I have absolutely been loving my experience here. Coach G is amazing. Everyone is super nice and it actually feels like everyone is family. I love how the owner(Cat) knows and acknowledges everyone that walks through that door by name.

The Chesterfield location is okay for convenience if you live in the area. However, military personnel, I would advise you to go elsewhere. They’re going to give you quite a time when trying to cancel, and everything will go well until you mention you want to leave or change to another home gym. The manager is always on the phone but never available. The whole experience with Anytime Fitness has been tiring. Hopefully I get some assistance soon, it would be a treat…. Additionally, if the person doesn’t work there, they shouldn’t be signing people up. Apparently the “helper” they allowed to take people’s information did not know what she was talking about, and essentially lied about the cancellation process for military. Catherine please do your job properly and stop allowing friends to conduct business in your absence. Unacceptable.

I came here at 199 and got down to 145. This place is super supportive and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are ready to help if you need workout tips. It is a 24 hour gym so you can get your workout in at anytime. Not that many people so you wont have to wait for a machine. Everyone is chill and its a stress free environment.

Ive only been here a week. But its perfect for me. Open 24 hours, the staff Ive meet is great and easy to talk to. With more than enough equipment to reach fitness goals.

Great gym. Clean and well laid out with a solid set of weight machines, cardio machines and most of all free weights. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

I love this gym so much!!! Cat (the manager) and Coach Gee are amazing. They push me to be confident in reaching my goals. Little back story I left this gym a while ago and came back this year and I’m so glad I did! I mean I drive 20-30 mins to get my workouts in (even when there are closer locations) because I just love the atmosphere here and the people. Overall come to this gym because you will not regret it and lee coming back.

AVOID THIS CLUB unless you are happy to pay membership fees here until the end of your natural life. The manager Cat is extremely manipulative and deceptive, and is making it nearly impossible for me to cancel my membership at this location even though we moved out of Virginia over a month ago and submitted a formal cancellation by email including my husband’s military PCS orders which I am named on. Furthermore, the gym itself is incredibly small with old, mediocre equipment. I definitely recommend finding literally any other gym or maybe just consider taking up wiffle ball or bowling.

IF YOU ARE MILITARY AVOID THIS CLUB. They are NOT military friendly. According to their billing department, military PCS and basic training do not qualify for membership cancelation, despite it being a law to allow it under the Civil Service Relief Act. If you are any type of service member, i STRONGLY ADVICE AGAINST SIGNING AN AGREEMENT HERE.

The manager is great and I like the environment. The little extras everyday are nice.I wish they had more weight machines though. Specifically I was disappointed to see that they dont have a Hip abductor/adductor machines.

Love this gym. Cat runs it smoothly, coach G is fun and interactive. The equipment is well maintained and everything is clean and well spaced.

One of my favorite Anytimes. I travel for work driving truck and theres a large parking lot beside the building. The gym is super clean, great selection of newer equipment, clean showers and restrooms.

The best gym in Virginia and has to be the absolute cleanest gym in town. The staff makes everyone who comes through the door feel like family.... The trainers are very knowledge and you can tell that they love what they do.... I definitely recommend anyone regardless of where youre at in your workout journey to come here!

I love the convenience of Anytime Fitness, especially being on the go. 24 hour access and it seems that there’s one in almost every city, including Chester! Who would have thought?Clean location. Knowledgeable staff, including a college alum buddy Catherine Callaham! She’s not only great at identifying your specific fitness need; but will motivate the hell out of you. Go break a sweat and say hi!

My husband and I visited the Chester location. Everything was very sanitary and the staff were friendly and helpful. Catherine was extremely helpful and informative. I love the family vibe they have at their gym and membership prices are decent.

Top notch facility! Without question, my number one choice for achieving my fitness goals. Friendly staff, superb coaching, and fully functioning equipment. Be sure to look for Catherine; perhaps the best leader and motivator I have come across in the tri-cities area. I highly recommend this facility. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been a long time Anytime Fitness member and travel all over the Southeast for work. I would guess that I’ve visited over 50 different AF gyms and this is by far my favorite. Very spacious, very clean and lots of equipment to choose from that can accommodate different fitness styles/routines. I will revisit this location for sure if I’m staying in the area again. Top notch location with great management!

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness for almost 5 years now. Within that time, I’ve frequented about 11 or 12 of their gyms. This one is easily in my Top 3. Great gym with a great atmosphere. All the equipment you need to get in a good, solid workout. Staff is friendly and helpful. Makes you feel welcomed whenever you’re there. And not to mention, the fellow members. Most people just go to the gym and kind of stick to themselves and stay in their own world. But, I’ve actually became friends with quite a few of the other members. Just through sharing ideas and tips on certain exercises or just a simple, “Hey, what’s up?” after seeing the same person a few times. Overall, I have zero complaints and I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to either get started on their fitness journey or to continue making those gains!

This place refuse to let you end your contract no matter the situation. I also do not like that I’ve made a agreement to pay on the 15 but they randomly take money when they want to. Yet! They charge late fees if you pay late. You’re better off going to the YMCA or Planet Fitness. This extremely small gym is NOT worth the money I pay every month. I pay and don’t even go anymore unfortunately 🙄. I hate that place!

Almost dropped 40 pounds with immense help from trainers who are great motivatorsthe zumba classes helped me tone my body. love the staff and the aura of the place.Go check it out by yourself!! The staff and members are absolutely amazing. I just joined a few weeks ago and I was on a machine and the club manager walked up and asked if she could show me something and I said yes. She showed me how to effectively use the machine so that my body would actually begin to tone. I love it and I’m so thankful for the Anytime Fitness Chester family.

I have been going to this gym for almost 4 years now and it has improved significantly. The manager Cat is amazing, as she is always helpful and friendly and remembers everyone’s name so you always feel welcomed. The gym is always clean as well. Great place to workout!

One star because 1) I have to, 2) it’s clean and 3) it’s safe. Very small, extremely limited equipment. Almost as hard as Gold’s Gym to cancel. The manager was my “best friend” until I moved and inquired about discontinuing my membership. Did not return phone calls, sent rude emails (then stopped responding), and was never present when I went in. I had no problem paying cancellation fees, but I can’t cancel if the manager doesn’t approve it. No one above her to complain. Never again!! Making sure everyone knows unless you want a lifetime membership, NOT to choose this gym!! Planet Fitness is way better, is 24hrs, and you can cancel if need be.

I would recommend going to Anytime Fitness Chester, VA to anyone and everyone! The fitness staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Everyone at the gym is extremely welcoming and everyone inspires one another to perform and do their best at their fitness goals. Being able to come to a gym where everybodys goals are accepted and appreciated truly makes the experience even more golden. Plus Catherine (membership director/fitness trainer) truly is the heart and soul to the clubs positive vibration. It is always a joy to speak and experience her presence! I pull Amazon freight for peak season from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I live in NC but I basically stay in Chester for this period. Ive been doing this the last 3 years and every year I pay for a month membership at this particular gym. I tried to do the same thing this time, and was told because of different owners, they cant honor prices I paid in the past. I understand membership fees cant always be the same every year. But it was literally double the cost. Like every gym, their pricing is geared for yearly memberships. I already have a full membership at a local gym where Im from so it doesnt make any sense for me. Im really disappointed as its convenient to where I work and Ive been doing the same thing for 3 years. But just because of different ownership, I shouldnt be required to overpay that much.

Hello today was my first visit at this location. Im a Truck Driver been a member for 8 yrs. Ive visited several locations across the country. This is a great location. Very clean. Nice staff and clean equipment. Personally I dont think I would have join this gym had it not been for the courteous front desk personnel but I will admit theyre much more cheaper options in the area then Anytime Fitness. Look elsewhere if affordability is what youre looking for in a gym.

I love this gym they treat you like family very professional. The General Manager Cat is amazing!!! She greets you with a welcoming smile and is always very helpful, she is a great Zumba trainer also. I recommend this gym to everyone.

I’ve been going to this gym for 5 years, before current managements/owner, gym was poorly managed and unorganized where I thought at one point I did not want to continue lifting iron at this establishment. But my hero Catherine stepped in and saved these muscles that anytime fitness built!!I like that the gym is always clean, the equipment sparkles like as if Mr. Clean stepped through the door! Very friendly staff and members always there to help that is very important to me. I would highly recommend those that left before this new management took over to consider giving it another shot. Place has done a complete 360 transformation from top to button!

One of the cleanest gym Ive visited so far. Great selection of free weights and machines. As a truck driver, I dont have a lot of options for parking. Easy in easy out.

Machines are old and poorly maintained. There are better workout facilities in the area. 1 bike of this type and its been broken since I joined! As you can see from the pic-still broken...it never moves from the main screen and the paddles slip. They patch the paddles up and the next day they are broken! Its just an old bike that needs to be replaced. You tell them about the broken items and they say that its all fixed but its not...

Updated review. You only have access to your home gym for the first month. After that then you have access to the other locations. My job sent me to a new job site without warning. I was told to contact this gym to see if there was any way around the first month rule. I called several times, left a couple voicemails to see if there was a way to bend the rules. This gym tried to get back in contact with me but they couldnt due either phone or service errors. I apologize for the previous inaccurate review before. Its in a great location, nice and tidy just the way we like em. Stay strong my friends! 💪🍺

We just joined a few weeks ago. The meeting with the trainer was so encouraging we now feel we can reach our goals. The place has been busy some nights but not so much where we had to stand and wait.

No stars!! This place is unbelievable. Ive been calling and leaving messages, even sent an email to get a membership, however, none of my calls were returned. The answering machine gives hours that are completely different than what is posted on the door! I called again yesterday and left a message, then went to the location. No one was in the office. Drove to Chester Fitness and signed up.

I think this is a wonderful establishment and I would recommend to all of my friends.

This is just what I needed, a 24 hour gym in chester. It is just the right size for what I need, general fitness. Im no superstar and this place has the equipment that I use, dumbells and machines. They have a few treadmills and ellipticals also, and an open area for stretching or dynamic stuff. Would recommend to a friend

Was a member here for 3 months before had decent 32 a month pricing with fob waver because machine was broken at the time. Took a 3 month break dude to stomach tumor tried to go back and the New Management tried to make me pay 50 a month with 35 for the damn fob i already had. Then name shamed my buddy who literally promotes the hell out the place. My buddy is sponsored by few big time brands and has a bachelors in the trade. Her personal trainer quit and I recommend she try him out and she laughed in my face (highly unprofessional and disrespectful at that) to make it even worst called a few local anytimes such as Henrico and Richmond. They would match my old rate and after 30 day grace period I would be at Chester Location anyways but not worth it. Sucks that I tried for two weeks going there during her new hours and she was never there called and left voicemail after voicemail to get the final result of being taken advantage of. Am Fam is a far bigger and better facility with alot more perks for 32. Only reason I wanted to pay 32 at anytime was because it was close to my house a mile away and want to save gas. In Fact I was leaving the facility after the bad news and took some pictures of my truck because its for sale and new manager poked head out the door and asked if I was good if I had a flat. (In my head Im thinking damn maybe she isnt that bad after all) I said I was good probably selling my truck later today. She said how much I said 6 Gs she yelled back you mean 600? Like smiling and carrying on. I ignored it and few moments later she said well thats why you dont save money on gas you drive that big truck. Okay cool my work truck and financial budgeting is non of her business. Highly unprofessional point blank. My two friends I called when I left their dad and others sister are dropping the gym. They have their own bad experiences there. To me they are already hella over priced anyways for the equipment and services rendered. Was just a close convenience for me and saves gas overall. But overall experience here was great first three months when Joe ran the facility. But now with new lady I wouldnt be supprised if she fat shamed or ran the facility in to the ground. Im offended, insulted and appalled. Couldnt give me a membership while she is there on her high horse.
