This was our first time to isle of Palms and could not be more pleased with the area. The condo was also very nice. The beds were comfortable. Beautiful furnishings. Great view of the ocean and pool. Very clean. Little details like phone charging stations and labels on the light switches. Communication with itrips was prompt and easy with ability to directly text the agent. The unit was ready one hour prior to check in time.I leave a one star review for the management company in hopes that the homeowner sees how their guests are treated and others are warned of the lack of empathy and support from the agency. We checked in on Sunday. Around 11 AM on Tuesday I notified Steven the air conditioner was not working. The unit was 75 degrees. He sent a tech to look at it that afternoon and we were notified around 5 PM that it needed a part and the unit would not be fixed that night. His text read “hopefully it will cool down tonight”. The next morning (Wednesday) at 830 I asked for an update. Around lunch time he said a tech would come to replace the part that afternoon. While getting ready that morning, my mother was so hot and sick she threw up. My 2 YO was fussy. We decided to find a cooler place to go for the day. When we returned the a/c tech was there. My baby would not nap as the unit was now well over 80 degrees. In a later conversation, Steven questioned why I couldn’t take him to the beach “the beach is cool and breezy”. It was a high of 90 degrees that day. Isn’t your condo to help you find refuge from the sun, eat in peace and sleep? We were informed around 330 PM by the tech that the part was wrong and we would again not have air that night. I immediately called Steven and was told the message would be relayed. 30 minutes later I called again as I had not heard a response if they were even working on it. The evening sun made the main rooms a sweltering 94.5 degrees. I have a photo of the thermometer I used. I called back an hour after the initial call. I was also texting. I am admitting I lost my cool as I was upset by the heat and the fact that my family could not have dinner in the unit—more less sleep there. I did apologize for my anger. When Steven finally called at 5 PM, I was told that he did not appreciate my berating calls and threats to post this to social media. He would not be refunding my money if we chose to check out, but rather he would decide at the end of the stay whether we “deserved” a credit to our account. He informed me that it was not his fault that any of this had occurred and continued to say he had done everything he could to resolve it.The issue may not have been itrips fault, but it was their responsibility to make it right. He sent the main guy from the a/c company who brought 2 temporary units that would not install into the windows. At this point it was just before 6 PM, nearly 36 hours into the ordeal. When I demanded to be moved to a new unit or at least be told that we could receive a refund to find a place on our own, I was initially denied. At least when he called at 6 PM he conceded to move us to a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom oceanfront home just down the street. While I will say it was quite the upgrade and we were able to enjoy our final day at the beach, I would have much rather had the time with family at our original condo. We were forced to pack in sweltering heat an hour before my child’s bedtime. So please answer me this: if a temporary unit was an option, why did we have to sleep in 80+ degrees for Tuesday night? Who doesn’t take into account older individuals and children when deciding how to help your renters? Please read other reviews on google, Facebook and their own website before renting from or choosing this company for property management.

We rented a lovely home in Isle of Palms from iTrip Charleston via AirBnB. Before we checked in, we were told that there would be a little bit of work being done in the garage for a few hours the day we checked in and the next day. We were not told that it would be so loud that it was like being in a factory. Drills and other loud equipment were nonstop. My young son could not nap through this noise. We tried to be understanding but when the work continued for HOURS after we were told it would be done, we grew a little frustrated. iTrip did NOTHING to finish the work on time or accommodate the major disruption to the beginning of our long-awaited, and pricey, vacation.Out of deference to the lovely homeowner, we decided to leave a nice review on AirBnB for the home. But after iTrip left a review about us stating that we needed to chill because we calmly expressed our discontentment with the major inconvenience, we felt it was time to leave an accurate review here without impacting this specific homeowner. If you are a homeowner, you should know that iTrip is NOT treating your customers well, does not communicate effectively with those customers and you should look to other property managers.

I work in the property management industry and have had the pleasure of collaborating with Sarah and her team in different ways. I have always been impressed by the professional high quality service that iTrip Chs Beaches consistently delivers. It is clear that they genuinely care about the owners and guests that they serve. I am familiar with many of the management companies throughout the greater Charleston area, and iTrip would be my top recommendation to any owners seeking a management partner.

We had booked 7 nights at the 2 bedroom house on 1114 Ashley ave in Folly Beach SC. Upon arrival we unpacked and got ready to turn it in after a 15 hour drive. When we all woke in the morning we found that the 2 year old daughter of my friend had 5 bug bites all over her body. She had slept in the crib on the 2nd level. As the day started we noticed cockroach plug ins all over the home. That being said we then started to experience a major infestation of all size and types of cockroaches. I personally killed 8 total. In the bedrooms, tv room and in the kitchen. They were out during the middle of the day telling me there was a major problem. We continued to learn that the house was set up as a rental that the renters didn’t care about. The kitchen sink faucet lever fell right off. The only tv in the home was a 27 in in the living room with 2 controllers that had tape holding on the battery packs. The remotes were disgusting and dirty. The washing machine was not operational and the remainder of our next few nights were awful going to sleep. The bites continued so we decided to leave 3 nights early from our stay. I then reached out to the rental company and they told me basically to go f_ _ _ myself. Please don’t put yourself into this awful experience we encountered. There are so many more options available. Never will I ever do anything with this company and home owners again

We have used Sarah and Steven as our Property Managers for our short term and monthly rentals for over a year now. They do an all-around fantastic job of taking care of Guests and their needs, obtaining bookings, and assisting us with our property needs. Our Guests have been very happy with Sarah and Steven’s services, local suggestions and attention to details. I see a few recent reviews that are negative due to COVID-19 cancellations. I have to respond: Sarah and Steven manage many, many, many properties, so these few complaints are most certainly outliers given the volume of cancellations I am certain they dealt with during this unfortunate time. The Guests that had booked our properties did not complain about cancellations: They paid attention to booking details, understood cancellation policies, the option to purchase or decline travel insurance and honored their end of the contract without complaint. In closing, I highly recommend Sarah and Steven to prospective Guests looking for a great rental/travel experience as well as Owners in need of a diligent Property Manager for their properties!

My trip in the beginning of April was canceled by the Itrip because of covid. After emailing and calling. they finally refund my little under half of what I was owed. This company is unprofessional and downright criminal. they basically stole near a thousand dollars from me. They never delivered on their promise, yet Im out my money for no reason at all. The people are CROOKS. CON ARTIST.Update: First I was never threatening or use fowl language. Second Ive seen plenty of people saying the same things Im saying on yelp. I get it though this probably has ruined your business (I dont care.) I paid you I money, you was suppose to have provided me a lodging. You didnt yet still expect me to pay half. But hey people will see this and the other reviews and make their own decisions. Enjoy your reputation of being a crook and con artist.

Stevie and Sarah Goodwin have to google themselves everyday and respond to the growing list of people they have wronged. Doesnt sound like a highly rated company. Awful people to work with. VRBO even said 95% of property managers did the right thing and refunded money. These people are the bottom 5% of property managers. Profiting from Covid-19 and taking peoples money as if they are entitled to it. Unbelievable.

During Covid 19, Steven and Sarah are refusing to offer full refunds despite the pleas from health and government officials to shelter in place. Their emphasis on short term gain over health, safety and long term customer relationships is disappointing.Steven and Sarah use their legal expertise to justify customer exploitation. They could have offered a $500 credit towards future re-bookings, with an eye towards building a repeat book of business. Instead, they are keeping money deposited towards houses they dont own and operating expenses that were not incurred. Check our their braggadocios web site; familys 150-year-old real estate business (multi^5+ generational wealth), Sarah boasts a successful NYC corporate attorney career, Steven has held CEO level positions and served on multiple publicly traded boards. I can assure you that Steven and Sarah need your $500 less than you do. Their business will come back as the virus subsides and tourism rebounds. They will continue to stake their integrity on their litigious education and ability to draft contracts that are lost on the laymen and position their own favor with strength. Is the resolution legal? Yes. Is it ethical? My stance, and that of others, is no. Legal does not equal moral. Evidence? Anyone seen the news around public safety institutions that are held unaccountable for violence against minorities? Some institutions and laws are wrong (slavery, womens suffrage, gay rights...). Steven and Sarahs business actions and judgement through the Covid 19 pandemic have been shortsighted, lacking integrity and selfish.8/31/20 update.1) You are a literal clown. Have you ever attempted to look up the definition of credit towards future purchase? Why is this an unfathomable concept for you? Southwest airlines has garnered the highest profit margin of its competitors.2) You should look for a new payment processor as your claimed credit card processing fees are in excess of 12%.3) You sound like a child who thinks its unfair recess was postponed because its raining. We all get it, you know how to write a contract that protects your interests. Try a cost-benefit analysis of what would happen if you put customers first vs. accumulating a lot of time defending frivolous claims and posting reviews. Your customers are mad because your policies are austere.

Have to agree with Christopher Ross. They seem like they were a great company prior to crisis, however are unwilling to budge on cancellation policies agreed upon pre-Covid. I would advise against booking with this company for the remainder of uncertain times around this pandemic. They required 60 days worth of notice and still kept my $250 admin fee. For context, I booked on Feb. 20th and cancelled in mid May for a trip occurring July 16-19.
