it’s renters or it’s employees. They have been doing useless renovations that mean nothing. Like updating lights to look cuter. The old lights were fine, nothing needed to be changed. Instead they want to waste money and have its renters pay for utilities which were previously covered. Every update they’ve done is simply a facade for new renters’ money. They are also replacing signs they have just paid to have be redone. Currently, my power has been out for over 30 minutes- something emergent right? I called the emergency line and nothing has been done. Also, the gym they added on is a joke. They added it so they said we have one but it’s nothing. All they did was make the laundry room smaller. Treat your current residents with respect or leave.UPDATE: 45 minutes later: we called the emergency line a second time because we never received any notice from maintenance as we were told. The lady in charge of the EMERGENCY LINE hung up on us. She needs to be fired ASAP. Who hangs up on a customer who has no electricity in the cold of winter? Were we upset? Yes! Were we rude to her? No! How dare you hang up on someone during an emergency? This company is a JOKE. Do not waste your time or money. These people are HORRIBLE.

I love this apartment complex. The prices are reasonable for the Chesterfield area and the people are great. The ladies in the office are so sweet and make you feel very welcomed and the maintanence guys are there the same day to fix any issues. They are never annoyed to be asked of something. The residents living in the apartments are wonderful, too. So far everyone I have met has been very nice and welcoming. It is like a small community of its own.

I have been a resident for about 7months and I absolutely love it! The area is so convenient, the grounds are well maintained and Ashley in the office is great she always have a huge smile and she great a following up on everything(maintenance requests, packages, community needs,etc.) Maintenance is great as well.

This is the worst apartment complex within the area. The staff are disrespectful, sneaky, and are unprofessional. The office staff is rude and thinks she is above the universe and makes up stories to her supervisor as if she has done nothing wrong. They charge for pest control and no one has seen pest control come out ever. Mario the new maintenance guy is unprofessional and not knowledgeable on anything ever. They have a hard time keeping residents in this complex, you cant contact corporate as they dont have a contact number and they are not in St Louis. They have made cheap updates to the complex just to charge more for simple half done renovations and have nothing to show for why they are as expensive as they are. None of these issues were a problem and residents loved to stay here when Pam was the property manager, now they are hiring anybody just to occupy and account for space and it is not fair to the residents that live and are paying an arm and a leg to be residents. If I could, this place would not even have a 1 star, very poorly done.

My parents and I used to live here awhile back and it was okay for an apartment complex in Chesterfield. I went to Parkway Central so it was close to my school. Only took several minutes to commute to class from here. Close to bowling alley across the street, a lot of different bars/pubs and boutique stores and a grocery store all centrally located nearby.

Keith The supervisor that works here is a great guy. But unfortunately theres a very bad man working amongst them that they didnt know about until now . I hope this guy Mario gets fired soon .Such a dangerous individual should not be trusted.

It was Horrible. First of all when we got there, I opened up the appliances to inspect the quality of the appliances, and the handle on the over fell down, I just thought It was a screw issue or simply a minor issue. the doors are always coming off the track. throughout last year our rent went up twice, when I was told that it wouldnt.Whenever we requested things to be fixed, they only painted over the problems. they went through a total complex renovation, where they were drilling screws directly into our home where someone could have gotten hurt. they would start from the break of dawn and go through the day. they could come whenever they pleased, make all the noise they needed and all was well, but the moment me and my family made the slightest noise, we kept getting harassing phones calls from the front desk, from the tenants when they themselves made noise. Everytime they found cigarette buds, or trash or boxes or anything that the tenants would leave around they would still harass me and my family. when the others made noise, they got to continue. It just got to a point where the only reason we stayed was to fulfill the contract because to pull out of it sooner than expected would result in 2 months pay per person. I didnt appreciate the customer service after a while. First I was treated like we were welcome, after awhile I feel like we were just tolerated. If someone is a paying customer, they should receive the upmost respect and customer service. As much as we kept paying for the rent and utilities and all the money spent for laundry? You would just expect to be talk to with respect and front staff completely disrespected me when I was explaining my confusion on the arrival and departure from the contract. But I guess thats what happens when money is the priority and not you huh?
