Great intimate place for a party or reception. Staff is excellent and the venue welcomes a lot of design potential. The ceilings are pretty low, but acoustics are great!

Unfortunately I did not get to use the event center due to the pandemic. In spite of this, Jason at Shores was nothing short of respectful, flexible and professional. He worked with us to try to find an alternate date and with the shifting guidance from public health and the state, it became increasingly challenging to solidify a date. We had to cancel. He was incredibly understanding and responsive. He offered a prompt refund, which is more than I expected and better than my experience with other organizations who were not even remotely accommodating. I have every intention of using Shores for something in the future, simply because the customer service was stellar and the venue is outstanding. THIS is how you keep a customer base. Thank you Jason!

Romantic, industrial space for any event! I have only attended weddings here, but I can see this space being great for more initimate corporate meetings and/or parties.

Really lovely spot for parties and Ive been to several meetings there. really easy parking and easy to get to by elevator. Jason is a great guy and a good host. I like the brick walls and the whole feel of the room is really cool. its a perfect spot for lots of different events.

Shores is such a unique venue. The industrial setting was a perfect for the play! What a great place to experience the creativity and artistry of a small stage. The actors were terrific! I can also say its a great place for a reception or gathering too!!

We had our daughters graduation party at Shores Event Center. Jason was very accommodating during the pandemic, helping us to reschedule our party. We had many guests comment on how beautiful the facilities were. We highly recommend hosting an event there!

This space is a perfect gem of Cedar Rapids. Management is always looking at how to curate the best experience for its clients. Very responsive, very creative and always aiming to please. Any event or special occasion is worth booking the space based on planning experience alone. A wonderful place to experience any type of occasion you book.

We really appreciated how Jason worked with our group to make our annual event special. The space was large and open, which allowed for us to arrange our event in any way desired, and free and abundant parking were welcome also. The attractive brick walls from the past use of a warehouse along with the low ceiling reduced the need for loud amplification, but people could still visit for the social part of the evening. Thanks Jason!

Shores event center is a great space for any event. It has a very cozy feel with all the old brick walls and columns. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. We hosted an anniversary party there with 80+ people and there is room for plenty more. I highly recommend hosting your event there.

I have attended TWO of their live music concerts there in 2019. Their first ever show, featuring national country music artists Ayla Brown and Rob Bellamy... and another later show, featuring the local artists/group Oceana (Lacy and Gerard). Both shows were opened by local singer/songwriter Marty Carpenter (The Heartache Connoisseur). This venue is absolutely PERFECT for live, intimate music concerts like this. The ticket prices are SO reasonable, the renovated space is acoustically ideal, the bar service is conveniently located at the back of the venue, the staff is friendly and attentive... you cant go wrong. I will continue to support this venue and attend their shows. #topnotch

I held my husband Celebration of Life there. The staff was friendly and nice. Everything was set up the way I wanted it. Over all a great place. This was our second time using this center and we will continue to use.

I had a great experience attending my first Cork & Canvas. I was not sure what to expect since I have little artistic ability. The instructor provided step by step instructions, assistance and even some suggestions. The atmosphere was perfect and quaint for the occasion.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. the atmosphere is great and the price for rental is alright.you can rent table cloth from them, which first of seem a couple bucks more expensive. but they do not charge extra for delivering, cleaning or setting up, so you are better of renting from them then an external company.we would deffinately have a event there again

A great space for all kinds of events. Even though it is on a lower level, there is an elevator for stair adverse people. I recently found out that they do escape rooms for private parties! I hope to have one for my birthday! Additionally there is a stage and lighting available for performances. I really like the Living Improverty improv group that plays there monthly.

A fun place for events hosted by businesses, families, etc. Ours was catered with a D.J. and dancing for a holiday party.

They have been very accommodating for our trainings we have for the local Child Care Association. Plenty of room!

Didnt like the construction around the building. The room was pretty I think you could get some good pictures if you had a wedding part there, but it was so loud when you got a lot of people very hard to visit

I have had the privilege of going to Shores Event Center for classes, a party, Underground Escape and a reception. It is AWESOME! You will not get better customer service anywhere else in town! The space is beautiful! I look forward to my next visit to Shores Event Center.

Cabinet Studio is a wonderful place to visit! Full of differing styles and concepts. I found Employees to quite informative and helpful.

This was a great venue for the improv show we came to see. The ambiance and energy made for a great evening. Hope to attend similar events there in the future.

Beautiful place to attend a party or have an event. Downside is there is no kitchen so if youre the host PLAN AHEAD! Difficult to have a large part with no place to clean a mess, have a wet towel or wash your hands.
