I understand there’s a pandemic going on, but how do you turn away a car seat that’s being donated?!? That’s beyond ridiculous.

I cant say enough good about this place! Almost exactly 11 years ago you took my daughter Stephanie in. Her baby boy was born 10/29/09. You mentored her and gave her a full scholarship for a CNA. She finished her schooling and still had many hurdles to overcome but your influence in her life never ended! She remembered going to the neonatal department at the hospital with another girl to see her premature baby. At that moment she made a decision to become a nurse. Today 10/2/2020 she got word that she passed her NCLEX exam! She is now a licensed RN! Due to Covid 19 she was given a Temporary License 6 months ago after her graduation. She has been working in a step up from ICU department and is overseeing 6 patients and sometimes working as many as 16 hour shifts! She usually works 3 days on 4 off on a rotating schedule. Not only that she has Savannah a daughter 3 yrs. younger than Weston G.But to top it all off she married in June of this year to a widowed single dad who is a disabled veteran with 4 children of his own! That makes 6 altogether! So again I want to thank all those involved in mentoring, influencing and making a hugh difference in my daughters life! You may never hear what happens to some of these girls that stay with you but for this girl all your hard work and generosity has not only made a difference in her life but her children, her husband, his children, ever so many patients, their families, Doctors, other nurses, hospital staff, for me and any others that experience her loving heart and shining presense! May God bless you all! Your work is a Godsend and nothing short of miraculous! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Honestly I love this place so much! If you follow the rules and do what you’re supposed to, then your experience will be great! It’s a wonderful place to be but only you can cause your experience to be bad. I’m in Sarah’s house and overall it’s amazing! I suggest coming here.

I am honestly glad I came to Florence Crittenton I came here when I was 6 months pregnant at first I was a little nervous because it was a little out of my comfort zone but the staff made it all very welcoming. Everyone was very encouraging & very nice my whole time being here . You set a goal for yourself when you first come & what you want to accomplish before you leave here. The staff works with you on accomplishing that goal but you have to want it on your own . I am truly glad i did not let anyone put false judgment in my head of what this place isn’t. They provided me with everything I needed in terms of preparing for my first child. The groups was very helpful & the volunteers were very nice as well. They even help you once you leave here if your apart of APEP. From the front desk workers to the ladies in the administration hall to the staff at your pod & even your social worker because of support & encouragement they gave I managed to reach every goal i intended on meeting when first coming here & I am truly thankful.

At the time I was staying there , I was the only minor on the maternity hall . I couldnt have a phone even though I did , I couldnt leave when I wanted to unless I was signed out ... Its like I was back in a behavioral health center . I dont recommend this place is youre under 18 . The food was horrible most of the time but the cafeteria people are so nice . The best staff member there is Gayle . She shows she genuinely cares about your well being . They barely provide you diapers , wipes , and things you would need other than donated clothes and hygiene things . Its not the ideal place you would want me to for a minor but if there are no other options then make the best out of your stay .

Ive called this place a few times to see what services they provide. The first person i spoke with was nice. The lady that does the intake was nice but was supposed to give me some information but never returned my call. I called several other times and left a few messages but still no reply. Thats not good business.

I would recommend FC Applewood program to anyone who does not have any other children nor wish to have a relationship with their other children. Great program for anyone who needs help with Parenting classes and getting their life together before having a child. I would not recommend this program to any mother who is expecting and unable to comply with not having a life outside of the program. My experience was negative because I have a family outside of the program and was not aware of the red tape that I would have to go through to care for my son.

It’s okay you just have to be careful who you hang out with and also you have to be careful who you call your friends cause it’s crazy of how people treat other people like maybe it will be better if you stay to yourself.

Most of the staff are nice , it can be a great place to stay if you keep to yourself and focus on why youre in there in the first place. As long as u go by their rules then youll be good. Also they donate so much stuff and give u tons of gifts , they even throw u a baby shower before ur due. If you need anything the staff will make sure you get it which can be clothes, baby stuff, feminine stuff , etc. The food there is okay , they do give u much of a options of food that u can eat tho, so basically if they made pizza with pepperoni and u dont eat pork den well ur screwed. But aye πŸ’β€β™€οΈ its free food if u dont like it but ur own.

My Experience wasnt bad at all! My favorite staff member was Lily Ann and Gail, dont know if they remembers me. I was there from June 2001 to Nov 2001. I didnt much care for the food but they did have a salad bar. Not sure if they still do the same things but i had counseling and not judged for putting my baby up for adoption. It was hard at 15 to make a huge decision especially since I just experienced a miscarriage now at 33. The age where you are ready for a baby....and it gets taken from you. Im getting through it moment by moment. My daughter is 16yrs old now and we snapchat, Facebook, Instagram. All the social media sites we are connected on. Thanks to the care of FCS and help from my social worker i was able to make it. Thanks guys!

This place may have been great back in the days but 2017-2018 it’s bad. The pregnant girls in FCS has issues with each other when they should be worrying about themselves and taking care of there child. Staff don’t really help you, they just be mean to you tell you NO ALL THE TIME and treat you like you are a kid because they have a title as a worker. Nobody but few actually listen but don’t really seem to take initiative to help when there is a real problem all they do is have you going from person to person and the job is never really done ... you share room with another pregnant woman and you share bathroom with 3 other girls and the bathrooms are SMALL and the rooms are cramped ... honestly this place doesn’t deserve a star at all in fact they need to burn it down... the building is old they have volunteers come try and help with stuff and have dss paying for the place but there’s no real money being put into the place the FOOD is always OLD Food from a bank some where and it’s sad because when your pregnant you deserve the right foods and here they don’t give nothing FRESH... the fruits are always OLD THINGS ARE ALWAYS OUTTA DATE and they don’t even tell you before you come that you have to have mandatory groups all week and it doesn’t help you when your looking for a JOB OR A PLACE that’s also what they claim to say they help you with and they don’t once your here and you have your baby you have 24 hrs to get out but don’t have time to look for a place or job when they try and take up most of your weeks with group smh I’m not telling people they shouldn’t come here but to experience it for themselves most girls don’t last a week or 2 some stay a month or 2 it depends on you but this is definitely the truth. All I’m saying is good luck πŸ‘πŸΌ Honestly I don’t think they deserve a star at all
