Upon arrival We checked in to an absolutely filthy property. The team said that they would have someone out to the property within two hours to clean and no one ever showed up. We found hairs all over the pillows in the bunkbeds. After 48 hours of our stay both my wife and I started to get sick and has a further look through the property I found mold and mildew all over the ceiling upstairs I have attached photos

I lost a valuable item at the Turnkey property I was staying at in Kiawah Island. The local Charleston office never got back to me.

Stayed at a rental on John’s Island, SC, they notified our group 8 minutes before check in that our house was uninhabitable due to the previous guest. They didn’t offer any other place to stay or to help find lodging but offered $400 for 9 people to find hotel rooms. There were no open hotel rooms within 50 miles so we had to stay at the house. No one came until Wednesday to finish cleaning. One bedroom was unusable, carpet cleaning was done Wednesday and check in was Saturday. Bad customer service and communication. Will not book through them again.

The condo I rented from TurnKey was littered in rodent feces. TurnKey made many promises to come back and clean but never followed through. They only left me traps. TurnKey Customer Service is really, really bad.

I do not recommend, Turnkey Vacation Rentals managers are condescending when you have a problem. From the moment that I arrived I was not happy and expressed concern with the neighborhood and their answer was we dont manage the neighborhood. I asked for an early departure accommodation and was flatly denied. Interior was in good shape. Exterior was run down. The only entry provided is through the back-ally that appears to be unsavory. Wife was intimidated by people on street and she felt unsafe when I wasnt home. Front door did not have a key so we could not enter or exit. Loud trains and lively streets at night. Management refused to provide key to front door until pushed. Streaming TV only. Loose figures on walls. They finally provided front door key after several complaints and reasoning. Bugs in apartment.

I try to give fair reviews. I rented from this company in Myrtle Beach. Pictures on the internet made it look like a very nice, clean place. Pictures are deceiving. Upon arriving, I immediately used the restroom. The first bathroom I went into had no toilet paper, so I had to go to the other bathroom. I had received a text from them asking me to rate the cleaning. I gave them a 4 because it was decent, but inquired about more toilet paper. Basically they said if we wanted more we should go buy some. We rented this place for basically $180/night for 4 nights and had 4 people with us. 1 roll of toilet paper? I go to take a shower and lift up the drain and a palmetto bug comes out. Sent them a picture. Ended up killing another one in the bedroom right before bed too. The television in the living room we never were able to use. No trash bags to dispose of trash. No dish cloth to wipe counters of or do dishes with, but there was a towel. The kitchen was advertised as being well stocked, but was just a bunch of junk random gadgets. We got by though. We had a good time and I cant say it was the worse place Ive ever stayed, but it was definitely over advertised. Communication is via text messages which seem stamped out. I would rent another place if I came down here again.

They will take your money and run. They cancel my reservation because the house was unavailable. I never got my money but I did get a credit for the same house only if I booked the same days next year they will honor the price. If not I have to pay them more money to rent again. Please rent in airBnb so that you can be moved to another house without having to be stuck or pay more.

Charlestons TurnKey team has been an incredible partner for managing my rental property! I switched to TurnKey from another local manager and I could not be more pleased. They genuinely care about my home as well as all the guests that stay. Plus, their cutting edge technology is such an amazing asset that no one else in the industry offers!

The kitchen in our rental home was unusable for a good portion of the time we were on Kiawah because it was infested terribly with ants by the thousands. We made multiple requests for Turnkey to provide pest control services and the pest control people never came. Also the initial cleaning was sub-par. Very disappointing.

Karen has been a godsend for us!! We were thinking of renting our condo ourselves. We really had no idea how much it entailed to get a place up and running! Karen knows everything we needed to know....and more! We are very happy with her expertise and Turnkey as a company. They are very thorough and totally professional. We could not be more pleased and would recommend Turnkey to anyone interested in a rental agency.

I will never ever ever deal with this company again blatantly lied to my daughter after finding out 3 hrs after booking that pet policy was changed . Lied boldly to not refund money when company policy clearly stated otherwise . I rarely post neg comments but this company is absolute evil. Run away as far as u can . The many lawsuits against this greedy company should clearly tell u it is heartless .

I recently stayed at a TurnKey rental house and it was perfectly clean and so comfortable. I felt like I was staying in the same quality as a nice hotel, but even better because it was a cute house with plenty of space, and in a prime location. During our stay, one of their staff members was inspecting a house next door, and they were incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving us some awesome restaurant recommendations. I would definitely rent with TurnKey every time!

We switched to TurnKey from a local management company after many conversations with Karen Keys; Karen is an excellent representative for TurnKey. She walked us through the process and everything she told us about TurnKey has proven to be correct. From our experience, TurnKey is equally concerned with the property, the property owner and the renters.We highly recommend TurnKey for property management in the Charleston SC area.

Do Not Use this Company. They took advantage of me during the COVID 19 Tragedy. I rented a house from them for my family to live in for two weeks due to our new house being delayed from COVID 19. My reservation was canceled just 5 days after making it. They refuse to refund me over $3000. They will only give me a credit which I will never need as this house is in my same town where I live. I even asked for a partial refund and they would not work with me. They would not even refund me my $200 pet deposit. I consider the $3000 stolen money. This company and the owner of the house are criminals. Shameful.

Well well well...I love writing positive reviews. In fact I have never written a negative review since I always try to find the positive and realize that a lot of issues aren’t controllable. However, I can honestly say this is the worst company I have ever done business with in my 40 plus years on earth. My family and I travel often. We own a few rental properties and feel we have an understanding of travel and real estate. How this disgusting company has decided to handle the pandemic is something that should be followed in business classes moving forward. No customer service, digging in and hiding behind “protecting the owner they support”. Please do not just read my review. Explore all platforms, news reports and get a real sense of who you are dealing with. Be very careful when booking with VRBo, AirBNB or Homeaway as TurnKey utilizes these platforms and you will be held to Turnkey corrupt standards. This company is what is wrong with the world and I really hope people never use them again. I also hope homeowners realize that they shouldn’t trust this team with managing the properties they own.

I enjoy the services Turn Key has provided me in managing my property. I never hear from tenants, access codes are changed efficiently and they are very proactive in all communications.Karen, Joy, Amanda and any other support staff have been absolutely amazing and professional. You are in good hands with this company and I promise you will enjoy your stay.

DO NOT USE TURNKEY. I cannot emphasize this enough. The property was not clean at all - with pet hair everywhere. This is unacceptable generally, but especially during COVID19. When I called to try to cancel another reservation I had with them due to terrible cleaning standards, they were extremely unemphatic and offered no resolution. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and will never use them again. I wish I had known prior to my reservation the low quality. Please use airbnb or another rental not associated with Turnkey.

I have been a cleaning vendor for TurnKey for about 10 months and I love it! Its a very organized company and working with them is a pleasure. Karen and her team are just one phone call away if I have any questions. I am greatful for an opportunity of extra income with flexible schedule.

Absolutely terrible customer service. There was a miscommunication regarding my reservation and it was cancelled without contacting me first. Upon receiving an email I contacted them immediately to resolve the issue. Before reviewing my case or offering any assistance, Turnkey re-opened my reservation to the public and it was booked before a simple solution on my end could be provided. This all happened within a 35 minute period. This not only misplaced myself, but 3 other travelers relying on the home for vacation. I will never consider Turnkey Rentals again for any future vacation.

Awful experience. It is three weeks after the property I had rented was robbed. I reported it to Turnkey immediately and vacated. The property did not seem secure and I did not feel safe. There has been no offer of any kind of restitution. Negative initial experience compounded by the continuing tepid follow-ups by the agency.

I have recently moved my rental to this company and it all has been a great experience the team at TurnKey all have a common goal...to make it easy for the homeowner and renters...I can’t say enough

We actually had very little contact with the management company which is generally what we like in vacation rentals. We did have one issue with the sink off the master bedroom and the management company was very responsive and acted immediately which was nice and appreciated. I would give 5 stars but when we arrived the house had a very musty, moldy smell. It dissipated after we opened up everything. Also the bar-b-que hadnt been cleaned. Very minor issues. We would rent from a place they managed again.

Amazing company and even a more amazing local Charleston team!
