I love this place! The teachers and personal trainers are great and there are lots of different machines

I got a 7 day pass to decide if I wanted to join the membership. On the second day, got called by the manager that they no longer allow free pass because of the rise of the pandemic recently. Instead asked me to to register for $34 monthly fee. Should not allow free guest pass to be posted in the website in the first place as it is deceiving. I would have considered an option just to use the gym for a week with a small fee.

First went with friend, who if possible, knows much less about equipment use than myself. I was hoping to have a simple guide on use of equipment. My aspiration was to slowly reduce a small amount of fat and replace with asymmetrical muscle gain.Reduced gut and better back and neck.I made an appointment and it did not prove to have logic. Different programs, which do impart simple knowledge but strictly add to sales. I was quickly moved from one station to another and was hurting for more than a week. Anyone knows a badly out of shape older person starts off with joints, tendons prior to beginning with muscle gain. The result was remembering nothing and not having gained the most basic and minimal knowhow. A safe method.

Powder cake at the front desk is really unprofessional. I named her powder cake because it looks like she put the whole bag of baking powder on her face. Obviously shes never had customer service experience, train your employees on how to have empathy for the consumer.

The staff is nice and the place is pretty clean overall.But this specific location has significantly reduced hours, and the $10.00 per month plan is only *after* a $90.00 signup fee.Found a better deal with better hours down the road.

Crowded but great price less crowded at certain time but still a grip of people

This gym is amazing. They are doing a great job during this crazy time. I felt very safe working out. I saw everyone wearing mask and doing their part.. I noticed someone going around cleaned the whole time I was there. It was great to see everyone doing their part to keep the gym a safe and fun place to go exercise 😀. Keep up the great work everyone. This included staff and members also.

When you take a Deal from them they will scam you I just get a deal as 1$ for first month $10 for the Second and for the third it will be $15 and there is a annual fee is maybe $40 and every thing was ok and I Pre-paid the deal for the 3 month and after 2 month I am getting a bill for $50 dollars for the 2 month I pre-payed before 😂 what are taking about ESPORTA this is stealing the people money it is not for 50 but for the ways that you guys do it and if you don’t have the evidence (bills) they will force you to pay themBut to be honest the trainers are very good People

I like to workout at this gym, and its a good gym to workout at.

This gym has a lot of variety in their equipment. Huge free weight section, lots of cables and machines, tons of cardio, and a functional movement section with a turf pad. I only pay $25 a month and have access to all of their gyms and can bring unlimited guests. I like this place a lot.

Constantly annoyed by this gym. Never have I been told I had to wait for ONE specific person only in on certain hours to cancel my account. Cancelling an account is a simple right that every company allows an individual make, exactly when they so choose, hence the avoidance of binding contracts. This is absolutely outrageous in general, but in this time to have to walk in person and wait for only one human allowed cancel a measly gym account that doesn’t even hold a yearly contract.Sent from my iPhone

If they dont put rims on the basketball courts soon im going to cancel my membership. Everyone who works there is too busy chatting with each other or scrolling through Instagram to answer any questions. Every other class is still open but no basketball? Pick Up USA has open basketball, maybe Ill start my new membership there. It makes no sense to pay for a fully open gym but have the one thing I want, and the reason I became a member, be closed.

Very clean, good employees, five lanes for lap swimming. Jacuzzi not available now due to health restrictions, unfortunately: its always well maintained with nice, strong jets.

Went to check in, they let me in, about 10 minutes into my workout they gentlemen who let me in was asking me to leave. Apparently my membership was single club and I was unaware. They situation was handled poorly and awkwardly. Instead of signing a membership I left embarrassed and upset.

Thankyou for the great train, I’ll be honest I stop going to the gym because I being treated very aggressively and was lied to but now they have new staff and I’m happy to say I’d recommend this gym to anyone it’s just a shame I didn’t use my member ship because I didn’t want to talk or see the Trianer’s especially the head trainer that no long works there stright over charge me. But the head trainer is the most honest head trainer and with my TrianI’m seeing great resultsNews flash this was day one when I wrote this now I would never have a Trianer I was being treated like a dog telling me to come rude and not respect

Me and 4 of my colleagues canceled our membership and went to EOS on Alma school. Over a year after the first covid closing and this gym still operating on reduced hours. Main reason we signed up was it being 24/7 or at least open till midnight and extend the hours on the weekend not close at 8pm. Very upset we moved but might come back if hours get extended to at least 12 daily

Just last week, I saw them doing a deep clean in the floor across the back aisle that fronts the spinning snd aerobic rooms. Yet today when using the leg machines, it’s extremely dirty all around that area. Grime, sweat stains etc. membership is not responsible for cleaning the floors. Step it up.

Great gym, but they dont enforce mask laws. I talked to them 4 times about it and my words fall on deaf ears. I go to another location now. If you dont want to wear a mask, then this gym is for you.

Do not join. They will keep billing you even after you cancel! I sent in a cancelation form. They stated they did not receive it. Ive gone in twice to see a manager to cancel. No manager was on site. They would not take cancelations when the gym was closed but they charged me for that month! Dont waste your time dealing with them. They are dishonest.

Used to love coming here. Loved the modifications with the functional fitness space. Sadly, I will be cancelling my membership due to the AM personal trainer.I have seen him one-too-many times kicking people out of the training area and going as far as taking equipment from them.I understand there are training-exclusive areas, but its a bit of a power trip to kick people out when its not affecting you or your client.Sorry! Wish the modifications hadnt squeezed all the machines together and you hadnt made a person with no regard for your guests the guard for the new areas.

I like how the staff has no care in this facility for people not wearing there masks properly or not at all. This is why this gym will close. Sad for business and sad that this pandemic won’t end because of ignorance for this serious pandemic.

Great basketball gym layout with several half courts and one full court. Good capacity restrooms, locker room. Dont care for the free weight or circuit training layout. It gets really packed, so check Google maps before you go if you dont want to be there when its busy.

My Favorite LA Fitness! Love ALL of the Aqua Aerobics classes. Heated Pool is clean and bright, dressing/bathroom is also clean. Equipment works. Lots of great classes. Friendly front desk staff.

I have been a member with LA Fitness/now Esporta since 2001. I have never felt uncomfortable with going until recently. The PA system is so loud that I am not able to enjoy my music with my personal headphones. Others have made the same comment. I was told by management to contact corporate office to launch a complaint. I have not been able to do so. The number I got said they are not open and rudely disconnected me. I tried the gym on Elliot and Priest, same problem, music is too loud and the choice of music is horrible. Your are driving customers out. Why???

This is my home gym, love it. The staff is great. Shout out to Randy that for helping me perfect my squat form! They offer a towel service which is super helpful. The bathrooms are always really clean and the equipment at the facility is well maintained. I enjoy coming here even if it’s just dropping by to use the sauna for twenty minutes.No complaints, just praise.Thank you LA Fitness!

The only reason I set foot in his location is because a wonderful Manager named Gordon. He took the time to call me after I sent a few emails about an issue I am having. He explained that this facility might be a good option for me so I took the drive to at least check it out.The facility is very impressive and the staff is welcoming. The downside for me is that the 24 mile journey for me to get there and back doesnt seem like something I would be doing. I gave it a try but I do have a mileage limit on my lease so I do need to be conscious about that. If you are in this area I strongly suggest you use this facility.Thank you Gordon for your time and the suggestion. Wish it could have worked out.

As promised before, I give five star rating after the spa pool is fixed.The spa in this location does not work on June 22nd. Hope it can be fixed soon and then I can change my review from three star to five star.I really enjoy taking exercise here. There are various kinds of equipment and group fitness courses. Opening hour is very long so that we can do night workout after a busy day. In particular, I enjoy relaxing in hot tub and sauna.

I am sold on LA fitness , it is always clean, staff is friendly & the members are awesome. It’s not the biggest gym, but it’s a location that gets it done. I switched over to this gym from EOS back in June & I have to say it’s much better in many ways. Thanks LA fitness for being awesome. I’m sold.

The staff treated me poorly. The sales people are extremely pushy and never stop calling you even if you ask them to. They call from different numbers in case youve blocked them. Super shady high pressure sales. Very Nice gym though.

They make it extremely difficult to quit and require you to print and mail in a paper form just to cancel your account. Note that signing up requires none of this.

This is a nice, clean, well-lit, spacious gym, bigger and more open than EOS, and less-crowded than mountainside or its other competitors. What set it apart most for me, though, was the customer service. The gym manager, Frank, took me on a detailed tour and clearly explained my pricing and options. He answered all my questions and didn’t bash other gyms to do so. If you’re looking for a good gym that checks all the boxes, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Appears to be a newly built gym. Lockers were not broken down. Restrooms and showers were clean. The workout equipment was brand new. Has a better layout compared to other LA fitness gyms.

It is the largest LA Fitness in the chandler area. It is very close and with the exception of the steam room, they have a good range of equipment and they work most of the time. They keep it clean. Good parking space. Friendly staff.

Recently remodeled. Nice new equipment, as long as its being cared for properly.

Clean, cool, convenient

I used to love doing a end shift and coming to this gym for 4-5 hours a night doing racket ball, working out, going to the steam room, swimming. Those hours were amazing. Since they changed it the only hours that theyre open are busy hours so its tough to get on a machine, get a court or use the steam room peacefully. The amenities are still great and the court is always full, but the hot change killed it for me.

I was very impressed with the employees at this facility, I felt like they had my best interest in mind. The equipment was top notch and in good shape. The facility was cool and comfortable to work out in. I was also very impressed with Kyle Fuller, he is a very honest and reliable man. Far too often in this business you run into individuals that make hollow promises, not Kyle he will make every effort to fulfill and make sure you are satisfied. If you have the chance to speak to someone about a membership, I highly recommend you speak to Kyle Fuller. Its not very often that I am impressed with salesmen, but I appreciated Kyles help so much my wife and I purchased him a gift certificate to Babbos as a thank you.

If youre reading this, with it only having one star heres what you should know. Its very large, with a lot of machine options. Has punching bags, basketball court, pool, etc overall a decent gym.My gripe is how hard it is to cancel. Heres my question for the business. Why can only a manager who is only available Mon-Fri 9-5 cancel my membership. When any sales team member can sign me up? This process is designed to be a hassle for the customer.I canceled the day my fees are pulled by coincidence since it was the first day I could leave the office before 5 at the Chandler Blvd location. That manager with the manager power of cancellation did so, and told me I was good to go. Find out Id still owe for the month. After several emails and calls to get their $33, I was told I had to speak to a Manager at the gym I signed up at to get it waived. Finally a rep over the phone said shed take care of it. She only added me to their do not call list.Finally begrudgingly paid for 1 month I didnt use once today. Was charged a $5 fee on the bill too.Since I could only associate with this gym to facilitate anything apparently.I realize a different gym failed to disclose my additional month... But since I could only deal with my original gym.. You get the review. May not be fair, but neither is your cancellation process.

Too many fixed cable machines. Missing a lot of the classics.

Staff is terrible... no idea what customer service is. My wife left her keys there with the key tag on them... called 3 different times... nothing found. Was Told she couldnt work out without the key tag to scan. BS -they can look up a phone#.... anyway, Waited for that to come in the mail. Then my wife goes there 2 weeks later & asks if her keys are there by chance. And the front desk person picks my wifes keys up along with all the other left keys... wouldnt they think to scan the key card attached to the keys and call to let the client know they have found their lost keys or is that too much effort? Or too much common sense? They all sit up there on their phones doing nothing. Really needing to switch gyms.

When I went into workout tonight, Zach at the front desk, was incredibly friendly and even remembered me from before. I was reviewing a paper while walking on the treadmill and Zach even graciously lent me a pen to make notes while I was there.He helps make this gym a pleasant place to be.

My second best location for LA Fintess and gym. The crew is professional and the place is not as crowded as others in the locality. I have met some amazing people in this location. The sub-urban locality adds to the stint of nice feeling.

A bit outdated and always fairly crowded but overall I enjoy this gym. Been coming here for a little over a year and I honestly dont have too many complaints. Sometimes the staff is quick to dismiss but most times they are friendly and helpful. I try to switch up the times I go so that there is less people. I use the pool a lot as well which is a nice bonus.

Is was quite enough that I didnt want to leave, felt good to get back to the gym

This is my usual Fitness Center and I do water exercise only currently and hope to move into Zumba soon. The womens locker room is always clean has plenty of lockers and just about enough showers.

You can sign up for the gym 24/7 but if you want to cancel your membership you have to talk to the operations manager and the person is not available most days or on lunch all the time. They want to delay your cancellation for as long as possible to charge you for an extra month. Well congratulations LA fitness! you successfully charged me an extra month but my money is going to the brand new gym opened up the next block charging half the price you charge and hopefully this negative review will take some business $$ away from you what your tricks

The gym has a lot of open space but the equipment is a bit dated compared to some surrounding gyms. Weights area is always packed and some equipment will have a line to use

The North Dobson is the closest location for me, but it really is my favorite. Mainly because of the size and having duplicates of my favorite machines. I have been to a lot of other locations around Arizona and this is the best in my opinion. It can be crowded at peak hours, but I still seem to get all the work in that I want.everything seems clean (for a gym) and well maintained to me. I recently moved and started using an la fitness in Scottsdale, and I miss this gym on Dobson. I will probably still try to use it as often as possible as it is close to my work.

If you are just going to work out, its fine. But if you are there to seriously train, its what youd expect from an LA Fitness. No serious power racks. Bros everywhere. The staff just ignore you when you walk in and play on their phones. Big tough guys are throwing the weights around on the floor. Crappy music being played.If you just need a place to go and do sit ups, its fine. But if you are a serious athlete, try somewhere else.

This is a very good gym and they honor my silver sneakers membership giving me free membership at the gym.

Really good gym for the price. Lot of cardio machines - never found it difficult to find one even in peak hours. The free weights section though is almost always occupied but the machines are available most of the time. Nice staff, easy to work with even if you want to discontinue.

Good gym nice people. The equipment is great and clean. 2 people usually cleaning floor and equipment. Showers need a deep cleaning or it would be 5 stars

Good layout and access to equipment but its a little warm in the building

Not sure what happen over the last couple of months but it seems like this gym is trying to do better. When I started a year ago, the personally training was off limits according to Randy. I even witnessed him removing a member who was in a wheelchair out of the area. Even though it was clearly easily for him to access machine there. At one point it seemed as if Randy didnt work their anymore and everyone was welcome to training area. I noticed hes back and just stay away from the area while hes there. Not sure why hes so passionate about that area. Bottom line is this gym gets packed and if no one is using area it should be open to other members. Daycare girls are awesome!

Shower area is especially cold in the winter time.Shower area in summer time is bearable.The water pressure in the showers used to be fine but now the water pressure has changed somehow and it stings your skin.Not a pleasant gym but great if u shower at home which a lot of ppl cant do.Ive complained about the issue many times to the front desk staff and doesnt do any good.Itll be better for a day or so and then goes right back to cold the way it was originally.And yes,the chemical smell from the lady cleaning at 4 am is highly annoying.

Overall a very nice gym with great facilities . Great variety of classes with great teachers. I recommend Trena for yoga and fujiko for zumba. I have lived and been to gyms in Europe , brazil, Malaysia. We are very spoilt here and LAFitness/ exporta gives great value for money

I was harassed by several members of the staff and when I complained about their advances nothing was done. I then cancelled my membership so that I wouldnt have to continue being subjected to their inappropriate behavior. Then I recently found out theyve continued charging me and when I explained what happened they did nothing to help me other than to say they didnt correctly process the cancellation so they had only put it on hold.STAY FAR AWAY from this gym. I havent been in years but I doubt its changed. They harass women and men constantly and then steal your money when you complain. Wish I could give zero stars.

The gym itself is clean & nice.The Mens locker room, specifically the shower area is gross. Very dirty, not regularly cleaned or maintained. Bring flip-flops!!

LA Fitness has a reputation among the gym community for having some gray practices. Please do your research before signing any agreements. Beyond that though, LA Fitness is a staple gym that hosts a larger variety of equipment, a full basketball court and raquetball court, along with a great pool. For the price you cant beat it.

I originally got my membership here because I wanted to use the pool for exercise. But with my schedule I can only come in the morning. Thats also the time the water aerobics class takes place and they hog the whole pool for themselves, so much wasted space for the geriatric ward that can barely move. I pay for the gym too it should not be dominated that much.

Typical LA Fitness gym. Plenty of cardio equipment. Could use a few more leg stations, but other than that good gym.

I like coming to LA Fitness. the machines are easy-to-use and its close to my house. I just wish it was not as crowded. I always have to wait for machines.

I have been going to LA Fitness for a few months now. At the end of the day, its near my house and gets the job done. I have never wrote a review before however wanted to let my experience be known as not all the employees are rude. I had a problem with my membership and signing up for the kids club, which lasted several days. I ended up working with the manager Megan, and let me say she was awesome. Very professional, personable, and overall did her best to help me in any way she could. I will be continuing at LA Fitness for years to come.

My husband and I have been coming to L A Fitness at Dobson and Warner since 2007. We have always been treated with courtesy. It is close to our home. Weve had personal training in 2007 and now again I have personal training with a great trainer..

This is my favorite LA in the Mesa area. I like the open-ness of the gym and the facilities are nice, pretty new equipment, good pool, spa and hot tub. I also love the classes, there are a lot of variety, and the instructors are great!

I like this gym, Ive worked with several of the trainers and they all seem very knowledgeable. Im working through a shoulder injury which has improved greatly since using the exercise routine they have showed me.the place is always clean and friendly staff I love the place no problems for me.

I have been a member for many years. About 2 months ago the speakers in the room for Zumba class have been blown. We have been trying to get our workout done but the music isn’t the same with the speakers still blown.The instructor has informed her class that she continues to ask for this problem to be rectified but still, nothing. Taking their fitness dance classes many times during the week isn’t fun anymore.This gym needs to get this fixed. Not ok!

I love this gym. Ive been going here for about 12 years and I couldnt be happier. The gentlemen at the front are outstanding, the managers help you whenever you need help, and the facility has everything I need. I dont understand how people could complain about this gym. I see negative reviews about the staff, locker rooms, hours, etc and it blows my mind. It is a gym and nothing more. And it has everything a gym should have. Highly recommend!!!!!!

My home gym, love it. Great staff

The gym is reasonably equipped but lacks modern equipment modern such as kettle bells, ropes, sleds, tires, foam rollers, and an Olympic lifting areas which have become popular and standard at other gyms over the past several years. Otherwise this gym has two of most items and is kept reasonably clean. I enjoy the large openness of the gym, multi-lane lap pool, and copious amounts of cardio equipment.The staff is nice in my opinion but I dont interact with them often. Unfortunately LA Fitness has a high turn over in most locations so system and billing expertise can be difficult to find, as is a manager. Remember this is a large middle of the road corporate gym and you will be OK. Its no Lifetime fitness, but I pay its less than half the cost and get most of what I need.
