Came here to get my nails done for my birthday/wedding! Great experience, Helen is amazing! I love stiletto acrylic nails, and she killed it! Go see Helen!

Phuc was rude. She rolled her eyes at me. I got a gel pedicure and within 2 hrs my pinkie nails fell off and my second toe is badly chipped. The polish is thin and obviously needed another coat. My chair was ripped and didn’t work. My daughter had a wonderful experience though. Madison did her pedicure and did a wonderful job and was very sweet.

First one of the year. The best I have ever had. They did not rush you thru. It was marvelous.

Ive only had Mimi do my nails and every time I come she does a fantastic job. She creates amazing designs, makes sure youre happy, and gives fantastic hand massages. They offer drinks and the salon is clean and cozy.

I love coming to this salon. Always courteous, professional, and remember me after years or moving and relocating. Amazing job on eyebrows and the pedicures are amazing!

Nails were done okay overall, but customer service was not really pleasant and rushed when doing my pedi. Tina was super nice and polite while she did my mani.

This nail salon offers poor service. It is not with the money. My gel manicure that I paid $50 for lasted less than 4 days. When I went back to the salon they tried to blame it on the fact that it was probably because I cooked more over the Thanksgiving holiday and then stated they will only guarantee their work for 3 days and then questioned if it were really gel polish. I was able to share the number of polish and all. I would not go to this salon if you are looking for quality service.I am accurate with my information. I was charged $44 for my service and left a tip as I was also charged $44 for my daughters nails. I spent a total of $100. The service and lack of quality is accurate. Your salon is the first salon that I’ve ever experienced that only backed their craftsmanship for 3 days. You remarks on here prove that it isn’t about making a customer happy or correcting an error, which is not how who earn returning or new business.

Overpriced and disrespectful. I followed the instructions of an employee and can in. I was called a liar and made them feel uncomfortable when I asked why I was told to come in. I wrote down what I was told. I had been going there since March. Helen and her daughter are the only ones that do a decent job. Helen even bragged about how well of a job she does and that shes the best. She does do a great job Ill give her credit but not the best. I was shocked at todays visit.Im going into the hospital and that is why I made the effort of calling and came in. When the situation was different I said I would come back another day. When speaking a different language and using high-pitched voices I knew there was something wrong so I decided to leave and I said Ill call later.I didnt make a scene I called I spoke with Helens daughter and then Helen got on the phone called me a liar. I felt very disappointed and that is not like her it was very unprofessional. Not to mention I have brought her several gifts and I tip very well and Ive never complained if theres ever been a chipped nail or something to be fixed and make sure I pay for that even though its their fault. If you paying that amount to get gel or anything else done its not like it really matters to then you leave. So today Helen decided to say you go elsewhere you make me feel uncomfortable you make me feel different. Wow! I was blindsided by that because she didnt appear to be upset when I was there earlier but on the phone she was different. When I was leaving initially a lady caught me by surprise and said never go back in there again they dont like certain people and Im going to be honest with you even though were different take your money elsewhere. She said I just left from there and I dont know whats wrong with Helen but she just chewed me out for no reason and the rest of the staff started speaking in their native tongue which is very disrespectful because especially if you had an appointment.I called and asked for availabilities and came for that reason. I will never return she will have her wishes granted and I will take my money elsewhere. Ive had to go back a couple times due to bumpiness within the gel but theyre blaming me when I had actually not even left the facility. I shouldve known then that there were the two red flags. I gave it a chance I wasted my money and my time but lesson learned just beware where you get your nails if you dont like them you can always dispute with your bank but the easiest solution is to not go to this place of business. Check reviews.

Great styles, pleasant staff

I guess they only can do fake nails. I get gel polish. The first time I was able to peel it off in a week. Gave them another chance and now the polish is chipping and I have polish around my cuticle. Ill probably be able to peel it off again. Oh they charged me full price the second time even though their polish peeled in a week. I wont be going back.

NEVER coming back! I wish it was possible to give 0 starts because this nail salon is a nightmare. Ive never seen a worst salon than this! NO SANITATION at all!!!! Also RUDE Stuff. I felt like I took their precious time, like I own something to them. And finally, they raised the price in the middle of the processes, with an excuse that it takes too much time. Well it is your problem that you do it that slowly, not my. SO, Never go to Avalon Lifestyle Nail Salon, unless youre looking for a bad day.

Mimi is a gem and always takes amazing care of my nails. Shes extremely attentive and talented, and works hard to make sure that your natural nails stay healthy and well maintained. I really appreciate her and her hard work!

I had my nails done by Mimi today and she did an amazing job. First of all, my nails look great, but she also made me feel comfortable with light and funny conversation. She also had a gentle touch which I appreciated as my nail beds are rather sensitive. I had a great experience and I will definitely be going back to see her.

Likes: being able to bring one of my girls to get her nails done, and they look good. and pretty quick.Dislikes: not being asked if I want my nails done... not being offered wine until the end, after bringing it up aloud (more than one brief comment)... still not being offered wine even as my girl is offered and given wine right in front of me...ITS A SHAME BECAUSE WITH BEING OPEN UNTIL SO LATE I WOULD HAVE COME HERE OFTEN, DESPITE THE HIGHER-END PRICE FOR A MALL SALON.FREE NAILS SURE WOULD BE AN APPROPRIATE OFFER.I mean my girls nails look beautiful, but thank heavens Im not going to the club with her because my nails still look totally ratchet. Were still here and I cannot wait to leave, talk about horrid customer service. Oh and the sound of every trash bag changing is super relaxing to the last few of us in here. Worst experience ever. I asked for ombré but not sure what the nail technician did. It looks nothing like the picture I showed her. The color does not blend into each other or fade. Then she files my skin with the drill tip file like 2-3 times and it cut me in two spots. If you can’t do ombré don’t experiment. They still charged me. Girl kept apologizing. She got done little after the mail closed.

I went to this location and will never return, zero the worst customer service ever. I had a simple manicure left with nail bleeding and the worst manicure ever. The person doing the manicure rushed through the manicure and was very unfriendly, do not remember his name. I asked to discuss the horrible manicure with manager. A person appeared and grabbed my hand and said your fault cuticles dry, really I was not offered anything for my bleeding nail, bandaid etc. Do not waste your time or money here read the reviews.

I recently just moved to Charlotte and happened to find this Salon on Instagram. The work they do is amazing. Always great service and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is super friendly. I will say be sure to make an appointment with them, as they are booked constantly. If you are willing to wait as a walk in you’ll be fine; if you have schedule make an appointment. They are definitely not an average run salon. Everything they do they take their time and it shows in all of their work!

Avalon is the only place in Charlotte that I know of where I can get silk wrap nails. The attendants are all very experienced and friendly and the salon is clean and organized. Ive found the atmosphere to be a restful one. Their prices are very fairfor the service provided. Ive been going here about a year and a half, and prefer this salon to all the others Ive frequented in the past.

I’ve been going to this salon for 5 years now. Helen does my nails and I’ve never received as many compliments as I have since coming here. I have gotten to know MiMi and Helen and they are amazing people. Also recommend this salon!

I went to Avalon after seeing a friend post her nails on IG. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. The service is amazing. The techs are all polite. And its clean! My nails lasted me long enough that I kept them for months until I got tired of having acrylic on. When I need them done again I most definitely will not be going anywhere else.

Horrible service. They are very wishy washy with there time slots. I got to the salon at 8pm and they turned me away saying that they close in 25 min. Three weeks ago I arrived the same time and they took me with no problem. They are so rude... I wouldn’t waste my time or money here EVER!!!!

I had a horrible experience at this nail shack. I cant refer to this as a salon because it was not an experience of excellence or respectful customer service. One of the female workers was rude and very indignant. The manager displayed a dismissing disposition and told me to go and that he didnt care about trying to speak to me. I desired to give the worker a tip for my pedicure and in his native language he appeared to be disputing with her. I tried to ask what was wrong only to receive a vile response. I will file a formal complaint. The owner railed about paying 2000 a month for rent and had no regard or concern of the management of the mall. He will receive his just due for his actions. Nothing good will come to this type of service or salon.

Worst place to go for manicure and pedicure. Very poor services. My nails were hurted and bleeding , the person working for me didn’t even bothered to cure that until I told. I did gel manicure and pedicure. Nails started chipping in a week itself. Nothing special to pay for deluxe treatment. Will never go again:( very much disappointed.

Clean, fast and friendly. I just didnt like the men having a different price list ( I didnt notice until service was rendered). Compared to other nail salons they were a bit pricey ( $20 ) for a basic manicure.

I went to this location two times due to my regular salon being closed. This salon is open until 9pm, which is very convenient during a very busy week. The first time I went I was very impressed by their selection of gel colors. But, the entire experience was very rushed. But, I was happy that they took me in on such short notice so I didn’t think too much of it. Several nails chipped within a few days, probably due to the fact that they did not clean my nails well and rushed the entire time. The second time I went, it was even worse. I came in earlier with plenty of time for them to do my nails. The guy doing my nails was very confused over what I wanted when I said a “gel manicure.” He cleaned my nails very poorly, there is still old color left on the side of several nails (I didn’t notice it while I was there). When he was removing my previous gel color, he filed so hard and rough that it not only hurt, but left sores on 4 of my fingers. One started bleeding while I was there. My cuticles were not pushed back or cleaned in a way a $35 manicure should be, and my fingers are now irritated. In addition, when I tried to make small talk, he said he was a cpcc student studying computer engineering. I don’t understand how I can pay a “professional” to do my nails when he is definitely not a professional in this industry. I would not go here again nor would I recommend it. For the price you pay, you might as well invest in your own gel kit and do it yourself because it probably will not look any different.

Mimi is the most bomb nail tech! The salon is friendly, clean and always busy. Its a wonderful place and the quality is awesome.

Wonderful pedicure, the spa chairs are comfortable, the atmosphere calm. Vaughn was a great tech, he does a superb job with a gel polish. And their selection of gel colors is huge.

In following with Lucas Duarte’s review. He and his friend THREATENED to PUNCH a customer in her face and proceeded to cuss her out. I witnessed the whole event and was I shocked. Him and his friend were extreme abusive and I witnessed other people calling the cops on him. Luckily the manager of the salon took care of the matter by moving the lady to a different area however he went on cussing her out across the salon. He doesn’t seem like a client that comes to the salon by the way he acts. I’m glad the salon actually make sure people are taken care of and not put up with nonsense. I’m glad they were escorted out quickly so I was able to relax.

This place is awesome. My pedicure has lasted 3-4 weeks compared to 2 at other salons. They are all very sweet there. This has become my go to spot.

I was super disrespected by the manager of the place. she makes a difference of clients and I do not have to go through this. I pay the same as everyone who is there. they treated me like a ghetto person. They treat better who they think that have more money . Below the owner is saying that I was trying to attack the client but that’s not the true because the point was that she was getting on her nerves because we’re talking in another language and after that she start to insulting my friend telling her to shut up and start to being very abusive . We never tried to do anything wrong. We just went there to try to enjoy a relaxing time but that didn’t happen . The funniest thing is that if you take a look at the reviews the owner is a very annoying person because he never assume that they are being wrong. Clients if you guys love your money be a way of that place !

First time getting my nails done here and I had a terrible outcome. My nails are not the same shape nor the same thickness some are wayyyy too thick and very bumpy. The lady was not listening to my requests and rushed doing them & also rushed out after finishing. I understand we came in at a late time and all but this unacceptable. You could’ve told us to come back tomorrow. Definitely not worth $45! I am very unhappy with this place!

Had my nails done last Sunday and my SNS had spiderweb cracks hours after I left. They are chipping In less than a week. Wasted my time and money. To boot, the tech got inpatient And started buffing off my old sns and hurt one of my nails by going too far into my nail. Avoid this place at all cost.

Very disappointed in my pedicure. The staff was unfriendly and the pedicure is not what I would expect. I am from out of town and did not know where to go for quality. After leaving, I noticed the polish was put on uneven and they do not give you the time that you expect . I would not recommend this nail salon.

This place is a rip off after paying $75.00 for a full set,1 week later the full nail comes off, not 1 but 4 nails came off from the bottom. I go back in to complain and he agrres to repair the nails but wants to then charge me $25 for the same color and another $10 to shape them back...this is very unprofessional and I will be going further to report the to the BBB.. I know this may sound petty to sone,but this is my hard earned $$. If.you pay for a services at that cost it should be Great .

Mimi does my nails and every design lasts eaaily a month if not more. I wear very long extravagant nails and she kills them every time it has become part of who I am. Im not me without mimi doing my nails. I greatly enjoy coming here. Most recommended place I tell everyone about, especially since Im constantly getting complimented on my nails.

Soooooo BAD where do I begin !?! The most expensive nails Ive ever paid for. I have had plenty of acrylic set/gel manicure, I went in for a cool design because my friend had recommended this great girl who does intricate designs. 5 days later I have 2 nails fall off very easily so I messaged her and she tells me I have to pay 15$ for repairs Ive lost 4 nails now in total! Horrible experience I lost a lot of money into coming here. Ridiculous service and I will never be coming back! Dont waste your money here for a armature job.

My daughter and I visited this shop on last Tuesday. My daughter got gel polish on her toes and I got a gel manicure and a polish change on my toes. The gel came off on three of her toes in two days. The gel on my nails started coming off in three days. Now the gel polish is guaranteed to last two weeks. I have been going to this salon on and off for about 7 or 8 years. I called to speak with the manager who I thought was HelenEvidently she is no longer the manager. I spoke with a male who said he was the manager. I explained my problem to him. He was very nasty and said we had signed some statement about two days, that we had to come back within two days. We never signed anything. We spent 100.00 in the salon on the day of service. I will not patronize that salon again. Helen was a much better manager aND wold wor wit you. The new manager is unprofessional and not willing to back their products and service. I am done with them and will not refer anyone to that salon.

I am visiting the area and needed a gel manicure so I chose to stop in Avalon while in the mall. It was a busy day, but I had no wait. I was a bit nervous having no idea if i would be happy with the service, but my fears were unfounded. Tammy did an excellent job! Im looking forward to going there again when Im back in the area.

Tina had done my nails on Friday the 20th, it is now the 24th and my nails are already coming up. Theyre clear because they needed to be for my job, so the lifting is extremely apparent. My natural nails are rather short, however Ive had acrylics plenty of times in my life even when they were their shortest and acrylics would be hard as cement. Not sure if this is a sloppy job or bad acrylic supplies. I gave 2 stars because as far as a coffin shape goes it wasnt bad, but there was also a complete lack of cuticle care.EDIT-When I called the store and asked if they had any guarantee on how long their nails should last, the man on the phone said no less than a week since their products are expensive and made in America. Then I explained who I was and my nail situation. When he recognized that I had clear nails he cussed me for the bad review I had given. I explained I could give them a second chance and remove the review if they fixed my $40 set. He said he will never fix my nails and to never come to his store again and after yelling and continued cussing, he hung up abruptly.

I called and asked how much a full set of acrylic stilettos were and they said $25. I went into the store, showed them stiletto style nails and asked how much and they said it was still $25. As soon as I was done they told me it was $50. I got plain polish, no accent nail or anything extra. The girl also smudged my nail and told me it was $5 extra to fix it. She also did the nails so thin they all broke off the next day. $50 nails should be amazing but they only lasted a day and still looked crappy from the smudge she wouldnt fix for free.

If I could give a negative star I would because 1 is too generous. I paid $65 for the worst experience. I ordered a gel manicure and delux pedicure. Firstly they had two people dping it at the same time. This took all relaxation out of the pedicure. There was inadequate lighting to do a gel manicure which left it with missed sides and wavy nails. The pedicure however was worse. I paid an additional 10 for the delux and it was terrible. I left with toes that looked like i painted them myself and lots of noticeable dead skin. Not to mention i wore flip flops and she did not put them on before painting.....moron and she put too much lotion on my feet and rushed resulted in me slipping in my flip flops all the way back to my hotel. Very uncomfortable. All in all never go here. I went to luxury nails (1 mile away) the very next day and had them fix my toes. By far superior service and pricing. Its worth the extra distance from my hotel and the mall.

Very dissapointed. Simple gel mani and pedi, I am very easy going when it comes with this sort of thing. Continued to select the wrong nail color I showed them twice. The store owner was very rude and dismissed everything that I questioned him about, including performing everything listed in their deluxe pedi package as well as pricing. 78 bucks is unreal. The timing for the gel light seemed too brief, I even commented about it. The staff were also very rude and pushy. My gel polish peeled off within two hours. I live an hour and twelve minutes from the mall, wanted a break before leaving from a day of Christmas shopping. I would NOT recommend this place no matter how convenient!

I treated my wife to get her nails done. How disappointing...they did a terrible job and refused to fix it. I dont know much about nails, but she got the ones that are supposed to last 3 weeks and they didnt even last two days before coming off.

I have been going to Avalon for years. It is not my main nail salon but I love the fact that it is open until 9pm due to my work schedule. I usually go with one of my girlfriends to get mani / pedis. A few weeks ago she had to go without me with some of her other friends and the owner Andy (the husband of Helen) did her pink and white fill in. Once she sat down the owner began to question her about her friend that usually comes with her (me). Asking what it is that i do for a living because he did not think that I made a lot of money but acted as I did by how picky I was about my nails. After that he proceeded to tell her that I was not going to every get married, etc... Just basic girly gossip (coming for a grown man). My girlfriend left the salon with the rest of her friends and called me to tell me what happened. A few weeks go by and the other night we decided o get our nails done but had to to go Avalon due to the fact that it was Memorial day and all other salons were closed. Once we walked in my girlfriend signed us in and told the owner that she wanted to get a pedicure and that I wanted a gel polish manicure. He told her to pick out the color and he would be right back. 8 minutes go by and he comes back to the front and say that he has no nail tech that could do gel nails but there was a pedicure tech that would take her. Once I looked around and saw there was a lady that just had gel polish on her nails my friend asked to make sure we understood that he was saying there was no one that could do gel nails. Andy responded and said No, no one can do it! He walked away and I asked his wife Helen because I didnt know if he was confused thinking I meant get nails vs. gel polish. She answered and said, Yes, someone can do it for you. Andy came back up once her herd Helen say that and interrupted and said, NO! She is not going to do it for you, I need her to do other things. My friend and I just looked at each other because we really didnt understand what he was trying to say. My friend then said, Do you just not want to do her nails? Andy responded and said, No, we not do her nail. She picky! She can not get done here. My friend responds and says, Ok, but you want to do my nails? Andy said, Yes, we want your business but not hers! At that point I had nothing else to say other then, Lets Go! After we left the salon my friend suggested that we go to the mall office and report the business. The main office was closed so a security guard suggested that I call the next morning and report the company. So... I did just that! I called the mall manager Randy Thomas and spoke with him giving him complete detail on the evening. He listened to me and pretty much told me there was nothing that he could do about it but that I should email him so that he could put it in his file in case there was ever anything that came up such as not paying rent or something of that sort. The reaction that I got out of him was that he would talk to Andy. I would NEVER recommend this salon to my enemy.

Omgsh! They did so good with my nails :) I have to drive 30mins to get here but totally worth it and coming from now on!

Had a pedicure here a few weeks go and now my nailbed is black. Going to dermtologist this week, but thought I would warn others.

My sisters nails fell off 4 days later then we went back in to get them redone and he kicked us out and told us to go to hell. I wouldnt give it any stars if I could.

Terrible!!! Do not go here!!! They change their prices as they see fit depending on the customer. The guy told us it would be $23 for a gel polish change plus polish remover and when we went to check out he told us it was actually $35. That is not fair you can’t just lie and over charge people.
