The staff was very friendly, timely, and accommodating to me and the other customers coming in and out. I hadn’t used any auto shops in this town so this was my first time and it was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back if I need anything checked/fixed on my car again!

In the middle of a 1,600-mile road trip, I noticed when I pulled in to my Champaign hotel that my right front tire was basically flat. It was late on the Saturday afternoon before the July 4th holiday, so I knew my prospects were slim to get it fixed before hitting the road again the next morning. Midas was open for a few more minutes so I took it over there. They quickly found that the problem was a bent rim. They removed the wheel, hammered out the dent and filled the tire with air. I was good to go. I asked how much, and I was told that it was free, with good wishes for my trip. Now it is unlikely that anybody getting work done there will also have it done for free, but what a fantastic sign of this shops integrity and professionalism. If I lived in the area, I would happily take my car there to be serviced. I highly recommend it. Thanks, Midas of Champaign!

We were out of town and they were quick in helping us fix a problem - friendly and very helpful service

They are very courteous, I get my oil changed here. I would not recommend them doing major work though. I had a bad oil leak and they were going to charge over a thousand bucks to fix it, saying that the engine needed removed and recommended the radiator be flushed because it would all need to come out, and at least a four hour job. I took it to Norris tire and auto, and they fixed it in two hours and it was almost a third less than what Midas was going to charge. It was just a piece that needed changed out, apparently a common thing with the manufacturer and model of my vehicle. It just needed one plate taken out underneath to get to the part to be fixed, not the entire engine, and my radiator is fine. Kinda disappointed in midas, Id still recommend them for an oil change, but get a second opinion for other work. Maybe that was just a fluke, but Im glad I got a second opinion. Saved me almost 700 bucks.

I found I had a flat tire when I arrived at Costco. I was able to find this nearby Midas location in google map. I called and was told to bring in for a quick checkup. The wait room was very clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. I waited for 10 minutes and was told that the car was good to go since they had plug the tire already. And I was surprised to find that it’s a courtesy service. Thank you so much Midas for saving my car over the weekend in such a short amount of time, especially for someone with a toddler son. I will come back for regular service.

I took my 19year old van in for an obvious issue with the exhaust and shocks and struts. They were asked to do a complete inspection for other problems. I bought the van two years ago and had known about an oil leak and a coolant leak. When they were finished with their evaluation they estimated the cost and they were timely on the time to repair everything. The van runs very well on all my concerns about its mechanical integrity have been addressed. I am very pleased with the work they have done and highly recommend their business.

I always use Midas. The staff is always very friendly. Lobby is always clean and they have a coffee bar! You can tell that they value their customers and their work. They dont mind taking the time to explain things to you, which is really nice. I have never had a negative experience with this Midas.

I went to this location 3 times. My first experience was back around 2016-2017 and it was great! That experience wouldve received a 5-star review. I went again in 2019, the experience was okay besides my overpriced oil change and getting tricked into buying a new air filter which I found out later was unnecessary, but I didnt know any better. My most recent visit was a few months ago and I will never be going back. Long story short, I was told I had $3,000+ worth of repairs I needed to get taken care of very soon. I have taken my vehicle to two different places since then, one a close family friend and the other actual family, both have been working on vehicles forever and did very thorough inspections, and both told me theres nothing wrong with my vehicle. Needless to say, if youre someone who doesnt know a lot about vehicles do NOT go to this location. You will end up misled and cheated out of your hard-earned money.

Very thorough and honest with explaining any repairs that need to be done. The prices have always been extremely reasonable and they finish any repairs I needed in less time than they estimate. I have been to both the Champaign and Urbana locations and the service is consistent, both are extremely friendly, courteous, honest and prompt. You definitely have me as a regular!

I scheduled an online appointment, however, due to COVID they’re backed up. I went in and spoke with Patrick, he is really professional and offered to get me in as son as he can. Definitely recommend this location, they have great customer service I felt like they are here for the customer!! Customer service was so stellar that I am going to wait until my appointment.

I always have such a wonderful experience at this specific Midas. I dont feel like Im just another customer or just dollar sign to the managers or employees here. When I go to Midas for my car needs, I am treated more like a neighbor. Its such a breath of fresh air. Pat and Misti go above and beyond for their customers. When I walk in there and talk to them, I can tell they really care about the issues and they will do their best to help me. They are quick, efficient, and try offer the best prices. If they cant offer the best prices, they arent shy in pointing you in the right direction. I wish I had found them sooner!Today was a particularly rough day, I went in with a bent rim and flat tire. They truly blessed me today by fixing my rim and giving me advice on what to do in the future. Businesses like this, really are a blessing in our little community. We are lucky to have them. My boyfriend took the car there for a regular oil change. I found a coupon online for just 20 dollars. They checked the car and pointed out many many problems including both engine and transmission and tires and belts and all kinds of other oils.......total amount up to $1500. Little did they know that the car was also inspected all over at a 4s shop just recently and we were told nothing was bad but engine oil. I think they just want to over sell us. Oh. Besides, their estimate for the belt is $200, and we got it checked at another place (we’re concerned since the car is old) and theirs is $70. Three times more expensive. Wow.

Patrick and his team are all very professional. I brought a work vehicle in for service and they were able to finally figure out what was wrong after another shop gave me the run around. He asked for follow up when referring me to a dealership for a recall. I definitely feel like this shop cares for its customers and does not try to deceive them. I pulled into shop around 5:20 PM. I was hearing a rattling noise from my car. I explained that I had no appointment but had an hour drive and asked if they could please take a look at the car. The tech was able to figure out the problem; tightened the heat guard in ten minutes. Didn’t charge me at all. Super appreciate. Thank you!!!

I would highly recommend Midas in Champaign to everyone. I’m the first to admit my understanding about cars is limited. Everyone on staff at Midas is so kind and informative. You never get pushed to complete a service you don’t want to get. Plus, they’re friendly and keep their waiting area clean and comfortable. My 2001 Silverados exhaust hasbhas patched and modded well before I inherited the thing. Its always been obnoxiously loud and annoying, but the muffler finally blew out last week. Despite being short-staffed and overwhelmed, Tara and her team got me in and made the truck more pleasant to drive thaan its been in my 4 years of ownership.

Very efficient group. Arrived at the shop, the assistant manager greeted me, let me know what they would be doing, had me sign paperwork, performed the oil change quickly and efficiently, gave me a run down of any concerns they had about the car. They mentioned my battery was getting a little old and their diagnostics showed that it should be replaced--they suggested before Winter. I appreciated the heads up. Nothing worse than going to your car in the Winter and finding the battery dead. Overall a good experience.

Went in with the check engine light on asked for a diagnostic test . Left with light cleared and free of charge. Great customer and fast service. Thanks again🙂

I really like coming here! I am new to the area and live nearby so when I googles oil changes near me this popped up towards the top. This was my second time coming here & both times I have gone, I have received excellent service, they explain things in a way I can understand, and make sure I know whats going on with my car. I really appreciate the service they put into my car & the inspection they do to make sure Im good to leave. I always stay and wait. They have wifi so I can do work & seem to be cognizant about my time as well. Also usually have a good deal with their oil changes.

I have used Midas for several years now, and have been very impressed with the service, especially from Patrick. I feel they tell me honestly what needs to be done immediately or if something can wait. Tonight my wife heard a loud screeching sound when she was pulling out from her parking space. Sounded like it was coming from the rear breaks. This was about 4:00pm Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called Midas and asked if she could bring it up expecting that they wouldn’t be able to get to it until Friday. They said to bring it up and they would look at it right away. Turned out a walnut had gotten wedged in the brakes, probably put there by a squirrel. That’s all it was. They checked the brakes and said everything looked good and they were fine. They didn’t charge her anything either. I will continue to take my vehicles there for service and will recommend them.

I took a used car here to get it checked out before deciding whether or not to buy it. The manager Patrick Johnson was extremely helpful and straightforward about the issues with the car, and waved the $60 fee (which was already an extremely reasonable price) since I am trying to buy my very first car. He walked through each individual issue and the cost to fix these, as well as how necessary they would be right away. Overall, excellent service. I will definitely be returning!

Made an appt online and I got an email saying they will contact me in 30 mins, after 3 hours of waiting I went in at my scheduled time and they said they have no room...why was I not called or emailed that there was no space?! There should be more info put up on their site or something, wasted my time and I barely made it to another place before the end of the day, wont use in the future ever

My daughter is 18 and at school at U of I which is 3 hours from home. I didn’t know who to call when her brakes started making a grinding noise. I found this Midas on a google search and they were fantastic to work with. I was worried about my daughter getting ripped off but they went over everything what she had to have now and what could wait. I felt very comfortable leaving her car there. Misty who helped me and took all of my annoying calls was patient and very nice.

Do not trust them. Take an initial invoice with you when leaving for their repair. When I come back to pick up the invoice amount was changed, but I did not take the initial invoice so I could not argue with them. They showed me the previous invoice but I could not guaranty that it was the same one.

I am an international student who is going through car maintenance experience for the first time in my life. I was worried a lot about my car since I did not know anything about the process of maintenance and mechanical terms for cars. Fortunately, Misti helped me very kindly and patiently. Generally I can say this is a very nice garage. The staff was very helpful and the building was clean. It was a pleasant experience overall.The story, I was driving on the interstate and heard a sound, this Midas answered the call and said they would check it out and let me know so I can get on my travels through to Ohio. After inspecting my car they told AND showed me the issue and gave a quote to fix it. The issue was my brake caliper busted and my wheel would have locked up or lost my brakes if I kept going. I spoke with Misti, the assistant manager how the quoted price concerned me (for an entire new front brakes) and she worked with me and got the price below other garages in the area. Additionally, may I add this Midas completed the work in an hour and twenty minutes! (Other garages said it should take up to four hours) I could not have been more thankful for their willingness to help a stranded traveler. The people at this place care about their customers and will walk you through everything they do. I would absolutely stop at this Midas again if I lived in the area.

He made me feel like I was the only customer that mattered at the time. You dont see that much these days. The staff was courteous and explained everything to me every step of the way. I went in for an oil change. Patrick Johnson (owner) changed my oil but also told me I needed to change my cabin air filter. I get really skeptical when car places tell me I need to do something else. I think Patrick could tell I was skeptical when he was explaining. Instead of changing it for me, he gave me an even better idea. He told me to go to an auto parts store and buy a new cabin air filter for about half the price. If that wasnt good enough, he personally showed me how to change the air filter. It is so easy!!! I REALLY appreciated the customer service and extra help because I am on a tight budget being a newly wed. Patrick was so great and kind. I will be using this location for oil changes and car services in the future! They truly wanted to help with my car and not just get money from me.

I have been taking my cars to this facility since summer of 2010. Since then I have owned four different vehicles, and I can honestly say that I have never been left on the side of the road due to any vehicle system failures. The staff here are easy to talk to, making it effortless to establish open avenues of communication.

Had a bunch of work and new tires put on my mothers Cadillac up at a Midas in the Chicago suburbs but had a vibration that they could not fix - Patrick quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem! Sure is nice to have a local Midas that knows what they are doing and thanks for a speedy fix! Ill be back with my personal vehicals as they need work done.
