Be prepared to be stuck paying Best Fitness for your entire life. If you want to cancel your membership they will make it as hard as possible to get it done.My membership agreement expired in 2019. When I called the location to cancel it, they said all I had to do was email a PDF of the agreement with a formal cancelation request writing. I did that and received no reply.I tried the same process again a few months later in 2020 and I did received a reply but telling me they could not cancel my membership because the clubs were closed due Covid. Ok, thats understandable.I tried a third time with the email this month (October 2021) but now I got a reply saying that I need to call the Club.Fine, I called the Club and they said Yes, I can see that your agreement expired in 2019 and that allows you to cancel it, but you will have to come in person to do it.I explained that I no longer live in MA having moved to FL in 2020. So now they want a certified mail with proof that I moved to FL. Really? I was just told that I could cancel my agreement anytime once it expires, no explanation needed, and now I need to have prof of address? Ridiculous! And Ive been charged every month. Including a extra charge of $49 on top of the membership fee.Just be prepared to be paying Best Fitness until you die.

I had just joined this gym a few months ago, kudos to my boyfriend for showing me! From the minute we walk in we are always greeted, and immediately after our first work out we were so nicely approached by Mike - one of the best personal trainers. I couldn’t speak highly enough of Mike! My boyfriend and I have only been training with him for the last few months but Mike has gone above and beyond for us! Including always being flexible with our schedules, and never lets us down with a GREAT work out. I can only speak for myself, but the quality of the work outs always make me feel refreshed and maybe a little sore after. Mike truly cares about his clients not only about the physical goals but mental as well. I would highly recommend checking out this facility and better yet meeting Mike! You will not be disappointed.

I had a training session with Mike the other day.He was very professional and kind. Willing to answer any questions I had. He gave me an awesome leg workout. I felt great afterward! I love this gym. I love the staff specially the manager (brett). Always there to help people. This gym makes me feel like home. I love the environment. I had a problem in the past with this gym I owe them almost 800 dollar because I forgot to pay them. They helped me with a settlement of 200 dollar and I got back to the gym. I recommend this gym 100 percent.

I have been working out since quite some time now and I have tried a couple of gyms but, Best Fitness has been one of the best experiences for me so far. The space is quite big and they have all kinds of machines and equally good amount of free weights. Also, I have been getting personally trained by Mike there and he makes it even better for me. He is absolutely talented and rightly knows what I need and the workouts he makes me do, are 100% effective. I’d recommend anyone to meet with him if they are there.

I have been working out for about a little over a now on my own and hit a plateau. I met trainer Mike and we talked about my fitness goals and how I had no confidence in achieving them. Very good community all the workers greet you when you walk in and say goodbye when you leave.The trainers are very helpful and professional. I actually had a great experience cancelling my membership today! After being a member since 2011 (and not using my membership for an embarrassing amount of time) I decided to cancel. I called Drum Hill and spoke with Sayid who checked my account and said that I had to come in to sign for the cancellation. I went to Drum Hill and was again helped by Sayid. Since I had no outstanding balance and no additional “fine print” in my contract it was super easy and only took 2 minutes. Sayid was friendly and helpful. I am grateful that this process was so easy after hearing too many horror stories. Thanks Best Fitness!

The pricing is competitive, and your fee allows you in to the other branches. This particular branch has friendly staff and friendly regulars. The staff will even spot you or help you with technique and hand out free workouts/sessions to help you correct your form, or show you how to improve recovery.

I walked into a BF facility in the month of September with a written letter per policy to freeze my account for the month of October. October comes and I get charged for the month. I call drumhill on Oct 20 to get a refund, they are curtious and start my refund. She also assisted me with freezing my account for the month of November. November 7, still no refund for October. And what do you know, I got charged for November! Today I argued with Bria over the phone for a good 10 minutes where she told me her manager Brett was on vacation and could not tell me with when he would return. She said she will issue my refund for October, but not November? But shouldnt I have already been refunded for October? Shouldnt I already be frozen for November? Why does best fitness employee the most incompetent staff? All they want to do is steal your money.

I had called this place during the pandemic and asked how I can cancel my membership. I was told I need to go in or mail a letter. I mailed a cancellation letter and never heard anything back. I had called back a couple times to see what the status was and was told I will receive a call back and never did. I finally got in touch with a representative today and she told me I owed way more money than I should and made me pay in order to cancel my membership. I explained to her the situation and she wouldn’t budge. They even charged me the annual fee when my membership should of been cancelled and I shouldnt even of payed! I was made to pay this money to cancel which I explained to her I felt I was being robbed and was not fair. I wouldn’t suggest ever joining here they nickel and dime you and try to trap you with their contracts.

BEWARE of Best Fitness!! They are completely unethical in their business practices. They charged me for personal training appointments and then the gym closed to Covid. They are unwilling to refund me for the unused appointments that I was charged for, and my trainer also quit working there. I talked with the both, the Manager-Brett, and Chris in personal training, even though it became more difficult to reach them as I kept calling to inquire on the status. I find it odd that their Corporate contact info is not available (even though the gym will say if you use the contact us area on the website it goes right to Corporate). I have talked with numerous people who tried to get their unused training back and gave up because they were so difficult to deal with, and also heard horror stories of people having to physically go to the gym to cancel their memberships and were treated poorly during the cancellation process. I agree businesses were hit hard during this pandemic, but people were also impacted. I should note that I have been a member at this gym for at least 14 years.

I used to go here often and then i had a family and working full time and lost time to go here. I sent in writing to cancel my membership and they never contacted me. My credit card was still being charged until my credit card expired. It went to collections and threatened to lower my credit score if i didnt pay. I went and they stated they didnt accept writing cancellations, only in person. They made a deal which obviously it was in their favor. I cannot trust this place, they do not care for the customer, they only care for their pockets. Not recommended.

This is one of the cleanest gyms Ive been too. I actually feel comfortable going into the locker rooms knowing its sanitary. Every time I go in the front desk workers greet me my name and are always smiling. I would recommend this gym to all my friends!!

Alexa was incredibly helpful in getting the Best Fitness app to run on my new iPhone! I had upgraded my phone weeks before, but the BF app wasnt running properly. Time after time, I had to check in at the front desk, and the attendant would like up my membership. Cumbersome and slow. Alexa asked if I needed some help with making the app work on my new phone, and I gladly accepted the help. She led me through the screens, which took a couple of minutes, and was able to get the app running! I was thrilled! Its so quick and efficient to have the app running, and it couldnt have been done without Alexas help!

I have been coming here since April and love the trainers! They are friendly, funny, and helpful. I love coming here because of this and because I get awesome work outs with my trainer. Each work out is unique and motivating.

Eeeee Best Fitness - Drum Hill has been spectacular! I joined about a year ago and its been great! I got paired up to work with Derek as my personal trainer and hes amazing!! I have been working with him for about 9 months now and its really been wonderful. Its amazing to see the progress you can make! The trainers also teach BFITT classes which are super motivating and they keep you on track! The gym itself is great and the people (both employees and other gym goers) are incredible and what make it such wonderful place!

I can say the gym has limited equipment but you can be creative. Dont like the 2 year agreement contract which a lot of gyms do not have not sure what that is about. I do like the staff here. When it gets busy it gets busy and makes it tough to finish youre workout but other then that the place has gotten a lot better over the years. still room for improvement in a few areas. Like get rid of the 2 year agreement and make sure that people are aware of what they are getting into as far as payments and what is on the contract. The personal training is a little on the expensive side just my opinion. Theres a few other improvements that can be done but no real complaints here.

Cable machines always loose, charge you 50$ 2x a year for enhancement fees yet my experience here over the course of 4 years is nothing but the opposite. Equiptment, bars, and attachments are not up to par for what Best fitness claims to be. Even had a general manager tell me I couldnt be dead lifting 225lbs because it was making too much noise...... I have nothing good to say about best fitness anymore, especially with the 24/5 hour changes. I signed up for a 24hour gym, me and four friends will not be renewing contracts with best fitness and Ive sent many other friends to other gyms. - J Mcaneney

This place is awesome. I like this location because it is open 24 hours a day. They recently added group x classes and expanded the functional area! The space is always super clean and the staff is very friendly.

The staff isnt just friendly, they are also knowledgeable and helpful toward those who are serious about joining their beautiful gym. The girl Julie who works there really knows her stuff and is helpful every step of the way!I dont know about the previous comment I saw about 1 year contract...they have all kinds...1, 2, even 3 years. They are VERY clear about which kind you sign up for, especially during a promotion. Perhaps after a year the other reviewer forgot what they signed up for or never listened in the first place. I just hate seeing poor reviews for a place that works hard and the review isnt very credible. Read what you sign people. Its that easy, right?

The price of my membership has been raised twice since I started going 2 years ago and since then they have also decreased their open hours multiple times. The whole system is a scam and choice fitness is definitely a better option.

Gym is a scam, staff and company had no sympathy. I got a membership and wanted to cancel after a little over the first month but they wouldn’t let me without paying 100$ fee after I already paid first and last month. I live 38 mins away so commute to gym is 76 mins. It says on file you can cancel if you move 25 miles or more away. I just wanted to experience with a different gym that supposedly good but I wouldn’t waste your money on a membership here Planet fitness is just as good and your able to cancel pf basically anytime you want no fee. I already live 30miles away but Best(Worst) fitness even though I paid first and last month and offered to pay half of fee they don’t care they are just a scam for your money. We all should collectively sue Best Fitness better said Worse Fitness. As many of you, I requested to cancel my membership for medical reasons. Even though I submitted a letter from my doctor they refused to close the membership and sent me to collections. After I settled the account paying $798 in less than a year of membership, Best Fitness sent me an “offer” to settle my “debt” for free if I rejoined again. After I paid right? They scam you, steal your money and then try to get you again. ITS A SCAM

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The only good thing about this place are the trainers. The customer service and management of this place is terrible. I now pay more money at a different gym, but at leas Im satisfied with the service. BestFitness will promise you anything as long as you sign up, and later they make it nearly impossible if you want to cancel.

I have been to this once & signed up at this location because its closer to where I live. The downfall is, they dont have the daycare yet. I was told they are making improvements and will be getting it in the next couple months. I paid a little bit more $19.99 to have access to other locations so I can bring my son. As a single mom, they dont make this easy. The couple times I have been to the other Chelmsford location, I have forgotten to call before hand to have my son at the daycare. I think that is stupid. What kind of place is this?! I mean, do they not have the staff for the daycare or what? Luckily, they did take him in to play. As far as the Drum Hill location goes, I sure as hope they make their improvements happen, so maybe I dont have to drive any further or pay more in gas to go to the other one.

When i signed up for memberships, 3 in this case by Andy, we were never told about 2 years commitment. A couple of months later, overheard somebody talking about the contract for 2 years. Talked to andy about this. Conveyed to him that we would be moving to somerville withing a year. Were told by the manager at that time, that they will cancel the membership even if you would be moving within 20 miles of the Gym. Everything went fine. the people were good. 1 and half year later when i told them to cancel as i moved 23 miles out. was told it cannot be done. 2 years later when i called to cancel membership on phone or fax, i am being told that i have to send a certified letter to cancel. Manager Dave says that this way they can verify the identity of the person cancelling the membership. It seems Best fitness needs money to survive so they are reluctant to cancel memberships. Beware of these thugs.

Very friendly and professional staff at the gym

OMG these people are a nightmare! They charged my credit card TWO DAYS into the 30 day trial period. Luckily I caught it in time since you somehow only have 4 days to cancel it or you are locked into a 2 year contract and you have to cancel it IN PERSON! Its been 2 months and I still constantly receive emails, calls and texts from them even though Ive asked they stop calling me! If their gym is so great, why do I have to sign a contract and why are they calling me a million times!?!

Possibly the worst gym I’ve been to. They can’t get basic maintenance right. A recent (today) visit inPapercluded the following fun:* 3 of 4 towel dispensers do not work* Multiple elliptical are out of order with signs on them or visible damage* Bench in the locker room is ripped out of the floor (and has been for months)* Showers have some significant damage to the fiberglass and are growing mold in the damaged areas* Shower curtains are moldy* Bloody booger’s are on the wall in the locker area (and have been for weeks)* About 1/4 of the cardio is roped off with caution tape because I guess the roof is leaking. Like it has been .. FOR YEARS.Employees are quick to greet you when you walk in but never fix or address any issues.And they just raised prices. I give up on this dump. Someone open a competing gym, PLEASE.

This is a clean, fun and friendly gym ! The staff is always available to help and the trainers have outstanding knowledge and help tons of members out daily!

I love how there is a variety of equipment and the staff is always so nice! And it is the cleanest gym Ive been to, I actually feel comfortable showering lol!

They constantly close on days that are not holidays, close from a little snow, even after calling them and confirming they are open. You arrive and theyre suddenly closed or closing any minute. Also signed up because I wasnt looking for a cookie cutter gym, yet depending on the time of day.... youll be asked not to deadlift or make any form of noise. Really disappointed that Ive renewed my contact as theyre getting worse and worse and equiptment falls apart and takes weeks to be fixed or replaced. Over all its a lousy gym, only good for cardio, and even then its too expensive.

They dont give clear information on charges they take and you will see amount get cut from your account. And when I asked them to clarify, they were not at all supportive. And they dont payback even if mistake is on their side.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership! I have a case open with the Massachusetts attorney general. I have visited, sent letters, called, and done everything else in my power to try to cancel. They refuse. They are now threatening to send a collection agency after me. I have successfully disputed the charges with the bank, so hopefully that will affect their ability to process credit cards in the future. Some troll named Kady Esposito finally contacted me and refused to help me at all. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! THEY WILL NEVER STOP TAKING IT!!!!! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

Best Fitness in Drum Hill has it all! Awesome free weight floor down stairs, huge brand new functional training turf upstairs with TRX, sleds, battle ropes, lots of cardio equipment, personal trainers, group exercise classes, and a new small group training called BFITT. Class is heart rate monitored and taught by a personal trainer! Maintenance staff does a great job keeping the facility clean. And its open 24 hours! Check it out yourself! Best gym in the area if you ask me!

A zero is not low enough. I cancelled my membership 13 months ago and they claim it was never closed. They continued to take monthly payments out until I cancel my credit card. Now they are trying to have the fees collected through an agency. Beware.

PUSHYYYY!!! It made me uncomfortable!!!!!The second I walked in I was confronted with pushing sales people that just wanted me and my friends to sign up for a membership. They wanted to give us a tour of the gym, have us sign paperwork, they tried everything to get us to commit and give them a credit card and ID. IT WAS SO OVERBEARING AND UNCOMFORTABLE. I currently have 12 voice mails on my phone and continue to get calls from them asking me to sign up.

Ive been going over a year now. Come to find out they changed hours, so now they close at 11. 11 to 1130 is the only time I can actually make it to the gym due to work and school. I cant cancel my membership so I guess now Im paying for nothing. Service was garbage anyway.
