First time my husband and I have ever done a dinner cruise. We got the private table for two and added on the drink package that included a bottle of wine and two customized glasses. For the price the drink package was worth it but for the overall price for the experience and the food it was a waste of money. We will not splurge for a table for two next time and hopefully the food will be better. The portion sizes in my opinion for the soup and salad are lacking as they are smaller than you would even get as a side salad or a cup of soup at any given restaurant. It was also pouring down raining and our window was leaking. We informed our waiter he said he was going to inform his manager but nothing became of it. We also saw another couple dealing with a leaky window and the only thing they gave them was towels to shove into the window seal. I know that weather is always a up in the air situation but for the amount of money we spent It was way severely lacking on expectations but our waiter was great. If youre expecting quick service and are hungry I suggest eating a snack before you board. Due to having two waiters for all the tables things started to back up as they did the best they could. If youre going to spend the money on this I would suggest getting a group table with family or friends or sharing a table with strangers.

Awesome🤗 day out with my daughter. After 5 years of not seeing each other. We shared so many memories and laughter. The day was just beautiful!!! She was excited to learn some history of South Carolina Charleston area. The staff was very friendly she was amazed of the great South Carolina hospitality ere. 😃 When she comes to see me again we are planning to do the Spirit line dinner cruise. Thanks Spiritline for making our day memorable one!😊

Signed up for dinner sunset cruise. All went exactly as advertised. There were a couple of disappointments with the meal: No hot tea was available and the chicken, especially the sauce, was not very good. But everything else made up for it. Very relaxing and a good way to see the Charleston waterfront. It was a unseasonable cool Memorial day weekend which made us not want to go up top to see the views without windows. We stayed in the climate controlled area throughout the trip.

We really enjoyed our dinner cruise. The food was great and very filling. The upper deck was really nice to sit with your drink and just watch the water and the passing boats. The only reason I probably would not do it again is that we didnt really get to enjoy the upper deck for very long. We ate inside and the wait between courses was sort of long but we didnt want to leave and go upstairs and chance getting back when our food was cold. It would be nice to have some outdoor seating to enjoy the breeze and the water while dining. We couldnt really see outside (the window seats were reserved for those that paid for the private couple tables). So it really just wound up feeling like a restaurant environment and not a cruise for most of the 2.5 hrs. But we still had a lovely evening 😊

Worst experience ever! Food was nasty. Service wasnt great. Catch of the Day was a joke because it was not available. No entertainment not even a radio. The Captain could have spoke overhead and wished well wishes to the people celebrating. My Aunt was in fear of the boat and was excited for a great experience but obviously our expectations were too high! This was not what her daughter had in mind for a grand, signature 60th celebration for a dinner cruise. I was in a group of 21 and seating could have been arranged differently to accommodate. Not even a slice of cake with Happy Birthday? I dont recommend, even of the cost was less.

My group of 9 took a boat tour of Ft. Sumter and the surrounding forts. It was a great time. Our guide was a retired history teacher, and not only knew a lot of information, he knew how to convey and tell it well. My group learned so much. The boat was fine— we sat on top and enjoyed all the views. We highly recommend this group— we will use them again.

I was very excited about this dinner cruise as I was celebrating a weekend with my sisters. The views were amazing. The food--not so great. I ordered the short ribs....which were very tender, not seasoned well, but good enough to eat. But, the Shrimp and Grits? Not good. Not good AT ALL. The gravy tasted like watered down salsa from a Mexican restaurant. Fortunately, when the manager, who was nice, offered to give the 4 persons in our party another meal. That was awesome. I was pleased with my food. I had the short ribs with green beans and mashed potatoes. Id recommend taking the cruise because of the beautiful views and enjoying time with friends......but dont order the shrimp and grits. They get 3 stars because though the shrimp and grits was not good, they rectified the situation. Oh, and desert is not included.

My family (4) booked an evening dinner cruise on June 15th 2021. We departed the dock around 7:00.Good points: The food was great. The staff, for what they could control did a great job.Bad points. Very disorganized. It took forever to get served the first course. (Soup)20 - 30 minutes later came the salad.Even longer to get the main course. There was not enough time to serve desert to everyone.Half of the cruise did not get desert served at all.Our patience was really tested. It made what could have been a great experience and turned it into a not so great experience.Table 42-2.

We opted for the 90 minute harbor tour on a whim. We loved it. It was niece with how much walking we did over the previous 3 days to take a seat to see a new image of Charleston. The guide was a born and raised local who clearly had a strong grasp of the rich Charleston history on many levels. She easily spoke to the towns economic history, social growth, military relations, and even business endeavors around town. She offered additional recommendations for sight seeing and was able to answer all the questions our group had. The 90 minute tour did not drag at any point and offers beautiful views. The cruise sold snacks and beverages too, to include beer and wine.

I have to give them a 3 for the quality of the food and the presentation but, the customer service was awesome they made up for the poor quality of the food. I definitely recommend them getting a chef that can prep and cook better or at least provide food items that you cant go wrong with. Otherwise, it was a good experience not all bad. Id try them again, but they dont match Savannahs River Cruise.

This tour was by far one of the best tours I’ve ever been on and I have been going on tours and seeing different sights around the world for 14 years that being said I’m 20 years old and my first tour I can remember was 14 years ago anyway that being said the tour guide we had was amazing highly intelligent knew everything and everything about the area he also got the group into the tour with some quick fun fact type of jokes also he is a very skilled artist and he has to be the best tour guide I have ever seen and about him being an artist he was doing a contest and one of his art piece cards was the prize highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn the true and good facts about Charlestown and it’s history (p.s. the tour boat I went on did not stop at the fort it did drive past it though but I didn’t expect to be going to the fort sense the tour is about an hour and a half long from start to finish but overall it was amazing because you get all the information on the town and it’s history and the guides deserve a great review and I hope this tour has a long run and does a lot of successful business for years to come (any questions about the review or the tour feel free to ask me about my experience or call the charter on there site/webpage sense they would probably be better at answering the questions then me due to being from Maine and only doing the tour once

We used this to purchase a combo tour. We did the harbor tour and the Old South Carriage. After I purchased the harbor tour. I called Old South and reserve a time slot because you can’t do it online without having to pay. We got a voucher at the harbor tour because we did that tour first. When you go to your tour for Old South you just give them the voucher. It was nice to get a tour of the water and then downtown Charleston.

Great 3 hour ride. For the price of $266.00 for two entrees and one bottle of bubbly wine and dessert not including the tip the entrees need a lot of improvment! Pretty sure the green beans with some corn are from a can or frozen package. NY strip steak is too stringy. Salmon however was cooked to perfection. The Waitress was great and very friendly. Loved that you can take your pictures home as well. Very thoughtful to individually give shout outs to people with birthdays and anniversaries.

This is a must do on the itinerary! It is a little pricey if you upgrade from the captains table to the private table (and add what you will) but IT IS WORTH IT!!I took my husband on this dinner cruise for his 30th birthday and he said it was one of the best parts of our trip. We upgraded to the captains table, then I added the I love you package (which included a private table, champagne, roses and dessert). The total for both of us was around $255 but it was totally worth it! If you don’t add the dessert, the menu starts with soup, salad, then main course. You also get tea or coffee with your meal. I think sodas are an extra $1 and they have a spirits, wine and dessert menu for separate purchase. Everything tasted amazing so you can’t go wrong with any option you choose. It is resort casual so I would say girls wear a sun dress and guys, jeans/shorts with a nice collard shirt and boat shoes would be fine. No need to get super fancy with heels or slacks. The only thing I was nervous about was the tipping. I saw a Couple of reviews that had people angry because they bring you the total amount you prepaid for the cruise and any additional purchase you made on board. I think people just misunderstood their check because it wasn’t a problem at all. Just think about what you would normally tip for a steak or seafood dinner and use common sense. There was no pressure from our waiter at all. We tipped him extra because he was so good.

Getting married in Charleston you can’t go wrong. The city is so beautiful and offers so much. My husband and I wanted something different, something unique for us and our guest. We chose to get married on the Spirit of Charleston and sail the harbor. The night was perfect, the boat looked amazing and our servers and bartenders were everything we needed! The picture perfect wedding venue! Our food was delishes and exactly what we wanted. They allowed all our vendors access to the boat prior to the event to get everything set up and help it go smoothly and on time. For the most part I don’t have any compants but I do believe there is room for improvement. We planned this wedding from Texas and needed much help from all our vendors to make sure everything was set, ready and ran smoothly. Contact with the event coordinator was slow and not always what I needed. I did have to get in touch with her in order to make sure things were in order instead of her reaching out to me. I had given her all my vendors information and the week of the wedding I had vendors asking me for her contact information. We had another lady on the boat for the night of the wedding directing everything who we had never met or had contact with prior to the night. Sadly she didn’t even know our names as we got ready to board the boat. All tho the night went smoothly for the most part I feel like these are things that need to be addressed and worked on to improve for the next bride and groom. I will say I was very happy with our night and it was everything we could of wanted, so thank you for the all your help and to the crew for making our night very special! -The Cates!

EVERYONE went out of their way to ensure all our guests were well taken care of. The food was all fabulous - definitely high-end restaurant caliber. Also, I cannot say enough good things about Mary Elizabeth Shue, Events Coordinator. She made everything easy. She helped with every detail and never got flustered when numbers changed. She helped us obtain a wonderful DJ and took care of managing all rentals to include colored linens. If anyone is considering a reception cruise, go with Spiritline.
